Incredibly low-cost, low maintenance, permanent electric fence for sheep, and horses. Needed a semi permanent Equine fence and had researched a number of systems. Ended up with Insulated Line Post from Gallagher because we have heavy clay, sheep and horses. Keira explained they were suitable for every environment, animal and easily installed by hand without the need for machinery which we only had a star picket digger. The post contains multiple wire heights - pre-formed wire attachment locations with snap-on clips and it was done by two inexperienced girls in a half a day. Keria and the team went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and took the time to answer all our questions and even helped our calculations. Top Service and will be back!!

Have been going to Hoogies Yarra Glen for a few years now and have had some good experiences but needed to leave a review after the excellent customer service from Daniel earlier today.Grandparents were travelling through and their diesel generator broke down. We were told by other service centers it would be at least a week before they could even look at it. One phone call to Daniel, who appreciated the urgency for the job, fit us in and half an hour later they were back on the road. What a champion! Really appreciate his professionalism and courtesy. Top bloke!

In the home hardware section of the store I, as a licensed plumbing contractor, was met with unprofessional and condesending customer service. Handy men giving incorrect advise on plumbing products. Then overcharged through spite because I pointed out the correct way the products should be used, and the fact they were giving wrong, possibly dangerous infomation on products they didn't fully understand. I suggest you either employ an x plumber if you are going to sell plumbing products (including roofing) or educate the staff to know their limitations.

Great customer service and friendly staff.Great place for all your D.I.Y jobs good range items. Very impressed with the Stihl and Honda range and they service Stihl and Honda machines which is great. Good range of Timber, plumbing, garden , work boots, Paint, tools, garden, power tools, key cutting, Davy water pumps, adhesive glues, bolts, nuts, nails, screws, pool testing and chemicals.

Specifically asked by phone if they had 3.5" long 1/4" size UNF thread bolts and was told they do. After driving from Kinglake, when I got there I found only had UNC threaded bolts and nothing near the size I asked for. You'd think a hardware store might have some sort of idea about hardware but apparently not. Good customer service, but obviously no bloody idea.

Hoogies is without a doubt a fantastic hardware store . Helpful staff, huge range of stock in all areas of trades and farming. Hoogies offers a wide variety of supplies including tools, fixings, paint, timber, plumbing, electrical, gardening, and much more. Their staff is consistently cheerful and ready to assist you with any questions or queries.

We have been into Hoogies twice in the past two weeks to buy supplies and on both occasions were fortunate to have been served by a lovely girl called Marcia. Oh my goodness she was so helpful with such an energetic personality, what an asset she must be to your business thanks again to you and your lovely staff member, we will be back.

They did not have the fire safety quick release door locks I needed to buy and neither did Coldstream Timber & Hardware or Bunnings at Ringwood. The snub type is unsafe just as are their smoke alarms. Otherwise Hoogies was well stocked with a good variety of other products for both farm and household use.

Excellent friendly customer services! Abby from Hoogies Yarra Glen went out of her way to track my online order from Mitre 10 when delivery was delaid. She kept me up to date with phone calls and was just as excited when the product got delivered to the store. Will definitely support this business again!

After one of your drivers cut me off in traffic then proceeded to go 20km under the speed limit towing a trailer with no lights working and one taillight working on the Ute then proceeded to give me the finger as I drive passed.....all while displaying your logo on the Ute

It's not the usual giant hardware-and-outdoor-furniture barn, true. But if you need paint, or screws, or fencing, or gloves, or timber - well, you get the idea. They've probably got it, plus they've got rural pipe fittings and good advice.

I worked at Hoogies as a teenager, and have provided design services as an adult, and seen the business go from strength to strength. They offer a great personal and reliable service for the town and surrounding areas.

Really helpful and friendly staff. You're able to walk into the fencing area where they also sell animal food etc. You can also see their timber and metal products such as roofing etc

Went in and bought electrical 15amp lead and a pair of gummy boots,staff ever so friendly,eager to help and good advice on other products,plenty parking and wheel chair access

Terrible service, waited in the shop for 15 mins before someone helped us, wanted to buy a harness, there was 2 on the shelf that apparently wernt for sale
