There are some who swear by Boxcar. It was highly recommended so I came. Not sure if I will again. App was pretty good... Charcuterie board. $20 but good. Enough for 2. I had special: Catfish. This fish was flavorful but SOFT. Not sure if it was steamed or sauteed in water but the texture was not good at all. Very fishy not could not eat it. Fortunately my guest, who is a catch catfish fan didn't enjoy his meal so he ate mine. My guest had duck leg. Search as we might we found plenty of sausage and a few strands of meat in this stew but no duck leg. Server was the one who told us those strands of meat were the meat pulled off the legs! We certainly didn't identify it as such and being a duck fan we wishes it could have tasted like duck. Next time I'll just order the apps!

I was in Atlanta for a wedding weekend visiting from N Louisiana. I stopped at HC to bring a haul back with me. The staff was super helpful and I found a great selection. They split packs so I could try more beers on my limited budget. The selection of beer was diverse and very deep. There's a variety for every style of beer. I walked away with some great IPAs, sours, and various others. Jared was super helpful, as I had some specific requests. He knew whether or not they had most of the beers on my list and was able to point me to the beers I might enjoy the most. I would highly recommend this location! If I'm over that way again I'll definitely come back.

If you’re looking to fulfill a large or exotic order of anything, this is the place to go. The staff was very helpful with my somewhat unusual order of 80 cans of mead for a social event. The guy I talked to on the phone clearly explained the options, pricing, etc. and set aside my order for a couple days until I could pick it up. Once I got to the store, I saw the huge draft bar inside and massive selection of wine and beer. The staff gave me some stickers for free with my order and were great to talk to.

We love Hop City - the food is great and the wine selection at the market is really great. But our favorite thing about Hop City and why we keep going back every week is because of the bar service, specifically Mason. He's very fun and welcoming and he makes amazing drinks. The best margaritas ever. He's really helped us make Hop City be our preferred hang out and we've been bringing all our friends with us . Very grateful for this establishment and for Mason!

(they mix some mean cocktails too.)

This is located on the ground floor, underneath Boxcar. It's a nice, open space with bar in the front and store in the back. Super friendly staff. The store features an awesome selection of wines and beers from all over the world. Natural wines too. There's also some lounge seating. There's two separate registers: one for the bar and one for the beer/wine store. They're both card only, no cash.

Nice space with great upstairs patio and in a fun location in the Atlanta area. Really liked the selection of beers they had, and wished I had chose to eat there as opposed to a restaurant downtown. Atmosphere is Trendy / upscale, yet prices seem fair for pints and other drinks. Only criticism I can give, is bar service (for outdoor patio) was slow for me, and often felt forgotten.

My favorite place! I love Mason and Gentry as staples at the bar - they make hop city feel like a community. I miss seeing Nomi and Seth downstairs though! The wine shop is an absolute gem and I can always count on Katie Rebecca and Jerome to point me in the right direction. The selection is stellar, the service is great and the downstairs area always feels like a real hub.

Everything was great. We were disappointed the food wasn’t offered, but we were encouraged to go get food and come back to hang. My boyfriend and I asked for a Tropicalia, and Mason told us he didn’t have that but could give us something even better. Will be back soon, and we hope Mason is there when we are! P.s. we are now life long fans of Parish brewing

I love the look. I love i can buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it at the bar or have a glass of wine ive never had and buy it eight there. I love the openness of the bar. GREAT BAR TENDER. Quick and remembers drinks and super friendly. I went on 4/29 around 4 and it wasn't packed but had enough people to mingle and cross conversations for great laughs.

ALL of the staff is ALWAYS friendly and happy to give excellent recommendations. I’ve yet to meet a bartender who doesn’t have an awesome, knowledgeable suggestion, or anyone near the coolers who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. At the risk of my own personal infuriation, I’d highly recommend this spot for all of your beer & beer tastings!!!

Went last night to check out some local offerings. A very solid selection on tap as well as in the bottle shop. Both the bartender and the person in the bottle shop were extremely knowledgeable about beer and the service was outstanding! Got a few goodies to bring back to Texas, and will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town.

Hop City is our neighborhood Cheers- we love coming here, seeing friends, and getting great service from Gentry, Mason, Chaz, Alex, and Nomi. My only recommendation would be for the music to be a bit quieter so having a conversation or hearing the bartenders is easier. The louder music is a more recent thing we’ve noticed.

Have to split the rating on this one. Nice selection, but the service is below even the liberal standards I have for the rating of “atrocious” - I sat for 10 minutes waiting to be acknowledged at the bar, and there were only four other people present! FWIW, they seemed to be equally ignored, so I didn’t take it personally.

This place is awesome! My friend and I popped in during a wedding at a venue at the same complex, and Gentry and Mason made sure we felt great before we went back to the event. Those guys are awesome, and I’m looking forward to exploring the selections of beer and wine they told us about over in the bottle shop

Hop City West End is our go-to bottle shop! They have an amazing selection and Reba and Eric have never steered us wrong with their recommendations. I love walking in there (particularly after a long day) because I know I'm going to have a nice chat and walk away with a great bottle of wine.

This IS my FAVORITE Bar in Atlanta and I'll tell you why... the staff are incredible especially Mason and Gentry! They remember my name and even my drink. I can get Jack anywhere, but I come back to HC because I love these people! Mason, Gentry, Nomi, Katie, Rebecca, David, and Jerome!

An excellent place to grab some beers, whether at the bar or to-go. They have quite a few beers on draft to enjoy in a glass or to take home in a growler. And they great selection of cans and bottles for both beer and wine. If you're looking for a variety of beer, this is your place!

Great time. Great host and waitress. No wait time. The wings were yummy we had Asian spicy and Buffalo I believe.. and the biscuits and gravy s/ chicken tenders added… we’ve never had one so delicious!!! The bread was perfect the gravy was flavorful, the chicken was perfectly cooked.

Hop City West End is a great little bar with a full retail wine and beer store. It's separate from the upstairs "Hop City Boxcar," which is a full-service restaurant. They have a good selection of beers, but I wish they closed a bit later and had more food options.

Wide selection, excellent and friendly staff and a real meeting point for the community. It's done the best it can with gently reminding people to be safe, and has become a popular and appreciated spot for people to meet. Can't say enough good about it.

Love this place! You can have a seat at the bar inside or outside, patio seating, great industrial elements with modern designs incorporated. MY favorite Bartender/host is Saimone! As we relate as Jamaicans! Lol. Great location off the Belt Line!

Atmosphere was so chill, music was great staff was really nice and the yeah baby cocktail was delicious! The menu was a bit confusing while ordering beers on tap as some are only available upstairs but that would be my only comment!

Great craft beer bottle/can selection! Awesome selection from their 48 beers on tap! However, couldn’t give them a 5 star rating mainly because they do NOT offer the ability to purchase flights AND they are a bit OVERPRICED.

OMG!!! The burger that Jacob (the amazing bartender) recommended was absolutely fantastic. Try the stranger on the train burger. and the drinks Jacob and Alex tag team so well. we love great service and we'll be back …

They closed before their posted hours of 10pm. It was a Saturday night, with hundreds of first-timers forming their first opinions of Lee + White. Good luck building customer loyalty when you run a business like that.

Cool spot that's a bar, restaurant above, and a beer store. I've never seen so many ipa selections in my life. A year later different bartenders who take forever to acknowledge or ask you what you'd like.
