I saw this church on an instagram ad 2 years ago when I was lost and looking for Jesus. The teacher preacher sermon style helped me learn and want to read my Bible, and the worship experience is always amazing. While the pastor is funny, all his messages are based in the truth of the word of God. This isn't prosperity gospel or hyper grace. But grace and truth. If you need a home, Hope City is the place. God has really used hope city to spread the hope and love of Jesus christ and it has pushed me even further in my relationship with jesus and others than I could've asked for. Hope city is established by God and will grow into a beacon of light in the city of Houston. My prayer for the church and it's pastors is that they continue doing the work of God in the church and in our community. So blessed and thankful for a church like this, I don't think this review does it justice, it's just that amazing. And also you do get what you put in. It's easy to be overtaken by the crowd and production quality and think oh it's just a motivation mega church, but if that's your perspective when you walk in, that's probably gonna be your perspective when you walk out. It took me a year to join the connect group and 2 years to join a dream team, but if you do that when you first join, you'll find that Hope City digs even deeper for your relationship with Jesus. Some people write these reviews and think they don't get spiritually fed but the pastor is diligent in trying to get you in the word of god rather than just crumbs from a preacher. He is diligent in getting you in connect groups bc he knows that a church on Sunday isn't gonna cut it, and we need to walk with believers during the week. He truly does speak a strong multi layered message. At the surface, it's enough to be understood and possibly accepted to a non believer, but if you would inspect his messages closer, you will find something there (unless blinded by your own pride or unwillingness) for even well versed believers.

My husband spoke so highly of this church and I couldn't wait to try it out, but I was disappointed from the moment I pulled into the parking lot. It's a mega church and you will certainly just be another face in the shuffling crowd. You will never get to know your pastors as they are more like untouchable celebrities than pastors. Even if they wanted to know their members, they couldn't! Every service I tried was very gimmicky- comedians on stage instead of preachers. No real truths spoken, just those warm and fuzzy feel good, watered down messages. And, of course, more than one "give me your money, but like I totally hate asking this, but like have you seen this several million dollar location we're buying, please give us your money" message. I was so sad when I learned my husband had been giving this sham of a church our monthly tithes. The people behind it are lining their pockets on the good intentions of people who don't know any better. Want to attend a concert with lights and all? A comedy show? A service that will never feed you any substance? A church that doesn't even write a lot of their material (I found some of their more gimmicky services performed by other churches around the country online)? A pastor who doesn't care to know his congregation? A church that will happily take your money while making you feel real good about it? A church that pulls out all the stops to bring as many people in as possible for that sweet, sweet cash (don't forget to check out the pastors online and see those nice lives they're living with your money)? A church that will respond to negative feedback in a very cult-like way by saying "we love you!"? Then, my friends, take yourself on down to Hope City!

We've been with Pastor Jeremy since The 429 days with Grace Church. Why we love Hope City? 1.His powerful message from the Word that never fails to make us laugh. It's a good ab workout. 2. The friendliness of the entire church to everyone who visits. Everyone gets greeted with a high five. You can see the love and passion in all who volunteer. Their willingness to serve God & the community is admirable! 3. The diversity is amazing! Definitely represents Houston well. You can find different ethnicities of all ages so you don't have to feel out of place/uncomfortable. 4. Spirit-filled worship. The lights, the music, It's not for everyone. Some people don't like the concert like feel but I do. I think we should worship God in a big way and don't believe the great production take away from God at all. King David danced with all his might, shouted and sounded trumpets. So bring it on! But hey there's always going to be a "Michal Daughter of Saul" observing and judging. 5. The Connect Groups that help you stay accountable outside of the church is life changing! You can create new, Godly friendships that will help you keep your eyes focused on Christ and help pray for your needs. Great people to do life with. You are not alone! 6. They have growth track classes that help you discover your purpose, understand the church's vision, and to help you determine where you belong in the Dream Team (volunteer opportunities). 7. There are multiple locations available, a variety of service times and great child care for all ages! Times Saturday: 7:00pm Sunday: 8:00am | 9:30am | 11:30am | 1:15pm

I had no plans of going to church today, but since I have to get my oil changed, I'm making a the most of these day. Everyone is friendly, the music is Very Loud, they have a table with ear plugs These guys are full of energy. This was my 1st time at a Hope City Church or listening to their message. It's a multiethnic church. Some people dressed up, other's are in causal wear. The message was easy to understand. I took notes here ha haha Faith Comes By Hearing Rom 10.17. Take Courage.. Wisdom an Revelation Eph 1.17 Heb 1.11 Faith in What We Do Not See Trust God Grow in God's Way Romans 10.10 Jon 14 .6 Eph 2.8 Gift of God Move Out of The OLD Life into The New John 17.17 Your Word Is Truth. Death & Life are in the Power of the Tongue Proverbs 18.21 Hmm.. I verse I heard while at home. Psl 119.9 Have a different perspective. James 2.17 Faith Grows Faith Leads You and Grows Ex 15.2 My Song Luke 1 37 There Is A Freedom 2Cor 5.7 BY FAITH This church is in Houston Christian High School. They have to do a lot of work preparing for the Sunday services. Setting up and take down everything. There was a sign letting folks know there are groups to join. Over all its seems to be a church that people like. This campus has 3 services on Sunday. 8.30a, 10.30a, and 12.30p. I went to the 12.30 service. The good thing about this service is that people can sleep in or not rush to get to church. hahaha This message was like the message I heard this morning coming from within me. Except, this church had a lot more verse. I didn't get all the eXtra Fluff ha ha ha

So I've been attending for about 5 years now, and actively involved with the dream team. This church has been a blessing to me in the past (among other things, I met my wife here), but I'm seeing a disturbing trend. Pastor Jeremy has a spiritual gift, but I've noticed a profound change in his presentation. Before, you knew you would get a preaching reminiscent of an old gospel church that would stay with you for days. Now, he seems to be caught up in getting laughs via endless recycled jokes and animated movements. His sermons range from forgettable, to annoying. I've noticed an intrusion of worldly influences as well. I don't care about what celebrity pastors you hang out with, or the celebrities a guest pastor "ministers" to. I also don't appreciate using the pulpit to advertise the worship team's upcoming album. Service is about one thing, and those aren't it. Those are selfish desires. This past Sunday is probably the last chance I'll give them. The guest pastor blatantly stated Jesus lied during his sermon and didn't back down. The directors need to take a step back and reevaluate the direction HC has taken. Stop with all the gimmicks and seeker sensitive nonsense. The word of God is all you need to reach people.

I went to the Katy branch of Hope City Church which is at Morton Ranch School during my visit to see family in Katy. I was not disappointed! I was warmly welcomed at the entrance by several church volunteers, all high-fiving me til I got to the lobby. There I had some coffee which they were offering free with donuts. No donuts for me though. The worship team was astounding. Very Hillsong-y. The girl lead singer had the choice of an angel! Then, when it was time to hear the word, the pastor, Jeremy Foster, was flashed on the giant screen on stage. Apparently they were streaming from their main church. It was my first time to experience something like this and initially I was disappointed because I really prefer seeing the pastor on stage, in the flesh, during service. But my disappointment was washed away - the sound and visuals were so good that it felt like he was there with us and his message for the New Year resonated in my heart. Pastor Jeremy is half funny, half fiery and finds interesting ways to share God's word. I suddenly wished that I lived in Katy and went to this church. But apparently, they stream their service on their Facebook so I can always just go online and check them out.

I have been at hope city since launch and I absolutely loved the church but over the years I feel the quality of his messages are no longer he wya they use to be. They use to be saturated in the word and I don’t feel he uses theology as much as he use to. Also I feel like every year I get the same exact message. Hope city is an incredible church if you are a new Christian because he really preaches in a way that would attract a non-believer however for a Christian who wants to get more spiritually fed I personally feel for myself it’s not enough. I believe we are living in times where as Christians we can not be biased or speak what the crowd wants to hear, we need to be told the hard truth about the word regardless if it offends people. I want to taught on speaking in tongues, prophesy, what the Bible says about the end times, homosexuality, what’s is the Bible’s stance on politics, as Christians i want to be challenged and I just feel like hope city is leaning more on being “motivational speaking”. I really do love the church and wish I would get more out of it but I don’t feel like I have been able to grow spiritually there anymore

I’m putting one star just so someone will look. The church itself is awesome I love attending service. But I’m disappointed in the lack of concern for covid. As numbers are rising and our hospitals are saturated please reconsider requiring masks. Pastor Jeremy was lucky and blessed that his battle with covid didn’t end him in a hospital on a vent but not everyone is as lucky. I want to also be able to enjoy services but I can’t because no one wears a mask and don’t say I can wear a mask because if you understand science you know that’s not how masks work. I wear it to protect you and you wear it to protect me. If that’s not something your willing to do then reintroduce the outside viewing. Give us options to still get to go to church. Please I don’t know how else to communicate with the leadership as I’ve voiced mh concern to staff there many times. Outside seating is definitely an option for people who are scared. But please with concern for all of humanity reintroduce masks. (Happy to change my review to 5 stars once I can communicate with someone like I said I love hope city)

I have attended Hope City for a while now but I do not believe that I will be back. I love that the church is so diverse when it comes to age, ethnicity, nationality etc. The team members are ALWAYS welcoming and smiling. The other people attending the church are very polite and respectful. As much as I would love to continue to be part of this Church I do not feel that I can connect anymore. The first sermon that I attended was back at The 429. I was drawn to Pastor Jeremys ability and willingness to go deep into the scripture and preach an unapologetically real sermon. But that has definitely changed. Pastor Jeremy and his guest Pastors have a gift that dissipates in between their excessive amounts of corny/offensive 'jokes' and overly animated behavior. I understand that light and animated deliveries can make church fun & approachable but it can also weaken your message. The watered-down sermons may work for those that just want to be able to say that they went to church but it doesn't work for me.

This church is amazing, I love seeing people from all walks of life come into the services. My 2nd date with my boyfriend was here about 2 years ago and we built our foundation on God with the guidance from the sermons Pastor Jeremy preaches. I feel so full every single time I leave here, I've watched this church grow along with the people that dedicate their lives to it, it's all beautiful and I've never seen it like this at any church that I've been to. The production and worship team are exceptional and they know how to give you all the feels when it comes to connecting with God. I go through my week humming and singing the songs they perform. They have donated to many causes very near and dear to me like human trafficking and the guest speakers always deliver as well. I plan to build my life around this church and I can't wait to see what we all accomplish together in the future.

I moved back to Texas in August if 2020 my husband and I have been searching for a church that truly loves God and who invites the Holy Spirit to come hang out with us in Church and in our lives daily my first visit was 3 weeks ago and it was with Pastor Daniel Grives on on Unshakeable Faith and Then UnStopable Favor of God and then Unfailing Father and I know in my heart this is where we need to be thank you Pastir Groves for being so obedient to our Heavenly Father and teaching us on who we are in Christ and important it is that we know who has us not what we have but who has us. Unshakable Faith=Unstoppable Favor with an Unfailing Father who gave us the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our paths to get us through any circumstance we might be going through because if we keep our eyes on Jesus He is our Breakthrough our victory for any battle what an Amazing God we Serve❣️❣️

As another person stated, Hope City has turned to a celebrity style church. Jeremy lied to thousands of people, his wife and family to be with a woman he once spoke against. It’s sickening. And hope city will delete your comments and block you if you speak ill will against him. This has nothing to do with Jesus or the Christian faith, it just goes to show that earthly men cannot be trusted, if they’re on Instagram looking for likes, on stage in their trendy little clothes, out and about with celebrities, it’s just major red flags. Anyway, Hope city has displayed red flag after red flag. Look up “Jeremy foster scandal” on Reddit and you will see his lovely mistress… Lol at the church’s response. Apparently there is plenty of negative feedback for current leadership. I think y’all are the ones who need some deep inner searching. Give me a break

  • Joe

Jeremy Foster lead hope city for as long as I can remember. His sermons were really the only kind that I could actually understand and feel change in my life. When the news broke that he had cheated on his wife and will be stepping down as pastor I was so confused. For so long we were lied to and listened to a man that was lying and cheating in his own life. It broke my faith and with that a huge part of me and how I view the world. I’ve left comments and reached out to Hope City looking for closure and just to make sense of things and all my comments have been deleted and no one will respond to me. Hope city doesn’t care about the morality that comes with representing and teaching about God and instead is more focused on the things that are good for money. This isn’t a church this is just another broken way of the world.

  • nneoma e

i miss pastor jeremy! still so sad how they did him. he’s always been vocal about his imperfections but if anyone should be an example of forgiveness, it should be the church. the services just don’t feel the same knowing that he’s the one that brought all those ppl to Christ and made Hope City’s success. the church has become a business that cares more about losing followers of a man (aka $$$) than ppl who were led to christ through the preachings of a well spoken man of God. not to mention all the pastors after him follow his methods and strategies. Yes he made a horrible mistake but so did every last one of Jesus’s disciples and that didn’t stop God from using them. I haven’t been to the church since and don’t plan on returning until the same grace that is extended to us from Christ is extended to pastor jeremy.

  • Kristin Emery

Wow, we’re to begin. This is a church led by the enemy. It always has been, but the truth came out once their pastor left for a massage parlor employee, that he had openly been seeing to the point the people surrounding him in the church knew (yes, the people STILL running that church.) Once he left, they sent his WIFE & KIDS packing, with little to no support. This is only all the tip of the iceberg. PLEASE do your own research before you walk into this church. They have stolen money from me & thousands of others for a project they ultimately canceled to support their now struggling church (built all in the living room of their beloved “leader” & the wife they sent packing, no wonder it’s failing & I hope it ultimately does.) They stand for nothing in the image of Christ. Find any other church than this one.

In the middle of chaos, I found myslef attending Hope City virtually at the beginning of the pandemic last year. Absolutely LOVED it. The engery, Pastor Jeremy, the guest pastors, the virtual involvement and support . It all became a big part of our Sunday worship from home. A month ago I attended my first in person worship with them. I was with my 18month old daughter who loves to sing a long and worship. I wanted her to experience the beauty of being there in person for the first time. In the middle of service she begin to babble and I was escorted to a back room (kids room) because she was "too loud." This kids room had a tv screen that flickered in and out of the service and not enough chairs or space for all the families that were in there. It was truly disappointing.

I have to post this review as hearing the news this morning at the Hope City service about Pastor Jeremy‘s infidelity. It breaks my heart, it saddens me, and I am just speechless. As humans we all make mistakes and are not perfect, we fall short, but with God everything is possible. I believe that Pastor Jeremy should take the time to do a apologetic video to the Hope City congregation family as we all deserve that. Stepping down as a pastor I don’t think he should have done that because yes that is admitting that he did wrong but also question how long has the affair been going on. We are not perfect, we are only human, but I strongly believe that Pastor Jeremy can overcome this with strength, peace and the support of his Hope City family. ❤️

This church draws you in will bubbly personality’s and great worship but once you are in it’s all down hill from there. After going to this church for two years I have never felt more disconnected. Even when trying to serve on their “dream” team not one person reaches out to me after multiple times of me contacting leaders in person. On top of all that the pastor does not even leads his own flock. After going there for a little over a year when I was going though trying times and need some serious spiritual guidence I tried multiple times to seek help from my pastor and was ignored every time. The pastor doesn’t concern himself with anyone once he is of that stage. When you walk out the church they are no longer concerned with you.

I’m never going to give a church a bad review. I know so many people who love this church. We really wanted Hope City to work for us but as many times as we tried, we were put off by so many things. Rap music blasting in the parking lot as a welcome Worship was just off putting ( my wife and I love worship but this was just not for us. Too thuggish for us). What finally did it for us was “Christmas as the Movies”. They play Unbreakable for the entire service. If someone really needed to be found on this day, they would not have found it at Hope City. We walked out in disgust 30 minutes into the so called serviced. We love Arch branded churches and will continue to search for something in Houston that fits the model.

  • Arpi Jones

I used to go to this church. Stopped going for a forgotten reason. Recently picked up the book The Power of Imagination by Neville Goddard and thought of the church. Then I found out that Pastor Jeremey who preached that he would never cheat on his wife and that the "one way to know if you're married to the right person is by looking at your marriage certificate." cheated on his wife... well. I get that people are flawed but I expected more from someone that told me that I married the right person when he was being abusive toward me. I've stood on my own and basked in the glory of the divine (not religious divine, just divine) for far too long to go back to a church and the hypocrites within it.

So i wasn’t raised in a church but tried to go to church a lot when i was an adult. Jeremy is HILARIOUS! He puts things that people in my age group (31) or really anyone can understand from a real life perspective and it’s helped me and encouraged me to KEEP coming back. I’ve found most other churches I’ve been to read straight from the book and that doesn’t help me much (it’s like someone speaking Russian to me). Every time i walk in i get emotional. It’s such a great community and just an awesome place to be! My 7 year old sat with me in the grown ups area today and he said “mom, this is so interesting, even for me being a kid.” It really made my heart so full! 10/10 would recommend!!

  • Cameron Rose

I was disappointed. As someone who was trying to give church another chance I think I was really let down by Jeremy. For 30 minutes he tried to monetize the word of god and good for y’all for doing so well at building your church but I don’t need the fake “I don’t like doing this” when asking for money but then asking for money for the first 30 minutes and then again after the guest speaker. I really enjoyed the guest speaker John, his mentor I believe and was probably the best 30 minutes of church of my life. Just to get dragged down afterwards and yeah I take it personally, this is where people go to take the faith. Agree with comments below they are building a crowd not a community.

  • Elyana Martinez

I love this church so much but I really desire to be apart of a community and I never had that here. I feel like the leaders of the church don’t like to connect with the people. They have their own secret / closed connect group where only they can join. I’ve tried joining connect groups several times but all times it was hard to get a response and if they did respond and I would join the group wouldn’t have anyone near my age and I really would love to find a group who are in the same walk as me and I just didn’t find that here. It’s disappointing how hard it is to connect with some Leaders they act like they are famous and can’t be seen with the “little people”

If you’re looking for a church with a good word and a phenomenal children’s program this is it. Pastor Jeremy is very funny and preach a good word that will help you change your life. If he’s not there he brings in the best of the best guest speakers so you’ll be just as excited to come even when he’s not there. The children’s program is a dream come true! You can tell they truly love the children and the curriculum is truly Jesus centered for all ages. If you have a 3-5 yr old Ms.Inez is a sweetheart and my baby absolutely loves her. This place will change your life with the excitement and pure love the people show. You won’t regret the visit ❤️

I watch the Hope City online and I love the inspiration Jeremy gives. A year or 2 ago I was living the way most sinners do, but my life didnt really change til Aug of this year. I kept having dreams about death and 1 verse: John 3:16. A week later my Aunt passed away and it all clicked together. God was telling me that no matter our pass sins he will continue to help me if i have hope/faith in him. So i remember the seeing Hope City on Youtube a couple times years ago and I have been watching Hope City ever since. I tune in everytime there live and more. I haven't join any groups yet, but i will today! I love you guys! God bless

  • Kayla Butler

Absolutely incredible place to find Christ again. I use to resent churches but they teach you the basic milestones to build relationships with Christ again. Truly deals with heart posture so true repentance is evidence and sincere choice to live for Him once again. If you been church hurt, come here, join a Freedoms group, and get deliverance for yourself. Truly, I feel God’w presence and I have not felt that love in long time in some church I been going to. Here, it truly is a hospital. Cry every-time. Hope God keep that way! Happy 8th anniversary Hope City. Love you guys. Sincerely, Repaired and recovered soul Kayla

I went to Katy location at Morton ranch high school. Because i was in texas to see my grandsons. I heard all week that they wanted me to go to church with them. We went for the nov 10 service. I am a disabled veteran and i appreciated the recognition , but my focus was on the service and i can say i was impressed. I am an elder at the Presbyterian church at home, which is a structured service. That being said. I am so glad my grandsons want to go to church, and that is the result of my daughter going once and now goes every week. Thank you and God bless MSgt Don Murphy ret.

My introduction to Pastor Jeremy was when he filled the pulpit at Elevation Church for Pastor Steven Furtick. What an incredible man of God. Yes, he’s funny, and very entertaining. But it was his knowledge and his heart for God that will keep me as a lifelong parishioner online God bless you Pastor Jeremy and your family, and to God be the glory. I sincerely hope I can one day drive from San Angelo Texas to Houston Texas so I can see you preach in person. In the meantime, I’ll make every effort to watch your services online. Thank you for preaching the whole truth.

Hope City is a friendly, welcoming, and warm place to meet a group of diverse people of all ages. If you are searching for a place to continue your committed service to Christ, don't hesitate to speak with a Church leader. There are plenty of opportunities to start your volunteer work with this non-profit organization (Church) or to continue your volunteer work. The sermons are great! The worship music is live, heart warming, fun, and interactive with the congregation. Bible study groups are available to you too! -alz➕❤♡

I LOVE Hope City!!! I feel like I've found my purpose here and love going every weekend and also serving God's house. Definitely very different from churches I previously belonged to but then again if I'm stagnat I don't grow and I love how HC allows growth in my life and in the lives of those around me! The At the Movies and Love, Sex, and Marriage series are great series to invite others to. Check it out, I promise you'll be blown away from the minute you walk in to days after you leave. Thank me later!

  • Anthony Thomas

After growing up and attending the Catholic Church my whole life, going to Hope City has completely revived my relationship with Jesus. Pastor Jeremy is a spirit filled, annointed and might man of God! He teaches the true teachings of the Biblein a fun and applicable way, not some sugar coated version tailored to our own comfort., and not a guilt trip labeling you as a sinner. All in all his soul mission is to motivate you to believe that you are saved and loved by Jesus.! Hope City has changed my life.

  • Vanessa Rojas

Pastor Jeremy is wonderful. I've been following him since the429 so I can't say anything bad about him and the way he delivers his message; but Hope City as a whole is a joke. They preach about coming together and changing the world but when you email them about connection groups or getting involved, no one replies. Most churches want people to interact and get plugged in. Here I am a year later and still no response. I emailed again 4 days ago and I'm still waiting. Hope City, please work on this.

  • Irene Diflavio

I've only attended Hope City one time and it was a blessing to receive a message of God's word. An even greater blessing is that my Son took my Grandson, after being away from church for 3-4 years, and they loved it. They now attend Hope City fairly regular. I thank the Lord and pray He continues to touch people's lives that so desperately need Him. The Lord still has me planted in New Life Church in Houston after 20+ years. Meantime, I'll keep Hope City Church in prayer❣️

  • Eddie V

Visited Hope City a couple of weeks ago and it immediately took me back to my clubbing days; entering a large dark and overcrowded room with loud music. No one bothered to ask me if I was visiting for the first time or not. That’s one of the many problems with huge churches, you can get lost in the crowd and no one will ever notice you. You’re just another face in the congregation. Another odd thing was their limited types of “connect groups” for being such a big church

  • Jairo Octavio Valle

Get there early because parking is crazy and it you go alone you're gonna end up next to a stranger you don't pick your seat. Some people are cool with sitting next to them some are awkward about it. Only bad experience I had was one of the lady's that seats you was grabbing my son's hoodie while he was trying to sit down because she was asking how many seats we need and it was super loud I didn't see it otherwise I would've told her something my son told me

  • M D

1st time visitor and the people are welcoming, praise and worship was AWESOME, and the congregation is very diverse which is a plus for me. I visited the Katy location and ended up walking out of service. Had I known the sermon was going to be viewed on the big screen I would've just stayed home and watched. This may work for some, but it doesn't for me. I'm not sure if it's like this every Sunday so inquire before visiting a satellite location.

  • Kennedi Kristen

The church seems great, but DO NOT work here! They will take months to pay you. I worked there in January of 2020 and still have not been paid...It took me forever to get ahold of my old manager that I had to end up emailing the church through their website... when I emailed the church after two times they finally answered and say my payment should be here by the 24th of JULY. I worked with them through Care.com and I would avoid if you can!

  • Elizabeth

When Jeremy foster was the pastor the church was very exclusive. I had tried far and hard to join a connect group I thought I could connect with and I was never allowed in. I remember trying tk get information on a group and they would tell me “maybe you should join another group” they seemed to only wa t “higher people” in their group. The church definitely seems to have struggled since he left and I don’t have any interest in going back

  • juliette eki

I love everything about the church, from the moment you walk in till you leave. Praise and worship is glorious although I wished it was a little longer. Pastor Jeremy is great as well as the other pastors that make their presence known throughout the year. It's welcoming now, at first when I came I didn't feel welcome and a bit judged by a greeter but I overlooked that one person and gave it another chance. So far so good!

  • Orlando Godoy

Amazing church! Love it! This is where I was saved 5 years ago. I’m grateful and honored to call Hope City my home church. If you’re looking for a new church, this is where you can feel welcomed and not judged. Multi generational and multi cultural. Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in and are greeted by the amazing dream team! Come enjoy a cup of coffee and a great word by Pastor Daniel and his wife Pastor Jacky.

Pastor Jeremy Foster is great. His message is always solid and complete. There is a lot of depth in what he delivers. His stage props are instrumental for those of us that require some help understanding all he has to say. Definitely worth checking out in person and online. There are some behind the scenes bits you don't get online that are funny and at times sincere. A+++ Love Gog Love People Change The World.

The most welcoming church I've been too . I had a bad experience when I was younger at church but when I came here it was so different in a good way !!! There is no judgement and you just feel the presence of God . I took my boyfriend and one of the reasons he likes Hope City he said is because he always gets a high five ! Soon I'll be doing growth track and finding my purpose ! I'm beyond excited!!

I've been attending Hope City since 2016. There is sound teaching of God's Word here, but more than that, we have a way to network and be THE CHURCH, by doing Connect Groups. It's closer than congregating all together for a service. It's more personal. You learn, have fellowship, and edify one another which strengthens Christ's Church. I think it's the way Christ intended for it to be anyway. Amen.

God is present! I would really like to thank Jeremy and Jennifer Foster for planting many seeds and watering them. May God continues to bless you and your family. Who cares what the chatty overly crazy people say. We know that we are human and you're not God. We can't expect that perfection from people. The Fosters are mighty stewards of God and will continue to be in a new capacity.

West Houston campus is always filled with joy and praise! Thank you Lord for finding my forever home at Hope City!! I fell in love with the community and the Leaders in this Church. Pastor Daniel and Jackie bring their ALL every time I show up! Thank you Lord! THIS IS MY FAMILY! THIS CHURCH CAN BE YOUR HOME! COME ON OVER AND RECIEVE THE BLESSINGS THE LORD HAS TO OFFER!

  • Sabrina Hergert

Authentic Bible preaching by Pastor Jeremy Foster challenges and uplifts. I appreciate his honesty and terrific sense of humor. The music is phenomenal and sticks with me all week. Every person on the team makes me feel welcome and wanted. It is a wonderful church that is vibrant and alive. I encourage everyone to give it a try -- believer or not. It's real life.

  • R Montemayor

i absolutely love this church. It's so diverse and motivational. He is not just a motivational speaker he teaches the word and does the baptisms and communion. He makes sure he gets us right. I love how he doesn't put up the facade that we all have to be perfect to go to church. God's favor is all over this church. You want to feel the holy spirit, come here!!!

It was my first time attending Hope City Memorial location last Sunday and what a warm welcome!! I was so lucky to meet a kind parishioner named Chuck who made a point to introduce me to Pastors Daniel & Jackie who prayed over me to release my anxiety of showing up after 4yrs of being in the dark. Thank you Hope City for lifting me up! See you next Sunday!

Horrible experience with the parking and shuttle, we got there in time but still managed to get to the church doors 30 minutes later because of the parking/transportation dilemma. By the time we got to the church, they didn’t have inside capacity and were sitting people outside in the courtyard to listen to the message. We left instead, very disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE Hope City!!! The diversity and people that truly have a heart for God and for people continually amaze me. Everyone that I invite, from children to adults, all leave feeling inspired and desire to come back again and again! The church isn't growing as fast as it is for no reason! God is doing something fantastic and amazing here....

My family was in and out of church for years and never felt like any church was a good "fit" for us until we found Hope City. This church has changed my life and brought my sister, mother, and I closer together while strengthening my relationship with God. Thank you for everything you're doing, Hope City, and thank you for welcoming us in!

  • Roger V.

We love this church so much because of our pastor Jeremy and his family. One thing we love about Jeremy is that we can all relate to his experiences. His teachings have tough us so much these couple of years too. If you're not part of the family its definitely time to connect yourself and come join the fun!

  • Rudolph “The World Inspector”

I think it’s worth some additional insight be weary of celebrity pastors who are actively raising money to build better and bigger buildings. There is nothing wrong with raising money, but if it’s being spearheaded by a celebrity pastor then beware. I seen it multiple times already and ends badly.

  • daisy flores

Very diverse and welcoming! People are all about loving one another as God intended. I love Pastor Jeremy and the messages he shares with us. My entire family enjoys it. It's because of this church that my family has a different outlook of the church (and consequently God). I am forever grateful.

  • Studio 215

Great church with tons of remote locations for everyone around Houston. They have tons of different connect groups and volunteer options to choose from. My only criticism is they dont use the KJV bible often, but they do provide a very judge free atmosphere to make everyone feel comfortable!

  • Alex

Not for everyone. My personal feeling is that this more of a personality church. It all goes up or down with the pastor. Its cool if you're into that. I had to change churches because I wanted to get deeper in the word and want the word preached to me. everything else is just an add on.

  • shawnrena

I absolutely love your church! My kids enjoy it as well, it is just so far from where we live. We watch via FB but we hope that you guys will branch off to the Southeast side? Friendswood, Pearland, Webster, Clear Lake area?? We need a refreshing word to spread like fire in this region.

  • Andrew Shannon

This is the best church I've ever been to! The pastors arent afraid to show their humanity in order to help the congregation heal & grow. The people are very friendly, & the music is uplifting & enjoyable. I highly recommend this church! This is not just an organization, it is a family.

  • Mari Lopez

I've found my church!, I can't wait for Sunday to come I'll be there 11:15 sharp. Jeremy is awesome, I felt welcoming and my children loved it. So wonderful to feel a life changing experience today, I'm bless to attend today's service and many more to come. Thank you Lord, I'm so bless!

  • Steph

Great atmosphere, beautiful church, and Pastor Daniel is great! There are a lot of young adults at the 11am service so I just wish the praise and worship team could be more diverse in their song selection. Some suggestions would be, Hill song,Marvin sapp, Jonathon Traylor etc.

  • Billy Watt

Have watched 3-5 sermons but the pastor seems to say Oh my god I think he has used gods name in vane in every sermon it’s very obvious that he does listen carefully to him and his words . Something about his preaching you need to have open ears and discern what he says

  • Leneal Thomas

Great church been going since 2015 it has changed my life it still feels like a small body church even though we have grown. It’s been a privilege to grow with so believers and if you are looking for a home church don’t look any further we welcome come as you are.

  • Janet Anai

I was raised being a catholic but I never felt like I fit in, until I came to hope city bc a friend invited me. I’ve never felt so welcomed and so touched. From the very first time I came, I cried bc I just felt in the right place. I really love it here!

  • Nana Ankamah

Moved to Houston in July of 2016 and been a member here ever since. Finding this Church would be the one reason I would never want to leave Houston. No matter where you are in your walk with Christ you are welcomed here with open arms. Love this Church!

  • Cody Baird

Word centered church. HIGH energy, too high for some, but wonderful. Sit in the back of you aren't a teen but SOAK IT UP cause it's wonderful. I've never been compelled to change like here. With love and word centered love I am grown! Praise the LORD!

  • Jorge Cardenas

We are overwhelmed by the love and generosity of this ministry. May the Lord continue to bless the Fosters and their amazing team. We are still trying to process the immense gift we received to help us recover from Harvey. This is an amazing ministry.

  • Hank Amsa

WONDERFUL church. Great praise & worship and a good message. After the service wad dismissed about 80% of the people left. About 120 stayed and we praised for about an extra hour. Words of knowledge and wisdom followed. AWESOME …

  • antonio medina

There was a comment once made by the skinny guy that opens up for Jeremy foster that really open my eyes up “look around you this just a preview of the what heaven looks like” . I love the diversity and how Jeremy gives credit to the lord first.

  • shana oneal

I love the people who serve there, they make it a great experience. And I love the pastors, Pastors Daniel & Jackie Groves! They have such a great heart for people and a passion for teaching the Word of God. I’d definitely recommend visiting.

My wife and I fell in love with this church the first time we came! The people there were so loving, full of life and welcoming. It's very diverse and so much going on. We can't wait to join and start "changing the world"!

  • Aaron Gilbert

The church is big, the music is loud, but the sermon is REAL. Jeremy Foster is relatable, he cracks jokes, but knows when to be vulnerable. He speaks from the heart and from the gospel. I highly suggest this church.

  • Rory Holmes

I'm not really into big churches, but I really enjoyed my time here. The music was great and the message was decent. (I came when there was a guest pastor) maybe I'll visit again when the home pastor is speaking.

  • Stephanie Marchena

It was an on broadcast on projector experience. It felt like a Ted talk. There was a fantastic live band. There are people who guide you towards your seat. They sell items here. Didn't really feel like a church.

  • Ikechi Ukazu

The Saturday night service is the best place to be. Shoutout to Pastors Daniel and Jackie Groves. They have been faithful with their calling. The worship on Saturday nights is next level. You won’t wanna miss it

Been going to this church for about 3 weeks now and I like it. It's not too big, but it's not small either. People are really nice and friendly. You definitely can feel the holy spirit move in there

  • Ame Vas

AMAZING, LIFE CHANGING! As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed and loved, just as Anyone should feel walking into a church. I live over an hour away from Hope City but it is worth the drive.

I love this church! It has helped me grow in my walk with Jesus! The people are so kind and Pastor Jeremy is very blessed. My family followed him from Grace Church of Humble.

  • Valencia Joi White

Very warm and welcoming. My 1st time so navigating was more like "follow the leader" but there were plenty of people with badges on to ask. Message by guest pastor was great!

  • E Faith

Wow - very impressed with Pastor Geremy's approach on preaching! He is real, down to earth, and very much relates to the younger generation. I love going on Saturday nights!
