We've eaten in for a couple of family occasions, but are regulars here for take away. Food is good and they have good gluten free options. I am not coeliac (I am wheat gluten intolerant, with a small degree of tolerance), but have heard from coeliacs that this place is good. Just make sure you let them know you need gluten free. My favourites here: - Panang curry - Chicken with lemongrass - Yellow lamb curry That yellow curry is absolutely to die for. It can be hard to get through on the phone some times and they don't always have someone available for delivery. You can try leaving a message on the phone or just call again a few minutes later, or just drop in. The food doesn't take long to cook. It's worth the wait.

I placed an order at 5:30pm for a delivery promised for 7:00pm. When it hadn’t arrived by 7:15pm I rang and was advised it was on its way with the delivery driver. At 7:55pm the order still hadn’t arrived so I rang again... after a discussion I was advised to the front of house would check with the kitchen... I then overheard a conversation and heard that the order hadn’t been started and it would be 15 minutes; the girl was then told to tell me that it’d be 5 minutes and the driver had left. When the girl came back to me I told her I’d overheard everything and to cancel the order. I then had to endure the indignity of going to the restaurant to get my order refunded. Hot Chilli of Croydon has lost my custom forever. Recommend strongly that you consider not ordering home delivery... their apology was insincere also! Spoilt a family Birthday dinner. 5:30 till 8:00pm and lied to, NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

Ordered a home delivery, was told that it would take 35 mins. After an hour I rang the restaurant to be told the delivery guy was waiting for a customer who was not home. After another 15 minutes of waiting for dinner to arrive, the delivery guy came to our door with a really bad attitude. and really rude. There were no cans of coke, only 1 prawn salad when 2 had been ordered and it was freezing cold. The delivery guy took my money, I ran after him and asked him where the rest of the order was? he said he did not know. I asked him for some of my money back and he was reluctant to give it back. I rang the restaurant to complain and they said they could help me out tomorrow night with food. But that was not going to help my problem tonight of feeding my husband and child. It's such a shame, that the service was so bad.

Ordered take away from this place multiple times and only once have they made a mistake, where they accidentally swapped orders. They called me and offered to deliver the correct order; since I was still driving home I just turned around and picked it up. They let me keep my incorrect order, so that night we had double the food; leftovers! So I can't fault them for customer service on that one. Every other time the food has been nice, not as great as other Thai I've had but definitely on the better end of local thai restaurants. Staff have always been pleasant even when the place is full, though I've never eaten in so can't speak to table service. Place does get crowded some nights which I think speaks to how good they are.

Read a few reviews and decided to take the risk, as there were many happy, and also a few not so happy...I am now one of the happy reviews. I ordered a lot. Veg curry puffs-yum Beef masaman-yum Nasi Goran rice-yum Roti bread with sauce-yum A noodle dish, can’t remember the name(street food) and you guessed it-YUM Oh and because I didn’t want to make lunch I ordered two soups, not yum, delicious I believe we have finally found our Thai restaurant Servings a generous size, they said 15 min and it was, and there was a constant stream of pick ups. Very pleased with the overall decision to try it out Will be back soon

The food is alright, not that great. Not very consistent as it tastes good one time and bad the next time. Moreover the people at the counter are not friendly. They seem to show discrimination with customers. I remember the lady in front of me was given a proper takeaway bag and I was offered nothing. They asked me to take it in hand with the food being soo hot. Then I had to ask and they made a big fuss but eventually I got a cover to take the food home. There was a big stone in the fried rice which they reacted very casually when I immediately told them over the phone. So am very unhappy with their service.

Although the food is sometimes good, this is the second major screw up in 4 orders, last time the vegetable dish came with beef the whole way through it. This time the noodle dish came without noodles....called Fui at the restaurant and she was completely unsympathetic and stated she couldn't do much such as organize free delivery of the correct meal because there was no one in charge tonight. I asked who the manager was and she said they were away for a month but could contact me when they're back......avoid if you want the meal you order and any kind of service.

To begin with, I just want to say the food is UNBELIEVABLY incredible and always is. My only complaint is every time we ring and order for delivery the person answering the phone is completely incompetent and cannot understand simple words and numbers and asks for us to repeat ourselves minimum of 5 times for simple things and it’s incredibly annoying repeating credit card numbers and them yelling it back down the phone for the whole restaurant to hear on their end which is completely unprofessional.

Sooooo annoying! Twice now they have delivered the wrong order. I ordered on menulog, waited for 50mins then got the wrong order and not only that, but they also forgot the side of chilli and they put the sauce container in upside down! It went everywhere and made everything sticky and an absolute mess. I called and asked that they redeliver the right order. Its been 30 mins and still nothing. You guys used to be the most reliable and yummy thai around but you have gone downhill fast! Such a shame!

Extremely disappointed at the delivery time. We ordered food via Menulog at 6pm and we got a text saying the food would deliver at 7:30pm so we waited until then and the food still hasn’t arrived. We gave the restaurant a call but they said they are very busy and the food would be ready in 20min. We live 10min away from the restaurant and it has taken us nearly two hours to get our small takeaways! We should have just eaten there instead!! I wouldn’t recommend takeaway from them!

The food is nice here, but it's not traditional Thai. The salads had sweet chili sauce and were more sweet than traditionally spicy. I'd class this as westernised Thai, which I'm sure will suit many palates but wasn't for us. The pad thai and nasi goreng we're nice. We had a new waitress when we went who struggled a little but did ok (we had to ask for our roti at the end as it never came)

Seriously good Thai food and service. I had a pickup order but when I got there someone else with the same name accepted it without checking. The staff asked the kitchen to make another batch asap and I was barley delayed. Great service.

Best Thai I have have had since being back in Aussie, Great, friendly staff all add to the flavour of the great food they have< They make you feel so welcome when you come into the Resto. We have ordered food takeaway food from this restaurant four times. The first meal, which was Massaman Curry, was delicious. The other meals have been rather ordinary. These include Pad Thai, Singapore Noodles and Pad Mee Goreng. We’ve found that the noodle dishes lack something and are bulked up with noodles and not much else.

Wonderful Thai food!! The green curry is amazing!! The prawns were fresh and wonderful. The delivery driver was awesome. Our food came in a timely way, the gentleman delivering was curtious and pleasant. We have ordered here in the past, and have tried several other delivery Thai restaurants; hands down, this is the best!!!

Really nice food and great customer service. Menulog had mistakenly delivered our food to the wrong address and Hot Chilli Thai sent out another order completely free of charge and even included free prawn crackers. Very kind of them as the mistake wasn't theirs and they didn't need to do anything.

First time here and it was fantastic. I generally don't eat Thai (hate coriander and chilli) but there was a good choice without these ingredients. Had the Tangy and Sweet Crispy Fish with rice and the flavours were wonderful. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely recommend.

I ordered on a Menulog and when my husband went to collect order they said there was no order. We send them a Copy of confirmation and receipt, then told us there would be a 45min wait. We only waited because we have already paid via menulog. The food was ok probably wouldn’t go back

I find Hot Chilli is a great place to get take away on my way home from work. It is super fresh and tasty, and when i order ahead it is always waiting at the time i have given. Thanks for your delicious food

Disappointed- Entrees dry and tasteless. The flavour of mains was nice, the meat was chewy like leather and felt like we had been given reheated meals . Lucky we had good company and wine to laugh it off.

Ordered Tom yum (seafood), Pad thai (beef), and Pineapple fried rice (pork) for dinner. Total 43.50 AUD. The serving size was okay. The service was very quick. However the taste was very bland, comparable to ready-made sauce that you can use to cook at home.

Told takeaway would be ready in 15 minutes. Still waiting an hour later. Checked and they said another 5 minutes - that was 15 minutes ago. Never ended up getting the food.

Some of the best Thai food I've eaten in the eastern suburbs! The massaman, green curry, chicken and cashew nut. Rich flavours that have spice, none of this watered down boring flavour to suit other peoples boring taste like a lot of these places do.

Awful tasteless food. Basil stir fry had no basil. Chicken dry, hard and old. Rang to convey my disappointment and told to have a good night. I live 300 metres away and was hoping to visit regularly. No way. And will warn the locals too. Stay away!

don't eat here, grilled pork is $24 but it's taste like $8, tom yam soup $12 but it's like $3, Thai restaurant but they don't have big bowl tom yam soup, spend more than $200+ but feels like spending $50, the price and the taste are not match,

I've been coming here for years (both dine in and takeaway), and in my opinion, Hot Chilli is the best Thai food around. Fresh, delicious and made hot or mild to suit your taste, the friendly staff keep us coming back too. A big thumbs up!

Food is still very good, but the wait time has increased recently. They used to be quicker from what we are told on the phone to the actual time but now it's the other way and they don't give out prawn crackers anymore, which are missed!

I always collect from here. I've never had a complaint about the food or the service. A local favourite. The restaurant can be a little noisy as it's popular and not a huge space. Plenty of room though if eating in.

Pathetic customer service. The customer service lady rolled the eyes when i asked it wasn’t a take away but dine in instead. She was not polite. Can never visit the restaurant again with such poor service.

New lunch menu Fri and Sat - Thai street food. Great menu and delicious. Genuine food. A little on the hot'n'spicy side, but there are some milder dishes available too.
