Earlier this month, I bought something from them before I had to go to work nearby and it was just couple makeup products. The sale lady with black hair dye in red of an ombré effect, told me they going to have this promotion going on and ask if I'm interested. At first, I was like sure fine whatever and I swear she told me that she will call me on the following week Wednesday and I'm going to pick it up on Friday. When I went back to the store on that Friday after not hearing back from them, they were like "no it's actually the next following week that I will call you and you pick it up." I left the store with confused look after she show me their promotion card that the promotion won't start until March 15 for the first time cause I swear she didn't show me the card when I came in the store the week before. The next following week, I still haven't heard anything from them but when I came back to the store again, that sale lady recognized me cause I know she gave me this look. She was telling another sale lady is about to go break just like she did last time I was in the store again and I honestly don't think it's no coincidence when it's happening twice on you. When she saw me before she told the other sale lady she is about to go on break, she was like "Are you Jenny? No, I'm sorry what's your name again?" Even thou I was about to say no, I'm not Jenny. She walk over the counter telling me the call didn't go through but I keep repeatedly tell her I didn't get any call from them and at this point, I was ready to fight/argue with her. She open up this binder to find my piece of paper to show proof I bought their products as their own copy and as she looking through, she was like your paper isn't there until it was like 1/3 of the paper in the beginning of the binder which she just only open up the binder more toward the end if you know what I mean. After she found my paper, she said she had to go to the back room to get my makeup and when she came back with my makeup, she drop it off the counter in front of me. I ask if I can see all the makeup is in the bag, she ask the other sale lady to show me for her as she is ready to run back for her break. The other sale lady didn't gave me the most pleasant experience either cause when she show me, it was more like "you got this and that and this too and that too. Yeah okay?!" She didn't even slowly show me the whole makeup products is in their case cause it was like 5 second if everything is inside. I ask about their return policy just in case if something went wrong but she like "but why would you want to return it if you are going to be happy about it? -laugh-" After what happen, I don't want come back to this location since I don't shop at The Hudson Bay Company often but when I do, I know I don't felt like I'm mistreated just base on the age gap between my age vs their regular customers who are like moms who already had children or retired grandmas.

So disappointed about the untidy disorganized racks and the lack of service. I remember when the Bay had advisors and helpers re clothes choices. Well it’s now available only for the highest end dresses thought the busy sales ladies in the changing rooms try to be helpful. Unfortunately there are just not enough staff. But I like to touch and feel the fabric and see how it hangs on me and not on a model. Oh well the ‘good old days’ are taken over by on line shoppers. Another issue: almost too many choices but not enough sizes in all styles and the clothes are all over the place and disorganized and messy looking racks. . I was looking for pyjamas in a simple style. Say a solid colour. I found one at 90$ for the top. But couldn’t even find the matching bottoms in my size. And what kind of a price is that sleepwear. . Yes. It was nice but I wouldn’t want to spend nearly 200 for sleepwear. There were less expensive ones but mostly unmatched pieces. I will still shop here to get ideas then if i can’t get the pieces in the right size I guess I will have to go on line and buy them there.

Used the east door to enter. I was picking up an online order, no signage at the entrance. After walking 50 feet, a large sign indicating Online Orders with an arrow pointing left. I went left, no other signs. I saw a Service Counter close to the original sign. I assumed, this was the counter to pickup. I waited 5 to 10 minutes to be served. The clerk told me go to jewelry counter. When I got to jewelry, the end of the counter was beside the original sign. The customer would have to guess, that jewelry is the pickup point, no signage at jewelry to show that is the department to pickup online orders. Again, I had to wait, jewelry was serving customers. Now it was 20 minutes later. Finally, I decided to interrupt the clerk and customer to ask where do I pickup an online order. The clerk confirmed she is the one to help. She took my order number and name. About 3 to 5 minutes later, a person gave me my order, after confirming my phone email. I explained to this person, the signage and pickup process is awful, and I would not pickup again at that store. Very disappointed.

Terrible customer service and organization. We saw a couch we liked so we told the guy to order it for us. The shipping costs us over 200$ but they said they would deliver it within two weeks so we were okay with it. Not only has it been over a month but they called us one day and said they were 20 minutes away and never showed up. They wasted our whole day because we were waiting for them and who even lies about when they will arrive. Everytime we call they give US attitude like we’re inconveniencing them. We spoke with some ladies who were outright rude to us and were straight up telling us to cancel the order. And that’s only the least of what they’ve done. They’re also refusing to talk to us now and keep on telling us to hold and then never get back to us. Never ordering anything from this store again it’s not worth the stress and having to talk to all these people who think doing their job is an inconvenience.

Prices are too high. I went with my mother, who had been given the wrong size sweater by the sales woman, who mixed up the two she tried on. So Mom bought the right size, because the woman said she would allow her then the return the wrong sized one, when she came back. She went back with that one to return the following week and the sales woman said she didn't remember having said my mom could return it, though she even wrote her name on the receipt for my mom, in case she wasn't there when my mom went back. She told her it wasn't returnable. It was her error when my mom bought the sweater and she put the wrong one in the bag for my mom. She kept my mom there over an hour arguing with her that she never said she could return the other sweater. My mom, 82, was very upset by the interaction and behaviour of this sales woman. We won't be back.

No staff around, ever - extremely understaffed, 24/7 (I work in the mall and so I have tried going at all different times of the day). The customer service speed is as slow as molasses. Half of the time I go, I have to drop my items and leave the cash lineup, because I simply cannot stand in line waiting any longer (and I frequently witness others doing so as well). One cash open, 1-2 cashiers, always. In the whole store. Staff are not properly trained in speed of service and efficiency. One cashier will have 5 people in line and will still spend forever going back and forth with one customer over whether or not they’re willing to accept their return. I’m not an impatient person, but this place tests my limits very time. Its not the 1980’s. People have places to be.

Hudson's Bay has been around and I enjoy looking for items I would not find in the smaller stores, such as perfumes, and cosmetics, but one thing Hudson Bay did not have are slips that go under our dresses. I wear long dresses that can be tad bit see through and I am having to wear leggins (very hot for summer) so my undergarment cannot be seen because I cannot find a slip to put under my dress. Please Hudson Bay.....I do not believe I am the only woman who is in need of a slip to put under my dress, please return some merchandise you did sell in the past, such as undergarment slips (ankle length and knee length) colors white, beige and black for that non see through look when the sun is hitting our dress.

I find the staff here very pleasant and friendly. They are good at customer service. The merchandise selection is what befits a department store. Good selection of quality products. I was at the cookware section and was very impressed by the variety of high quality cookware available. Might return to get some pots and pans. Edited Sep 1: So I joined the Bay's text message promo (found on their site) and got a text with a discount code for $10 off a $50 purchase in store. Went to this store, houseware cookware section, at about 11:30 am. The clerk refused to accept it, saying the Bay does not do this This is not from the Bay. Treated me like I was trying to cheat them. Well, guess what, the hell with this.

The quality of the items in the store is top-knotch, but be prepared to pay top-dollar for them. Many items are not tagged so sometimes you have to guess what the actual price is, or go to a register to find out. The store is currently undergoing renovation so it's a bit confusing. I don't hold that against them. Some sections are very under-staffed (we found one poor gal manning the entire large, sprawling, men's apparel section alone). It's a nice shop to find wedding presents, if you're in the market for housewares or bedding/towels. However if you're on a budget it might not be the best for basic clothing items. I gave it 3 out of 5 because it's priced a bit out of most people's range.

Horrible customer service. I ordered white Puma shoes from here online approximately 10 days ago and I received them too small despite the correct size. After 1 week of trying them, I decided to return them back at St. Laurent mall because my pinky toe was blistering. The cashier said that the shoes were damaged when I went to return them and would not issue me a refund and then proceeded to run away and say that he needed to help another customer. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the shoes, they are completely brand new! And I was able to return them for a full refund at Rideau Centre. Avoid this piece of trash store and fire the incompetent employees.

  • Shannon Cochrane

Everything there is overhyped and overpriced. A return of an item purchased from their website was a huge hassle where I was first told that they could only refund $9 of a $90 purchase unless I had purchased it using an HBC mastercard. Eventually after being redirected to the web pickup area, someone was able to help refund the item the (minus shipping which I understand). Their systems and customer service processes need to be updated to be more customer friendly. Update 4 years later: Customer service finally replies 4 YEARS later. It really shows you how little they care about their customers. Why bother to reply at all? What a joke of a company.

  • Ryan Gerrard

This is a terrible Hudson's Bay. They gave us a hard time trying to return an item that was ordered by mail. They would only give us store credit because there was a 30 day return policy and we were on day 31... Rules are rules I understand but during Covid everyone else as extended the return policy and it was 1 day. Return issue aside the inside of the store is very very dirty. The ceiling tiles around the vents and the walls are caked in dust. Burnt out light bulbs everywhere, missing ceiling tiles, cracked floor tiles. The whole store felt run down. I would highly recommend no one shop here because it is just a massive dump. NEGATIVE 5 STARS

Bought a sofa (not a cheap one) from the Bay st.laurent location, a month in, one of the cushions gave out so the seat was depressed beyond normal levels. Called and had it picked up for refund. Was told the refund would arrive within 5-10 business days. It's been over 2 months and I've received $0. Phone customer service keeps telling me that they've processed it and aren't sure when I'll get it. How are you not sure when you're the one responsible for it? This is ridiculous, I'm never buying furniture from the Bay ever again and hope nobody else does! 0 out of 5 stars

I have found myself visiting this Bay more and more recently, specifically for the watch repair desk. - these folks seem to have the most accessible hours for me to actually get my needs addressed. - great, often while you wait service, seems that none is waiting too long, regardless of how many people come through while you're getting your things looked at. In an age where watchmakers are becoming more and more finicky with hours and accessibility, it's nice to see that there are some people still willing to keep their doors open/hours accommodating.

I met a rude sales woman (with indian look) today at fragrance and ask her for 2 perfume to buy it and I gave her the name already, after that I asked her for a samples or gift and she told my husband he is un polite suddenly because we asked her for it!!!!!!!! she is supeeeeeeerrrrrr rude and super unprofessional with customer and have no skills as a customer service. She also added that she was working for 13 years and she is not even dressed her uniform during work. Very bad experience.

  • Sue Dezell

Nice department store. Some items that were marked as on sale, didn't ring in the Cash Register as a SALE !!! Watch your sale items and make sure you received the actual sale price. Lots of beautiful Christmas Gift ideas for everyone on your Christmas list. Jewellery is well displayed. Large mens and womens wear. Kitchen and dining room table ideas are very well displayed upstairs. Lots of Free parking close to the entrance. Friendly staff and nice selection of Luggage upstairs.

  • Rea

Shopped twice at this Bay location in the past week to buy bedding and towels. The sales staff in this department are very disappointing. Huddled around the cash just chatting with one another and never asking to help customers or when asked seemed very disinterested. Had the same experience in the under garments section. I had known the Bay to have great customer service but sadly this has changed dramatically. Will avoid shopping here in the future.

  • Yewen Tan

The Bay is trying hard to stay relevant in this fast changing world. I appreciate the efforts they're making bit I'm not optimistic. Still, their efforts do bring some improvements. The staff is friendly, the prices are attractive. You can score some decent bargains. For similar items, the prices are usually lower in stores than online. Overall, it's worth a trip if you're looking for everyday things.

  • lucie lavigne

I really adore The Hudson's Bay it's a FANTASTIC store but because it's a family friendly place I find the place to be a bit pricey. The clothes used to be a bit more fashionable to my taste and what they have , well like I say it's not cheap in price. Your a great store , Sears is gone why don't you lower your prices please...get in to it for your customers. Thank you!

  • Teresa Gagnon

Love shopping at the Bay, always find some great deals on quality clothing etc. However, when I arrived home I found that the security tag was still on my purchase? Salea Associated clearly forgot to remove it. And no the alarm didn't sound off when leaving store., I wish it had because now I have to go all the way back to have it removed. Frustrating to say the least.

  • David Szymanski

The Bay has been going downhill in general, but the state of this location is just unacceptable. Most of the menswear department was recently cleared out to make way for the Zellers relaunch. This location no longer sells any Polo Ralph Lauren products which was the only half decent brand they had left. They have also gotten stingy with fragrance samples recently.

  • Enrique Blondel

Horrible experience, I made a purchase 9 days ago, the items were supposed to be delivered yesterday, today I learned from the shipping company that one item was delivered to the wrong address, the other one is missing, how can this store be trusted, not for me anymore, customer service is worthless they don't provide any help at all.

  • LJG SEC (LT.)

A very unsuccessful shopping visit. The store is ALWAYS untidy and messy. I was offered no help by any associate who were too busy chatting with each other and texting. Would have been more beneficial if they tied the clothes for presentation. Is the store close to bankruptcy?? It is outdated and could do with a facelift..

  • Tanya Belleau

Love the store ! I go as often as I can , to encourage our very own Canadian store. Theyve got great deals , and love the home decor. They also carry Canadian Olympics clothing , and other Canadian logo items , so a great spot for souvenirs shopping. Love the Hudson Bay colours and their stripes too.

  • James Wazen

You have to give it to the bay for sticking around during this retail crisis. As for this location the staff at the fragrance and makeup counters are always good. As for the rest of the staff when you can find them...they are good. Parking at this location is free and convenient.

  • Bob Kidman

Last of the big Canadian department stores. They're trying hard to hold on and remain relevant but it's looking dated and the crowds of shoppers have disappeared. Sadly, it's no longer a destination. They sell good merchandise but it's difficult to get excited shopping there.

  • Sandra D Halpenny

Hudson Bay has great merchandise. It is so nice to be able to try on before buying. The only drawback is that it is hard to find service to help with your purchase. For a high end store I think there should some associates on the floor. It is not bargain basement shopping.

  • Connie Lapierre

Great store when you want everything from: jewelry, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, clothing, shoes, makeup, perfume and everything in between. Fantastic go to store that enables me to do all of my shopping in one store! Great service and very clean, and friendly staff!

  • Patty Johnston

Went to the bay to buy jeans. The ladies that work near the fitting room were super nice. A special shout out to Saliha at the check out she was super helpful she even got me to sign up for a credit card. It came with discounts. Wonderful experience. I will be back.

  • Anwar El Masri

Very big shop you will find all the Original brands you are looking for starting from shoes clothes (Levi's, Guess, Lee for Men, childs and women also sportswear clothes Adidas, Nike, Puma). Prices is reasonable and cheaper compared to other shops in the same Mall.

  • Emma

This store is nothing special, online it’s says they close at 8:00pm. So we went in at 6:50 and we were kicked out at 7:10 because apparently they close at 7:00pm. The employees were very rude and the store was extremely dirty! Personally do not recommend.

  • Sarah

Terrible customer service. Rude and in a rush to close the store at closing, not even allowing customers to leave through the mall. They lock the doors at 7pm sharp anf force you to go out from outside in the cold. Poor management of facilities.

  • Samir Ansar

I've bought some nice Ralph Lauren clothing from this location. Not all Hudson Bay have Polo. This one had a nice selection. You can get better at the outlet, but the Bay has sales once in a while. Nice selection of ties, shirts, and slacks

I went there to get a Chanel product for my fiance and the person assisting me had no idea about the Chanel products. She was probably some other brand's representative. If they had told me that there is no one competent enough to help me

Terrible store. We bought a couch and they were supposed to deliver it after 2 weeks but no one showed up. We called them and they said we will have to wait for another 2 weeks and then that day they went to the wrong address and didn't

Normally I have a good experience while shopping here but I'm not sure I will be shopping here again after what your cashier did.(21/4/2018 at around 6:30-7:00). I believe her name was Marina (in the bra section) who when she seen my

I love The Bay. They usually have good deals on some really nice clothes. I tend to visit the one in St. Laurent center more often. The store is ok although way overcrowded with items. My biggest issue is the staff or rather the lack

  • LifeIs MostlyRelationships

This location has very bad customer service, by far much worse than any other big store, very slow and staff don't seem to know what they're doing. Another staff was present but instead of helping, he was staring at us creepily.

  • Aimee Stoodley

New Zellers is in the Hudson Bay! Great items with lots of options. Fair prices as well. Hard to find anyone to work there or to find someone so you can pay as they have 0 self checkouts but also no one working tills

  • Shauna Martin

Waste of time. The Zellers was barely a kiosk. Completely disappointed. The Bay is crazy overpriced. No one bothers to help or answer questions and it is hard to find a check out if you can afford to buy something.

  • Ayat Tadjalli

Great variety of products. The sales agent, Pegah, was very professional with excellent customer service. She helped us to choose the right winter jacket and to know more about the promotion and payment options.

  • Mary McEwen

Wonderful! Just needed my watch battery replaced. Need a special tool to do it, so I have to go to a jeweler. He was great, friendly, fast. Highly recommend him... sorry I don't know your name.

  • Diane G Lanctot

The clerk gave me a good price on a bundle I got for Father's Day. There was also a big sale on women's clothes and accessories. The store is well managed during this Covid. Enjoy …

  • Stefan Pinto

I suggest not to buy clearance items that are final sale, unless you intend to keep them. All final sale clothes cannot be returned. Plus the prices seem like there is no logic to them.

  • Soey Lamothe

Well organized and displayed products Especially in all kitchen products from dishes to small appliances and linen department. The only think missing is help with staff in the isles.

  • Steven Henderson

They have awesome deals and I love going to this location for my sons clothes. They offer great deals and I can always walk away spending 200 and what I have is over 400 to 500

  • Tara Tapp

It's very difficult to find a staff member to help. I had to go all the way to the other end of the store to find a cash with someone working at it. The prices are high.

  • Jacob Wernicke

Very typical department store. Not much to complain about, but nothing special either. We were there looking for a belt for our kid and they only had dressier options.

  • M M

The bay should close. The mark up is way over 500%, this why the company is not doing good at all. People are using the online shopping, way cheaper and free delivery.

  • Lily RoseBloom

Very small hudsons bay. Went to look for boots but they had very little selection which surprised me. Only 1 floor and mostly cosmetics and perfumes and some clothes.

  • Darryl Damude

You can almost always find something at the bay. Not on this trip. I don't know if the supply chain still needs to catch up but I found nothing. Not even a sale rack.

  • Deborah Rodney

The Hudson Bay great quality staff that are always willing to help, they have fantastic sales on designer brands. Never a disappointment at the Hudson Bay

  • Kim Fowler

Sales assistant was wonderful! I think her name was Forum (I'm not sure if I spelt that right?). Very helpful and informative, lovely shopping experience

  • Garth Cote

Disappointed that there's nothing that I really wanted even in the clearance area. Not a great variety and the Zellers upstairs wasn't impressive

  • Al Conway

I'm impressed that customer service replied, although it's a long time after, I still think it's respectful. I have raised my rating accordingly

  • zeina mawla

Excellent excellent customer service especially Lucas and a lots honestly I forget the name but they have excellent customer and where is

  • Anne Simon

This is a department store in the St-Laurent Shopping Centre or at Place d'Orléans. They offer lots of clothing for the whole family.

  • Steve Grant

Sad. Understocked. And replying to my review one year after reinforces my perception that you don't care. Now slightly better.

  • Hal Le

Iconic brand. The store offers a good variety of quality offerings. I like it not for the prices but for the selection.

  • Ali Assaf

Mei is the best. She is always smiling, happy to help you, answer all the questions. Thank you Mei for your help today.

  • Ashley Dubois

Deals aren't as hood as they used to be but my mom loves it! Lots of athliesure clothing and also business casual

  • Hrsh Sngh

It's nice but not the same what I have seen 20 plus years ago. Online shopping has definitely dented the sales

  • Christian Montpetit

Great variety and selection of products... quite pricey...but with sale prices well worth it for the quality

  • Sue Bussiere

The store has changed since the last 2 years, Less employees to help you ,the clothes not the same quality,
