One star review even though the food has been nice and been going here for about a year with no issues, there’s been two instances where I have felt uncomfortable and the interactions were totally unnecessary and unacceptable, the first one we were told we both had to get a drink for a coupon we have for free wings with minimum purchase of a single drink as it states in the card which I pointed out on the coupon it does not say that and the waitress had the worst attitude afterwards. When paying she looked so mad and annoyed with a frown, ignoring me completely the whole time and again totally unnecessary as it states in the coupon that’s not needed not sure why someone would react this way besides being entitled and immature. Secondly, on a separate occasion I ordered some milk, I received it in a small cup which had never happened before and my milk tasted off like it had some type of spice the person I was out with confirmed that as well, I brought this up and was then served in a regular sized cup and the milk tasted much better. Upon paying the server put both milks on my bill, I said I shouldn’t be made to pay for that she responded with well the milk was fine we checked the expiry totally disregarding my experience and saying that no, I had to pay for both. I stated that wasn’t acceptable and I would like to speak with the manager she then raised her voice and quickly said, “ so what? What do you want me to do? Take it off the bill!?… to which I confusedly responded umm yes. Taken aback by her annoying and entitled attitude I’m not sure if their hiring pool is straight out from an illiterate, entitled, and immature high school but both experiences have been completely unavoidable if they could have been professional and humane. Again I’m not sure where their entitlement came from as they themselves did not build the company and even if they did they most likely would have never reacted or made their customers feel that way. Again, upon paying I was totally ignored and she had a huge frown on her face even after saying thank you to her in a very very kind way even though seemingly her world was changed and crushed by the decision to not make a customer pay for a milk that tasted off and served in a inconsistent cup size. Do better, shame this type of unnecessary attitude has to taint the experience of long term customers and I have to end up writing a bad review hoping something can change so as to improve - after a year of otherwise fairly great employee/customer based encounters and decent food.

Below average food at above average prices with mediocre service. I have been going here for over 10 years and it has become apparent the general decline in food quality, portion sizes and service. The atmosphere is very nice and well kept is probably the best part about this location. The pulled pork sandwich with their special maple bbq sauce was a watery, dripping mess that was very over powering and so soggy I ended up needing to eat it with a spoon. Next up the Fish and chips were over cooked and for $6.50 only 5 tiny, very angry looking shrimp are provided. Generally the price would long be forgotten if the food quality and or portion sizes were better. All this could of been easily rectified but our server Erin made sure to never ask about the food and somewhat avoided the table other than minimum service required. So we did not have a chance to inform her either. I could understand that yes it is Stampede week... but it was not even that busy in there at the time. P.S. On a side note when I was younger I used to like how they turn up the music at night, nowadays it just makes us leave.

This was my first time coming in to Hudons, it was pretty good. We got placed in a booth. It was in the back corner of the restaurant, it felt very isolating, I guess this can be good if that's what you want. I ordered 16.5 oz glass of beer, which was also shy from being filled all the way. Servers were really nice and friendly. I ordered the champion burger and when it came I realized they took the order down wrong and gave just the standard burger, definitely annoying since I was exciting for what I had ordered. The Servers offered to make a new one but said it would be about 10 minutes. Didn't want to wait as the other person with me had her meal and I also didn't want to make a big deal about it. The burger itself was fantastic, brioche bun as was amazing, lots of vegetables on it and perfectly cooked burger. At the end of the meal I learned that they didn't charge me for the burger which was a nice surprise. Overall the experience was good and I would come back.

We've been going there for a long time. The waitress are very pleasant to talk to. As soon as we are sitting down they know our order of drinks. The management staff are always walking around making sure the customers are happy. Everyone is always smiling and making the pub an enjoyable experience.

My wife booked the private room at the Shawnessy location on November 3rd for a birthday celebration. Our server, Kim or Kimmer as we affectionately called her through the night, was outstanding! Within 10 minutes she knew everyone's name in our party of ~45 people! The burger bar was excellent and atmosphere was perfect. Recommend this location and private room for your next celebration!

I got in at the perfect time on a Friday; 10pm with good prices on highball drinks. I think it’s from 10 pm till 11pm. The music was nice- at a good level and not too loud to block conversation but loud enough to dance to. The waitress was attentive and frequented our table during the one hour; so we made good use of the hour to get our drinks. She even made last call announcements just in time. Nice TV positions to watch the game. This is a nice place to visit and I will be visiting more. Oh they also have nice activities for example Wednesday Bingo night

Cozy nice atmosphere, we only tried wings, we had 3 rounds, 5 flavors, 5 of them were perfectly cooked to the bone. Flavors are so good, you can ask for a Parmesan wings too that was not on the menu I think ( sorry forgot to take a pic of it) Our server Bella was so sweet and attentive. So thanks to her washrooms are clean. It was busy on a wings day. We tried fleet of beers. If you want to try something different, beer feels creamy fruity, try the key-lime one ( in my pic it is to left, next to the red coaster). The grapefruit beer comes in second place for me

I had very bad experience last night , l have never seen most racist security and manager like them, we went in there for like a hour and we only spent like 20 bucks they wanted to call the police asking us how much did we drink? Who the he'll does that . I saw lot of people taking shots and drink lots of beer they left without being asked any questions, they us because of our skin color..that's really bad .

Poor service. And I'm not demanding. But every beer I finished came with a minimum 15 minute wait for the bartender to acknowledge me. The only reason I finally got my bill is because I gave the bartender the stink eye as he helped other people while continuing to ignore me and the other people told him "I think that guy at the end of the bar is looking for service." I was literally 10 seconds from walking out and not paying. Nobody would have noticed.

Had a wonderful experience here, our server was awesome! We went to a friend's 50th so there was a large group of us and our servers were super attentive and on top of the various orders. The food came from the kitchen fresh and piping hot! Congratulations to a well run pub! One suggestion would be to expand the craft beer selection, we have some amazing breweries here in Calgary now so there is no excuse for anything but lots of local options. We will be back!

We booked our work Christmas party pretty last minute but Caitlyn was very accommodating and was able to get us into the semi private area. Dayle was such an amazing server, remembered all our names and what we were drinking which can be difficult with so many people especially while we were all moving around. We weren’t without a drink all night and all the food was great

The food was sub par. No one in our group of 4 enjoyed the food. My $26 burger ....the patties were so dry and fell apart after 1 bite. The quesadilla was cold. So were the fries.The quality does not match the pricing. Music was so loud at 7pm we chose to leave so we could enjoy conversation with our party. Our server was top notch.

After living a short distance away since Hudson's opened, my husband and I finally made the decision to give this restaurant a shot for lunch yesterday. We were met with a super friendly, knowledgeable server, and she was more than willing to accommodate my husband's food allergies. The patio is gorgeous and the food was delicious. I stopped here for some food and a drink prior to going to a movie. The customer service was superb and seating was comfortable. The cocktails were mixed just perfectly which started off the experience right. We ordered the 1/2 off poutine happy hour special. The poutine was good but the food temperature was slightly warm which made it average. Not a bad choice for a drink and appetizer on the weekend.

Yea was really good. Got the fish and chips. Fish was crispy and two pieces decent size with AWESOME dill tarter. Also got a stater nachos for the table and was good size for 4 person to share and lots of guac!

I booked my reception there, and could not be happier with the outcome. The general manager was very kind & accommodating with our small party. Our server, Kole, was terrific. Great service & attitude. Be careful if ordering the Sled Dog drinks. They're delicious, and dangerous. Would recommend for any occasion. I will be back soon.

What a pleasant server we had. She was certainly kept busy as she was the only one working the floor. But still, she was all smiles, very friendly and accommodating as I have a food allergy. We split a burger and fries, which came on two plates, which was much appreciated.

Great prompt and polite service with very nicely made food that is appealing to the eyes as well as to taste. Electronic menu (scan with camera on your phone) is interactive with your bill, as you see what you've ordered and can pay right from your phone. Have been here multiple times and each time I have had a great experience.

Very good service by a pregnant server who was very sweet and made sure to get our happy hour orders in before it ended and also asked me if I wanted to get in two mimosas since the happy hour was over soon. However the poutine portion was very small for the price but that’s my only complaint. The nachos were great.

Service was great. Love the 5$ snacks. I think portions are a little smaller then regular meal but a great value. It was a bit loud but to be expected. Also would have loved a high chair for my little one. Waitress was very attentive and always checked back in.

Natasha was very attentive and on the ball. She didn't rush us to make a decision on food or drink and supported our decisions when we did. She was super great! The food was really good and the drinks were well priced. If I didn't have to go to work later, we would've spent the entire day on the patio.

Had a craving for a dessert and their mini donuts are dressed for success. Maple and caramel syrups with a hefty bacon presence. Orange creamsicle was their featured seasonal draught, obviously had to order a pint!

I placed an order from skip and everything tasted great but I ordered cauliflower bites from the shareable section on the menu for $10 and the portion was not shareable. It was barely enough for a 1 person appetizer. Not impressed. Will not be ordering from here again.

The food is really good. But the portion sizes are despicable … especially considering the price. We ordered 4 appetizers and they all came out in 3-4 inch mini skillets… 16 for 4 dry ribs? Won’t be coming back.
