I work there around 1998 for a few year’s. Most didn’t know I was 16- 18 year’s old. My father had got paralyzed so I had to grow up pretty fast. I work full time there in the kitchen an doing set ups an take in care of the high school students. I always thought it was funny I was there age lol. While they were in a nice school I was there working taken care of there needs. They didn’t even know I was there age. So my father died when I was 18. It was hard trying to survive an a time in my life I didn’t realize were god was in my life. 20 yrs later I ask god were was you in this time in my life. For I had a lot of things going on in my life. An god had showed me 20 years latter. How he was there with me helping me. When he died I didn’t know what to do. Financially life has an was a struggle. Trying to take care my self an even my father then. With out asking. Right before I sign the paper works in the hospital. Some one walk in from Hyde park. Right before I sign all the financial paper work for his death. The man said we won’t to help you take care this an even give him a funeral. I didn’t have a funeral there his family was all from Hawaii so there wasn’t any reason to. I really needed to move out my apartment as well there were so many bad memories in it. An I needed change an at the same time Hyde park said we want to help you find a place. I didn’t ask for any of this. An god just took care me. An I didn’t see it till 20yrs latter. How he was there. Hyde park baptize church tho was a huge blessing in my life as a young man in need of help. They were there for me. An it’s something I will remember all my life. So I have nothing but good things to say how god has used them for my life to be there in a time we’re I needed help. It truly was the only thing in my life then that was peace an joy in my life to work there. Thanks to Hyde park ! Above all thank you Jesus for being there an putting Hyde park in my path in life at that time. ❤️

We went to the church for the Handel's Messiah performance. I went in the front and straight into the sanctuary. I walked through and into the hallway, so I saw a little more of the building. It is a massive facility. The sanctuary is beautiful. There was a ginormous choir seating area for the choir, which was awesome for the performance - you NEED a big choir for Messiah. We parked about two blocks away, but there is a large parking garage right across the street. Great venue for the perfomance.

I've seen this church numerous times on television. I can truly say that, based on what I've seen, this church exemplifies every bad stereotype evoked in American-style, conservative white "Christianity". I remember their choir actually played at a national Republican event. Churches are not supposed to give political endorsements of any kind. If you're looking for insight into why young blacks are leaving Christianity in droves, look no further than a church like this and its biased atmosphere!

I watched the 10-16-16 televised service on "Suffering." Our Father knew what I needed at that moment. I don't know the pastor's name, but the spirit of God was like a veil that covered him as he preached. He took me within the veil this morning and spoke strength and grace to my spirit. Thank you Father for 1 Peter 5:6-7. It was the word (medicine) I needed.

My unhappy experience with Hyde Park church was when the lay leadersd were extremely unkind to several tenants of the lovely historic homes they razed to build their parking garage. For years I have loved attending the performances of Handel's Messiah at Riverbend Church. I am indescribably disappointed that it has been moved. Blah. Won't go this Christmas.

Very kind and generous group of folk at this charity! Frozen meats (1-2 pkgs depending on availability and family size) are provided along with the usual canned & staple goods They have options for vegan and homeless recipients who are without means to refrigerate or cook some food items.

Friendship program is organized over here which creates interaction between different people. Lesson about jesus is taught over here in a very practical way. Arrangement of refreshments are available. Different classes are scheduled over here like english, cooking, idioms, etc.

I have just been rejected for Christmas groceries by a very angry disgruntled and nasty old white man. I came with proof that I live in the neighborhood, but it didn't have a date on it, so I was rejected they did not mention the date when they told me to bring something

The people at this church do not know how to email correctly. Sometimes, I think it's possible they think the postman will make sure the email gets to the right person, but that's not how email works. The postman just does not exist.

Very friendly! I haven't been to a service here but stopped to pick up Operation Christmas Child boxes. My church in Dallas always did these and we wanted to continue the tradition.

We attended a Sunday service, and attended a funeral there the next day for a relative. The pastor and staff were kind and helpful. The sermons were uplifting and insightful.

Went to a concert of the Austin Symphony orchestra doing Handels Messiah and it was magnificent. ASO did a great job and the facility was perfect.

Love the church! Austin Stone Church does events here sometimes and they are very hospitable and generous to allow us to use their sanctuary.

Hyde Park Baptist Church is great. Friendly people. Dr. Bowman is a great pastor. Sermons are inspiring and relevant. Classes for everyone.
