"This is where the very first golf course was made"
I like this little bit of green, formerly part of KC's first golf course. It's in a little valley and is pretty peaceful. A few benches, a little playground, tennis courts, and a meditative surprise. There is help in cleaning up after your dog so please do... I do. One of the sweetest parks in the city.
Hyde Park is a fantastic park in Kansas City! Though its playground equipment is somewhat underwhelming, It is a huge park that offers a well kept lawn for kids and dogs to play on. It really shines as a place to go to jogging or to walk a
No longer recommend Hyde Park Auto. I have referred family & friends to them. They’ve done a few oil changes for me & some work on my steering column. But 7/30/21 I went in for an oil change, everything was the same as usual. 8/27 as I’m
Hyde Park and Historic Hyde Park have been going through a revamping lets say. Historic value is off the charts. The neighborhood is full of history dating back to turn of rhe 20th century. In fact my building at one point in time was
This is where the very first golf course was made. Not now though it's a small sliver of land that didn't get ate up by APTS. A safe haven for tweakers these days wich aint a bad thing cuz they need a place to!And now somebody is
Beautiful park with a lovely butterfly garden labyrinth. The park has nice shade to retreat from the sun. Really enjoyed our walk. The entrances I saw did not appear handicap accessible but we did not walk through the whole park.
Love this park, beautiful old neighborhood. I pop by there with my little dog often to grab a second of peace & escape. Often fun things going on too, last year I saw those big clear balls that you roll inside of. Super fun
This is a great park! Even though it's in the middle of the city with Gillham (busy) on either side, it still manages to feel secluded. Plus, the butterfly garden they put in attracts TONS of monarchs. Very fitting for KC.
I love Hyde Parks it reminds me of a little Valley... the best thing I love about it is the new Labyrinth they just put in... I guess way back in the day that used to be a golf course but that was way before my time...
Playground is nice and quiet. Nice place to take your kid(s) if you just want it to be you and them. Pretty clean but every now and then you have some people sleeping or drinking there. Not during rhe day tho
Beautiful park surrounded by historic homes and big trees! Usually very clean, and there's a water fountain for those hot, thirsty days. My kids love the butterfly garden/flower maze as well!
Lucky enough to stay in a Carriage House in one of the Jannsen Place homes. Gorgeous area that was quiet and centrally located to all that you want to do in the downtown and Plaza area.
I exercised today by going up and down the stairs surrounding the fountain and found a pile of six syringes with needles still attached on the ground. Seriously a potential danger.
We recently moved back to Hyde Park, and the area is beautiful. People are friendly, and the city park has been beautifully maintained by parks and rec.
Hyde Park is up and coming and over the past decade many improvements have been made and the community continually grows stronger and more stable.
A very nice park. Just a block or so from the hyde part historical houses. A very good walk, however there is some trash buildup.
Smaller park with a nice but small playground. the search and find game they included on the equipment was an amazing addition.
Lovely and quiet in all the right spaces, family and animal friendly. So beautiful and peaceful for walkers and joggers
Nice quiet neighborhood with a lovely little park which has jogging track, a butterfly garden and 4 tennis courts.
This is a beautiful area worth exploring. Rows and rows of early 20th century homes in wonderful condition.
Nice for walking and little area, Tennis court at one end. …

I love this park. The butterfly labyrinth is one of my true happy places in this city.
Home of KC's first golf course and just around the corner! I love living close by!
Nice place to go on walks. Well maintained lawns and it's got a sweet jungle gym!
Best neighborhood in the Midwest! 10/10 would recommend!
