Such a bad experience. This is the first time I order from Hype DC and it will be the last time. I came to this store to return 2 pairs of shoes after ordering them online as unfortunately they did not fit well my feet. With shoes, it happens unfortunately. I did not return them via Auspos (like with any other retailers these days) as you have to pay $10 for postage! The only way of returning for free is to come to stores (which is very annoying)a I order online all the time and returns are mostly always for free - that’s what you expect for a brand like HYPE DC, part of the biggest sneakers group in Australia! Service at the store was 0 and racist. First of all, I was returning 2 pairs of shoes; which I have both tried at home on my rug and for some reason the girl who looked after my return, rejected one for some random reason (I had a slight black mark??!!); which did not make any sense!!! I tried both shoes in the same area in my house for the same amount of time. As soon as she heard i was French, she became rude. She said things like “me too I’m not from here bla-bla-bla” - this was very racist. She did not make any effort to understand my accent when I gave my details for the other refund. Even tho i have an accent, I have been here for over 10 years and that’s the first time someone talk to me like this (especially in retail). Please change your staff!! This happened on Sunday 12/11 afternoon. I’ll go to another store to return the pair and hope I won’t have to deal with similar behaviours! Update : I went to Hype DC George St and the service was 100%. Staff was very friendly and proposed to try another size instead (unfortunately they did not have it). They have refunded me the pair with no issue.

Today (12/06) we asked a question about a particular shoe size without offering to check out the back or on the system, She told us that they didn’t have the size. Then we asked if the size was in a different colour version of the shoe to then we were told it didn’t, without checking once again. We then asked what the smallest size the shoe comes in and we’re told a size 6 womens when on the website the shoe comes in a size 5 (which we were looking for). The customer service was cold, blunt and unwelcoming the worker gave the feeling she didn’t even want to be there.

Was served by a lady called Ally, she’s so adorable and friendly and very helpful and I bought something within 5 minutes of being in store because of her help ! Thanks Ally …

The Asian lady works in this store is VERY RUDE! I asked about a $250 sneakers and she didn’t check in the system where I could find these sneakers! Miserable customer service!

Bought an Autry sneaker online. The parcel come from Hype eastgardens. The card in the box is soooo sweet!!! Thanks for Hype eastgardens. You made my day!
