I’m Shwetha, the administrator and a parent at ILM Montessori. I joined ILM three years back and a few months into my job I made up my mind that it’s ILM Montessori that my son would attend. My son has always been a little hesitant to communicate. But at the end of the day as soon as he would step out of the Montessori Environment he would begin sharing everything! His communication level has improved tremendously. At home, we don’t speak English. Just Kannada. But now’s he speaks English well and with my parents too! He would role-play a Teacher at home. I and my parents would be his students. : ) The best part is he has begun asking really intelligent questions. “Why is this? What is that? Why is the traffic signal green? Why red? What should we do? What are the different signs in the traffic signal?” After joining ILM, he has become quite independent. He takes his baths himself. He buttons himself all up (thanks to the EPL activities presented at school). Even when we ask him for help with work, he cooperates and does that immediately. I think the best thing about ILM is the teachers. They speak to children in such a calm and composed way that the kids are attracted to them. They are so approachable. Any instructions that need to be given to parents, they promptly schedule an appointment and are open to discussing it. The other thing that really stood out for me is how Teachers take corrective measures at school. If a child is sensitive, the teachers first have a discussion amongst themselves to figure out a strategy to send the message across without singling the child out. That way, no one feels hurt or put down. Yet learning still takes place. I would gladly recommend ILM to all parents. As a member of the team, I’m fortunate to see the environment inside first-hand. I am about three years behind in writing this review. We put our daughter at ILM in the summer of 2013 when it was little more than a house being remodeled. But we were sold on the spirit shown by the trustees and their love for the Montessori method. Over the last three years, ILM has seen setbacks, learnt, grown and succeeded. But through it all they have shown an unwavering commitment to two things - being a "full Montessori" and hiring the best quality instructors - from the principal down to the support staff. Both decisions have served the kids at ILM well. Although we don't usually think about it this way, picking a school for our kids is the most important decision us parents have to make.More consequential than buying a house or choosing a job. We are happy that on the most consequential decision of our lives, we made the right choice. We have watched our daughter go through pre-primary and now primary classes: using the amazing Montessori materials to form concepts in math, science and language. Concrete and sense-driven at first - more abstract and creative now. The Montessori method is the way to go, and, if you are in Bangalore, ILM is the perfect home.

ILM is one of the few schools where a child's development is highly concentrated for which the teachers are ready to do anything.They don't stick to any kind of rigid rules like any other ordinary school.The teachers are so friendly and they strongly believe that this approach will help the children learn both the academics and life skills to the best of their ability.They insist the parents also to be friendly at home. I find a lot of changes in my child after joining this school.He is more independent,realises his responsibilities,confident and above all he enjoys his learning.In ILM I find that education is not a business and it's purely a transfer of values & life skills to the children.I thank the trustees,principal,teachers & the support staffs for all your selfless service.Keep up the good work!!!!!

Me and my wife were running thru many schools in & around Koramangala and HSR Layout during last May; Finally we decided to go for ILM , because 1) Montessori school - We had decided to settle down for Montessori school over conventional school, as Montessori is natural way of learning. And We did talk to ILM principal, teachers & trustees. I see all of them strongly believe in Montessori teaching. And teachers here, are well experienced as well. 2) Ambience - The class rooms have good enough space, sun-light & air flow 3) We ran thru their teaching methodologies and toys/instruments they use for teaching. Those are pretty good for any Montessori school standard. My son has been going to this school for almost 6 months, he has been enjoying so far. I would definitely recommend.

Seeing the good reviews we visited the school for my toddler, but not at all happy with the attitude of lady who is incharge of school.. my son is 2.5 yrs old and he is not speaking yet, but makes sounds and conveys very well. But During the introduction itself lady named my son as Speech delayed and asked us to meet paediatric.. how mean?? That time itself I decided this is not the place for my son.. and my son is a normal kid, now he is going to a Waldorf school where he is very much happy and improved a lot with his speech as well. Pls don’t judge a kid right at the first meet, and every kid is different, if a teacher couldn’t understand it then no meaning in getting into that school.

Dear Rekha Hope you are doing good. Just wanted to thank you and your team for the wonderful work you are doing at ILM. I was really anxious for Kaitlyn. I wondered if she would settle down easily in a new environment when I moved from Chennai. However your teams of teachers have done a great job in helping my daughter settle down so easily. To my surprise she herself get ready to go ILM and we never reminded her about any homework etc. The positive energy my daughter, Kaitlyn shows every time we pass by ILM , shows the impact you created on the little Minds. As a parent, I feel the most important thing child can learn from early school is querocity and good manners rest he will understand as he/she grows up. What I feel that if any child is able to understand what is good and bad and once she is able to distinguish between these two he/she will be a good human being and find the path which leads to a good and sensible society that I feel ILM Montessori is able to fulfill. I am satisfied whatever they have done so far to teach my daughter. All staff is cooperative and qualified. Naved sir (principal) is very kind and easily approachable person. I think, ILM Montessori is the perfect place for the child to start schooling.

My son studies at ILM Montessori and learning at ILM Montessori occurs at a comfortable pace for my son and the use of 3D materials has given him a way to visualize and understand concepts much faster and in much greater depth than expected. I was once invited to attend and observe my son at ILM Montessori, all the children were given freedom to explore, experiment and figure out things for themselves at their own pace in a collaborative way with loving guidance of an exceptional teachers. I can't speak for all Montessori preschools but I will always be grateful and couldn't be happier with the ILM Montessori and the early education it is providing for my son. Yasir.

Dear ILM, We would like to thank you for being innovative and relentless in enabling 'Virtual Montessori' (an oxymoron in itself :P) for the kids during these difficult times. Not to mention your patience and understanding in handling the kids through the online classes! Though the classes were only 45min per day, at the end of the year we could see how much N & N have learnt through the year. It was also good for us parents to be involved in their learning process as well, and understand, appreciate the Montessori way of teaching better. ILM Montessori is a wonderful place for toddlers with patient, experienced teachers and approachable management. I am impressed by how thoughtful and conscientious they are in everything they do. Events and celebrations become occasions for learning and the toddlers enjoy them without getting overwhelmed or overstimulated - this takes careful planning and effort. The open courtyard provides a lovely, airy space for children to play under the shade of tall, flowering trees. ILM provides a positive, happy learning environment and teaches good habits and practices for life.

If you want to provide your child a good atmosphere to evolve as a lovely human being and to develop skills without being stressed then THIS IS THE PLACE. I see my daughter so peaceful and happy there and she loves going to school. Thanks to the administration, principal and the ever so kind teachers that they have. Their curriculum is well defined. They keep you updated throughout. Kids dont get homework because they manage everything for your child at school. I highly recommend this school to all.

I was delighted with the way the school pays attention to each child and is able to work on the child's needs and strengths. My daughter learnt life skills apart from academics, she learnt to be on her own, be curious and find out to know more. Teachers are really nice, helpful and open to talk at anytime if you have a question. Also most importantly ILM is one of the few good schools that has classes for kids over 6 years. My daughter enjoyed being at ILM and we enjoyed watching her learn.

ILM is a excellent school. The teachers are very focused on the core purpose of delivering quality, individualised education that captures the true spirit of the Montessori system. The atmosphere is very calm, relaxed, and tension free for the kids, and yet very focused on the daily activities. My son's love for school and his growing confidence makes me recommend IL whole heartedly.

The system of education at ILM is above par when compared to other schools. The montessori system of teaching is student friendly and convenient. The best part is children enjoy going to school, they have a lot of productive activities which are useful at their age. Hi. My son joined this school a year ago. I'm really great full to ILM team for giving him admission. Earlier he was in a non montesorri school, Inspite of that teachers have trained him so well. I can see a drastic change in his learning, in his attitude. Teacher and other staff are very good. I would highly recommend this school to other parents.

Awesome Montessori school. ILM is a school where real MONTESSORI method of teaching is adopted unlike the other schools who just have the name "Montessori". A very comfortable and fun learning experience for every child. My child has learnt much more than what I expected.Great to see every child being given special attention here.

I highly recommend this school. The teachers are fantastic. The class instruction is organized and the instruction plan is true to the Montessori teachings, unlike other pre-schools which claim to be Montessori. Ever since I was in grade 1, I've studied at ILM and loved every bit of it. I've been here until grade 8 and I've proudly graduated. The teachers here mean so much to me and I've enjoyed every moment here. ILM is absolutely one of the best schools out there and no school I've been to has lived up to this one :)
