    "Such an improvement"

"Terrible experience today from a shop that is normally very good, very well stocked and a nice experience, today was anything but that, the shelves were empty, they had loads of staff around the store seemingly packing the shelves, from what I could see the items they were putting out, they already had on the shelves, not restocking the items that were missing"

My experience at ICELAND Pett Wood, Kent. One female check out staff was incredibly RUDE WHEN I POINTED out errors where they overcharged me. When I showed them items incorrectly charged on my receipt ,a young blond ICELAND staff abrupted without APOLOGY said ' mistake happens'. When I demanded an apology for wasting my time as I was running late for an appointment, In front of other customers on the queue, the young blond ICELAND lady staff BLURTED OUT that she wasn't going to apologise & she Never did. SHE was really horrible she shouted raised her voice and created a scene in the store when I insisted on an apology. Which She Refused!!! And Rudely walked away. I asked for the store manager who came out and sorted everything. SHE refunded the full amount ' the spotty young lad ' overcharged me. The manager was calmer than the blond rude lady. Although initially she too was slightly rude later spoke nicely when she processed the refund. Before I left the store, the manager apologised to me and said she will have a word with the RUDE STAFF! I have never had any horrible experience in ICELAND store as almost all other staffs have been very professional , polite and provide good service. I just want the management to take note and reprimand this person. This rude blond young lady needs to be sent to proper customer service training as I was horrified & shocked the way she spoke to me. This young blonde lady shouldn't be anywhere near customer service I would like to plead with you as her type can give ICELAND a bad name. I might forward this complaint to your Head office. For Your records, it happened Today SATURDAY, 10 June 2017 between 15:.00 to 15:35 PM

Such an improvement. The pickers are – far in excess – better than six/eight months ago. (No more ‘frozen eggs’ left in the van overnight for example.) More importantly, the pickers seem to select extended use-by-dates, so I can spread things out with comfort/convenience. This is super-important. Thank-you. Moreover, no longer having to plan a man versus “use-by-date” 6,000 calorie eat-or-lose-it-on-the-same day FEST…like I did six months ago. Colin is a great deliverer. He is super-conscientious and hard-working. He understands business, and the bigger picture. Love a natter with this chap. Thanks, Colin; you have restored my faith in Iceland - Petts Wood.

Terrible experience today from a shop that is normally very good, very well stocked and a nice experience, today was anything but that, the shelves were empty, they had loads of staff around the store seemingly packing the shelves, from what I could see the items they were putting out, they already had on the shelves, not restocking the items that were missing. When I was ready to pay there was only one till open, and they let the queue get to the end of one of the isles before opening a second till. I think I will stick to shopping online at the moment.

Well finished work went to Iceland at 6 pm walked all way round got all my shopping for about over an hour bein in there got to check out to be told no delivery tonight or tomorrow at all so after I been in there for how ever long to be told that disgusting so had to leave my shopping and go home. How bad is that no sign up or to be told they wasn't no delivery tonight or tomorrow what a waste of bloody time stupid store what store does that but only petts wood. Joke

One of the larger stores with ample off street parking to the rear of the premises. The store is located adjacent to Petts Wood Station. From frozen and chilled foods, to household essentials, they stock nearly everything you need. "Iceland Foods Ltd is a British supermarket chain, with emphasis on the sale of frozen foods, including prepared meals and vegetables. They also sell non-frozen grocery items such as produce, meat, dairy, and dry goods." (Wikipedia)

It's a good local store but never anyone on tills as staffing levels are minimal. Always seems to be a lack of smaller trolleys and no staff to offer assistance. Shelves are usually we'll stocked but have found often there is a lack of stock rotation. Check Sell by dates, as quite often found new stuff at front of shelf placed in front of old items. Which means as the stock goes your left with almost out of date or actual out of date stock.

Always well stocked and presented, staff are quite active and attentive, easy layout means everything is easy to find. Don't see the manager on the floor much, seen him once in the year or so I've been coming here, that was to open a till when they were busy, although the lady did have to ring 4 or 5 times lol very happy with the shop, enjoy coming here to shop. Also has air con!

  • Christopher Crowther

Wide range of frozen foods, plus more modest, but adequate, range of non-frozen groceries. Prices are reasonable if you are careful to follow their multibuy system, which is easy to do. Prices are cheaper still if you pre-deposit on their Iceland card. There's an extra 10% off if you're over 60 and use the card on a Tuesday.

  • Sneaky Shopper

Absolutely Great!! All the staff dressed in Eskimo clothes, air con up full and giving away cornets! It Used to be Good fair prices Curly fries went from £1.25 to £2 in 1 jump, cheap frozen crinkles now,but they sold country life butter at £1.65 for ages. Same time,Sainsburys was on the Rob at £2.40 RIDICULOUS !

No Queue to get in, but they are changing the display by the entrance so you have to squeeze past two employees and loads of stock on the floor, hardly any bread, lots of empty shelves, luckily I only needed some bread rolls which they had, but its not great in there, have seen it much better.

Good CV19 protection in place. Very happy with frozen seafood selection. Much better shrimps than Morrisons or Sainsbury's. Could not find their Lobster tails which I went in for to start with. On the Plus side they had an impulse buy wine section. Always helps during these times... …

  • Nicole Barnes

I was suprised at how much of a wide selection of household goods, dried and fresh foods were available as well as the frozen foods. Great one stop shop. However, there was a single queue system for all the tills that took about 15mins to get through, despite the shop not being very busy.

  • Adam Fergar

Usually great. Fairly priced until revamp. Which customers are now paying for considering the pricing changes of most items. Also seem very limited on staff. I purchased £120 of weekly fppd and 4 items were already outof date!!!! Unimpressed to saythe least...

  • Lynn Moylan

Found everything I needed for a weeks shopping. Staff very helpful and friendly . Covid restrictions in place . Excellent prices would recommend . parking behind Iceland cost only £1 which is refunded in store

  • A & S Deer

Handy local. Fruit and veg consistently better than the nearby Morrisons. Could do with a self checkout machine. Good place to go if you want to accidentally get a larger-than-you-really-need dessert.... …

  • J W

Pleasantly surprised by iceland these days, some of there food isnt half bad. Its a bit understaffed though, they end up calling other staff who are shelf stacking to come and man the other tills.

  • Dennis Downey

As I'm a widower this was my first time my daughter dragged me into the pets wood branch I was very surprised how cheap you are compared to Tesco .I'm shopping in Iceland from now thank you

  • So MuchCrap ToGetHere

Despite paper £20 notes being legal tender until 30 September (nine and a half weeks away) this store is already refusing to accept them. Tesco and Sainsbury's can have them instead. Bye.

  • Sue Ovard

Nice store but would be better if the aisles were kept a bit clearer. Tricky to negotiate special offer baskets and abandoned stock cages with a shopping basket let alone a trolley!

  • SMDPhotog photography

Ended up having to pay TWICE for goods because apparently your system said I paid a 'ghost payment' even though my bank said the payment came out of my account. You owe me 21 quid!

  • Philip Lowe

Stock levels generally good at the moment and numbers of people in the shop is OK, if it gets busy they do start restricting entry so you should be able to remain relatively safe.

  • Craig Piercy

Decent place to food shop, good for picking stuff up quick and of course good prices.....you pay in park but redeem ticket in store for car park fee back.....winner winner!!

  • Guillermo Carlos Rodriguez Moremo

Like the selection of frozen foods, good quality and very tasty. Bought it for a friend that prefers to the Wiltshire frozen ones. Big choice. And very reasonable prices

  • Nicola Stone

Always a pleasure shopping here. Clean and tidy store, friendly and helpful staff too. The choice of food and drink is amazing... I do my weekly shop here now !

  • Diane Thompson

Even though it small you can get all your food you need as well as the friendly staff we come from crystal palace to go shopping in this Iceland …

  • afv htc

Good, especially the bread, but Iceland are still peddling bottled water despite their headline grabbing claims to give a dam about plastic waste.

  • Sharon Tibbals

Love this shop, great value for money. Only criticism is there are never enough staff on the tills, doesnt matter what time od day you go in.

  • Christine Marshall

First time I had visited Iceland in nearly 30 years and was seriously impressed with the range of goods and reasonable prices. Great stuff!!

  • Cilla Taylor

Good shop but needs to update its car park to accept card payment instead of cash only. If I haven't the right coinage I go elsewhere

  • James Lawrence

Good selection of frozen and non-frozen goods. Also I love going there for the 24 cans of drink which range from only £7.50! Bargain!

  • Nicky Wyatt

Small, but gets busy, staff shortage so not often more than one sales assistant on the tills, friendly & polite staff in my experience

  • keith burchell

Poorly stocked today, had to queue for a long time with my 5 items. Spillage on the floor . Was disappointingly dirty today.

  • Ros Bannerman

Good store but what puts me off is the lack of staff on the tills. This happens more or less every time I visit the store.

  • Colin Latham

What's not too like good products reasonably priced good friendly service worth a visit if you haven't been there before

  • Angelina Bourne

Nice big clean store, wide range of products, well laid out, friendly staff, excellent value for money. Would recommend

  • Body Kit Store

The shop is fine, but the car park is quite a trek away and virtually inaccessible for wheelchair and rollator users.

  • Emerald McQueen

Great slimming world products sold at Iceland. Good variety of food and drinks...friendly staff at Pettswood Branch

  • Adam Harknett

Cheap beer and the Jamaican patties are pretty good too but don't buy Mayonnaise with gravey as that is just rank.

  • Paulina Azakli

After refurbishment even better place to shop. Only down side was only one checkout open when was quite busy.

  • Christine Powell

Great range and prices. Easy parking for small fee out front and free parking round the back of the store.

  • Allan

Very good service with a smile especially on a very hot day they need something to cool them down i think

  • Alan Rosewell

Got what I needed but need more staff on tills , lovely lady on her own long queues felt sorry for her

  • Squashy

Everything you expect from Iceland but these tills are always under staffed. Especially on a Saturday.

  • lyn iszard

No queuing to get in has a great choice of fruits vegetables breads and of course frozen foods

  • Andrew Venn

Despite Iceland's marketing regarding single-use plastics they're still peddling it for profit

  • Peter Cheung

Good selection, good value, car park fee is refunded if you meet their minimum spend in store

  • Cliff Kirsch

Great big prawns two huge bags for 15 quid. Smooth transation ready for a NYE treat. Happy.
