The movers were great, but when damage was discovered the dispute resolution process was bizarre and difficult. We dealt with a guy who told us he recently bought the business, and ran several other businesses - he kept reiterating this during every interaction with him. We agreed on a price of $160/hour which we've found is about industry standard - rates range between 100-300/hour in Sydney based on our research. The business owner told us to expect them around 1-2pm. The movers arrived around 3:45pm on the day. We pointed out a walnut table we were concerned about and whether we should bubble wrap it ourselves, and the business owner assured us that it would be wrapped properly and taken care of. Our items were loaded, transported and unloaded in about 5 hours. The two removalists were polite and professional during the move, as was the business owner (at the time). At the new house, we paid the business owner at around 9pm, gave him and his two removalists a 6-pack of beer each to say thanks, and went to bed after a tiring day of moving. The movers asked us to do a walk through to check to see if anything needed to be moved to different rooms. Since the move finished so late, and we were happy with where the furniture was placed, we just said it was fine, so we could sleep. The next day, we checked around the house and saw chips in a freshly painted doorway, and a large scratch on the walnut table we were told would be specially wrapped. We also discovered we were missing our toolbox full of tools we needed to unpack and reassemble our furniture. The paint chips appear to have happened when a desk was brought through the doorway by the movers - we found what looked like paint marks on the edge of the desk which match the doorway. We tried to call the business owner and asked him to call us to discuss the damage. We also sent photos of the damage. We were repeatedly via text told that he has other clients he has to deal with, is busy running 7 companies and all types of other strange irrelevant excuses to avoid taking our calls or committing to a resolution. Then, the business owner just told us to go and buy some touch up paint. When we pressed him he told us he owns a touch up business and has paints in his van but is too busy to do it that week. He declined our phone calls and insisted on text messages stating that he was in international business meetings, while sending frequent, long text messages instead. Then, the business owner claimed that he and his crew were not responsible for any damage and that he has photos of everything wrapped, which he never provided. We got legal advice and pressed him to take ownership he accused us of lying and trying to intimidate him. He then agreed over email to reimburse us only for the table damage, and said "his team" would sort out the payment but did not commit to any date. The next week, we followed up via email as to when we'd receive payment, to which he replied that he now wanted an invoice from the table repairer. We provided this and he re-agreed to pay us, confirming it would be that week. UPDATE: We left this review after no compensation was paid. Immediately after I posted this review the owner suddenly started calling me and made an Osko (i.e. instant) payment for the damage, claiming it was done earlier in the week... He has threatened to sue for defamation if I don’t delete this. I'm leaving it up because I don't want other people to have the same negative experience we had. Just to be clear this review is my honest account of things that happened with this business and includes my opinion based on my experience with them. (I have all the SMS’ and emails). It has been an absolutely shocking and stressful experience for us, not something I wanted to deal with after moving.

I highly recommend Extracare Removals. I was recommended to Extracare Removals from a friend of a friend. From the start, Matthew the owner was very helpful and responsive. He recommended a 3-man team to make our moving as stress-free as possible and we took his advice. We rang around and compared price and availability with other removalist companies and shortlisted two including Extracare Removals. While the other company was saying no to some of our requests, Matthew was happily saying yes and even giving extra suggestions. We moved from a villa to an apartment which has its own challenges including the fact that the removal truck cannot fit into the carpark due to the 2.10m height limit. Matthew supplied two medium size trucks and a ute to ferry our content from the truck into the carpark. He even came onsite two days before the move to scope out the place and met with the building manager so we can be better prepared on the day. This really helps reassure us that we're in good hands. His crew of three were very efficient, helpful and friendly. In total our move took 7 hours which I think is reasonable for our situation.

I sent a request for a quote, discussed the details over the phone, received a prompt booking confirmation, and the next time I encountered the team, they were at my place at the agreed-upon time. They respond quickly, don't shy away from challenging flights of stairs or delicate vintage furniture, and are the nicest people to deal with from start to finish. While there are plenty of removalists in the Northern Beaches, the service and pricing offered by Ignite Removals are unmatched. Finally, here's a company that doesn't pass on the full cost of inflation to consumers. This time around, I also utilised their end-of-lease cleaning services. Too easy! In conclusion, Ignite Removals undeniably stands out as an exceptional removalist company in the Northern Beaches, providing integrated services that consistently deliver excellence.

I used extra care removal services during the peak of covid restrictions and I cannot recommend their service enough. Matthew was very considerate adjusting his fully booked day to help out. I was running out of time to find the right service and there was a high demand and shortage of movers at the time. The building apartment I was moving in had a very specific requirement and rules (no loading dock, low clearance entrance, strict schedule on the lift etc) and he spent time visiting the site first before the day of the move. I am moving by myself and was only quoted for 2 helpers but he turned up on the day too to give us a hand. His team was very professional and careful handling my stuff. They did things in the most efficient way and mindful of the time because they have more jobs lined up for the day. Very impressed for an excellent job and I am definitely going to book them again in the next opportunity. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had the pleasure of having the team from Extracare Removals provide a superb professional service. From the very first contact with Ashley through to shaking hands with the revivalist team at the end of the move. There is a high level of personal attention and care, lots of communication and very prompt action taken. I was made to feel very confident with how Management organised and notified me every step of the way and their advice was spot on. Carlos and Matt were prompt, super friendly and a really reliable team that you can count on. They made it look too easy, they were swift and very careful with our belongings and really listened to the customer. We have previously had terrible experience with removalists ( a different company to this one) and we were considering doing the entire move ourselves (a bit crazy) however after doing some research i stumbled across ExtraCare removals and read some amazing reviews and speaking directly with Fabricio on the phone and explaining my concerns from past experience he put me at ease and told me everything would go to plan and nothing would be an issue and now I can 100% vouch for these guys. We had two great guys Fred and Lucas and they knew we only wanted to have them for 3 hours and they worked hard to get all the items we wanted loaded into the truck with enough time to unload at the other end. These guys were great. They looked after my stuff, accommodated all my needs, very friendly and great price. If your story sounds like this then just use these guys and you will be right…. You put that you want a removalist into a service seeking site. You get about 25 calls all of which have similar pricing and roughly similar good reviews. It is hard to decide. I got lucky and mate used these guys about two weeks before I did and said they were great. I then used them and could not ask for more. They have all the stuff, different dollies, heaps of blankets, straps etc and they take the time to think about what they are doing so they move it and pack it right. They displayed genuine care for my stuff and were cool so highest marks possible.

This is my third time using Ignite Removals and I am so impressed with their positive attitude where no job is too small or too difficult. Genuinely posting a review because everyone needs to know how good Ignite Removals are - they do all the standard stuff really well, efficient, no damage to our stuff, everything arrived etc etc, but the best thing is the actual service - the communication prior to the move was easy, the boys on the day were super friendly and positive throughout, and they all went above an beyond to make sure the move was as easy for us as possible. Not only did they shift everything, but they took a load of packaging (not just theirs) away, and are coming back to pick up boxes when they're empty. We've used a lot of movers and these guys are the best.

Highly recommend. I found Extracare from a review on Manly Living Facebook group. I called for a quote. Matt answered and his customer service was brilliant. Was able to arrange a move with 2 days notice. On the day Matt arrived early to survey the quantity to be moved. At 7am prompt Matheus and Alex arrived and began the move. They had a very professional approach, were friendly and attention to care. They moved glassware as well as valuable painting, during the move I was never concerned for my valuables. Great removalists! Carlos, Lucas, and Fred did our move last April 15, 2019. They were very professional, efficient, and friendly, all the way from Fab quoting our stuff, to the team making sure everything was as we wanted before leaving us. Nothing was too much for them. I am so happy I booked them as I was quite anxious about hiring quality movers without putting a dent to our wallet. They came highly recommended from friends and I also did my research. I was a bit concerned a few days before our move to be told they could no longer come at the scheduled time, and instead of 8am, it would be 11am. However the owner reassured me that to make up for it, he would supply an extra van, plus two additional staff (at his cost) to make the move quicker. The staff were all very friendly and professional, and this is clearly a company who cares about a good customer experience - even offering to return to move furniture free of charge if we decided we put it in the wrong place, and to return to pick up any boxes we no longer want (free). The callback for quote was the most professional. The follow-up, very proactive. The removalists showed up on time, courteous and efficient. I was quoted 5 hours, which didn't include dismantling and re-assembling the bed and couch, but they did that within 5.5 hours. Move completed 2 weeks ago. Highly recommended. I was skeptical if such high rating on Google was fake, but I rarely write reviews but just saw their truck on the road and felt obliged to put in the review. They also accepted cards and afterpay without a charge when I booked.

We have a very good experience in using Extra Care removal. They are fast but also care about the things they were moving. We also had the lift in the old building broke down and we couldn't use the lift for several hours, but they continued to work without complaints bringing down the furnitures and other stuff down the stairs. The team were phenomenal at extra care removals. Arrived on time to what was a massive job and got under way. They had a plan in place and managed to load the truck with a high level of skill.
