This place is somewhat a hidden gem, most people spend uncomfortable hours in traffic commuting from ikorodu (mainland) to the island of lagos. The terminal offers a faster and safe way to the island by boat. The staffs are friendly and the terminal is serene and doubles as an art galleria which provides a cool place to relax while you wait for your commute. The terminal also has eateries to compliment. Some of the boats are in good condition while most need to be replaced But travel safety culture in the form of trained captains, life jackets are commonplace. I would recommend this as an easy and safe way to travel to the mainland or island. The cost is 800 naira for the government boats which are in better condition but may take more time loading passengers. And 1000 for the private companies who load quicker.

Usually Busy in the morning and Evenings when there are commuters. Has other businesses in the complex and keeps growing month on month. You can get a life Jacket (if you want to have a personal life jacket) or be provided with one once you're about to board the Ferry. There are different partners and ferry option to choose from. Although, you're limited by your location. The Lag Ferry seems to be the most affordable (around N1,000) and the most stable while in transit (although slower). About 60 passenger capacity. If you don't have an issue with time, then this is for you.

- Easy access - Next to Dangote Harbour - Great and affordable Car Parking Services - Ticketing is fast and easy - Competitive options are available - Ready and available Boats to different distinatiind. - Short wait time before Boarding. - LAGFERRY are Bigger, Better and Cheaper! - LAGFERRY also have standby Rescue Boat. I love the trip and I'll do it again , For improvement:, * Introduction of online payment portal * Other Boat/Ferry transport should improve on their ticketing method in order to reduce teft * Training and retraining of Boat Crew

Is your destination Victoria Island, Lekki or Apapa from Ikorodu? Your best bet is going through the waters using ferry from Ikorodu ferry terminal. It is time saving and cost effective. The staffs are friendly and they do overload. They operate from Monday to Sunday and no night travels. Current rate from Ikorodu to VI, Sandfill and Lekki is N1,200 Mondays to Fridays and N1,500 on Saturdays and Sundays. If you're a regular user of ferry, it's advisable you buy your own lifejacket... I hope the Lagos state government invest more on water transportation.

I love the environment, the scenery is beautiful and spacious. You can find a place to sit while waiting for your turn. The journey was really fast compared to road transportation. We got to CMS ferry terminal in about 20-25 minutes. They charge N1,000 weekdays and N1,500 on Sundays. I wasn’t able to confirm how much is charged on Saturdays. Customer service was friendly. Less crowded on Sundays. I noticed that some of the lifesaver jackets need to be fixed or replaced, so that a passenger doesn’t wear them mistakenly.

  • MaleeQ Kareem

Easy to get to, parking space for those with vehicles, although I'm not sure if it's free. Now sometimes the customer service can be slow and poor, other times it could be good and swift, but on bad days you might actually spend more time on queue which could be the result of too many people and slow Response from the attendants which beats the purpose of using it as a means to get to your destination faster, But overall it's a much better option for those who want to get anywhere earlier.

Ikorodu Ferry terminal is a great place to get ferries going to Lagos Island, Victoria Island, CMS and other places. There's a reduced ferry operations here on Sundays to Victoria Island. Some people assume there are on Sunday ferries but there are. Ferry fares are subject to change without notice but in the space of 7 months I've visited, the fare to Victoria Island from here is around 1500.

Nicely organized and helpful people Lagos State Ferry services don't work everyday so make sure to have ₦2000 for a ride by private operators. Fashion advice: wear comfortable water proof footwear Fashion advice for ladies only: wear leggings or trousers or something to cover you comfortably there will be a bit of climbing upward above people's eyes

Ikorodu Ferry Terminal is home to the Lagos State Government's ferry services and other privately owned ferry services. It is a special facility located at Ebute region of Ikorodu West. The facility offers services such as ticketing, tuck shop, bakeries and a loading terminal for ferries that board along the Lagos island to Ikorodu locations.

  • adeleye adedayo

I liked my experience there. The trip was fast, getting of tickets were super fast, it's a hack to best Lagos traffic, life jacket were more than enough, but it would be nicer if it's being ensured that the passengers use the life jackets correctly. The boats weren't the best aesthetically, but it does it job. I recommend.

  • Sunday Femi (SUNNYBASS)

First and foremost the price need to be look into because it's getting too expensive and secondly all the boat need to be checked and they need those driver to be orientated not to be stopping the boat in the middle of the ocean it create panic for the passengers and that is not good for business

  • Bunmi Y. K

The Ikorodu Ferry Terminal is a constant in my journey to work daily. Commuting from Mainland, Ikorodu to the Island is made easy thanks to the Ferries at the Terminal. In less than 30 minutes, I commute daily via the sea, for a journey that would have taken more than 3 hours via the road.

  • Adetokunbo Akomolafe

There are ferries here, including the ones provided by the Lagos State Government which are safe and are there to take you to the Island under thirty minutes. But I'll advise that one should buy an original personal floating jacket to guarantee safety during mishap (may God forbid it).

  • Darlington Aibangbee

Beautiful and well organised terminal. No hassle getting tickets. Fastest economical way to get to the island from Ikorodu, mile2 and the likes. If you don't get sea sick that is. The Waxi boats are a more comfortable option. With just a little extra to the normal fare. …

  • Maxon S.E

It's a standard ferry terminal with an eatery, ticketing booth, waiting etc. Their restroom is always locked. And government ferries are often not available. When available, there is excessive delay relative to the private ones which are more expensive.

  • Janet Inyang

I had an amazing experience the journey wasn’t up to 50min from ikorodu to Cms but it’s expensive I didn’t know it was 2k literally that was my first time.. so yeah not discouraging anyone but to prepare you so you won’t be stranded. ❤️❤️❤️ …

  • Monsur Akere

Standard Ferry Terminal Now open for business, expansive car park, nice comfortable new boats very courteous staff manning the new boats. However hope the jetty operator Halo waters (promoters of Lagos Waxi) can add more boats soon... Nice one

  • Idris Akanji

They need to make a standard provision of water in their rest room for passengers. We use to look for water before cleaning up, so disgusting. Many time the girl cleaners use to help extra ordinary to hussle for ware else where.

  • Olowookere Owolabi

It's fine and OK, at least if someone don't want to take road, ferry is alternative, and this particular place has a parking lot and have security there 24/7, but don't know yet if you will pay when u park your car there..

  • Bimbo Okusanya

Waited for over 2 hours to get a boat ) to Lekki. Paid 2k no ticket was issued. Had to pay another 1k directly to the driver. Spent another hour due to water hyacinth. Luckily the return trip was better 1500

  • Marcel Ekemezie

Everything was just easy and simple. Fast service, fun customer care people. They make sure everything thing is in other before the boat leaves. Everyone must be on a life jacket,it's fast and safe

  • adewale amusa

It is a strategic place to get ferry out of Ikorodu to the Island and the Lekki Ajah axis. However government needs to do better at enforcing safety measures at all ferry terminals in Lagos state.

  • Onome Austin

It was really a beautiful scenery. It has a very cool lounge on the first floor called Cafe de lounge. Really beautiful place and great food. You should check it out if you're ever around there

  • olumuyiwa henry

Great! It's a very good innovation by the Government. The Services there allowed my easy navigation to Victoria Island. No traffic at all. It's highly preferable route to Island and Ajah axis.

  • Sikiru AMIDU

Built like a mini airport for taking boats from Ikorodu to VI and other places. There is a need for the government to provide more standard boats as most of the boats relatively small.

  • philip ifeanyi

Scheduling is pretty fast, customer service is okay, nice building, and it's cheap for the distance! They could try cleaning up the harbour though, it'll make for a better scenery.

  • Ismail Oluwole

I take boat from the jetty to falomo ikoyi everyday. At the jetty there are boat going to different destination like 1. CMS 2. FALOMO 3. VI 4. SANDFILL 5. LEKKI 6. EBUTE ERO

  • Olasunkanmi Daniels

My first ferry ⛴️ terminal... It was an awesome attendance from the teller, captain, coast guard and the entire team! HSE policy was adhered to strictly... Kudos guys!

  • Joe A

Quite effective with water transportation. Need to improve on electronic ticketing, more efficient car parking system. Some facilities (restrooms) require maintenance.

  • Friday Filmboy Nwagwu

Apart from the official Lagos boats that is smooth, safe and organised, evey other boat is like a Lagos Danfo (commercial bus) and the riders also behave like them.

  • Aruna Afeez

It's super organised. There are a lot of places to shop as well, the ambience is superb and the captains and coordinators are keen to safety and protocols.

  • Tosin Ajisafe

A well spacious place, could accommodate more than 100 persons at once. This facility was established to board boats between Ikorodu and Victoria Island.

  • Abraham Awe

The waterway transport system from Ikorodu will be endangered with avoidable creatures like these hyacinths. We appeal to concerned bodies for mitigants.

  • Muhammed “Danlitiny” Abdullahi

The place is easy to find from anywhere in Ikorodu. It is clean and they ensure every safety procedures are followed before boarding any ferry ride.

  • Gbemisola Shifaw

It was my first time, and it was smooth. I had Naviphobia, but It has now been conquered. I will take ferry ride again because it is very fast✌️

  • Nelson Onyemauche

Goverment should do better the green leaves that comes seasonal are suppose to be taken care of it causes more harm on the boat and parssengers

  • Semiu Ademola

The Boat ride was amazing and the terminal so beautiful. The terminal linked Ikorodu to other parts of the Lagos through water transportation.

  • Stephen Awojobi

The terminal is cool, the boats however are very old.... Especially the boat ferrying passengers to Apapa. The life jackets are horrible

  • ese nelson

Smart way to avoid the Lagos traffic when commuting from ikorodu to the island. Boats are available to Ebutte Ero, CMS, VI and Apapa

  • Adewola Asaolu

Water transport means from Ikorodu to various destinations e.g. VI, Lekki, Falomo, Ikoyi etc. Fee is 1k at the time of this review.

  • Ugochukwu Emmanuel

At first, I thought it would have been messy... But, this place beat my expectations with the facilities been put in place there.

  • Adejoke Ogunola

The fastest way to beat Lagos traffic LagFerry is the safest option. There are 3 types of boats available, small, medium and big

  • Nana Hauwa

The house 8 at the ferry terminal is a nice place to hangout... And there is another lounge upstairs, that place is also great.

  • Toluwalope Temidayo

Transportation is fast , easy and is 1k for the speed boat , 1k for other types of boat too. Opening hours are from 6am -6pm.

  • Adeyemi Oladunjoye

Nice pub, cool lounge in the evening and ferry terminal during the day. Nice relaxation atmosphere with Karaoke on Thursdays

  • Akosile Muhammad ISSA OLAYINKA

Cool place. But Lagos state should hasten up to Start Lag-Ferry. I believe the Service will be better, cheaper and Faster

  • Ola Ibrahim

Not bad. A little bit of more crowd control mechanism should be implemented and customer service must also be looked at.

  • Expatriate Colours

It's a good place to go to VI/Lekki/Ajah axis. However the facilities need improvement by the government.

  • Gbenga Osewa
