What a shame! Booked for 5:30 knowing we had to be out by 7:30.... yet 2 hours was not enough for just a main course! Waitress was lovely and very apologetic for the long waits. Took an hour for the bread to come to the table and didn't get the main course til 6:55. Side order of chips came after some of the party had finished their main. Politely complained to be told the management will see you on the way out - oh and heard management saying doesnt everyone in here. If you can't handle the bookings, don't take them! How embarrassing. If 2 chefs cannot cater for 20 people then they should not be in the trade. Seemed to care more about delivery/take outs. A lot of miserable faces in the restaurant. Such a shame! Food was acceptable

This place has it all. Warm and friendly staff, amazing food, charming and relaxed family friendly atmosphere. Very accommodating to little ones, booster seats/plastic cutlery and plates, everything you need and nothing is too much trouble. Our 18 month old has an egg allergy and they had all the allergen information and were very confident with this. This is very much appreciated as it can be quite unnerving eating out with an allergy but it was clear from the start that we were in safe hands. The food was very tasty and more than reasonably priced given the high quality and current cost of living. Thank you so much, we will be back soon.

What a great little find!! Booked last min and was amazing. The food is great honest food. The restaurant is homely and comfy. The staff are great. We took 4 kids and they could not do enough for us. The waitress brought over colours and paper and the kids were given sweets when we left. The menu is small and everything is made to order, the kids could have anything from the menu and it.was made smaller, which again is brilliant. Normally on a Saturday night you feel a pain in the bum with children but not here, we will be eating here again!

Eaten here a few times now and it never fails to disappoint, food is always delicious and we’ve never had any problems with the service which has always been friendly and attentive. Our latest visit was before we went to a show at the Town Hall and after contacting them to explain we’d be pushed for time a lovely lady called Emma arranged for us to preorder our food and as agreed it was on our table within 10 minutes of us sitting down which allowed us enough time to enjoy it without rushing. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Always a great experience whenever we visit, the atmosphere is always welcoming, the food is great and the price is really good value for money. The Brie and the pesto pizza on our latest visit were amazing and the whole family loves the Carbonara. We always leave feeling happy and full! Never had a bad visit and always one of our top choices when going to eat out as a family. We feel there is always such a good range of food to choose from and an option to keep everybody happy!

Similarly to a lot of people in these reviews, the food was good but speed was atrocious. Took 2 hours for the main course to arrive and when it did it was partially wrong. I feel very sorry for the waitresses in as they take most of the flack from customers. But if the kitchen with 2 people can't cater to 20 people then you either need more or different staff. Seems there's a major understaffing issue, we loved coming here as a family but afraid to say that we won't be back after the service tonight. Truly a shame.

Amazing food, better staff! We went with a small group as we were staying in the Premier Inn prior to a flight and needed somewhere to eat which wasn't the Beefeater nextdoor (see their reviews) So glad we were recommended here as it was fab. We had a baby with us (well ours) and the staff were so helpful making us feel at home/all our needs were catered for etc. Prices were very reasonable and flavoursome. Doesn't take cards however, but there are 3 cash points right opposite at Morrisons supermarket

Went to Il Sogno Tuesday 8th Sept. There were 4 of us dining. For starters we had Pate, Garlic Mushrooms and the Calamari, main courses we had Lobster Ravioli, Chicken Forestiere and Ribeye Steak. Could not fault any of the food at all - it was amazing. We couldn't manage a dessert but all opted for liqueur coffees. It was our first time at this restaurant and definitely won't be our last. Thank you Kim for being our server for the evening. A hard worker and nothing was too much trouble.

The food here is phenomenal. One of those rare places where every single item on the menu is a treat. Lovely friendly staff and a nice atmosphere (it does, however, get quite noisy)

Advise booking a table. 2 adults and 2 teenagers we in our party. Friendly staff very attentive. We had 2 x calamari (cooked to perfection) and tomato garlic bread for starter and we all had pizza and 4 x chips (2 x chips would have been enough). The food was great, lovely atmosphere we had 3 beers and 3 soft drinks and the bill came to £81 left over Pizza we took as carry out. Will definitely go again.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Everytime I visit, I feel I need to come back sooner! The food is amazing, staff wonderful and always the most welcoming atmosphere. If you haven’t been yet you’re missing out.

The staff were friendly however the food was terrible. I cook have cooked a better meal myself. The options were all fried apart from the pizza and the desert was store bought. My lemon meringue was served cold as well. The mains were highly disappointing, my chicken was dry and the mustard was overpowering. I begrudged having to pay for it and would never return

Lovely place and spacious inside, well laid out and friendly staff. I had noticed the place a few times when passing and decided to check out review which ultimately resulted in trying out the take away pizza, which was divine. 2x Margherita, 1 funghi and 1 pepperoni. Would be a five star review but didn't eat inside. Highly recommend.

Very friendly staff and owners, food always cooked to a good standard, great place to visit whether it is for a special occasion or just a midweek meal, the best authentic thin crust pizza in the area. They even do take outs which are very reasonably priced. We keep going back time after time, and will continue to do so!

A nice way to spend an evening with the family. My children were welcomed and interacted with by all. I loved that they could choose anything from the menu and would just be a smaller portion. The food was lovely, hot and timed well. We weren't rushed at any point in time.

We were a table of 5 for a birthday meal. The restaurant was lovely and warm, the service was great and the food was amazing. We all had a starter, main and dessert and spent just a little more than when we go elsewhere with just two of us. We will be back again soon.

Went to Il Sogno last night for a get together. The service was excellent the place was lovely staff very welcoming. Our meals were to our exact specifications due to a medical condition. Absolutly beautiful. Will definitely be going again in the new year.

This is such an amazing restaurant, the food is so so good. Even if you just pick up a takeaway the value for money is excellent. I have been about 20 times, just love it.

Once again a fabulous food from our local Italian as rated in the top 3 in a poll by the Yorkshire post. Fresh cooked food. The lobster ravioli is worth a special mention.

Nice food friendly staff, I did ask for a dish to be altered but due to it already pre made I had to pick something else. However lots of other tasty things to eat.

The food was lovely. Sadly the kitchen wasn't able to cope with less than 20 people as it took 1hour and a half to get our food, leaving only 30 minutes to eat.
