We really hadn't much time in between my old man's, 6 Days a week work schedule & his 1 day off each week, but we made the best of our trip and stay while visiting this beautiful, and gorgeous state!! Although we had wished we got to visit this place here among others all during our recent & short, but we'll stay here in Indiana!! A total of- 2 Cities/Towns: We stayed in local motels in each of these places, Decatur, and Markle IN. Amazingly we had limited time & opportunity yet we did have the pleasures of touring and revisiting bunches of local & surrounding counties within the state, mostly closest places around the area where we kept staying for the next 6 half months or so. Other places located in Indiana around our location, depending on our at the moments living arrangement and the distance to & from my man's work area!! Had a good factor on the total trip itself!! The Places included: Decatur, Markle,Huntington, Marion, Fort Wayne, & Bluffton includes our entire timeline during our stays, and all in total trip that we both were very MUCH needing, wanting & loving it. As we both were getting ever so decent at our remembering our map of the areas we are at the most frequently. Both happily and well acquainted & comfortably gaining more & more in due time on the very MUCH all but miles, and miles of memorizing landscape, and each business within it, matching the view was the Indiana's made us feel welcomed, right at home. Learning that outta each day had something good to offer, and was a teachable & a life lesson to hold onto. We spent every moment possible together making many more,1st & last of many to come of new & unknown and uncharted territory as memorable, life lived & loved we prayed regularly, and worked hard, so we got some playtime which we played even harder!! Days of Rest as we are testing our resting hearts felt more together, connected & closer than ever! Opinion being very much a well loved & excited trips and places yet. and even made a few new friends we had the honor of meeting & knowing while the stay there! We highly recommend the parts of Indiana we got to come & get to know, there's something for everybody,!!
We used to have such a great fair but the last 2 years have been very disappointing. We really hoped the Exposition Hall would have the vendors back in it since the Swine barn is now complete. Unfortunately it was full of rabbits not vendors. In fact, there are very few vendors compared to what their used to be and they are all just crowded into random buildings versus being grouped in the same area. We also didn't appreciate that several buildings and exhibits closed much earlier than they have in the past. There are also far fewer interesting things to do than there used to be. They say fool me once shame on you and fool me twice shame on me... they definitely got me twice so shame on me, but they definitely won't get me a third time because I will not be going back. It is a complete waste of time and money. It's too bad they don't do things like they used to.
Had a great time at the Indiana State Fair, but am too old for the Midway. The LEGO displays were phenominal in the Harvest Pavilion, I learned that Butterflies like oranges ( Butterfly display at the Conservation Center), and I always enjoy walking around and looking at the newest, latest and greatest in the EXPO HALL where I saw a Flag Pole I wanted. It is not always what you see at the fair, but what people miss. Check out my pictures near the Conservation area around the Butterfly display.
This place is decent, it gets overly packed on weekends and is hard to maneuver around with a stroller. Lines will be SUPER long with up to a hundred if not more people in line for one ride, not enough benches to sit on, it's as I'd they kept the seat minimal. And as for restrooms, there aren't any bathrooms after buildings close. For days it gets crowded they need to enforce masks considering you're shoulder swiping everyone you pass by because it's so overcrowded and overwhelming.
The fair is becoming for the folks with good income. They took the armband away except for certain days now . So if you have a lot of kids they'll be disappointed to not be able to ride lots of rides how greedy is that. Also wanted to buy a lemonade and seen that a small one was $8. Please don't be disabled and unable to walk thru it because renting a scooter will cost you $65. Nowhere else chargers that much for a scooter . So thumbs down for the fair this year .
Had a great time with my girls! My family goes every year, sometimes twice! Good fun, loved the circus, rides of course, although some of the staff including the food stand workers were pretty rude, and nasty! Overall, the free concert, and the joy my girls get from the all day wristbands keeps me coming back year after year! I only wish they would be a little more diverse, we typically only get one soul or R&B group a year which is just not enough!
I'm going too be giving this a 1 star because after going to 5 ticket booths this afternoon an being told they were no longer gonna be selling tickets at 4 in the afternoon we decided to leave an after doing everything else other then riding rides with my 3 yr old they decided to Change there mind an we saw 2 ticket booths open back up on our way out nearly 2 hours later -_- so I'll be giving this a 1 star for bad service and unaware staffing
We stopped at the fair grounds to see the art show. We have never been to the fair grounds before and it was a little hard to find an entrance with an open gate. Google wasn't very helpful. Once we got in there was plenty of parking close to the venue. The art show was nice. There were some really great artists! The event was a little overwhelmed by craft foods though. I enjoyed everything and will probably go to the show next year.
Spent $40 per wristband and we waited 25 minutes in line when we got up there they told us it was cash only which there were no signs on the stand we went to. They never told us there was a time limit on them so we only got two hours of rides before they told us they’re no longer valid (5 rides!) So unfortunate and won’t be returning to the state fair again.
Fried everything, overpriced. I had a 1 inch knife on my key chain. It was a mini Swiss army knife. Scissors, finger nail file , screw driver. Ridiculous the guy said I had to take it to my cast or throw it away. I placed it in some bushes. When I got around the corner, I watched him go to the bushes and steal my knife. I will not be back, what a scam.
I love the State Fair. Always find unique foods to eat. Love looking thru the buildings for new products and stuff for my home. Prices are definitely high which I’m sure makes it hard for families to go and enjoy. They should have price for car loads and no parking price make it affordable for people. Already spending a fortune inside. More
The pioneer village is a must see. Best food buys are in midway. Beef and pork association booths a poor value. 14 dollar for a small beef bratwurst, chips and drink. Large pork tenderloin with full makes bar great deal!

It's a nice event for kids ages 4 to 9. Bigger kids have only 5 rides nowadays. It's been declining since 2019 while the price for everything been hiking up ever since. Food quality is high though so that's a plus.

We loved it! There were rides for all ages. Also they had sooo many different food options, and beverage options. They also had many different pop up tents set up, they had several different shows going on. They also had a trolley that go around the whole fair and you can get off and on whenever you want for free.
It was amazing the food the rides was not too fond that most of the rides were a 2 person ride I have 1 son and would have to get another wrist band and ride with him on top of the pricey food. Big waste of money because all the games are rigged but as long as my son was happy enjoyed the animals and the lights.
I was not aware, that the prices for was so high. Turkey Legs $15. I could not find fried vegetables,or . most of the places I'm used to go to every time I went in the past. We survived the heat, they had covered places to sit and eat or just out of the sun. Just be aware of the cost
Man everything was great on this day. However the waitin to get thu the metal detector was not fun! Having to basicly strip to enter was different however with all the mass shootings goin on!! I GET IT! GREAT TIME, GREAT FOOD GREAT COMPANY WITH MY GIRL EMILY SUZANNE. 5 STARS!!
Would highly recommend for old and young. Something for everyone. Great place to show kids where their food comes from. Avoid the carnival food and eat at the pork or beef concessions and the dairy booths. Learn about past farming operations. Plenty of free entertainment.
Had a great time. People were friendly and there was way too many food stands. Only bad thing I can think of was that the different areas weren't labeled except for on a pocket map you needed to pick up at the information center. Other than that it was a blast!
Had a wonderful time. We got there when just opened and was not a lot of people in line for rides. Food was great!! Was only upset that wrist bands couldn't be purchased for that day. I feel like they should be offered everyday the fair is open.
Always love the fair, considering amount of people trash is well taken care of and something for the whole family, can park in the middle of it all so convenient to get any where on a very large property. Always improving buildings and venues.
This was my first year ever visiting the fair and it was an absolute blast. Can't wait to go again. Such a wide variety of fair food and many great root beer and lemonade options which I loved. The ride tickets were reasonably priced and we
It rained 2 hours after paying $66 for entry and parking fees the closed the fair down completely! No refunds or discounts to come back another day. Nothing new or exciting to try or eat! Don't really like or care for pickle pizza. Never
Great fair atmosphere. Good variety of food, rides, events and exhibits for everyone. Food is pricey!

1st time in a few years going but definitely had a great time Kids loved the rides & the food was very good. We were so impressed at how clean everything was. I only found one bathroom that could have used some attention.
Really excited, my first time going in 36yrs, had so much fun and the food was really delicious I had the steak tips, I played lottery and had homemade ice cream, will go back next year to ride the ride and play games
Good day at the fair. There is something here for everyone. Rides, food, exhibitions, shopping this is a State Fair that runs 24 days. It’s a little pricey but a real good place to relax and have fun for a day.
We're staying at the RV campground inside the fairgrounds and it's pretty quiet and clean and no one bothers us. The only downside is the entrance and exit is kinda irritating to navigate but not to bad.
I like the variety of things to do. They now allow adults to get a beer and take it as you walk the Midway. 2019 was the first year they allowed it and I didn't notice anyone drunk that did have beer.
Family and friends are the most importan in this place, I was very happy because I had the opportunity to remember my childhood. God bless Indianapolis. And the magical people from that City.
Terribly hot not only that they had the young ride split from the adult rides so we had to walk from one end of the park to the other, would be nice if you just have all the rides in one spot.
I really love this time of year I took my children here and we had a blast thank you so much for providing Indianapolis Indiana for such a wonderful environment and fun rides for the kids
My family and I love these rides but wouldn't let my daughter ride with her brother alone on some of the rides or they would switch people and not let them ride because he was too short.
I mean, it is a State fair! Always interesting... people watching, things to see, yummy fair food. Giant tenderloin, corn dogs, funnel cake, kettle corn. Lemon shake up .....
For parking and wristbands, they had my family of 4 in for $200 before even stepping foot on a ride. Was fun but not nearly worth the price. Likely will not return next year.
This was super fun and worth it! I won a bright pink dragon at one of the games. My favorite part was the circus and I'll definitely be back with my family again next year!
Huge selection of rides and new things are added this year. Prices (or amounts of tickets) seem pretty high, even for the kiddie rides.... Let the kids enjoy the rides.
I always love the fair. But, this year, I didn't see one train ride. Plus, no log ride. But, $2 Tuesday was good, but long lines. But, yes...we had a great time!
Overcrowded and overpriced. There's not much you can do except eat really expensive food, see your family, enter pointless raffles, and buy expensive merchandise
I was at the Indiana Dance stage

Amazing experience, clean safe experience for the family. Highly recommend the wristband, all you can ride for a set price.
Saw Air Supply it was Awesome. Wished the people wouldn't stand in front of you so you can't see. Food prices were too high
This was fun super over priced but fun make sure you got time and some extra cash the fair isnt cheep unless its Tuesday
Always love the State Fair. There's always something new that I learn or see. Double Decker Merry Go Round this year!
First time I’ve been to the state fair in years and all my sons were working there!! It was def a fun time for sure!!
Place has alot. Food optiins. And free thungs to take home. A ballance of fun and learning as well. And entertainment
The fair food options were awesome! We have the most amazing midway experience in the country. Nothing to be missed!
We always have an amazing time when we go. There is something for everyone and sometimes things you didn't expect.
I camped here on a road trip. There was a bubble run and a mini stock car racing ask about events before you book
Great spot for kids, definitely is worth it to visit . In the buildings so much interested thinks to learn.
I loved they checked you at the entrance! Great food, fun and service!!!! Cannot wait to go next year!!!
Plenty of great food vendors. And the free rides on the tractors were a plus considering how hot it was.
I was there parking trailers for the Bef Congress. Great time working with the best local farmers.
More rules and restrictions ever year. Do not feel safe having to walk through a metal detector.
Best fair food that I've ever had! My girlfriend and I had a great time here this past Thursday!
Great fun place my baby had the best time arm bans are the best choice I won a giant lama …
Nice the state fair and the rides for the kid they had a lot of food but the price to high.
Fun for everyone ,just a bit expensive ,and even if you have tickets parking is not covered
Had alot of booths to look in an but things an alot of different good booths to choose from
Great food, awesome scenery, great entertainment and a great experience I come every year.
There is a separate area for little ones to ride the rides. Found this out after the fact.
Went here for the synchronized Christmas lights & had a lot of fun! Well worth the price!
It was Fun lots of things for our family to do & they really enjoyed the food & animals !
Great time to enjoy some leisure time, a lot of different food this year! #indystatefair

Hanging out with my friend and his horses and helping him work on his water heater
Indy 1500 guns show i go every time they are in indy can usually find great deals
Went to the light show, it was a long wait to get in, but definitely worth it.
I got yelled at four times in twenty minutes or so from four different workers
Fairgrounds camping. Full hookup. Open all year. Some sites a bit unlevel.
Love working the fair with our Indiana Lion Foundation. Always a fun time!
The Indians started Fair is an amazing experience for everyone of all ages
Best place to be this summer!! Come stop by Leon's Breakaway Outfitters!!!
Lots to see and do during state fair time. 4h building is really great.
Some area very educational and farming. Others excellent for children.
Got to see a lot of old model cars that had been cleaned and modified
Great reptile show! Grounds were clean and staff was easy. Thank you
Good rides and food but the games dont have much variety for prizes.
Love this place. Incredible rides and friendly staff. So much fun!!
It's time for the Indiana beef convention. December 3rd 4th and 5th
There are multiple event halls and the place is clean and spacious.
Great place to take grandkids! Lots of things to see and visit.
Very nice all the fun ride with the kids on the amusement park

Always interesting. Many vendors and food places. Lots of fun
Had a great time..I met Roman Reigns and got his autograph..
It's was fun, exciting and good food. We have a great time.
The rides cost way too much but loved the rest of the fair
Tiny space, noisy, cracker barrel is as nice and cheaper
