Our cat-daughter, Sophia, was a patient at Inwood Animal Clinic for many years until she had to be put down just shy of her 17th birthday in April 2021. Sophia was assigned to Dr. Jennifer Tsung as her primary vet. At first, Dr. Tsung saw her many times until they shifted their policy to assigning whatever vet was in-office that day. This resulted in a carousel of providers who saw Sophia over the years, often with very little knowledge of her health history or our concerns, which we would have to explain on the spot. This happened many times. The office is small and the waiting room often crowded. Our wait times with Sophia were very unpredictable, ranging from 5 mins to an hour. At one visit in the last year of her life, the office was so chaotic that instead of obtaining a urine sample from Sophia on-site, we were sent home with a collection kit. This was incredibly inconvenient and ultimately, they rejected the sample we gave them, requesting that she come into the office again, still charging us for all these services. But the lack of empathy is really what is most troubling about this practice. In the last 6 months of her life, Sophia took a more dramatic turn in her need for care from a lymphatic cancer affecting the lining of her intestine. We spoke with Dr. Tsung over the phone several times to order medicines or ask advice at certain stages. Dr. Tsung also called us unsolicited in Sophia’s final month to pressure us that we “should really put her down” even though Sophia was showing no signs of pain. Dr. Tsung seemed readily available. That availability was abruptly cut off during and after the trauma of finally putting Sophia down after a weekend when she was clearly now expressing her pain. Losing our cat-daughter through that process, although an expected progression for a senior cat, was so devastating. Sophia was put down on a Sunday afternoon by a young male vet we had never met before. He was compassionate and communicated clearly. After 12 years as Sophia’s vet, Dr. Tsung never contacted us to recognize Sophia’s death, something we had talked about with her so often in that last year. Instead, a couple days later we got a generic card from the practice. I’ve included a picture of it here so you can see that the sentiment on the front makes NO sense, clearly a printing mistake or maybe a batch they got at deep discount. Whatever the circumstance, no one at Inwood Animal Clinic even bothered to pay enough attention to this ridiculous card when communicating with us at the most sensitive time in our journey with our pet. This reflects a deep level of carelessness, chaos, and disrespect at the clinic towards its patients and their families. When we’re ready to get a pet again, we will be going to a different neighborhood for care, unless a competing practice opens nearby. I certainly hope so.

Title: "A Canine Catastrophe - Avoid at All Costs!" My recent experience with this dog groomer was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my unfortunate tale of woe. If you love your furry friend, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this abysmal excuse for a grooming establishment. Upon entering, the place reeked of a peculiar combination of cheap air freshener and damp dog. The ambiance screamed neglect, with outdated magazines scattered across peeling vinyl chairs and an unsettlingly disorganized reception desk manned by a seemingly disinterested employee. It was a harbinger of the chaos to come. The so-called "professional groomers" were an unenthusiastic bunch, displaying an alarming lack of passion for their supposed craft. I had specifically requested a simple bath and nail trim for my dog, but it seems these instructions were too complex for them to comprehend. To my dismay, when I picked up my poor pet, they looked more like a disheveled mop than a well-groomed dog. It was evident that the groomer had taken a laissez-faire approach to their task, leaving tufts of fur unevenly trimmed and nails still resembling miniature talons. It was as if they were attempting avant-garde abstract art on my unsuspecting canine companion. What's worse, my dog seemed traumatized by the experience. The groomer's apparent lack of care and gentle handling left my once-happy pup anxious and skittish. It's heartbreaking to see the impact of such negligence on an innocent animal. And let's not even delve into the billing debacle. The charges were astronomical, far beyond what any sane person would consider reasonable for the horror show my dog had endured. In conclusion, entrusting your precious pet to this dog groomer is akin to subjecting them to a canine horror film. Save yourself the heartache, keep your money in your wallet, and find a groomer who values professionalism, competence, and, most importantly, the well-being of your furry family member. This establishment is a canine catastrophe waiting to happen.

THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG LABS RESULTS!!! I took my baby Milo for a routine dental cleaning and paid the deposit of $479.00. Dr, Jennifer Tsung said that we need to wait for the blood work to see if he can go on anesthesia. She called me saying that HIS LIVER WAS BORDERLINE! and that we could wait until he gets better or go ahead and she will use another anesthesia. Of course, I freaked out since my 3-year-old baby Milo had never been seriously sick before; I told her that would ask my husband and we decided not to do it. SHE CALLED BACK SAYING THAT SHE GAVE ME THE WRONG RESULTS CAUSE THERE WAS ANOTHER MILO IN THE CLINIC!! At this point, she lost my trust and I kept telling her that we wouldn't do it; she said that they ALREADY STARTED!! when I asked "WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION AFTER I SPECIFICALLY TOLD YOU TO WAIT? she said "let me see what I can do" I drove right back to the clinic to pick up my baby and a nice lady named Heather took me to the last room to apologize and offered to reimburse the total amount charged, but when I went to the front desk they had a different story; Only $223 will be reimburse since they are still charging me for the visit and the blood work that Heather said will be refunded as a apology for the inconvenient. Then she also changed her story saying that only the procedure charges would be refunded. (a procedure that wasn't done). Could you imagine that my dog labs went to a really sick one and they did something on it by mistake? That other dog could be dead now. What a shame to lose a good client like us for over 3 years for a mistake that they made and didn't want to take full responsibility for their acts honoring the refund offered. Just be careful with your pets, cause the wrong labs can cause many issues and bring sadness to your family.

Title: "Worst Grooming Experience Ever!" Rating: ⭐️ I recently took my beloved furry friend to what I thought was a reputable dog groomer, and let me tell you, it was an absolute disaster! I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. Firstly, the place was a mess. It looked like a tornado had hit a flea market, with dog hair scattered everywhere. I had to practically tiptoe through the fur-laden minefield just to reach the front desk. The receptionist seemed disinterested, probably because she's used to dealing with irate customers like me. Now, let's talk about the grooming itself. His name is "LUCKY". I asked for a simple trim, but it seems like the groomer misunderstood the concept of "trimming." My poor pooch came out looking like a mangy rat with patches of uneven fur. It's as if the groomer had taken a blindfolded approach to their craft. I could have done a better job with a pair of safety scissors and a YouTube tutorial. But the pièce de résistance was the smell. I don't know what kind of shampoo they used, but my dog came back smelling like a mix of wet socks and week-old leftovers. It was so bad that even my normally affectionate neighbors recoiled when I tried to introduce my dog to them. To add insult to injury, the groomer had the audacity to charge an exorbitant fee for this abysmal service. I've never felt so ripped off in my life. In conclusion, unless you want your dog to look like a science experiment gone wrong, smell like a dumpster, and pay top dollar for the privilege, steer clear of this so-called "dog groomer." Save yourself the headache and find a professional who actually knows what they're doing. I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone's four-legged friend.

Please find a different vet, it will probably save your pup’s life! My pup injured his dew claw. It took a week for me to be able to get an appointment with IAC. During this week wait, I spoke with two different customer service reps who confirmed my appointment and asked about his last round of shots. I let them know he has his shots and the certificate, they say ok it can be emailed the day of. Appointment day comes and they are REFUSING SERVICE stating my pups profile is INACTIVE. I ask how and why and they state that it’s because I went to get his shots elsewhere. I’m in the office with an injured pup, bandaged up and in pain and you are refusing service because he didn’t get his shots from you?! He has the shots all up to date and the certificate but because it wasn’t from your office and I didn’t spend $327 again, he cannot be serviced? If you only service animals who get shots from you why was this not stated upon booking my appointment? IAC does not care for the well being of our fur babies, they care about money! I’m glad the waiting room was packed and all the other pet owners were able to hear and see how poorly they were treating my pup, some even left. It’s sad how my pup had to wait a week just to be denied service for an injury that is very serious. Shame on IAC and shame on the owner who I was told, is responsible for deactivating his account. Please go elsewhere! This speaks volume about their devotion to animal care. No matter how far, the treatment will be better. I just feel really bad for my pup because I initially planned on going to a new vet for an earlier appointment but decided to wait and go to IAC just to for him to be denied care.

It took my husband and I 6 months to understand that Inwood Animal Clinic couldn't care less for the wellbeing of our two cats. Their vets will go to great lengths to avoid speaking to you, pet parents, though they won't hesitate to charge you full vet honoraries, and technicians will be charged to deliver the vet's diagnostic. Needless to say that their diagnostics, made without any prior exchange with the pet's parents, are very often inaccurate. One day, without any prior consultation with us or any kind of test, they declared that one of our cats was allergic to its food, and they recommended we switch to a prescription diet that costs 3 times what we currently pay. Turns out, our cat wasn't allergic at all to her usual. Of course, no apologies followed. The last time I went there, I brought with me a stool sample, from one of our cats, which I suspected might be bloody. I asked the staff at the front desk if a vet could look at it and confirm whether the stool was bloody or not, and whether I needed to bring my cat in or not. I was charged $89. Four days later, I was notified that no parasite had been detected in the sample. When I asked about the blood, my interlocutor went silent. When I spoke to a manager, no apologies or reimbursement was offered. Instead, I've been advised "going forward, to ask the front desk staff to repeat my demands, to ensure that these were well understood." In other words, I was the only one to blame for what happened. There are plenty of vets in NYC who love their job and do it very well. Your pets deserve better than what Inwood Animal Clinic has to offer.

This is not the first time we been at Inwood animal clinic. Both of my dogs have been at there care for years. Last Saturday November 27 I took them for some vaccinations and grooming , when we went back to pick them up we were very dissatisfied with the services we received because they did not cut the hair correctly. We spoke with someone at the clinic and we explain the inconvenience and that person said that it was okay to bring them the upcoming Friday and Saturday. Today Friday the 3 we brought both of my dogs because they will fix the haircut. We arrive at 10 am and the appointment was at 1pm but they decided to take them because it was okay. After hours of waiting they call saying they are not able to do anything because I need it to pay extra after they agree to fix it because that was not my fault. How is it that they have each of my pets profiles and they put someone else to do the grooming and on top of that they don't even get it right. Honestly we am very disappointed and it is not fair that we pay the amount and the dogs looks exactly the same way we brought them. On top of that we wasted hours of waiting for literally nothing because the staff in charge of grooming need it me to pay extra money for a mistake that I did not make. Next time do better because it is not fair at all and this things should not happen especially when I have been going there with my dogs for years. DO BETTER and organize your staff as you clearly said I was sending pictures of my dogs and talking to someone who is not from the clinic.

Honestly, I call it "paying for convenience," but after a while, it's too much. Their prices are outrageous & it's very strange how they dont have set fees. The "doctor" decides how much the services will total to. I got my boy cat neutered & after about a week of him being home he started peeing on the floor nonstop. Refused to use the litter box. They sent him home with blood dripping out of his incision, which I've had 2 boys neutered before & none of them bled after the procedure. They kept saying the stitches were coming apart. $700 spent to get him neutered and a follow up visit to determine if he had a UTI post op was another $200. It's ridiculous how money hungry these people are. I do not recommend unless you have the funds to waste. If you go to riverdale vet, aspca in the city, it will cost you pennies compared to this place. I've spent over $4,000 between follow ups, surgeries and they couldn't do a urine sample (in house) for free. Even recommended two other households with 2+ cats (they also spent $1000s). The female doctor (asian) is a shark. Doesn't care what problem you have and wants to charge the maximum amt + extra fees. Tried to give me double the meds but couldn't explain why it was necessary... & intentionally withhold cheaper options. I found out if it was done in house the urine sample would've been $80. Had I gone to another clinic it would've been no more than $40. It's ridiculous

This is my first and only vet so far so my review is limited to my experience. However, we are very happy with the service. We have a puppy of 3.5 months now and so far we found them always very kind and professional. Even if it is very busy, we never waited more than 10-15 min before seeing the doctor and we usually arrive before the appointment time. The vet (Dr Kevin Shimel) is very nice, answers always all my questions (I'm an anxious pawrent) and recognizes her every time, so we don't feel like numbers. The other personnel is always kind and they even taught me how to clip her nails (and clipped them for free). After every visit, that day and the day after they call me to make sure the puppy is ok. They created an account for our puppy on the PetDesk app, where we receive appointment reminders, we can check her medical history and schedule new appointments. Simple but very practical. About the prices, every visit is $51 baseline, plus the add ons for specific treatments. So far for my puppy, $35 every different shot (often a couple each time), $36 fecal analysis and different prices for other drugs. The prices of the drugs, like NexGard and Interceptor Plus, are some cheaper than on the internet, sometimes more expensive, so I suggest checking the prices before going to pay. The place is under renovation so I expect soon it will be much more spacious.

Please understand that I'm not complaining about staff or treatment, this is about pricing and being overcharged. My dog was scheduled for Lumpectomy Surgery, however the week before the tumor had completely fallen off I left a hole in her leg. The surgery was no longer needed but she did need stitches. The price of the surgery is $375, had my dog received this I'd have no problem but there was no surgery done to remove any lump she only got stitches on top of that the doctor Jennifer Tsung tried to use wordplay and pretend that the Lumpectomy was the same as leg stitches. They will take advantage of you due to the fact you are not a vet and do not know their lingo. I was not explained what any of the terms were or what exactly it was that was represented to me on the estimate sheet. They just tell you that the dog needs it or that the animal needs it That's all they say. Either way nobody should be charged for a procedure that was never done. You're not going to tell me a lumpectomy is the same as leg stitches and that they cost the same price. I understand this place might be local for most of you but just be aware they will take advantage of your wallets and your pain, I have all the documents to prove this.

August 2023–today the day came that every pet owner dreads: I had to say goodbye to my sweet boy kitty Jordan. Dr. Tsung and company had cared for him for the last eight years, and cried with me as we put him out of his final illness. I am so thankful to have a long term relationship with such caring professionals. August 2022–Our rescue Sweetpea made her debut at Inwood Animal Clinic today! My wife and I moved to the far north Bronx three years ago, but we are happy to keep coming back because of the great veterinarians and techs. === My first two visits to Inwood Animal Clinic were on an emergency basis, first to have a sick elderly cat evaluated and then to euthanize her. Drs. Fried and Tsung were very compassionate and clear, and they made a very sad goodbye bearable. A couple of weeks later, I adopted two new cats, adult males, and brought them in for a "well-cat" visit. Dr. Shimel was encouraging and charming, and took his time with both kitties. I am very pleased to have become a client. (My cats aren't pleased about trips in the carrier, but I will assume they are pleased as well ;) )

I brought my miniature Dachshund puppy (Chance) to get his vaccinations and check up. The staff here are VERY professional, welcoming, and patiently explained ANYTHING I needed clarification. The waiting time to be seen AFTER I arrived for my scheduled appointment was not long. Both Veterinarians that Chance saw were great. I felt as if the staff members I encountered REALLY understand how much People, such as myself, love our 4 legged family members. HOWEVER, it is due to this that the prices they charge are sometimes ridiculously high. For instance, if you attempt to do a same day cancelation; regardless if you call 4 hours ahead of your scheduled appointment, they will charge you a $30 same day cancelation fee. Also, they charge $75 just to bathe your dog, which is significantly more than other places and it isn't like they're bathing your pooch in scented oils. The pricing for "some" services, especially their $30 same day cancelation fee, makes you feel like you're being taken advantage of because they know that pet owners will pay because of the love you have for your pet.

I waited 4 hours to get my Yorkshire terrier groomed. It wasn’t even done well. Made my appointment for noon (aware grooming takes 2 hours per dog). The lady ( I believe named Roxanne) rudely tells me that if I do not want to wait that long then I should schedule appointment earlier as 9 am. Thankfully I have my morals and I am able to control myself but such attitude and character I DO NOT tolerate from anybody. I know at what time I schedule my appointment and by what time my dog should have been done with grooming. Get yourself together Inwood animal clinic. 1. Your system or grooming time slots should not allow people to find slots available if the groomer won’t be done with the pet 2 hours before. You guys should change that. It’s not rocket science. Making people waste their time and money! 2. Charging a small Yorkshire terrier up to 100 dollars for grooming is ridiculous, even more when not done correctly. 3. Speak to your groomer employees for better customer service because they will one day face someone who will NOT tolerate their behavior. Very disappointed.

UPDATE: We’ve since gotten a puppy and we of course started our care here. Why wouldn’t we? The care we received with our kitten was second to none. And the care with our puppy is already world class. My kitten was not a patient at this clinic, but when our usual vet was unable to see us, I called Inwood Animal Clinic on a Saturday and they made an appointment for us. We saw Dr. Schimel and he was spectacular - very straight forward and to the point but definitely has a wonderful bedside manner. Our kitten was quite ill and Dr. Schimel made it clear what tests were needed and what the best path forward would be. We received several calls in the coming week from the office regarding lab test results. While we eventually had to put our kitten to sleep, Dr Schimel and the entire staff was wonderful, caring, compassionate, and understanding. They made a very terrible process much easier (and affordable). I cannot recommend these fine folks highly enough. They are truly amazing.

Inwood Animal Clinic was the most recommended veterinarian among the neighborhood dog park community, and they (and Dr. Carrie Mann) didn't disappoint. Everyone clearly loves animals, and they took time to get to know me and Indy and answer all of my questions about middle aged dog healthcare. Prices are comparable to my old veterinarian in Brooklyn, which is to say, much more expensive than the rural vets that we went to when we lived in Iowa and Virginia, but certainly competitive for NYC. I also appreciated that they gave me estimates of how much things would cost, and gave honest feedback about what tests were really necessary vs. what we could just wait and see about. The waiting area is a little small and can get crowded (and complicated if your dog isn't cat friendly or great with all dogs), but that was my only minor issue. The facility was clean and seemed well managed.

This Review is Long-Overdue! I've been using the Innwood Animal Clinic for a few years now & have only had the Very Best Experiences. Was just there with my Poodle La La for her Vaccinations. I was told to arrive a little early (and I did). I was taken at the exact Appointment-Time that was Scheduled. The Vet was wonderful & knowledgeable (and imparted that knowledge to his Assistant). The entire Staff couldn't be more accommodating from the moment you walk in to when you leave their Facility. I actually had difficulty getting a Taxi to go Home & a member of the Front-Desk called a Taxi for me (and they called the next Day to make sure my Dog tolerated her Vaccines well). Also, the price they quote is the price you pay. If you're looking for a new Veterinarian this is the Place for you. Thanx to All...xo

I was at this clinic today. I had to make a second trip there today, after I was there with my cat yesterday because they failed to give me the results of my cats fiv test and register my cat’s microchip. The woman/receptionist was extremely rude, unprofessional and had a very vicious attitude. I cannot believe anyone would hire her. The manager was also extremely rude vicious unprofessional and disrespectful. They both seemed to have superiority complexes. I would not recommend anyone going there. And I wasn’t too crazy about the doctors attitude and seemed to know just as much as he did. I’m happy to go to another veterinarian. I’m really shocked that the place has so many great reviews and was so crowded when I was there yesterday and today with customers/patients.

EDIT MY FIRST EXPERIENCE HERE WAS GREAT. CAME BACK ABOUT A YEAR LATER FOR A REGULAR CAT GROOMING AND NOT LONG STORY SHORT MY CAT WAS NEVER THE SAME, SHE ENDED UP DYING SHORTLY AFTER. NOT ONLY DID THEY NOT USE ANY ANESTHESIA BUT THEY DROPPED HER ON HER HEAD I LATER FOUND OUT. STILL CHARGED FOR THE ANESTHESIA. ALSO THE GROOMER SPOKE NO ENGLISH GAVE ME THE WRONG INSTRUCTIONS - TRAGIC . I AM STILL SUFFERING FROM MY LOSS. This place has a very caring and friendly staff and they really care for their animal patients as well as their owners! They call after to make sure your pet is doing well more than once! I will definitely be bringing my pets here from now on. It's so hard to find a really good place that cares more about the animals than just making money.

  • Isabelle-Maria Arusilor

I went there for an emergency appointment with my dog who was throwing up and being pretty unresponsive. I got sent home with a bunch of unnecessary products including cans of dog food, and hydration fluid FOR CATS. Following a bill of over 400 dollars and a diagnostic of vestibular syndrome, the vet told me that she was not even sure of the diagnosis and that it could in fact also be Pyometra. I thus did not feel reassured by the care that they provided, and was confused by the final bill which came with many unexpected and unannounced costs. I have since been bringing my dog to City Veterinary Care, where the team has offered much more satisfactory care with excellent communication and no hidden extra costs.

  • Julissa Fermin

The doctor and assistant to the vet weee amazing. They treated my furry babies with patience, knowledge and care. Their clinic is open 7 days a week and appointments are easily available. My only issue is the following: the person at the front desk it’s not the most reliable. We were there last week Sunday, I requested the medical records for insurance purposes, I was told I would get them by the end of the day. Today is being a week after the visit and I am still waiting on the medical records. It’s disappointing that you asked for paperwork that should be provided as you leave the clinic. If they fix that I would give them a 5 star rating.

  • Maria Pineda

I loveee Inwood Animal Clinic. I used to go to a vet in the Bronx that wouldn’t let me enter the room with my pet and would rush me out but total opposite with Inwood. Reception are so nice I’ve called just for simple questions and they have always answered me. The vet techs and vets are not judgmental at all and always ask me for permission to proceed with things like extra test and always let me know the cost before going forward. Makes me feel good knowing they’re not just in it for the money. They’re super honest and helpful would never go to another place besides here.

  • Kyley Ripley

We use Inwood animal clinic for our beloved cat, the vet services are absolutely excellent and I could not recommend them enough, the doctors and techs here are attentive, caring, and professional. However, do not take your pets here for grooming. They charged us $185 to shave our cat, and we felt that the groomer was holding our senior cat roughly in the photos that were sent to us which made me sad. The bill breakdown was $130 base rate for the shave, $25 dematting fee, $30 handling fee. TLDR: veterinary services here are excellent, but avoid using the grooming side.

  • Omayra Batista

DO NOT take your pup for grooming services here! Not only did they try to overcharge me, but they did a TERRIBLE job. Stick to vet services ONLY! My dog was matted and before the appointment, we agreed to shave him down completely. When we picked him up, the bill came back for $185!!!! They tried to charge an additional dematting fee (which should not have been the case because we told them to SHAVE the dog entirely). They do not even know what "dematting" means. They are thieves and the groomer frankly is inexperienced and rude!! Do not recommend at all!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yesenia Garcia

Doctors and overall staff are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly. And best of all they treat my pets if they were their own. I’m always pleased with their service provided. And I always receive a follow up call after each appointment which shows they really care about my pets. Thank you so much for your service. They genuinely care about the pets and not the money like other vets I visited in the past and never went back. I highly recommend Inwood Animal Clinic !!

  • Jon Detrow

A neighbor recommended the clinic and Dr. Tsung for our 13-year-old Airedale, who was starting to fail. So we transferred her records from an Upstate vet near our daughter. We're so glad we did. We had to say goodbye to Millie this morning and the receptionist worked us in on short notice. Three people were with us in the examination room and all were wonderful -- explaining the situation with clarity and compassion. I feel confident you would get an excellent well-pet visit from this team.

They saved my cat’s life. I have been going to Inwood Animal Clinic since 2020 and have had a great experience. This past week, my cat was lethargic and they were able to fit him in for a same day appointment and quickly realized he was very ill. They also offered to hospitalize him at the clinic for the day - and they literally saved him. We are so grateful for their care - special shout out to Dr. Tsung who was very hands on with his care. I don’t trust anyone else with my babies.

  • Brigitta Danyi

For Dr. Tsung million thanks for the surgery, for the humanity, for the emergency, for the first phone call at the morning ,for the postcard! We was looking a special surgeon who able to do the surgery asap on my baby. I made million phone calls, but she was the only one who called me back and set up the surgery for the next day 8am I wish to find her earlier, (our vet clinic doctor she helped to find her) if your baby need help just make an appointment she will be there!

  • Jackeline

Dr. Soo was very kind when my lovely German Shepherd passed away they gave me the time to grieve and cry with my family! After a Year my sweet cat Faraon was very sick and she kindly offer to put something to make him not suffer so he died peacefully at home. She has treated my other cats as well and I'm very happy so far with this place. They are very humane they don't see just money they see you and respect you! Highly recommend this place!

  • Zay'P The IAm

Busy... the entry bottle necks and gets uncomfortable woth so many ppl and pets waiting ... flip side of that is, it's a by product of being so popular, because theyre good at what the do, and the best, most conveinct locally. Once u get in, the staff treata u and gets you through you session, like a typical Drs appt... and youll leave with some knowledge of your pets condition and the resources necessary to deal with them

  • Dee

Thank you Inwood!!!! I Highly Recommend this clinic! Dr.Tsung saved my dogs life! She did emergency same day surgery for my baby! My dog had less than 24 hours to live. Dr. Tsung’s staff were super supportive, caring and professionally answered all my questions during the intake process and post surgery process! Clinical team members were excellent towards me during this terrible scary situation. Shout out to Ryan!!!!

  • Jennifer Fouche

We've been taking our cats to Inwood Animal Clinic for almost 10 years. We really appreciate that my husband was able to stay with our cat the entire time, her recent shots. We also greatly appreciated the call to check on her, the following day. When our little Meeko died, we got a sympathy card from the vet and it meant so much. We love this clinic and we feel so grateful to have them taking care of our fur babies!

  • ZULEIDA CAPELLAN

I came afraid because of my last experience in another place. As I walk in I felt at ease. This wasn’t my first time there but I went and try another place. I should of stay here. My dog felt different and he was playful with other dogs. People there are very welcome and nice with the human as well as the animals. I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants their babies well taking care of.

Dr. Shimel and Kim were amazing. It's always difficult for the pet (cat-) owner to hand-over one's beloved pets but I was impressed by the examination and diagnostic skills. Of course, for indoor-cats it is especially stressful to leave their environment and the waiting area was packed with dogs, many of them for grooming, which added an enormous amount of stress to my cats' experience.

  • Lily Green

The people who work here are so caring and wonderful. It has helped my anxiety with my elder cats health so much to have a vet where everyone goes above and beyond to care for our precious animal companions. They even called me multiple times after my cat had to have an uncomfortable procedure to check on how she was doing. Truly puts me at ease that this animal clinic exists.

  • Melissa joe Montano (Meldrin)

I have sent all 11 of my rescued dogs and cats to Inwood Animal Clinic for their veterinary needs. I am extremely pleased with the professional, friendly, and efficient service they provide for my beloved pets. I highly recommend their services, particularly Dr. Jen and the rest of her team. Kudos to all of you! I am truly grateful to have Inwood Vet Clinic in my life.

  • Janice McIntyre

The staff is so kind and patient and Dr. Ahn is wonderful. I took a stray kitten (emaciated and dehydrated) for a visit. Dr. Ahn was so mindful of the kitten’s needs while appreciating the costs of care. He came up with a multi step approach to treatment. My stomach is finally free of knots. Im confidently new little kitty, Prophet will fully recover.

Except for waiting an hour past my appointment time, I was extremely happy with my appointment. I had the vet's full attention, and the vet explained my dog's health problem and the list of options available to me and how much each of them would cost. I felt good about my decision to pay for the procedure, because I think my dog was in the best hands.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE ! Thank you for all you do. I was previously going to Riverdale Vet and let me tell you. There are just so many differences, I fell in love with the place the moment I walked in and talked to the receptionist. Everything from start to finish was phenomenal! Especially Jennifer!! She is amazing HIGHLY RECOMMEND !

  • Cassandra Rhoades

Seriously the best Vet location I’ve taken my dog to, uptown. Great pricing and accommodations. Started visiting in late ‘22, since day one the staff has always been super welcoming. I’ve seen 3 different doctors because of random senior dog issues, and all 3 veterinarians have been nothing short of amazing. Thanks Inwood animal clinic.

  • Wanda Yarrisa Sanchez

The best Vet I ever visit , he safe my chip life. I did not have an appointment. He did see me and put some IV to chip. He took me right away and sent me to the Emergency room. I follow up with him the following 3 days. I will continue coming to Inwood and friendly place . I have 3 dogs. I will be grooming my Max. Thank you

  • Glitchy x

Unhelpful, been going here for years had a recent experience that was the straw that broke the camels back. Unprofessional, unhelpful, and unreliable. I feel free finally leaving this clinic. I don’t care how far I have to go to the next nearest one. I would much gladly do that if it means I never have to come here again.

  • GeorgePina

DO NOT USE THIER GROOMING SERVICES!!! First of all the service was extremely overpriced, my cat got a bath and his nails trimmed and it was 200 dollars. My cat still had matting and knots after the service. All of that and his nails were all bloody from them cutting the nails incorrectly, extremely disappointed.

  • Liliana Castillo

The doctor and his assistant were very friendly to my dog . They treated him so well . It meant a lot to me . I had been to vet that they were all business and weren’t friendly to my dog . I highly recommend this place . I have a lot questions about his treatments and they took their time to answer me

  • Daniel Nieciecki

Everyone at Inwood Animal Clinic was very helpful and supportive to us as first-time puppy parents. We appreciated the flexibility in scheduling our appointment and the care and concern of the assistants and Dr. Kirk. We found the service comprehensive and informational and reasonably priced.

Been going to IAC since moving into WH in 2013 and never any issues. Fortunately, my previous pup and current adopted pup never had any issues going vet. VA was super diligent and noticed a discrepancy on vax papers from the shelter (3yr v 1yr) and quickly called shelter and had it sorted.

  • Angelique von Thun

The office is well run and staff are polite, efficient, accommodating and responsive. The vets are knowledgeable, generous with their time and expertise and care about your pet. Most human doctors' offices aren't this good. I moved out of the city but make the trip back in for vet care.

  • Jennifer Ramos

I am so happy to have found this place the office is really busy but staff do such a great job with accommodations and were so friendly and I was able to get an appointment same week I called which was great so I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone I know with pets!

  • Chezlindy

I love your clinic!! I think it's the ATTITUDE of people who work there. Also, all the pet art - I love the paintings in the waiting area, the hand-painted tiles in the exam room - those things make it feel personal and caring - which is what I feel your clinic is.

  • Nita Lim

Had an amazing experience at this Animal Clinic. Came here for a second opinion and was treated much better and spent more time with the VET. Dr.Kim was great at explaining everything and laid it all out for us. And also didn't surprise us with any charges.

  • Christine Buescher

They were very good to my cat. Told me Daisy was well behaved. They took a small sample of a tumour and called me within hours to tell me it is comprised of fat cells only. As long as she's not chewing at it, there's no reason to remove it, just yet.

  • Marlena Brown

I've been coming here six years with my dogs, both special needs. They have always provided excellent care and take the time to address my many concerns (I'm that dog mom). It's always wonderful to find providers who love your pet as much as you do.

  • Taylan Stulting

Everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. Dr. McConnell and all the techs assisting were all absolutely wonderful. I’m very grateful for how helpful they were with my cat acting out and still managing to get her exam done and her vaccines updated.

  • Jackie Gajda

Everyone here is always so kind to my cats. One of my cats has cerebellar hypoplasia and everyone there was well informed about her neurological condition. My other cat has FLUTD and has received appropriate and kind care, even in an emergency.

  • Johndri Vasquez

They helped out my son Coco ❤️. They have Coco all the care he needs, and I am delighted. You see Coco fell from the window to the basement. By the way, it was an apartment, and we lived on the 4th floor. It is a miracle, honestly. When I

  • V

We took our dog to this location with an eye infection, not only were the services very fairly priced, the receptionist and the doctor both personally called for follow ups to ensure my dog was getting better. We will absolutely be coming back

  • Ineftali R

Great service! Pleasant environment. The front desk clerks are always very courteous and respectful. I would give this clinic greater than a 10 if I could. Kudos to all, including the groomers who do a spectacular job with out dog. Thank you!

  • Brooke Arce

Amazing. I was extremely nervous. As going to the vet you instantly think expensive! The doctor was great. He answered all of my questions and I do not feel that anything was pushed on me or any unnecessary testing. Extremely affordable!

  • Diana Colon

Seems like they are trying to take your money. I called to get a quote for my mother's cat who is 2 years old to get spayed. They were not able to give me a price, not even a base price at that, said it "depends". Ok, so I attempted to

  • Mateo Porciuncula

The staff here is very professional and humane. Doctors have plenty of experience, are knowledgeable, and more importantly, they care about pets. I have been taking my dog here for months (including one serious incident) and they have

  • Evelise Liz

Loved my dog's grooming with Lucky. She always comes out looking really cute and smells amazing. I really appreciate how Lucky takes the time to snap all these photos of her. She's all ready for the holidays and I couldn't be happier.

  • K Cruz

Dr. Tsung is a very skilled, hands on and caring veterinarian. She is always on point with her diagnosis and treatment for our cat. The staff at the clinic are always friendly and helpful. I'm very pleased with Inwood Animal Clinic.

  • Kaitlyn Menegio-Stahl

Friendly and clean environment, which helped ease me and my kitten. The vet, Dr. Gregg Goldschlager, was knowledgable, attentive, and kind. I felt very confident and reassured in my decision to make this my kitten's new vet.

  • Kathleen Mallari

I loved how attentive they are to my pet after seeing her. I got check in calls as well as updates on her tests. Any question I had to the vet was relayed and answered within the same day. I loved the experience. Thank you.

  • Aimee Hall

I'm a new cat parent and was a little worried about our first trip to the vet, but it went so smoothly. The doctor was very thorough, kind, and explained things really well. I only had to wait 5 minutes or so to be seen.

  • Laurel Carpenter

A friend recommended your clinic and I was very happy with the warm, caring bedside manner of your staff when dealing with my cat Angelo. Will be returning again - so happy to find a local vet that we like so much.

  • Diser A

I've been taking my pets to Inwood Animal Clinic ever since it was just Dr. Tsung. I have other vets closer to me but I feel my pets are in good hands at IAC. I've recommended it many times and will continue do so.

  • Kevin C

Dr. Jennifer is an amazing veterinarian. We took our dog to her his entire life. We will definitely be returning with our new puppy later this month. Inwood Animal Clinic is compassionate and honest.

  • Glenda Anderson

One of the best vets we have ever used across three countries! Very caring and my dog was very relaxed. Almost no wait and for a busy practice they never made us feel like rushed. Highly recommend

  • Addie

I have taken my animals there for years. Everyone is straightforward about everything and they explain all of the medical options, why some are better than others maybe and all of the costs, etc.

  • Claudia Viguera

Very kind drs and techs. Took good care of my cat. I only wish the check out process was a bit quicker, took a long wait on my part to discover they just hadn't put the file in checking out.

  • Nirvana Satori

Dr. Goldschlager is very rude and intimidating. He did not help my little guy at all. That experience left me very saddened and discouraged. I will not be returning to Inwood Animal Clinic.

  • alejandra ridell

I went for the second set of shots, everything went smoothly. Personal is attentive and the doctor answer all of our questions. The place was perfectly clean. They treated my pet very well.

  • Jaivis Cardenas

I came to get my dog a groom today, and when I came to retrieve her she was shedding and wasn’t even washed. The manger was rude and had claimed my dog was clean scamming me on my money

  • Judith Barber

Have used Inwood Animal Clinic for a number of years for the care of a number of animals, including exotics. Have never had a bad experience. All staff professional, friendly & caring.

  • Gabriel Alken

Always in and out quick. Very friendly and knowledgeable vets and vet techs. My kitten is not afraid of the vet. This is the important part: the prices are extremely reasonable.

  • robert menken

Dr. Tsung and staff have always shown interest, compassion and professionalism when dealing with my pets. I have total trust in her decisions and my pets have done well by her.

  • Yajaira Germosen

  • Maria Laura Castiglioni

My cat and I were seen on time and welcomed warmly. After a thorough exam, when I arrived home I received a message asking how my cat was doing. Overall very satisfied.

  • Cynthia Straker

I found Inwood Animal Clinic a few years now Great team!!! You can feel the Love, Vibes, Energy once I enter. I don't think I would have taken Jacob any where else!

  • Peter McLean

My doogie Raven and I love this place. The wait can be a little long at times but the service and care is amazing. It's pricey too - but you get what you pay for!

  • Mykhailo Naumliuk

Never again. They made my dog to go through a lot of pain, stress and misery because of incompetence and lack of courage to admit mistakes and fix it up right.

  • Emilio Mendoza

Service was amazing by all the staff. It felt really great to bring Frisky over. The vet was amazing with her as well. Overall, a fantastic experience.
