This is the worst place to be. Everytime I’ve gone to the library for help, they haven’t been able to help me. Let’s start off with how I needed a charger for my laptop, and they wouldn’t let me take the charger without taking the laptop. Second I had to borrow equipment from Area 49. They won’t let you borrow for more than a week. If I actually needed it for only a week, I wouldn’t be here. Third, another time I had to borrow a camera and they gave me the wrong charger. I was never able to use the camera and I needed it for an important professional exam. Last but not least no one there knows how to edit videos. Thanks a lot. I talked to 3 people, they couldn’t do it. They said someone knows how to help with video editing but that person isn’t here today. There’s more bad stuff that happened but here’s just some examples.
Went to uncc and it's crazy how much its grown, I had to use google maps to navigate it. Completely overhauled what I remember, definitely revamped it for the phone generation, has non quiet and quiet areas, kiosks, modern design. It reminds me of some of the big tech offices I've worked in. Very convenient and open 24/7 most days, great when you're a digital nomad/freelancer or on business coming through the area to get work done without having to deal with hotel checkout/check-in times. Not sure if alumni (non-current student) can check materials out as I haven't had the need to but I know they state you have to be a student from the website, but it is open to the public otherwise
If you are a UNCC student this is probably a great place but not so much if you get a community access card. They charge $50 per year and you can't use the card to access anything electronically. You can only access things if you are a UNCC student. This needs to be made more clear in the info about community access cards on the web site.
The staff are super friendly. They go beyond their jobs even when they dont have too. My pages was printing out blank due to a format I was using so the employee went out her way to make sure she printed them out for me! I mean this is just one example, but very nice staff!!!! Mrs. Dooley was her name but they all work great as a team!
I've spent countless hours here trying to make my tuition payments mean something. Good place to hangout, study, and relax. I've eaten, slept, and studied here. If you want a quiet study just reserve a room. Also check out the top floor view and read sometime, it's worth it.
Best library in the UNC system, quiet, clean, comfortable, and a very engaging atmosphere for learning. The tower portion is great if you want to be alone in your studies. The upper floors are great for a view of Charlotte when you need to look up from your books.
The library is amazing. However, do not get caught sleeping here - unless you'd like to be featured on Charlotte Sleepers. I have a lot of acne on my face and fell to sleep at this library. When I woke up, there was a blind man reading my face. Beware.
An amazing place for studying.. nice comfy couch , tables, isolated soundproof room for group study is available. Washroom are well maintained and stuffs are really helpful. You can buy coffee and other snacks from the coffee shop near it. …
Took my rising 8th grade daughters on a self-guided tour today and the Atkins Library and the Popp Martin Student Union were the highlights of the day. One daughter is has made UNCC herb1st choice (even over William & Mary).
Very RESOURCEFUL library!! Computers, study rooms, help desk, many experienced library techs, and it open 24/5. Friday and Saturday it closes early because college kids are partying!
It's been at least a decade since I've been on the UNCC campus. It is beautiful!! Can't wait to return, but for a different reason this time!! I'm excited for a new journey!
Can be noisy at times even in the designated "silent study" areas. Going up to the higher floors is quieter. In general a good place to study.
Good book collection however too noisy to be called a library. Loud conversations and phone calls are the norm rather than exception
Really nice location for the most part. Highly recommend everyone see the view from the top floor. Friendly and helpful staff.
I love this library. It's huge, very resourceful and has a coffee machine!! You can study and fall asleep in here, Lol!!
Made for everything but reading, the general maps are too vague, large bookshelves don't have proper descriptions.
Plenty of computers, silent study space, group collaboration or individual study rooms. Extremely helpful staff.
Awesome place to study and reading with quite and friendly environment. Seats are amazing, you will love it
This is a great library....with computers that's open to the public and a peet's coffee shop to boot....!!!
I absolutely really Love this college, although am from another college GCU Grand Canyon University …
I am attending another college but the library at UNCC is so awesome. It was very resourceful for me.
It sucks that it isn't 24 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday like it used to be. Cheapos
I haven't borrowed any of these books, but I read some of the books. These books are great.
Pretty and quiet - the higher the floor, the quieter of a study space you will find.
Nice and big place with lots of books, computers. Students can borrow laptops here.
Please open back up soon this is one of the best places in the community to study.
Though it can get noisy with large groups, they provide the best service they can.
It's kinda crowded and noisy but with free & fast wifi I guess it's ok.
Super nice secretary helped me find books in foreign languages …
nice space but wifi sucks in certain spots and theres like no books
Just a great place to study and they're open to the public too!
This library is a gem among many on the UNC Charlotte campus.
I would give 1 star reduction for having a lot of noise
Massive collection of books and resources
Probably one of the best places to study
Kinda cold, but a good place to study
They don’t even know what the basics
Stockholm Syndrome I guess.
Really good place to study
Best place ever to study.
