Jim from J.F Locksmiths is hands down one of the most reliable and friendly people we have had come out to carry out some work on our patio doors. Jim not only advised us of the problems but also went through the cost of each component and labour. There were no hidden costs and he is very reasonably priced in comparison to the quotes I had previously. Not only was Jim at the house on time, he was super friendly, his work is clean and everything was left nice and tidy. In future I will look no further if we need any work done and I will be recommending J.F Locksmiths to my family and friends. If you google Locksmiths near me, I urge you to avoid the top searches which have the AD sign next to them. I used one of these companies and I was not happy with the service, the price or the mannerisms of the man who came out. Avoid at all costs and just give J.F Locksmiths a call. I couldn’t open my front door so called these guys yesterday…I’m so glad I did they came within half an hour…such polite guys and can tell they know their job well…fairly priced and did a brilliant job..I hope I don’t need to but if I do I will definitely call Jim again and will recommend him to everyone I know as it is so hard finding trustworthy, genuine people…he even replaced the door handle for me at the same time rather than charge me another call out fee and come back ..really appreciative of this especially as cost of living is so high and other people would have taken advantage of the situation to charge ridiculous amount..the main job was the faulty gearbox. He even did a few extra small jobs at no extra cost. Very professional and quick…job was done within half an hour x

Jim was fantastic, arrived punctually for a pre-arranged quote, went through the various options and provided price options for the work required. There was no hard sell at all, we agreed the work & final price and he nipped off to get the parts needed. Arrived back very promptly and completed all the work in good time. Jim comes across as a very honest guy, extremely friendly and he explained all the work he was doing in jargon-free language! He insisted on checking all the work with me (prior to payment) to make sure it all worked as desired. Cannot rate him highly enough, great guy and a fantastic service, would highly recommend him.

Jim replaced two locks with high security cyclinders promptly and efficiently, offering to come out the same day as I called. He also agreed to look into our garage door mechanism free of charge, advising the best course of action in his honest opinion, with details of others to contact only if we choose to. Jim also offered to straighten our front door freely, a job he did not have to do and explained how to do this for ourselves in the future, a kind and thoughtful gesture of someone who takes pride in their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend J F Locksmiths to anyone and will be calling them if I ever need such work again.

I locked myself out of my house. Everyone with a spare was away. Dogs going mad inside and daughter upset outside. I have been badly stung in the past with less than reputable emergency locksmiths. I checked online and saw the number of good reviews, the history of trading and the "Which" accredited badge and called them. I am so glad I did. Came over in under half an hour, got me back in my house with no fuss and was a lovely, professional guy. Not too pricey at all. I cannot thank him or recommend him enough. I hope I don't have to do this again but if I do, I know who to call. Absolutely top notch.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Jim today. He discussed our requirements in detail, and suggested a few different products of varying costs and performance, he left us to make an informed decision, which after the time and effort he went into determining the pros and cons of each product it was a easy decision to make. His response time from my initial call was fantastic and he had been out to purchase and fit our new lock in record time. I don't normally leave reviews, but felt Jim did a really good job. He was very helpful, explained the various options I had in full. I asked him to do some additional work we hadnt agreed in advance, he had the parts in his van and did to a high standard. Also I asked for some advice on a badly fitted upvc door round the back. Jim re-adjusted the door on the spot and its now good as new Overall I found him to be very trustworthy and meticulous and would be more than happy to use him again.

Called J F Locksmiths and spoke to Jim explained our UPVC front door could not be opened, Jim arrived on time and within the hour the door was open and the faulty part replaced, tested and door adjusted. Jim was very friendly, courteous, professional and very helpful, there were no hidden charges and the price was reasonable as discussed over the phone. Very happy to recommend his services and will be in touch with him if ever we experience other door/lock problems.

Jim was absolutely brilliant. I called this morning after a burglary where our door handle & lock had been broken. He came within the hour, changed all 3 locks downstairs to the anti-snap locks without a ridiculous price up. Jim went out and got a new Upvc door handle that fit our very strange size door, came straight back and fitted it very quickly. I was very happy with his service and would highly recommend to anyone who needs their locks changing/updating.

Such great service! I had a attempted break in the night before and I called J F Locksmiths first thing in the morning and they responded so well! They came quickly, fixed the door and the patio doors (which were old and difficult). They also explained the lock differences, and the security ratings which gave me confidence. I asked this company to come to change the locks at our new house on the weekend. The locksmith arrived very promptly at the pre-determined time, were pleasant, did the job within 40 minutes, and didn't over-charge! Jim today became a front line hero in my opinion. We had a problem lock on our back door telephoned Jim and his response was great he arrived within 30 mins. and sorted it out very quickly. Needed to gain entry to a house having lost one of the keys to the front door. Booked Jim 24 hrs in advance but it was for a Sunday. Turned up just a few minutes early got me into the house and replaced 4 external door locks. Jim was professional and a very pleasant guy. Given it was a Sunday I felt the price very reasonable.

Highly recommended. I needed a locksmith to open a garage for my mom who has dementia so the fuse box could be reset. Jim was brilliant he dropped what he was doing and went round opened the garage and changed the lock straight away. He even reset the fuse box for her. I can’t thank him enough
