Had a terrible experience with a sales guy (tall guy) at JB Hifi Chadstone today- great products but I will definitely be shopping online going forward. I had to ask the sales guy for help as he was just chatting to another staff member. I was purchasing a fitbit for my mum and I asked what was the cheapest option as she just needs something basic- he showed me a product that was ~150 on the computer and then I asked if my mum could try it on.. tried on what we thought was this product but was actually a more expensive version (~$180) but didn't actually find out until I was about to pay. Then when I said it wasn't the one he showed me on the computer he made me feel like I was the one who told him I wanted the more fancy version. He also did an aggressive upsell on the warranty even though I said I didn't want it. Was a very unpleasant shopping experience and I will definitely be buying online in the future.

The Chadstone JB didn't have the same level of service I've enjoyed for many years at The Glen and Barkly Square. The sales staff were uninterested in customers and unhelpful (but they were polite and friendly to be fair). I found it frustrating the only attention I recieved was from the security guard at the door, who's unable to help with sales and service, but has the time to interfere with my product selection (to which I politely requested that he could help, or summons one of his sales colleague who were too busy talking about their social lives at that moment.) the guard was polite but also wanted me to wait in line after my purchase to check my receipt. This store had the yellow JB Branding and fit-out but was not indicative of the usual JB brand experience.

Bought a new phone from the store. Staff helped to select the right one. Now that being the case, they recommended to get screen protector and case for the phone which were at least twice as expensive than online. So I bought 'only the phone', which could possibly be the reason why the staff didn't seem to be favorable once I made my decision and took some while to get me 'the papers' for purchase. And speaking about the papers, which mentioned some conditions before purchase, they had me to sign on it and I then had to ask some 'terms' in those which in addition, they didn't seem to like. The person at the till as well, weren't friendly as well as it seemed like I was stealing something from them. Won't recommend and will certainly not go in again.

Visited the JB hifi Chadstone store the other day and headed straight down to the digital pianos as I always do. And I stood around observing and considering which one to buy. Not one Jb hifi team member approached me or asked if I needed assistance. Sorry but you just lost a potential buyer. What about those $1000 Casio pianos sitting right there? Well you weren’t willing to tell me what functions are available. I couldn’t even work out how to turn on reverb. Poor form. But seriously, get some more team members in the downstairs section who are willing to provide their knowledge and expertise in the music section. I work in retail too, so I know it’s hard but maybe just employ more people and focus on improving customer service.

JB Hi-Fi Chadstone Shopping Centre Is unfortunately not as good as I expected at all... staff were the absolute opposite of helpful, how do you expect me to give you my hard earned money for a product when you have no idea about it... telling me to go do my research isn't good enough! I thought asking the staff member that specifically looks after a certain area was considered "Research" anyway I gave my money to a different JB Hi-Fi Considering they are independently owned I guess that's a loss for the Chadstone store, I won't bother going back either.. Southland is much better as far as I'm concerned Obviously I DO NOT RECOMMEND JB Hi-Fi Chadstone ⌨️

Bought a monitor from this JB Hi Fi and had issues with it (went out and bought different cables, followed the company directions to install drivers etc.) and so came in to see what the issue was. Andrew was very helpful and took the time out of his day to walk through all the processes and troubleshooting - in the end the monitor was faulty and the guys were nice enough to allow us to test a new replacement monitor before placing through the exchange. This monitor was working and overall very happy with the service at this store. Andrew was very helpful and wanted to thank him and the Chaddy team for assisting me with this issue.

please don't buy phone from JB HIFI I bought a phone to send overseas to my mother as gift and we find out phone has got some issues. We report to the JB HIFI and after confirming phone has got some fault they send it for repair which took around 3 month approximately and i have to parcel that phone again with someone. Then again my mother got same issues and i report to them they said it's not phone and they not sure they can fix it.but when they were sending for repair at the beginning they said bringing it back we try to fix if it has got same issues. It's so frustrating especially when you send as gift.

Had a bad experience with the counter staff. An item was labelled under “JB HI FI Best Prices” and marked down in price as the item’s packaging was damaged. However, upon paying for the item I was charged the original full price. The person behind the counter excused her mistake by claiming “sometimes people put the stickers on there when they shouldn’t be there” and I was sent on my way with no partial refund. Seems as though the person at the counter had an ego problem, or JB is using false advertising. Not impressed since I have spent a very large sum of money over this last week at different JB stores…

Was inside store on 6th Nov at around 4 pm. There was a middle aged lady with ponytail on the counter who was extremely rude by yelling at my little brother “go back” multiple times without saying anything else after she served the customer in front of us and we were stepping forward as the next customer. When this happened, my brother just began talking to her and she acted as we offended her for NO REASON. Look I get it might be your last minute but please HAVE SOME RESPECT AND MANNERS towards your customers even if they’re kids. Extremely BAD experience and will never visit this store again.

came into the store during the Christmas rush period and was desperate to find some last minute items at a reasonable price, and thankfully, one of the fantastic employees at the store named Jibril, steered me in the right direction by providing me with a handful of options for headphones/earphones that met my needs and weren't just the most expensive pair of headphones in the store! what Jibril provided that day was a customer service experience, that put the customer (myself) first and these are the type of people and experiences i will never forget. definitely will be shopping there again!

Went in to purchase a new phone and was waiting for quite some time without any assistance nor acknowledgement from the team until Alex showed up. We didn't even get the chance to experience service at this store.. My friend and I walked to buy a mobile phone.. He knew exactly what he wanted.. After waiting for 10 minutes to see someone, no one was available at that section.. Walked across to the other side of the store until I found a staff.. He supposedly paged someone to the comm section and asked me to go back wait there for them.. 22 minutes later we walked out without being even attended to.. Headed to another retailer to buy the phone.

Decent(ish) range and prices compares to competitors. The reason I buy from them is I know they back their products. Just wish I didn't have to default yo looking up their competition for a more reasonable price. The 20-30% price uplift is as likely to put me off as it is to get me to negotiate. Just want them to be competitive and not force me to not get ripped off. Spent a LOT of money at JB....still feel like I'm trying to not be totally f'd everytime I have to get a JB hifi deal....

Came in here today on the hunt for a Spiderpunk figure, the staff are all so wonderful and happy to help. Even though in the end we were unsuccessful, I left totally satisfied that they had exhausted every possibility in the search. Everybody I spoke to was very friendly, and seemed very knowledgeable about their inventory and the store as a whole. I would 100% come back here before any other JB if I needed anything else, a flawless customer service experience from all involved.

Purchased Airpods pro form JB a while back. Was having faults and had to replace at Apple two times. Third time Apple said they would generally refund instantly, under ACL but since I purchased from JB I need to get the refund from them. Went to JB and was advised refund is generally tricky but they would put through a diagnostic request which takes up to 48 hours and there is no refund / replacement guarantee. If you value your time, purchase from Apple direct.

We were looking to get an Android phone, the shop was understaffed. We waited for 10 minutes and finally got someone to help us, but the staff said that he didn't know anything about Android phone. Quoting him: "I would only recommend iPhone"; "(pointing to a random phone on display) maybe you can try this one, it's 300 bucks and it's a phone." I used to have good experience ay JB hifi, but this kind of customer service is very disappointing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a wide range of products including CDs, vinyls, head phones, TVs, coffee machines, laptops, printers etc. I had gone in there too pick up a printer I had ordered online. The pick up point is to the left and rear of the premises. It was quick and straightforward - as long as you pick it up yourself and don't send someone else to do it for you.

Too much waiting time Bought new iPhone 2 days ago and it was defected phone, they asked me to go to apple and get genius appointment and get a report that the phone has defect it was clearly visit defect in the display and give the age of the (2 days) phone a replacement was necessary . Still waited for 2 hours to have a check with manger who was busy cleaning. Really bad service

Bought a Surface 4 Laptop. Received great service from Liz the saleswoman there. She was warm, friendly, personable and offered great advice, particularly in relation to security software options and extended warranty. At one point I had to bring my laptop back for an after-care claim and she was just as friendly and easy to deal with. Would not hesitate to buy here again.

Very busy (for me) quite standard JB HiFi store with so many signs it's overwhelming! Only looking for a certain product (portable speaker) so once we found that section we were quickly served by a roaming sales guy & headed to the back to pay. Standard security at the front door for checking receipts but no overbearing demanding like sometimes happens, very pleasant guy.

Have more latest equipment demo (like headset) compared to other stores (Visited JB in Swanson and Melbourne Central), however, the headset demo unit seems to be broken, can hear the sound occasionally if you twist the wires a bit. There might need a better procedure introduced to protect the demo unit instead of hanging the items outside and then someone broke it easily

Staff are friendly but they can be a tiny bit pushy with the added/extra warranty. Nice and large store though and quite easy to get help if you ask or look for someone. The payment process was simple and easy to get through, so no issues there. I knew what I wanted coming in, so I didn't faff around and asked for the product and to pay for it. Easy no nonsense customer service. (Tall guy, phone section.) Actually probably the best cs I've had anywhere in a long time. Answered my questions honestly about two similar products, subtle upsell but not aggressive and insistent on upselling everything. Got me sorted out quickly despite the store being insanely busy. Absolutely amazing customer service. Bought galaxy buds2 and they just didn't work. With a lot of back and forth with Samsung they finally told me they couldn't do anything and sent me back to jbhifi. Even though it had been two months since I had bought them, they still let me return them for a full refund and helped me find a better pair.

Not my usual JB Hi-Fi and I'm glad it isn't. I purchased two laptops one didn't have a stylus. When I rang they tried to tell me it didn't ship with one which was wrong. Then they left me on hold for 30 minutes before hanging up on me. This was really disappointing as the assistance to select the laptops was great.

Love the pricing and great range. However the layout needs much to be desired esp. the payment counter. They're located way in the back, the queue is usually quite long and moved slowly. We quietly put our proposed purchases back on the shelf and went to Officeworks.

Good customer service focus as a company but pick your assistant with care. Some seem in a daze or on autopilot. ALWAYS ask for a better price, the floor staff have discretion to discount, sometimes by alot. Sidestep the warrenties unless buying something expensive.

Don't use Team Global Express(toll) for your deliveries. The service is non existent, and the deliveries aren't guaranteed for the day you book it on. Meaning you take off work for no reason, and have paid for a delivery service which does not deliver.
