We read the reviews prior to going to JC's. Expected a good brunch. Unfortunately, it couldn't have been a greater letdown. We ordered two fish and chips and one calamari and chips. After waiting for an hour, the food was still not ready. Eventually, I got up and said to the waiting staff that we'll pay for the drinks, but we are leaving now. Another customer did the same. They said the food was being plated. We decided to stay, but the food that was served was honestly abysmal. Fried fish was not cooked, still raw, and the calamari was shameful. We obviously didn't eat the food, paid for the drinks, and left.

A laid back, cosy place to chill with friends or family. The service staff make sure that you are taken care of. The food tastes home made and is far more cost effective than anywhere else. Ciarra Olifant is an exceptional server! We also find ourselves going here to pass the time during loadshedding, where there is always a cool sea breeze on the veranda.

Great place to go for a quick meal and coffee. Very clean venue, smoking on the veranda outside under shade. Friendly and helpful staff, they really go the extra mile. Food is fresh and very affordable, regular specials. Opens very early every morning, perfect for a sunday brekkie. My new favourite restaurant in Amanzimtoti. Thank you to the owner and staff.

Worked with the previous owner for almost 2 years, and never had as many problems as I have had with the new owners, customers waiting 1 hour for precooked meals each day.

Waited a full hour for a pre-cooked Sunday Lunch! I feel really insulted by the shocking service!! Never again!!!
