I understand Jainism very very well. So always nice to see this holy place (this although all is indeed holy). Regardless. Last time I was there for Sister Shivani who had the same birthday as me (March 14). This time somebody told me I could not stay without an appointment this although the website says that anybody can stop by and visit without an appointment. No problem. My one suggestion though is not to judge a book by its cover. I am white (color is a sensory perception as you already now) but I have the same wisdom through Jnana after the age of 47. So all people should remain welcome. Again. Don’t judge the book by the cover. Never turn people away who come to you. They come to you for a good reason. Just my two cents. Bless you all. Antwerp is like cool breeze that you feel on your half sweaty face while you cycle in-and-around this lovely city. We were essentially enjoying the perfect demarcation on the roads with separate free galleries for cycles when I offered my wife to start from the Antwerpen Centraal and take a look around finally circling a circuit close to 20 kms back to the start. I wanted to give a surprise check point to her as she is a jain and had no clue about this peaceful place. It can be difficult to spot but I have put a pic of the entrance board below. The entrance looks small but later opens up to an expanse. Be careful about the timing you may want to read online if you wish to catch the evening aarti.

This place should not be called temple but better be described as a business arena. Temple is a place where people can go anytime, pray and relax their mind in calm environment. At this place one have to go only after booking an appointment as informed by the lady who asked us to go out of the temple area and send some caretaker to look after us till the time we left the temple campus. (By the tone of the lady and the caretaker I got the feel like we visited some dark place where some illegal activities are going on and they are trying to hide from us.) - It was just a personal feeling It is the worst experience for me to visit an auspicious place like temple.

The only Jain temple in Europe. It has a fascinating history and took around 13 years to built. Parshvanath god is the main idol with Adinath, Munisurvat & Mahaveer idols also present in the temple. The place is very well preserved and they also provide Pooja clothes (you have to request Pooja clothes at least 1 week before your trip, so they can arrange it for you). There is no Jain food provided in the temple. The Jain community living in Antwerp is huge and really helpful. They also have a big parking space. They also provide shower facility inside the temple.

Visited from London. Lovely Jain temple in suburban Antwerp. All the facilities to do prayers and Puja are available. There is a hall with food being served but not sure if you have to tell them in advance. There was pathshala going on for the children and was really nice to see the Jain community together in Belgium. You can get buses from the historic city centre 180, 181, 182, 183 which is about 20 minutes ride. There is also one bus from the central station too.

One of the finest example of Jain temples in Europe. Must take appointment to visit - as it is not open to non-Jains. If you get to visit the temple from inside please be respectful to those praying there. Even if you don’t get to see the temple from inside it is worth a look from outside. An absolute beauty. Many functions of Indian community take place in the auditorium of the temple.

It's mentioned nowhere that we must take appointment, even to walk around outside. Anyway we won't disturb this closed cult community anymore. If u are not from India or tagged "Hindoïst" on your forehead, u feel less than welcome (by looks and voice tone) Not a good place to go for open mind and tolerance !

Very good temple with positive vibes. Google maps was showing incorrect route but local people helped me to find out. It's entrance is narrow and not lighted enough but once you enter inside, it's huge premise. Colruyt is nearest milestone for entrance. As of Jan 31, 2022, timings were 6.30-11 am and 6-8 pm.

Schitterend gebouw volgens de Indiaanse traditionele bouwkunst gebouwd in schitterend wit marmer met ontzettend mooi handwerk. De vloeren met prachtig ingelegde bloemen en de muren met heel mooie handgemaakte beelden en bloemen. En van de levensbeschouwingen kunnen we ook nog heel veel leren.

Shankheswar Paraswanath Tirth. Peace and Calm Place.. It's neat and clean.. Next to the temple complex, u have an cultural building. Every weekend there is gyansala for kids,which is managed by the jain families living there. It's a sureshot visit place for the jain tourists especially..

Their website should emphasis that to make a visit, you need to make appointment prior, it implies you need to make appintment for group tour. I came all the way from Brussels and took the bus here but was turned down by the gate. Shame though, it would have been cool to learn about it.

Beautiful and a serene place . Really amazed with the beauty of the Temple considering the fact that it is outside of India. The members of the place are very welcoming and nice . Overall a great place if you want to have a temple experience outside of India .

Seems visiting hours are fixed which are not mentioned. On a Sunday, during month of July, with couple of friends visited this place around 5:35 pm when we found the gates closed. A lady passing by informed us that Temple will remain open from 18:00 to 20:00.

To get things clear: if you are white, you have to make an appointment to enter the temple even though it is written that they are open. If you are not, you are invited in. That’s what I would call discrimination. What a disgrace

Very nice and beautiful temple in heart of Europe, only thing administration can do is to make entrance & parking more clear for visitors to avoid stucking in next building parking where you will not be able to get out

A wonderful experience. Pooja cloths for Men and Women and separate bathrooms are available. Upashray and pathshala is also there. Shyam Super Marker is nearby,, you can buy coconut and other fruits form there.
