"Intimately tiny, not even 200 sq ft at the peak, but it has 2 square benches and a really great view! The stairway has a couple of small seating benches on the way up, but the stairs themselves are becoming deteriorated, so for now, use caution"
"I sat here all morning long and only witnessed three other couples come up here in three hours time"
"My son and I were just walking around, intentionally getting lost in the city, when we happened upon this staircase that seemed to lead nowhere"
"Its not much bigger than a parking space, but it is one of the best free views in the city"
"It’s easy to miss this little gem of a park if you’re not paying attention!! Climb some stairs from the street for most amazing views of the Bay, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge & so much more"
Intimately tiny, not even 200 sq ft at the peak, but it has 2 square benches and a really great view! The stairway has a couple of small seating benches on the way up, but the stairs themselves are becoming deteriorated, so for now, use caution. Nestled btwn mansions, it's a cozy, possibly private little place for contemplating, usually, due to its hard to find location. Approach the entrance off of Francisco St. but not via Grant directly, as it is STEEP, but rather by the alleyways just before Grant on Francisco (heading eastward)
I sat here all morning long and only witnessed three other couples come up here in three hours time. I journaled all morning alone with SOME OF San Francisco's finestest views beholding. I sat on a bench that was located at the look out platform. Which iS located at the top of the staircase. Wow what a private secluded secret spot for individual soul searching or romantic dejavous. THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL SAN FRANCISCO.
My son and I were just walking around, intentionally getting lost in the city, when we happened upon this staircase that seemed to lead nowhere. But there was a small marker that said Jack Early Park and so we decided to try and find out what it was about. And we’re happy we did! Great view! But nothing is truly free. Lol! You need to put some effort climbing up the stairs!
Its not much bigger than a parking space, but it is one of the best free views in the city. You can see both bridges, Alcatraz island and there is a bench to sit down while you enjoy the scenery. Great photo opt. Ms. Westcott obviously missed the point !
It’s easy to miss this little gem of a park if you’re not paying attention!! Climb some stairs from the street for most amazing views of the Bay, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge & so much more. A very quaint, quiet spot. Shhhhh... don’t tell the neighbors!
Nice, no-alcohol city park that's not much larger than a parklet. 64 steps to the terrace at top that serves as a panoramic vista point of the bay waters from Bay Bridge to Golden Gate Bridge. Open at dawn, closes at dusk.
I don't think something this tiny can be 5*, but it's a nice little platform with a view. When tourists are in town it could get semi crowded. And it feels crowded when there's only a handful of people there as is.
Great Views. Tucked Away Just North Of Chestnut St. On Grant Ave. North Beach ,Telegraph Hill Area. Close to Fisherman's Wharf. Take the Lone stairway up. Enjoy The View! …
Stairs leading up to a quiet spot overlooking Alcatraz and the bay. Part of the view is covered by trees but worth taking the time to stop by if you’re nearby.
Cute views. There are some stairs. It's a little tucked in back there I wouldn't recommend going at night, definitely some shady stuff happening off the path.
Had to roll thru that area to drop off a meal that someone failed to do earlier. Had some people milling around, appeared relaxed as I rode my bike thru there
Amazing little two-person park. Romantic, cozy, and stunning views of both bridges. Also, probably the best vantage point to get a snap of Alcatraz.
If some trees were trimmed to make the view better, it would be better. That way, people will not have to stand on the bench to get the best view.
This is an amazing little park with an amazing view of the bay. There are a lot of stairs up to this park, but the view makes up for that.
Quaint, clean and cozy. Beautiful views of the bay and partials of both Golden Gate and Bay bridges. Alcatraz and Marina can also be seen.
Great view Amanda tranquil but the tree was in the way for the view to be spectacular. Rec and park please trim back the tree tops.
You may miss this park from the street, but don't. You walk up a few stairs then come out on a platform with incredible views.
Love this place because people easily miss it. So it's good place for a short rest with an unexpected view over the North bay.
Please Goddess, clean up this space! With so much wealth in the neighborhood, pull it out and recover this roughened diamond.
A charming little hideaway with spectacular view. But yes the stairs a bit steep - like everything else in that part of SF.
The park's entrance is on Grant Street between Chestnut and Francisco Streets - you'll see a plaque marking its entrance
Más que un parque es un camino de escaleras que atraviesa un jardín..., pero esta bonito..., no hay mucho que ver....
Not a park! It's a tiny viewpoint where you can see Alcatraz and a little of the bay bridge. Closes at night.
Nice view but partially blocked, fairly middling view by San Francisco standards which makes it still nice.
hidden park near pierent 35。you can park your car here and walk downstairs to pier, like fisherman wharf
Top 10 observations and mind-blowing facts about Jack Early Park. (You won't believe number 8!)
Amazing view point for seeing both the Bay bridge, and the Golden Gate Bride. Bring binoculars!
This is NOT a park. It is approx 50 steps to a very very small lookout point.
Hidden little spot with space for two, maybe three? Nice little views of SF.
The gate was locked at 10 am in the morning. Has the park been closed?
Great views. But the stairs were very steep and tiring to climb.
An amazing out of the way site for you and a friend or a lover.
A great view of the city not really a park but a peaceful stop
Such beautiful views and so romantic perfect for date nite out
Phenomenal views from a park that is really more of a lookout.
Love me an early hike up the stairs to this awesome vista
Great little hidden park with fabulous views of the bay
This is one of my favourite spots in San Francisco.

Nice views! Weird park. Kinda love it.
Park opens in the AM close At sunset.
This is not a park. This is a bench.
A sweet view, well worth the steps.
Super views from this hidden patio.
It's not a park, it's a community.

Only special because it's hidden.
