warm + clear water, not too deep and saw some stingrays. 10/10 recc for easy snorkelling near the city. how to get there: google maps has all the reviews on 'Jawbone Flora and Fauna Reserve', but the actual snorkel site is here. park near williamstown beach and walk ~10 mins to this cove for snorkelling.

It looks like a standard bunch of rocks here, but the area is host to an extensive range of Port Phillip Bay's marine and coastal life. Its also part of a 5 km foreshore walk, there's lots to see and do at any time of year, including walking, cycling, bird watching, picnicking, swimming and snorkelling.
Just south of the sanctuary you can find a tranquil, sheltered little cove with a small beach which is great for paddling with younger children. There are lots of rocks and tide pools for spotting crabs, small fish etc.
Love the peace and tranquillity in Jawbone Marine Sanctuary. Also saw some interesting looking birds. Great place for a walk and enjoy some peace so close to the city.
