Jextoban is not a very good school. Attended the school for 6 years, there was a lot of favoritism as well as gossiping within teachers. Nigeria educational system needs improvement and jextoban is part of the educational system. There is a lot of bragging about British curriculum but when students graduate and travel abroad, we have to unlearn and relearn. Teachers need to be more engaging with student and there should be a lot of collaboration amongst student. When I schooled here, the use of technology was flawed upon but the world is advancing and Nigeria is lacking behind, I can’t speak for other schools but jextoban needs to step up their game. I was in boarding school and we studied 7 days a week, every single day. Students need to be taught how to learn in other to excel, asking and forcing us to put a book in our front for 3 hours a day won’t make us learn, it should be more of group study and learning to understand. Lastly Jextoban is a Christian school and Nigeria is a religious country but God says Faith without work is nothing, Christianity felt more like a cult. In All, for student to feel interested in learning, there should be a lot of collaborative learning, innovative and creative learning, curricular activities that include student choosing electives that they want, student being taught to analyze and think for themselves rather than going off what teachers says. I come in peace
I went to school here in 2008 and I can honestly say that there are better schools outside there. Don’t waste your hard earned money.
