Fairly good food at reasonable prices & beautiful presented! Extremely filling - well worth it for a family meal. Perfect mix between a shisha lounge and family supper area. Upbeat music and fun family friendly visual entertainment. Staff members are extremely friendly! They kept checking if everything was okay, we were very appreciative of our waitresses 5* Service. Note on seating: probably not best to sit near the doors furthest from the kitchen as beggers will find a way to your table to beg for food.. It can be quite uncomfortable but it's understandable that nothing can be done. (It might not be such a common occurrence but still, it's something to keep in mind)

Great tasting food and friendly staff. Service from Lerato was great! Only issue is they force you into buying a leg quarter. They always say breasts are sold out, until you plead and then you get a breast. Seems like a tactic to cut costs. On some occastions i ordered a breast quarter and was instead given 2 random individual pieces (not the breast). We understand if costings have gone up, and your quarter chicken meal for R40 is well worth it. Rather up the price to R45 instead of giving a customer what they do not want. Many shops have a separate price for a leg quarter and another price for the breast quarter (eg. R40 and R45) Consider that.

Yhoooo . I'm just even grateful to be alive to write this review , on Saturday I order food from Jimmy's Ormonde way a disappointment food looked ohk until I took a bite of my fish , nicely baked outside and raw and off on the inside. I had the whole of Saturday evening vomiting non stop and the rest of sunday only now I'm trying to have water , couldn't keep anything else down for the past 36hours .....I can never ever order food from this guys ever again myife comes first . How do you sell such to people especially Fish is very sensitive a person could die

We ordered 2 beef kota and 1 chicken kota The chicken one had 6 tiny pieces of chicken in it. I could of just got plain chips instead. I am not very impressed and not happy with what I had to pay. If there was at least half chiken and chips then fine. But it was 95% chips. R52 for chips on bread. Disgusting that you don't even get what you pay for. As for the beef kota let me not even go there. We always order from here as it is cheap and the food is always good. But after today. Sorry, you let us down.

The service is great and it’s clean and located well. However, I was disappointed by the Dagwoods we bought here. The sandwich was filled with fries. I’ve bought and made many a Dagwood in my day.. but none that is populated with fries - even worse one where the chips to meat ratio is 9:1. I wouldn’t recommend this overpriced chips sandwich to anyone-they should actually change the name from dagwood to overpopulated chips between 2 slices

Normally I'm happy with the service at this Jimmys, but today's service was the worst. Bought fish and chips at 7:25 pm but only got it around 8:15 pm after I fought with the cashier. The first chips we just filled with oil and the guy making chips said he doesn't have time to drain the oil. Only when I asked for a refund, they said they'll give a fresh batch. 45 minutes is too much for just fish and chips guys!!!

Am so disappointed because i always buy lunch at Jimmys everyday but this is the 3rd time am experiencing a such the meat is bloody undercooked.last it was burnt am angry because i buy lunch there everyday

Worst!!! Like their chips are nice and everything but it's better to go there self cause when you order they don't put sauces or anything but salt. And to mention they have really amazing sauces especially the cream looking sauce and the chilli one. But don't bother ordering chips alone cause you'll choke on the dryness. …

I used to rave about this store but the standards are slowly dropping. Lately I ordered twice within a week. Got dry burnt chicken, requested extra sauce which was not given. Owner needs get involved like he was and do constant quality checks.

This is the second time ordering in this outlet and their chips are stale and dry.... We ordered the mighty meat but what was supposed to be full chicken didn't have drum sticks, thighs and wings. I think we will stick with Jimmy's at Mondeor we always get value for our money from them.

My worst experience ever with Jimmy's ormonde. Ordered my favorite chip roll and some chip/Russian bunnies, regretfully spoilt my appetite. Chips was horrible, tasted old and dry. Like it was just warmed from the previous day. They are losing it slowly. Totally turned off by the place.

Best place to eat food in the south of Johannesburg, we love the food here never dissatisfied, the staff is friendly and managers help out a lot thank you Jimmys Ormomde ❤️❤️

The food was good the staff performed very well. it is in a good location. There is every Mr Bean episode playing on the TV even episodes I have never seen before. There are nice frames with sports memorabilia. I Like that there is a sink

Tried them for the first time today and really enjoyed the food. Fresh and delicious. We had the ribs, chicken and mayo sandwich, and JK47- all delicious but the winner was the lemon and herb chicken. Similar to but better than Nandos!

Prego sauce chicken was delicious! Prawns couldve been better ..Fish was lovely with the spinach and butternut sides. Service was slow. If you are looking to feed a group of people and still not break the bank then Jimmys is the place.

Just bought chicken and chips, very disappointed. Chicken was not cooked properly, was hard and cold. This was the first time we've had this disappointing experience.

The waiting period between ordering and collecting is the most ridiculous thing I've experienced. You can wait up to 45 min for a simple chips & polony. Poor service!

This place has the best service at any takeaway restaurant. They always make you feel welcome and I don't mind my 20 minute drive just to go to this specific Jimmys
