Okay, My wife and I took a trip to New Orleans for our honeymoon. We went to all the bars and such that magazines suggest and yadda yadda.,but we haven't found a place that took care of us and made us feel welcome like the jockey tabern. From our bartender to the owner himself they took care of us. If you get the chance go in and visit as they will be honest on what beer/whiskey you need at the time and have wonderful deals. We can't wait to come back to this city. When we do come back, we will be here a lot more.

I have been to this place twice, once to see LSU beat Bama and last Sunday for the Saints/Carolina game. Both times I had a great experience. The volume for the games was very good so all could hear. The service was great and the folks there were amazing. I struck up some great conversation. I though by myself, had an awesome time on both occasions. Highly recommend.

We went there to help our friend celebrate his 55th birthday. They did a boil out front also deep fried chicken , had to have been 40-45 people there. It's a nice little place. There is the bar and another room, I'm pretty sure that's the room the band plays in. Would definitely recommend it.

Great neighborhood bar. The bartenders and owner are all super friendly. The drinks are very reasonably priced. They have free bar games and popcorn. Can't beat that. And a really fun trivia night on Mondays! Feels like family at Jockey's.

My new favorite bar in town! Great place to watch sports or just to hang out with friends. They have drink specials for every day of the week and their regular drink prices are very affordable. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

Great local watering hole just down the street from the Fairgrounds/Racetrack. It's a good place for low cost drinks but a great time. Outdoor seating is available as well. A few tvs for sports. Open late. Great bartenders

A great neighborhood bar, but also THE pre Jazzfest bloody Mary destination. The staff is extremely friendly, the drinks priced right and the customers are all locals. It's worth checking out as your new favorite bar.

Solid neighborhood sports bar with friendly staff in gentilly. Nothing to go out of your way to visit but certainly if you are nearby and looking for a place to catch a game or reasonably priced drink, stop by.

Great dive bar! The drinks are cheap, good beer selection, great vibe, free games, and LOTS of TVs to watch the game. You can now order food from Catty Shack next door and enjoy tacos in the bar.

Great hidden gem in Gentilly. Missed crowd (as it should be), great drink specials, friendly bartenders (but not too friendly, as it should be), and lots of TV see see sports, series, and games.

A new neighborhood bar with a good variety of local drafts - they have a nice cariery of bar games (who doesnt like air hockey?) pro-tip: fresh charcoal oysters on Friday for the summer!

Awesome fun atmosphere. Had a great time and I will be back. Not to pleased with the taco place nextdoor though... Guess I will have to bring my wings or burgers from elsewhere.

Quiet and cozy neighborhood establishment that attracts a fantastic local crowd. A must see before heading to the horse races or Jazz Fest. Victor is great!

Enjoyed the atmosphere, the clientele was really free and open towards everyone. Good music a few TVs around to watch foosball table and Pac-Man to boot!

A new spot for me, but the frozen margarita is a banger. And the atmosphere inside and outside gives you the best of both worlds.
