  • "Good day, Without prejidice"

"My wife and I were at Monte Casino this evening"

"I'm not sure if the top brass of the jmpd are aware of a new strategy that the majority corrupt metro police are using I was absolutely shocked lately when I was recently pulled over by a so called metro police officer and the handbrake of my car wasn't working properly so I asked the officer to write me a ticket which he refused to do all he wanted was money I told him I didn't have any on me the thief actually had the nerve to tell me to do an eft or e wallet but I told him I don't have Internet banking nor was I with fnb or absa after about 30 minutes of argument he gave in and wrote me a ticket this is a warning to motorists stop making these thieves rich and demand a ticket if you can't afford to pay it fight it in court"

"I'm not sure who or what department to contact but I wanted to state that every evening on my way home from work, there is a young gentleman who takes it upon himself to direct traffic at the very busy Pretoria avenue/Weirda Road intersection and he does a sterling job making the intersection safer and less chaotic"

"Rude and arrogant! Driving in the CBD where traffic cops are controlling traffic with traffic signals still operational, traffic cop decides to walk to the opposite end of the street to direct traffic, i edge forward then see a bus coming my way, I realize he is still directing traffic from the other direction and stop way before the path of the bus, then this traffic cop has a hissy fit in front of me, even with my hands up apologizing for my error he continues to stare at me as if he is God! Humble yourselves gents, you are employed to protect and serve!"

Good day, Without prejidice....we attended at Langlaagte traffic. We are still in shock at the service, treatment and being directed from pillar to post that is, one counter to the other. One staff member said one thing and the other staff member said another, causing total confusion. People were shouted at and treated like school children by 2 staff members, in specific, the one manning the waiting area, who voiced that, we are welcome to tell the Manager if we "all" didn't like the manner in which we were treated. Therefore, based on her request, I am writing this review. Who does this person, representing a government Dept. think they are?. Where is the respect?. According to human right we have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. WP

My wife and I were at Monte Casino this evening. When we left at around 1am we were stopped and I was asked to blow into the breatherliser. I was told that alcohol was detected and I knew it wasn't possible. He told me I was a liar and I was put in the back of the police van. I asked to see the reading, but he refused. He refused to tell me his name or give me a badge number. He told my wife I was 'not right in the head' and demanded money. I told them to take me to jail and we could go to court. They then opened the van and told me to go. I then went to the Douglasdale police station to open a case against the JMPD where the station commander refused to open a case or take my statement. How are we to feel safe in SA? How do we stop this?

I'm not sure who or what department to contact but I wanted to state that every evening on my way home from work, there is a young gentleman who takes it upon himself to direct traffic at the very busy Pretoria avenue/Weirda Road intersection and he does a sterling job making the intersection safer and less chaotic. This young man should be mentored and given an opportunity to make this a career. By his appearance he looks to not have much so I think if anyone can help steer him in the right direction it would better his circumstances. Please if JMPD officers could look out for this young man and help him in any way, he would truly deserve to be blessed

Required an accident report. When I entered the public parking lot I parked on the right hand side. Then I made my way to block C. Looked for accident bureau office. Friendly staff just required my vehicle registration number. They'll right it on a slip of paper which you then take for payment to the traffic fines cashiers. Their card machine was offline so bring cash if you can. Went back to accident bureau and received my accident report. Overall quick and efficient. Better than most other state run institutions Loses a star for hideous old buildings. .

Very well organised! They made sure you were in the right queue and staff was friendly and very polite. Fairly busy, but because they were organised, the process in requiring licenses etc was very quick. One of the best licensing dept to go too. Parking to the public is available, directly opposite the entrance on the right hand side off the street and the charge is R10. Certified copy of ID required and payment is via Debt card etc...no cash accepted. Well done Jhb Metro Police dept! Very impressed with your car licensing service to the public!

  • thabiso maiffo

The worst service ever. Staff is very arrogant, queues are not moving. I'm definitely sure there isn't a supervisor because there isn't any control. I was asked to fill up a licence registration form for a vehicle that is not registered. I explained to them that I am here to pay manual penalty fees for a deregistered vehicle but I was told to go certify my I.D. They just chucked me out without even getting on the system to check because they didn't understand

Ek wens iemand wil hom vervang.

Me and my wife would like to thank Mr Jeffrey Maseko (we do not know his rank) (BMU Unit) for this assistance after the Super Rugby Final on Saturday, 5 August 2017 outside Ellis Park. He went above and beyond his duty to safely guide is to the place at the Engen Garage where my brother-in-law picked us up. We came from Polokwane to watch the rugby and did not know the area around the stadium. Thank you sir. Your are a STAR!!!!

  • Diego Carreira

Personally was involved in a accident today but the 2 individuals that came through to the scen of the accident were extremely professional and were the friendliest people even going to the point of reminding me of the dangers of driving etc. They were funny and actually left me and my girlfriend with a smile on our face and made our day a little more relaxed thank you so much guys keep up the spirit

  • Christal Dismore

I travel on Impala road every day (in Kibler Park), there is only 1 speed limit sign on one side of the road. That road is so so dangerous and I really wish metro would put cameras up there or at the very least put more signage up there. I was in a tragic car accident 17 years ago and lost 2 very dear family members because of someone else driving badly. Please people. Drive responsibly.

  • LUNGISA MALAWU

Really dissapointed this morning, got stop by a RUDE officer. Stopped me and accused me of skipping red traffic light. Screaming at me. I felt so threatened by his actions. The guy got no respect and he doesn't even know his job. Took a picture of his name badge. I'm sure he thought I was gone bribe him.The guy even lied to his colleagues and told them I refused to give my lisence.

Every Time we call the JMPD In to Assist they either don't come or can never find the place. Half the time the numbers we are told to call go to waiting, you listen to stupid music for 10 mins before being assisted. I have calls where we waited longer and were not assisted. Most officers do not enforce the law as they do not know it. Are not knowledgeable on Jhb By Laws.

  • Mlungisi Ngwenya

May you please train your officers well. I don't understand why would one stand and control traffic in a working robot, while there are so many disfunctional robots. This is really annoying as it causes an unnecessary congestion. Please use your common sense guys and go stand where you are needed and stop pretending to work on the fully functional robots.

  • Silas Lamola

I wish to say thank you, to the JMPD officer driving a white JD 32???GP. The first time i saw him in action was December 2020 at Southgate arresting someone on a stolen car. Today, i saw him near Suncity Prison making another arrest. We need more like him. Thank officer we appreciate all the work you do for the safety and the recovery of our stolen cars.

Metro police can actually do the job thumbs up, Saturday 24/09/22 Time 2:30am there is a Quantum of Metro police that saved a life of a stabbed guy at corner Fox and Nugget street JHB welldone to the way they handled the situation it's truly amazing if all police departments were acting like the south Africa was gonna be in another level...

  • Robyn van As

Useless to say the least. Phone just rings and rings, if you do manage to get someone to pick up the line I get told they can't help me acquire a case number and hangs up. From HEAD OFFICE!? After Randburg offices told me to phone head office because they'll definitely have it. They're not interested in helping or doing their jobs AT ALL!!

  • AZAM MAHOMED

totally useless , you phone for hours on end before they even put you through to the correct department, switch board staff dnt deserve to be there absolutely useless they dnt even know where or own departments contacts they rather be replaced with people that can do the job instead of collecting a salary for doing nothing all

  • Heath Liversedge

I have been trying now for 3 days to get an accident report number. I tried phonong the number supplied by the officers on the scene. The number just rings. I have tried the Official number. They just put you on hold. I have evntually given up after holding on for an hour. The 1 star is foe the officers on the scene.

Frequently see JMPD on Albertina Sisulu in And around Kensington.. Blatant moving violations are ignored right in front of them. They could fill up the City coffers if they just monitored the robot at Albertina Sisulu and Protea. Drivers routinely disregard the red robot at this intersection

  • Baloch Trading

Hi I was buy car one dealer and they never give me original paper they said come tomorrow every day the same story till today 6 Mo the is gone and I got just paper copy and invoice for dealer so what we can do agains of them we can open the case it’s our problem solution

  • Mandla Masilela

Let's credit were its due...for me i think they jmpd are doing a great job especially in the morning and later controlling the flow of traffic and last night at southgate mall I was stopped and the officer was so friendly to me i give them a 5star keep doing a good job

  • Wonder Mahembe

They have a clean and well catered for HQ with lots of parking space. The people I came to meet here were friendly and helpful, but this may be a case sensitive analogy, given I was meeting senior management.

  • Yvonne Seekoei

It is quite disturbing to wait for JMPD police longer than 30 minutes and wait for a telephone to be answered longer than 15 minutes When a office is called, there is a problem, a service need to be rendered

  • Juanita Britz

Absolutely useless. They would rather put a road block 2 blocks from a traffic light thats bwen out almost 2 days, than send a traffic officer to help with peak time traffic at one of JHB's bussiest robots.

  • pene pene

On the 26 April 2017, I was involved in a accident in Chris Hani street Diepkloof., next to the old TB clinic. Where can I get the case number an the driver on the 4x4 driver details.

  • Alex Young

Very unreliable department, I reported a live hijack and the Metro Police officer told me he doesn't want to get involved, maybe JMPD sets up these hijackings, who knows?

  • Benedict Dube

I came here to ask for a commissioner of oaths to sign my documents and a hand written affidavit. I was told to go to the SAPS police station at Commissioner street

  • Crystal Lunt
