Very friendly staff. The Houston zoo is a very good place to spend a day with family and friends. It is kid's friendly with many interesting attractions specially tailored with the little ones in mind, I gliding but not limited to the petting zoo area. Parking is complex here, specially on peak season and weekends. Come with enough time to spare if you have a time slot to do something in this place.

Small area for little more interaction with animals. Mostly there are goats but last time I saw ducks chickens and some other peacock type birds as well. There is also a lama/alpaca whatever its called I can never tell the difference. I wish they'd add some mccaw in this section. …
