From the moment Tom Reichert came to our home in Gallup (a 2-hour drive from Albuquerque), we knew we were in good hands! Tom was considerate, informed, and professional, all along the way. Ours was a strange situation, as we scheduled our move, then rescheduled at least three times, over a 3-month period, due to our buyer. Tom couldn't have been more cooperative and supportive, despite our multiple changes. Each time we texted or called him, he responded almost immediately, with patience, kindness, and calm assurance! When we finally got to packing/moving days, our packer stunned us with his speed and professionalism. It was a pleasure to observe him. He was joined on day 2 or 3 by another pro, who assisted in loading the van, then took off with our belongings. We had no qualms whatsoever! Our things were then in storage at Johnson for over 4 months, as we were traveling to determine where to retire. Finally, we received our shipment in Virginia, with another great truck driver and two strong, efficient men, to unload and carry it all upstairs to our new apartment. Honestly, we can't say enough good things about Johnson. The team effort was outstanding, and Tom Reichert was absolutely the best!

My review is several years late, I think about 2017-18. The fate of my antique dresser was the casualty of two movers who were thirty minutes late. I briefly left the house to come back and see my toilet had been used. Nasty! The bigger guy was constantly using my bathroom and though they had instructions from Tom to handle my old dresser together only the second little guy was breaking it down and break it he did! Smashed the mirror on my childhood dresser which belonged to my grandmother. It had endured for sixty years until these knuckheads walked into my house. The bigger lunkhead who needed a porta potty gave me a lecture on dry climate vs antiques! I have lived here for thirty years! I liked Tom and had used them before but this time was a disaster. If I wasnt working on a tight schedule I would have fired them both on the spot. The repair work done on the dresser took too long and was sub par workmanship.

If you need help packing, don't use these movers. If you want box contents clearly labeled, don't use these movers. If you want those boxes to end up in the correct room of your new home, don't use these movers. If you want furniture to be put where you ask in your new home, don't use these movers. If you want movers to take care of your things, don't use these movers. If you don't care how your possessions are treated, use these movers. If you'd like to walk into your garage and discover broken furniture you weren't told about hidden in a corner, use these movers. If you like being rushed through paperwork and signing without getting a chance to read it, use these movers. If you'd like to pay a small fortune for all of this, use these movers. If you'd like the promise of reimbursement for damaged furniture but never actually get it, use these movers.

Being a military family, we’ve moved every 1-3 years in the last 30 years. Of all the moves we’ve had, this company was the most efficient and professional and actually CARED about our household goods and not damaging our home during move in. We had some very heavy and bulky office furniture (500 lb desk) and they handled it with care and moved it into our new home office. We were shocked at how quickly they unloaded our 40’ container of household goods and how nothing was dropped, banged or dinged. I should add that due to our steep and sharp driveway, our items had to be loaded onto a smaller truck to make it up to our house. Excellent company with equally excellent employees!

Local arrangements were excellent, especially with Tom Reichert, and we were kept in the loop all the way. Delivery was prompt. Our only issue is that the men who loaded and unloaded our things were not given enough help, and so the loading took them 12 hours until dark, and the unloading was two half-days while they waited for help, which and didn't allow enough time to put items together that they'd taken apart. We're 1 month into the move and still looking for two items that we HOPE are somewhere in the chaos. Still, I'd recomment Johnson Storage & Moving.

I contacked Johnson Storage & Moving about an interstate move. The office person was friendly and knowledgeable, and Tom R, the agent who came to my house to see what all I'm moving and give me a bit was not only friendly but professional. I was not hurried, he asked all the right questions, and gave me a chance to ask all mine. Although I ended up going with a competitor, I have absolutely NO hesitation to recommend Johnson Storage & Moving. It was so nice to have the bid before Tom left instead of having to wait almost two weeks.

Ralph Aragon, from the very beginning, was personable, professional and extremely helpful. The crew that packed us out was amazing! Lorrie Alvarado kept us in the loop as the driver moved across the country in some dicey winter weather. Both Lorrie and Ralph kept in contact through the entire process - pick up to delivery. Cory Begay, our driver, and his mate, Zack, delivered our household goods on a 5F morning in northern Michigan on time and very quickly, too! The entire team of folks who worked on our move are excellent!

Truly awful mover. My stuff was mauled. Shredded boxes. Cracked apart plastic tubs. Metal furniture bent beyond repair. Tables and picture frames with huge abrasions; to name just some of the damage. I’ve moved often; I have never had anything like this. Worst of all, I had paid for their “full (replacement) value protection” and they refused to pay to replace every single damaged item! Check out their reviews at the Better Business Bureau; 1.07 stars out of 5 possible. Wish I had seen that sooner.

We had a local move done. From start to finish, the Johnson staff were awesome, professional and courteous. Tom made himself available at any time of the day or week. All questions and concerns we had were answered quickly and thoroughly by Tom. The move crew hustled, moving quickly but carefully with our things. We moved from a rental of 5 years into our new house. I don't want to move again, but, if I have to I'll call the Johnson boys again. Thanks again guys,

Johnson Storage & Moving was hired by the national moving company that moved our furniture from Cincinnati, OH to Albuquerque, NM. All our home furniture were delivered to the two bedroom apartment a couple of weeks ago. I was very nerves the day of delivery but the care and professionalism of the crew took my stress away. I am extremely impressed with the job well done and will gladly use them again to move us to our future new home!

Johnson was able to come through for me quickly and the online estimate made it very easy and accurate. The packers/movers were careful and professional. The challenge of moving in a pandemic was real, including a period of storage before the final move out of state, but handled well. Some challenges in reaching the needed folks at the facility but overall a very good job done by all. Special kudos to Tom and Lorrie.

First class in all ways, great communication, fast response, loading crew was first class, the driver in our opinion was among the best we had in all of our moves, packing among the best (no broken pieces or any shipping damage from the packing), loading was timely and as scheduled,. I would, without hesitation, recommend them to anyone contemplating a long distance move.

Tom, the coordinator did everything he could to help us get ready and keep us informed. The pickup crew was ready and moved our household quickly. The only issue was whoever moved our goods into the shipping containers stacked things poorly and caused some damage. Other than that the move went as well as could be expected during this COVID time.

From asking for a quote and my move being completed I couldn't ask for a smoother or more professional experience. I was nervous about spending that much money on my move and have no regrets. The bid was in the middle of the ones I received. Well worth what I spent - I wouldn't hesitate to do so again with Johnson Storage & Moving.

We had a great experience with Johnson for our big cross country move. They took extra care to ensure our needs were met and had outstanding communication before, during and after our move. Very timely in everything and outstanding professionalism. The manager for our move, Ethan M. Especially did a terrific job!

We had an unusual request to help with transfer from a truck we were driving cross-country when it broke down passing through Albuquerque. They helped us handle a forklift transfer from our dead truck into a new truck immediately and incredibly courteously! Wish they were in Austin TX! Kudos to Tom Springer!

I used Johnson Moving and Storage for my long distance move. Tom was so nice to work with. He gave me estimate and worked with me till the actual move. The price was very competitive. The moving crew were very careful with the delicate stuff and packed very carefully. What a nice experience.

Johnson and United Van lines handled all phases of my move beautifully. From the estimator visit to advice prior to move, to packing and moving day, to unpacking and delivery, I was very pleased with everything. All the people were highly capable, hardworking, and very nice to work with.

Timely and attentive, but efforts of packing department was very disappointing. Apparently they had some caring packers but one who doesn’t appreciate our property. Packing art work without packing materials, packing tables without protection.

The ABQ portion of my move which was an unload from CA storage and out of state move was seamless, the movers were on time, clean, organized, and quick. I would highly recommend them.

They set up a "virtual" visit to estimate moving costs but no one ever contacted me. And they did not return my calls about the failed appointment. I'll use one of their competitors.
