My fiance and I had our rings made at Joy Creations. The first time we visited, we were treated to a tour of the store workshop and learned a lot about the process of making jewelry. From the beginning, we felt we were treated as real people rather than only as customers -- very different from the average jewelry store. Joy Creations is a warm and welcoming place and you will find no inflated egos or prices here. :) The engagement ring was a custom design and Sam (who does the design work) was very helpful in getting it just right. He was very quick to respond to emails and sent us multiple digital renderings based on our feedback. Dennis was able to create the exact alloy we were looking for down to the percentage, a specific mix of copper and silver with 18k gold. We were undecided as to whether we wanted sky or Swiss blue topaz for the centre stone, but they brought in both stones for us so we could compare after the ring was cast. They were also exceptionally accommodating with our budget. We are thrilled not only with the rings but with the entire experience, and we love knowing how our rings were made. One of the best places in Ottawa!

I took my engagement ring for resizing at Joy Creations this past month and I had a great experience. Samuel was kind, clear about the process, helped me to find my correct ring size, was extremely flexible about appointment scheduling, and guided me well throughout. My ring needed to go up two sizes, and Samuel warned me that with rose gold, it can sometimes be difficult to colour match the new gold to the existing ring. When I picked up my ring this past weekend, I was prepared for there to be a visible patch (this wouldn't have been a concern for me), but I can't see any difference at all! All my thanks and kudos to Samuel for his excellent work. I will definitely return to Joy Creations for my future jewelry repair or sizing needs, and for any custom projects I might be able to dream up! This place is a gem in and of itself.

These guys are extraordinary! Sam is very responsive, from the first time I contacted him with my idea and questions up to the time I received my ring. Sam was very quick in sending me a computer generated render of the ring I described. Followed by in-person appointments for sizing, checking the 3D printed version of the ring, ring finish, and viewing and selection of the stone. Sam provided recommendations and answered all my questions – and I had A LOT of questions – he was very patient, friendly, and professional. Dennis provided recommendations and showed me samples of finishes when I was in the process of deciding on the ring’s finish. Then Dennis brought the ring I envisioned in my mind to reality. I’ve been thinking about it for more than 15 years and now I’m wearing it, thanks to Sam and Dennis of Joy Creations.

I would never get jewelry made anywhere else. I needed a custom band as my engagement ring is very uniquely shaped. On our first visit to joy's, we met Dennis, who walked us start to finish through the jewelry making process. It was so interesting! He even showed us their 3D printer. We were so taken that my fiance decided to have his band custom made there too. These guys were responsive, quick and reasonably priced. The customer service they provided was unmatched. Every time we came in for measurements or anything, my engagement ring would come back cleaned without me even asking. When my fiance was unsure of one of the features on his ring, they actually created a second ring so he could compare. Our rings are unique and beautiful and we are beyond thrilled. and they were always nice to our dog ;) 13/10

Sam and Denis are honest, genuine, and hard working custom jewelers. With high-end quality their pricing is very competitive and do the little things that set them apart from other jewelers. They welcomed me into their shop and walked me through the process, outlined everything involved and were completely transparent. My fiance loves the custom engagement ring we made! It turned out exactly as I imagined. Whatever your jewelry needs are, they will help you. My experience was so positive that I went back and had a second piece made for Christmas out of an old silver bracelet that I hadn't worn in a decade. We couldn't be more happy with our wedding rings that created by Joy Creations. I contact Samuel in January to make two customized wedding bands and he was very quick to respond and very honest with the price and not pushy to sell at all. Samuel was very patient throughout the design process cause he provided me more than 10 different designs. And he didn't ask for any deposit during the design process and he explained that I don't have any obligation to buy from them if I didn't like the design. But I am very happy Samuel make the perfect design at the end. Once we decide on the design we got our rings in about a month. The final products are even more beautiful than I can ever imagine. I worked with Samuel to design and create an engagement ring - my fiancé and I couldn't be happier! Samuel was very diligent and provided clear explanations to everything along the process. He keeps consistent communication even outside the opening hours of the store which was awesome. Samuel and Dennis were both very accommodating to an impromptu timeline I had asked for because of a last minute trip that was scheduled on my end. Without sacrificing on the quality with the expedited timeline, they did a spectacular job. The quality of the stone and the ring is stunning and even after having to come back to resize, Samuel and Dennis did it flawlessly in very minimal time. Awesome and amazing service!! We were looking for someplace to resize my engagement and wedding rings and since we had gems on the sides we were worried no place would do them. We emailed Joy Creations and the wonderful Samuel was super quick to respond to our inquire. We booked a consultation on Dec 4th and he inspected and provided us with a quote right away. He also informed us that it would take about 3-4 weeks as it was holiday season, which didn't surprise us. Cut to Dec 11 (a week later) and he emails us to let us know they were ready for pick (which WOW that was quick!) We went in and they fit perfectly - didn't notice any changes and we paid a really good price for the both of them! Overall a great experience and great people! Would definitely recommend!

I can't say enough about our experience at Joy Creations! Sam and Dennis help me design and create the most beautiful engagement ring. When we went back to have our wedding bands made, Dennis spent hours in the workshop with us and took us through two different ring-making processes so that we could make each others' wedding bands. Sam and Dennis are personable, fun, and hilarious. They are both pros. Their work is amazing. Their pricing is extremely reasonable compared to the competition. They offer a personal experience that you don't get at high-end jewelry franchises. These two men are masters at their trade. They have the most genuine hearts. We will most definitely be giving them our business again in the future!

I’ve used Joy Creations’ services on two occasions: once to resize my engagement ring, and a second time to redesign my setting (as I changed the shape of my centre stone and wanted something custom made). Samuel and Dennis are both so knowledgeable and were really helpful the entire time. Samuel was very patient and super responsive to all my emails while I was selecting the diamond and in designing the setting. The entire process of creating the new setting only took about three weeks too! Beyond happy with the wonderful service, fair pricing, and beautiful end product. Words can't describe the experience! After months of research looking to find somewhere that would treat my wife's jewelry with the same care and love she would, I found Joy Creations. I will NEVER go anywhere else as long as they are in business. Very service oriented, and talented beyond any expectations I could have had.
