I am not a dentist, nor do I claim to hold any expertise in any medical field. What I can attest to with authority is my experience as a patient. And as someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for over 17 years, I know something about responding to your customer’s needs adequately. When they have been neglected to the point of incurring significant personal injury, JunctionWest Dental will not remediate the situation. I am new to Toronto, and this was my first dental appointment in the city. On Friday August 3rd, I went into JunctionWest Dental to address an issue with a filling, which resulted in me needing a root canal. On my new patient form, I indicated that an adverse reaction I have had to a past dental procedure (wisdom teeth removal) was a prolonged, chronic case of hiccups. Following the first step of the root canal, Dr. Marwah prescribed me dexamethasone, a steroid with a documented side effect of causing hiccups in some people. I went on to hiccup severely and frequently over the next three days, to the point of vomiting. This disrupted the quality of my sleep and mental health, and I eventually had to miss a day of work, resulting in a loss of income. It has been one of the worst experiences of my life. It was traumatic. In the case of wisdom teeth removal, the reaction, which is not uncommon, is attributed to the general anesthetic. With this recent incident at JunctionWest, it was caused by a reaction to the dexamethasone. But what is common to each instance is that I am someone with a predisposition for manifesting this side effect where possible, which I alerted the practice to on my new patient form. Due to the long weekend, I wasn’t able to reach the clinic until Tuesday morning, by which point I had stopped the steroid. Monday I googled whether steroids can cause hiccups, and dexamethasone was the first thing that came up. It would have been nice to have been informed of this possible side effect, especially in light of the clear info in my new patient form. When I was able to reach them Tuesday morning, the receptionist conferred with Dr. Marwah that I could cease the dexamethasone, which I had clearly done. In the two days between that phone call and the follow up to finish the root canal, at no point did Dr. Marwah reach out to me personally after I had experienced an avoidable, adverse reaction while under her care. I returned today to finish the root canal because, as angry as I am, I just wanted to get the procedure behind me. The prolonged hiccups and vomiting have resulted in terrible acid reflux. Due to my resulting current level of discomfort, we had to take a break at one point during the procedure today. Dr. Marwhan, knowing the full scope of my horrible experience and the resulting side effects, asked if it was because I’m a smoker, which I am not. The lack of sensitivity was mind boggling. At no point did the clinic offer any sort of compensatory compromise due the horrible experience I had there. They were just in a hurry to get me to book a follow up appointment. When you’ve violated the trust and safety of a patient and customer so thoroughly, you need to do better than that. I will be seeking future dental care elsewhere. It's shocking that they thought I would ever return.

I’ll start off by saying that I’ve been going to this clinic for over two years and the ladies at reception, as well as the hygienists are lovely people. However, I had a very negative experience today after going in to have repairs done to two chipped teeth. I was specifically told I should meet with the head dentist, Dr. Venus Sobhi, as she’s experienced in cosmetic dentistry. She’s not in the clinic often so I moved my schedule around to make it work. However, once I arrived at the clinic, I waited over 30 minutes before I was finally brought in for my appointment. The receptionist was very kind and called the doctor to let them know I’d been waiting for quite some time. I didn’t mind waiting as I understand dentists fall behind, but as I walked past the dentist’s office to sit in my chair, I noticed she was busy filming some sort of promotional video or interview for her practice, which was why I was left to wait for so long. Once she was finally available to start working on my teeth, she was rushing to get the work done. In her rush, she accidentally cut my upper lip with one of her electric tools. It was not an extensive injury but enough to bleed continuously for a few minutes. She apologized and continued on until she saw I was visibly upset and asked if I needed a second. She slowed down a bit after this and listened to some of my concerns, but overall, continued to rush to get me out the door, stressing that she didn’t have all the right tools at this clinic to do what she needed with my teeth. Overall, the experience was extremely stressful and negative for me. I’ve had issues with my chipped teeth since I was a small child, and this is the first time I’ve had someone accidentally cut into my skin during a procedure. This, coupled with the lack of concern for my time and overall abrasive bedside manner made this one of the most negative dental visits I’ve had. Although I found this clinic okay for all my usual cleanings and routine work, after today’s experience I will be searching for a new practice.

A good dental practice is so hard to find, and I am so grateful that with JunctionWest Dental, we have found not only a good dental practice, but an excellent one. Everyone here, from the friendly and helpful receptionists right up to the top, makes every effort to take care of you and set you at ease. For this visit, I had to bring in my very anxious 7 year old boy for a clean, and the hygienist, Katie, spent several minutes just chatting with my son to make him comfortable and build trust (necessary, because she had to do some major scraping of plaque build-up). She was amazing. Dr. Rezania is friendly, practical, and a blessing, and Dr. Sobhi (who I've had less interaction with) is also great. We just love this practice! UPDATE, June 3rd, 2022: Having been a patient for several years now, I can say without reservation that this is the best dentist office I've ever had the benefit of being served by. From the level of attention, familiarity, and care given by the receptionists, to the quality of care given by all the dental hygienists and the dentists, I have no complaints and am always happy to go to JunctionWest Dental, even if it's for a root canal :) Thank you for being the best dental office in not just Ontario, but possibly the world (and I've lived in the USA and the UK for substantial periods, so I know of what I speak lol) Thank you for your continued striving for excellence in patient care!

My experience with this clinic is usually great, that’s why I still chose to come here even if it takes me an hour travel because I’m always satisfied with their service. That changed today. I only came for my cleaning appointment but was attended by a different hygienist and with a new dentist that I’ve never met here before. After my cleaning with the hygienist, this new dentist came for his visual “examination” and he is suggesting for a new treatment plan for my teeth as he allegedly confirmed by just looking that I need filling and he was sure that I have cavity. And prior to this visit, was 3 months ago, I was currently in a different treatment plan with different hygienist and dentist. I was asking questions on why I need to do this other procedure without even checking my previous record. Now this new dentist is just so arrogant with his response to me with “I’m just sure because of my years of experience.” Yeah sure, that years of experience is a reflection of your work ethics today. Just arrogant and unprofessional communicating to your patient. As an employee representing your clinic, you gave me a different perspective today. I feel forced to do a procedure without having the right to ask questions. My hygienist today even explained it better than him, thank you Anna! I will never come back to this clinic again and will cancel my future appointment.

I have been to JunctionWest Dental over the last 2 years around 4-5 months apart and normally I would have rate them a 4 star. Yesterday's appointment was definitely a 5 star! It was the worst snow storm Toronto had experienced for some time and still my hygienist and a receptionist had made it to work! Yontela and Kenna, you rock! The office was very clean, organized, sanitizer everywhere. Covid prep for sure. Temperature taken at wrist and prior to the visit a covid form is completed online. I was early for my 3.30pm appointment (~3pm because my trip to the post office was cut short, being that they were closed). I came in with two large boxes and Kenna was so kind and friendly, she told me I can keep the packages in the closet during my appointment and just made my awkwardness that more comfortable. During my appointment Yontela was so kind and patient--she answered all my questions and was very professional and gave me her input. She did not make me feel bad that I had difficulty flossing behind my back mollers and continued to encourage me to try and keep trying. I felt, all around, given the stress of the snow storm, the commute, the lack of staff... Kenna and Yontela are superstars! Thank you for the great visit to the dentist... My partner recently came here for a wisdom tooth extraction, before I get into the cons I would like to get into the pros! The office was clean, bright and because the "rooms" were actually just open spaces you get a clear view of the office itself. They are also on top of their insurance billing (direct billing). The cons is mainly about the customer service/front desk and the dental procedure/detist. The service was extremely off-putting and no one on staff really seemed like they wanted to be there. The detist had extremely poor bed-side manner and was uncessarily forceful and lacked any finesse, care or attention. Although this was a relatively easy procedure and she may have done it countless times; my partner was scared and doesn't take to pain well. We felt that she could have handled the whole situation better. In fact, I have sat through more than half a dozen extractions either with myself, family and friends and never in my life have I witnessed something so harmful and violent. Not sure if this is typical, but she cracked all 4 of his teeth coming out. He is just happy to be alive with no permanent damage, but I don't think that is a good enough indicator of coming back to a clinic. From entering to leaving we were completely disatisfied

10/10 experience. Everyone here is so nice, today is my first visit with them and I totally love it. I love the warm, welcome greeting from the receptionist, she is so nice and patiently explain for all my question on the new patient form since my English is not really good, the office super clean, elegant and sanitize. The assistant ( Joanne ? ) is super cute, help me to calm my dental anxiety, she was wipe everything with sanitize wipe every time she touch it, from the door, equipment, seating area, she make me feel completely safe to go here during this sensitive time with COVID-19 situation, she is really professional and gentle when she know my gum is so sensitive. Last word I wanna to send thanks to DR.MARWAH, she is the most honest dentist that I every visit since I come to Canada, I had been to at least 4 dental place during 5 years living here and they all try to up sale me with brace and stuff, but she told me what I need to do and what she think I don't need it. She also make me feel complete different than another dentist with her experienced, knowledge and explanation.

Let me start by saying I had not been to the dentist in 11 years because of fear. I started to develop a brown spot I became very self conscious about so it was time to face the fear head on. Not once did a single member of the staff shame me or speak negatively about the horrible state of my teeth. I just finished my 4th appointment and can not say enough positive things about Dr. Rezania!!!! This amazing dentist has managed to completely change my smile and dental confidence. I am shocked … just absolutely shocked at the work this wonderful human has accomplished. I have now finished the repair portion of my treatment and have decided to continue with some cosmetic treatments to make my smile even better! A million thank you to Dr.Rezania, the many assistants, and initial hygienist who really worked some great magic. I wish I remembered your name so I could give you a shout out because you made me want to return. I am so grateful for what you have done for me!

Found this last minute when I had an ongoing pain (and after previous negative experiences with my family dentist over the years have been seriously avoiding going back at a different dentistry) and they immediately made time for me, so much so that they stayed 2 hours AFTER there posted closing times to help me. Very professional and friendly facilities and staff. Also Accommodating with the pricing of there services when informed I didn't have insurance, offering a percentage discount. Was made to feel welcome and comfortable the entire time I was being worked on, and since the first procedure, have gone back for more common services (teeth cleanings) because of the great people, and experience the first time. Would highly recommend this place for anyone who has need of a family dentist and also for personal use.

I've never had a better experience visiting the dentist. Was greeted immediately upon entering by the friendliest admin staff, who patiently calculated in front of me, what my benefits could cover and did extra research into my plan. The hygienist who did my cleaning was thorough, gentle, communicative and considerate. She was judgment free regarding my lifestyle habits and made me feel comfortable coming forward with questions. Also, stains and plaque gone - my teeth have never looked so clean! Dr. Marwah took the time needed to go through my imaging tooth by tooth, pointing out areas of concern, giving me my options. She is knowledgeable, unbiased, direct, and made sure I understood her findings. I highly recommend this clinic, operated by amazing women who are doing their jobs meticulously well! Thank you! :)

I went to Junction West dental after reading good reviews. The staff was helpful with insurance, costs and coverage information upon asking. X-rays were taken and tooth cleaning done. Dr.Rojia Rezania performed a tooth filling which didn't go well. She was not gentle during the procedure, and I felt pain even in a simple tooth filling. Later, I developed sensitivity while drinking and eating. This tooth was perfectly fine for years but now it has become an annoying pain . Though Dr.Rojia was kind to do the filling again, it didn't help and I don't know what to do to make the sensitivity go away. This could be a one off case but shouldn't the dentist offer a solution or know how to take care of this problem? Regret my decision now of getting the filling done by Dr.Rojia

I had a terrible experience, they don't inform you properly and it looks like they do that just to try to do the job that they are not prepared for just to keep for them the business/money. In the end, they had to refer me to the endodontist which is the right specialist for my problem, but I could go directly from the moment they detected my issue, if this office informed me of my options and let me take an informed decision. Now the endodontist had to start over with more difficulty because the area was already treated and it was difficulted to tell if there were more roots, and I have to spend more time, money and energy on this procedure. A procedure that could be done max in 3 appointments ended up being 5 or 6 appointments in total. I don't recommend this place at all.

I have been receiving treatment for my teeth at this clinic for over a year now and I'm constantly impressed by the level of attention, professionalism and care that the staff and drs at the clinic provide. You can tell they are a passionate and committed team working to patients are well-taken care of. I am terrified of getting anything done with my teeth and they have provided an encouraging and kind holding hand through all of it. I now have healthy teeth and my smile back!! I also commend them for the willingness and ease in which they accommodate all their patients no matter their needs and financial circumstances. I highly recommend this clinic and feel so happy that there is a safe place to go with any emergencies and long term care.

Better than my current dentist but very sketchy. They didn't tell us they'd charge the full fee to our insurance which btw coverage isn't 100%, they just said "we are waiting for insurance company to process it and we will let you know (via phone) what the outstanding balance is". It's been over 2 weeks and no call so I take it they took all our insurance money. I also felt the cleaning was very harsh, never bled so much from cleaning, and the staff were nice but felt like some of them didn't know what they were doing and have never worked with eachother before. TMI but I had drool drip down my face during cleaning cuz of their lack of coordination. Overall decent place but sketchy.

JunctionWest Dental is a very clean, state of the art dental office to say the least. The staff is so friendly, caring and comforting. They constantly make sure you are feeling fine during any type of service(cleaning, X-rays, cavity replacement, zoom whitening treatment) which was important to me as a trip to the dentist can be stressful. They were also able to take payment directly from my insurance company which was very convenient. The free zoom whitening treatment was a bonus and there were no additional fees for the treatment to be performed-it really was free! I highly recommend JunctionWest Dental to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.

I had an emergency in my tooth and I was afraid of not being able to get a dentist because of the covid, but here I had a very good treatment, they explains everything, they gave me options and they worked very well and very quickly. i'm a person who's not afraid to go to the dentist, but I always concerned about the result, and but here the result o good quality, here you’re in good hands the place is very well managed, is kept in constant disinfection and the people who attend (dentists, assistants and receptionists) are the best, definitely recommended.

They're by the far the cleanest dental office and they are thoughtful on the small things - They have a tv for you to watch while getting checked up in the chair so you aren't just counting ceiling tiles, they tap your shoulder to distract from pain when getting the freezing needle, they show you where your cavity is to inform you, etc. I was looking for a new local dentist too and found them by good reviews online, and was honestly so surprised at how pleasant the experience was. Highly recommend them.

I’m very particular about healthcare spaces and especially so for dental offices. The smell of an office can be off putting for me so I searched for a while before settling on this place. The office is very clean, pristine, airy with equally clean and pristine equipment. My visits are always good because my Dentist is great but my latest visit was even better because the new hygienist found a way to present old information with a flair I haven’t seen in a while. Great service!

Place is really great, everyone is super duper nice, they give you a printed out dental plan with all the costs after your x ray, which give you the piece of mind that theyre not taking advantage of customers. I reccomend this place to anyone who has severe dental anxiety, everyone is very gentle and accomidating. A tad more expensive than other places, but the comfort and piece of mind is well worth it. Oh and you can book appointments via text! Which is real handy dandy!

Just started my Invisalign treatment and the team at JunctionWest Dental has been amazing. From the consult everyone has been so kind and informative. The dentist is very detailed and takes their time to explain the entire treatment, and ensured I was comfortable with it and took their time to answer all my questions. The front desk team was also extremely detailed with explaining the process and financing. The best dental office I’ve ever been to 10/10

I had THE MOST AMAZING experience at JunctionWest Dental. Staff is really professional and caring. Service level is excellent and I am extremely happy with results. Worst dentist I have ever been to. Got 3 fillings on the left side of my mouth. Couldn’t chew on that side after the dentist because it was painful. Went back for her to fix the problem and she had an attitude. To this day I still cannot chew on that side of my mouth. Was informed that it was because she drilled down to the pulp of my teeth! I need to get my fillings redone because of the damage she has cause me. Worst dentist

Had the best experience here - I have an oral piercing and have been so behind on getting my regular dental cleanings so I was really nervous for my visit but everyone was so great at this office! Totally non-judgemental and gave me great suggestions for maintaining my gum health. They took the time to explain the whole process to me, even the equipment, for my routine check up. Best dental experience I've had so far. Thanks!

I recently had my first appointment at JunctionWest Dental with Dr. Rezania, and Lorraine (RDH). The care I received at this clinic must be commended! Dr. Rezania and Lorraine made me feel welcome and cared for. Lorraine is a gifted hygienist with a gentle touch. Everyone at the clinic was warm and friendly, and made my experience very positive. I am looking forward to continuing my dental care at this clinic.

Had to get three root canals done there. Two of them have failed by fault of the dentist, she should not be doing root canals! Stopped going there cause they tried to over charge me for procedures that were not necessary. Even when in tears about my financial situation they told me those were my only options. They were not. Would not recommend. Over charged and doing procedures they are not equipped for.

Kind, friendly, open environment. Staff were all very patient and polite and nothing felt forced. Hygienist that did my cleaning was very nice and explained what she was doing at every step, she also went the extra mile to Vaseline my lips so they don't dry out while she was working on my teeth! Overall my experience was a breeze at this location and I would recommend to my family and friends!

The team at JunctionWest Dental is professional, friendly, compassionate and are excellent dentists! I was terrified of going to the dentist and they made my visit as easy as pie. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pleasant dentist. I loved the CP24 TV feed visible during my cleaning which really kept my mind off my cavities! Dr. Rojia Rezania and Jessica are a great team!

The reception staff are friendly and accommodating. They make coming to the dental office a comfortable experience, which is not typically how people feel going to the dentist! Hygienist Yontela is wonderful — informative, great at her job and very kind. Dr. Rojia has done quite a bit of dental work for me. She is always soft natured and knowledgeable. She does an excellent job.

Going to the dentist is not my favourite thing, but I have to say that overall it was a pleasant experience. Our family doesn't have dental coverage, so they were kind enough to provide a courtesy discount. The office is clean and modern, the staff were happy and friendly and our appointments (family of 4) were on time. We will be back for sure.

Not up front about costs. I found the service decent here. Not great. But most importantly, they aren’t up front about costs. My dental care exceeded my insurance and they didn’t tell me in advance. Just a $250 bill. There are lots of good dentists who will also be pro-active and transparent about costs. Skip this dentist - they aren’t worth it.

Exceptional dental clinic with a friendly and knowledgeable front desk team who made me feel valued and welcomed. I was sent into Junction West Dental by a friend while pregnant and struggling with hormone changes throughout my mouth, they were so caring and gental I felt zero pain! Everyone working was so kind and were genuinely concerned about me and how I was feeling during my cleaning. I will definitely continue to return, I absolutely love this place!

I love this new office in the Junction! Awesome staff! I was referred by a friend and was very pleasantly surprised. The facilities are nice, spotless and boasting with new technology. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and I'm happy to have them in the area! Would definitely recommend.

Hadn't gone to the dentist in a long time (like a REALLY long time) and I was quite anxious. All my anxiety and nerves went away as soon as I walked through the door. Very cool and calm space. Everyone is so friendly and they are great listeners. They are very considerate. Never thought I could feel so at ease while having my teeth cleaned.

Dr. Rojia is an angel with children. Took my 4 year to see her as she had bad experience at another dental office and needed 4 cavities filled. She was so patient and sweet with my daughter got her to clam down and let her fill 3, just need to go back for one more. Highly recommend Dr. Rojia and the amazing staff at Junctionwest Dental.

Where do I begin... lies, intentionsl tooth damage or tried and true pain infliction? We all have choices don't go here to see Dr Rojia Rezania and her equal opportunity pain inflictor/damage creator assistant if we care about ourself and warn everyone of these characters if we are into public service. Rating = lowest of the lows.

Dentist was super aggressive, pushing a treatment plan optimized to bring him maximum revenue within 2 minutes of seeing me. Hygienist did a decent job so I made another appointment to see her. Upon arriving on my appointment on time, they made me wait 30 minutes and the hygienist I had booked with wasn’t even working.

Personable, warm, kind and supportive staff and doctors. I had multiple issues with my teeth and felt well taken care of by the clinic. They are passionate about providing caring patient support and accommodating the patient at every step providing great payment options. So happy to call this my home clinic now!

Dr. Al Naqueeb was incredible!! Had to get an emergency wisdom tooth extraction because of immense pain and it was completed in literally 30 seconds with no pain whatsoever. The overall service of the assistants and staff was amazing - very lovely people and lots of transparency with insurance/pricing.

Great experience. The staff here are kind, considerate and skilled professionals. I've been here twice for different reasons and will continue to come back for the great service. They are also very understanding if you're someone who is nervous when getting procedures done. I would highly recommend!

Amazing experience every time. I'm really nervous of the dentist and I never feel judged here. Had to have some dental work done and the fear of the freezing needle was too much and they took their time and worked with me to get the work done quickly and painless. Would definitely recommend.

Incredibly nice and pleasant staff. First time going back to the dentist (in much too long), and they took very good care of me while explaining all the steps and processes. Fixed a chip in my front tooth that had been bothering me for years and it looks so great! Could not recommend more.

The environment is welcoming and the staff are friendly and kind. If you have any kind of fear of dentists or dental procedures or equipment, they do an excellent job at reassuring and keeping you calm. I needed a dentist awhile back and looked them up. I'll never go anywhere else.

JunctionWest Dental is the only dentist I will go to. Their team all around is fantastic. Like many I am not a fan of getting dental work done, but the dentist and hygienists provide such great care and service and make me feel very comfortable. I cannot recommend this place more.

We have a family dentist but needed an emergency consultation at 7pm. The staff and dentist were all exceptional. COVID-19 protocols were followed, the care was quick and gentle, the advice professional and considered. I'm very grateful for the care my son received. Thank you!

At my first appointment, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I have some anxiety about dental appointments due to very sensitive teeth and gums and my hygienist put me quite at ease and was as gentle as possible. I'm already booked for my next appointment!

Best dental clinic i have been. They are very knowledgeable and transparent. Der. Mo is the best. I had my wisdom tooth extracted and never felt any pain from the procedure up to the post procedure. Never needed any pain reliever. I highly recommend!

Starting going here recently. Very professional and friendly staff with the most modern equipment. Love the bright modern design. Also love that it's a 5 minute walk from the house. They even take appointments on weekends and certain Sundays!

One star only because they were helpful in helping me manage my anxiety about the dentist. Other than that I went there to receive multiple fillings and they were not very upfront about pricing and continued to be very pushy about doing

Discriminatory and a wee bit snobby. I went in to ask if they accepted ODSP insurance and the receptionist was clueless and rather uncaring. They clearly do not help or cater to people with disabilities.
