A place only known to the locals residing here. It has multiples entries which are not well marked on the maps as well and a person visiting for the 1st time would find it difficult to identify the right road to the entrance. The lake is huge and one complete round of the lake is around 4km but one drawback is that the full round cannot be completed as there is a washed out ground at one point which has cut off the both sides. The lake could be well maintained as the drainage water is directly being dumped into the lake and the canals around the lake are also left open and the place smells a lot. Birds can be found here and maybe if the lake is well maintained, we could see the ecosystem to flourish here.

One of the most beautiful lakes around Bengaluru. Being a bit far from the crowded places in the city, it's generally empty and the nathual environment can be experienced better. The water and surrounding walking trails are clean. The gardens are well-maintained with beautiful flowers all around. There are different types of birds, the enviroment is so calm and noise-free that you can actually hear the birds chirping. Be careful with the entry poins shown in google maps. While it shows 3 points of entry, only one was open when I visited. The open point is one for which this review is written.

Total radius of 6.5 KM Nice place for morning and evening walk. Calm & peaceful location. There is a road cutoff at one side, after the temple. People also constructed a temple which is in a disputed land. No one using the temple for puja now because of dispute. It needs more development. The plants are getting dried up which needs regular maintenance. The plants need to be trimmed as it is covering the walk path. The swimming pool also needs to be maintained. Small park to kids' play and an open Gym will be greatly help.

Well maintained lake, It's quite big...The length of the perimeter of the lake is approximately 5km. At one side there is park. You will notice landscaping as well. Flowers and plants are also maintained here. One can find this place suitable for jogging, yoga, exercise etc. I noticed that one can buy fresh fishes right after entering the lake. Not sure if they are available there everyday or not. It feels great walking here. You can notice the upcoming big buildings all around the area.

Kanaka Sarovara Lake park, A getaway & hangout place to have some peaceful quality time from the crowded city. Opens at 4pm every evening till 7pm. It's filled with lush green trees and beautiful flowers. You can spot many birds here. And its so calm. Recommended to hangout alone, with friends or loved ones. Make sure to use the waste bins, don't litter this beautiful place!

It was indeed a discovery for us to find this amazingly serene place amidst the crowd. Beautifully maintained lake with greenery surrounding it ,the chirping birds and the burbles of the stream beside could be the perfect location for a either a leisure walk to spend an evening or to burn few calories early in the morning. If you are a nature lover, one of the best places to visit in Bangalore, is this lake. If you are a bird watcher, please arrive early, as early as 6 am. There are so many species I have not seen else where. Migratory birds too. Pelicans and cranes catching fishes are the best scenes in the morning. Keep walking, there are so many places to explore around the lake. Not to mention excellent collection of flower gardens. Too good to be true. If you visit please do keep it clean.

Great place in northeast Bangalore if you want to get some fresh air and not worry about the stink. Currently it’s about 4.5km trail around the lake but once it’s completed, it will probably be 6+ km. There is STP upstream of this lake which is why the water seems to be cleaner than some of the other lakes. Well laid walking trail & landscaping, plants makes the walk more fun. Good to see such a large lake being developed so well in the Bengaluru metropolitan area!

This place needs more work and uplifting. The paths are bumpy for run so make sure you are wearing the right shoes. Many spots on the path stink due to the drainage water inflow. Few routes are blocked due to unfinished work. The whole circle is a good distance for walkers and runners and is a good bird watching location.

3/4 fresh water 1/4 drainage water. Please wear a mask or take handkerchief while going there. There are two gates to this lake please use gates in Kalkere Horamavu Post becuase can get the freshwater view from the start and if you are using the gates in Ramana layout u will first see the drainage waters flowing.

A beautiful place to walk around and to do exercise and yoga. Although it smells very bad in a few spots while taking a complete round... But still it's a good place to visit. Be careful when you plan to take a complete round as they have dug in one place and you have to come back all the way back so far.

The lake is a perfect place for a walk or for relaxing but the thing is that the surrounding is so stinky from one side that at times it feels like you will start vomiting. You should follow the 2nd entry/exit via 8th cross road to visit this place.

It's a lake with a good walking track of 4.5km diameter.. Good for walking and jogging and other ground exercises.. No entry fee but the entry is restricted between 6 am and 9.30 am.. Not sure about the evening timing

Can go in vehicle and park near the lake . For short walk, go to left of gate and enjoy the small park. Be prepared to walk for an hour if you want to complete a round of the lake. Very refreshing.

Sewage linked lake, but maintained very neat. Looks and feels calm. Sunset view is really amazing. Still improvements are under progress, which I believe will take another year to finish. Until then looks like it is going to be dusty everywhere. Parking very important, but least development.

Good place to start ur morning. Just that the track is under construction at some points. Otherwise good place for morning or evening walk. Drainage smell is a negative though.

It's too big lake approx 5km radius around the lake. Walk way is not completely paved, but good for walking in the morning and evening time. Lake have Two entrances gates. Some places you me feel uncomfortable with bad smell of drain water. Overall it is good for walking.

One of the best lake in Kalkere and Horamavu. We are blessed to have this natural beauty very close to us. All age people can visit... But kindly do not litter the place. If you carry any snacks please carry the wrappers as not many dustbins are at the place.

It was very good but please dont go with google map suggestion better to ask the local people and get the guidance, as the google map will take you to the risky way stating that as shortcut but there is another route which is easy and roads are good to reach.

Peaceful and a long walk good to spend evenings here before sunset..there were bees but cud be seasonal. Extra maintenance is in progress

Beautiful and serene place. Remember cycles and vehicles are not allowed inside the park and there are also certain timings when the park is closed. Apart from tht it's realllyy calm and is a perfect place for an evening walk.

4.5km is one round of this lake. Good place for a evening timeout with family and friends. Open from 5-9am and 3-6pm. You also get fresh fish(dirty water though) if you visit by 7AM. For jogging, walking and running.

An absolute beauty. This lake is really a nice place to visit and refresh your self. It is a revived lake and the beauty around is just so nice. I haven't seen any lake as beautiful as this one in Bengaluru.

Absolutely classic... I bet 10 to 20% underground water around this area is because of this sea .. it's big lake...one around is 4+ km....love to see more development and boating kind of things.

Good in some places, really stinky in most places due to sewage contamination. Complete circle is not possible as bridge is broken in one place.

If you're coming please park your vehicles in KSM main Road only, Don't come and park inside 8th Cross... Road is very narrow and it is creating lot of trouble for local residence...
