"Went in last week"
This store has A LOT of room for improvement. There's too many issues to list here, but my main frustration was that they do not answer the phone. I called over 20 times during a course of a week with no answer. I finally went in to ask about my daughter's ring that was sent out to be resized. While I was there, they had 5 calls that were ignored by the staff. If your policy is to ignore the phone when customers are in the store, you need to set up a messaging system and return calls. On top of that, they had to send the ring out twice due to their lack of communication (they didn't realize it was for a child & thought the request was wrong) The only email I received was from the first time it was sent out showing that they received the ring. I was told I would receive an email stating when it was done as well as when it was back in the store/ready to be picked up. I never got any other emails from either time it was sent out and when I did go in the store to inquire about it, they stated they tried to call me 4 days before and couldn't leave a message even though I have voicemail set up on my phone and no missed call from them & they only attempted once without following up or emailing. I won't even go into the criticism we received from 2 employees about the ring my daughter picked out with her dad being too large for her... But after 42 days, my daughter finally has her ring back. I don't look forward to dealing with them again for the maintenance plan.
My fiancé bought me a beautiful engagement ring at Kay’s in November 2013. The ring was beautiful, but I noticed that the center stone was crooked (it was surrounded by halo diamonds, making it even more obvious). We went to the Kay Jeweler’s in West Towne Mall in Madison, WI (where he bought it), and the sales lady was incredibly rude about our inquiries to fix it, making comments like “Yeah, we can send it in for repair, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t think they overcorrected it when you get it back.” So yeah, a little peeved at their lack of professionalism. I was in San Antonio over Christmas, and we decided to go to a different location for a second opinion. We went to the Rolling Oaks Kay Jewelers, and the sales associates Phillip and Denise noticed right away that the stone was crooked. Denise, who was very knowledgeable about the jewelry and concerned with us leaving the store happily, offered to switch out the ring with one they had in the store. This new ring was perfectly centered, and we were so relieved that they took our satisfaction with an expensive purchase seriously. I am so happy that we were able to talk to Denise and Phillip- they made a lot of apprehension about our purchase go away. Ask for Denise of Phillip if you go to the Rolling Oaks Kay Jewelers- they will take care of you!
I drug my boyfriend here while we were in the area because we have been looking at rings. When we walked in, Megan greeted us and was immediately super helpful and knowledgeable. She allowed me to look at rings and even showed me how I could customize different looks. Lina came over and greeted my boyfriend, shaking his hand. I was very confused at first because I had never met her before and did not know how she knew my boyfriend. She then proceeded to tell me that my boyfriend was at the location earlier in the day when I was at my appointment and was looking at the exact ring I wanted by himself (then proceeded to tell me that he set up an account and was looking to buy the ring). I looked over at my boyfriend and he seemed very upset. Lina completely ruined the surprise for us. She then proceeded to attempt to pressure my boyfriend into buying my engagement ring right then and there, as if I wasn’t sitting right next to him. I just wish we were able to keep the element of surprise but unfortunately it was slightly taken away from us /:
Started off by going to Jared’s to find a gift for my girlfriend I found a couple of bracelets that I might possibly buy but I wanted to try other stores went to Kay’s jewelers in the forum while shopping I found a really nice bracelet which I purchased but I had ask the sales associate if it didn’t fit my girlfriends wrist could the take links out or fix it to fit but I was going to Amarillo could they do it there if I needed and she told me yes they could do gave the bracket to my girlfriend and of coarse it needed links taken out so it would fit properly so I took the bracelet to Kay’s in Amarillo and then was informed that for them to take links out that it would be a $60 dollar charge and that it would take three weeks for it to be done and they would have to send it out was not informed about all of that when I purchased it so then I was very frustrated so went ahead and had it done waited the two weeks then a couple days after I got the bracelet back it’s now broken again all in all not a good experience at all
Went in last week. Staff greeted us and apologized to us for the wait even though it was only like 5 minutes max and with COVID and everyone spending stimulus money, we were not worried about the wait. Staff showed us everything and was not a drop off pushiness. All 3 ladies, including the store manager where SUPER nice and talked to use like they where our friends of many years. Some places appreciate your business, and want to make the sale, and these women made it comfortable to come back anytime to let my wife spend my money. I never wanted to step foot in a Kay store again after being treated as a thief, and ruining an anniversary gift surprise by blowing up our home phone to retrieve jewelry THEY accidentally gift wrapped with the item I purchased. My wife could not find what she was looking for so I took her here in a last ditch effort and we are glad that we found this store. This store manager and staff was the complete opposite. We didn't find the ring but my wife bought a pair of very nice earrings.
Was sold a ring for $1500 after going home I started looking on Kay's catalog (which I should have done before I purchased anything from there) Found same ring for $900!!!!!! Went back next day and the sales person didn't even seem to care. I asked "don't you know what you have on sale" she just ignored the question. Then I was told I had to wait on manager to get my REFUND!!!!(which I was told he was in a meeting out of store) I told them something had to be done, so TERRIBLE sales person that sold me ring finally fixed it which saved me $500!!!!! (After taxes and insurance) Then they sent my statement to my old address because once again they don't care after I told them 4 times!!!! (I'm still waiting it's been 3 weeks) ANYONE buying from Kay's at rolling oaks make sure you do some research!!! These sales people have no idea on what's on sale and have the WORST customer service!!! I have been a customer for over 10 years but I would NEVER go back to Kay's!!!!
Been going to this store multiple times and everytime this one lady that works there its always belittling my purchases and past purchases. Went to buy my wife a bracelet and the whole time she kept insisted on buy a $1000 bracelet when my wife is perfectly content with a $250 one. When my wife went to have her ring cleaned and whatnot she insisted the "rock" wasn't big enough and the my wife needed to have me buy another one. To which she responded that she's happy with the one I've picked out. I have had to deal with this lady for about 3 different purchases and I will not be going back to this location and I will make it a point to drive to another location that doesn't have her in it. I get the selling of products but not to the point that you're belittling customers that are still spending money.
Absolutely disgusted with this company AND location. If you are there to maintain your jewelry do not expect service of any kind. If they are not going to make money off of you, or think they will make a sale, you are basically non existent. Also, make sure you tell them you are there for an inspection, not only a cleaning. I thought I was clear, but apparently the FIVE times it was taken to be cleaned and looked at this past year meant nothing. I have never felt so taken advantage of by a company, and Im utterly beside myself with the way they conduct themselves. A lady with a heavy accent is the worst of them all, as rude as they come. The manager Nick wants to defend his worthless employees, versus help the customer. SCREW KAY'S. I'm sorry I spent my money with this company.
The manager at this location is extremely rude. I came here to get my ring sized, instead of sending it out I was more interested in getting a spacer because this was my engagement ring...I wasn’t going to wear it that long so I figured the spacer would be just fine. They were going to charge me only $20 so I though great, it’s inexpensive and I’ll get it back same day... when she handed it to me she basically just wrapped silver wire around it (my ring was rose gold) it was awful and the wire was facing out and not secured properly...it looked cheap. I put it on and it automatically scratched me. She gave me attitude when I asked for a refund and to have it removed. When I handed it back to her she just removed it with her nails. It was a joke. Don’t come here.
With the exception of Lina, this store has the rudest, unprofessional staff. Not just this instance, but other times we have been there before. And though the hours are clearly posted on the door, you can expect to have someone quickly lock the door as you're walking up, after making eye contact with you and tell you "Sorry, we have to eat". completely unacceptable. I can understand a lunch, however there is an appropriate way to treat customers. Shutting the door in somebody's face is not one of them. She was not the only one in the store either. If I didn't really love and want that particular ring, I'd absolutely return it. We were considering purchasing a necklace for our daughter, but I will never shop at this store again. Wish I could give zero stars.
My mother gave my wife 36 years ago a ring she had designed and had made at a jewelry store when I was a kid over 50 yrs ago for my wife's wedding ring. In October we took the ring to Kay's jewelry in Selma, TX to get it resized. it was sent off and came back in December which they kept saying it didn't come in to try to hide that it was stolen. Then in Jan we got a call from the manager and found out my wife's ring, my now dead mothers ring was gone and was told that yes it came in back in December but it was either stolen or thrown in the trash by an employee. This has ripped our hearts in two and this can never be replaced. But what do they care it was only a special designed one of a kind now antique ring from my mother who passed away 19 yrs ago.
I bought my wife a ring for valantines day here and even though it's been a good 3 months since I'm still so upset about it I finally decided to write a review. When I bought the ring I was not sure on her ring size she's usually a 6 or 7 but they told me they would resize the ring for free if it didn't fit her. She loved the ring but it was too big on her so I took back to the store so it could be resized. They ended up keeping the ring for over 3 weeks! I would call but they would always tell me next week next week. When they finally returned the ring it was damaged and not resized at all. It still fits her just as loose but now it's broken from the bottom. Never coming here again STAY AWAY!
Very rude and unprofessional store associates working 10/7/2020 evening. Website says they’re open until 7. I get there at 6. When I walk in the door, both employees begin complaining aloud that they’re going to be there all night if they don’t close the doors. All I needed was a ring sizing. Another customer mentioned the website store hours as 7 as well. Guess the employees are making their own hours. Have not been able to get my ring inspected in months due to Covid and they want to be rude on top of it! Will not return to this location. All you needed to say was “ma’am we’re closing”. I don’t appreciate your passive aggressiveness. My fiancé and I will find wedding bands somewhere else.
The manager is a douchebag! He's the guy with the middle eastern -type accent. (There's nothing wrong with where he's from--just pointing out which one he is in case you visit this store.) He comes across rude and condescending and acts annoyed that he has to help you. My order was supposed to be in last week. Instead of looking into what the delay was, he said he would pass my info on to the salesperson who originally helped me (he was out the day I came to check on the order). The manager said he would have the salesperson call me to sort it all out. He is lazy in addition to being rude. I won't be giving this store any more of my $, that's for sure.
A bunch of thieves at this store! Had my wedding ring customized, they kept the stones that were replaced in the wedding ring. Blamed the 3rd party company that they sent the ring to for the work. My husband also tried to have earrings made for me for a Christmas gift. Charged his card 7k and it is past Valentine's day and still no earrings. Again they blamed it on the 3rd party company. He told them to cancel order and now they are still charging him $600 for a 2" plastic mold that conveniently appeared suddenly when he told them to cancel. Very poor work ethics the manager and employees have at this store! Go else where!

I bought my husband's wedding band here and we had a horrible experience! The ring came in two months late and they pretty much blew me off when I would call and inquire where his ring was. The manager was very arrogant and I feel sexist and treated me way differently than he did my husband. RIDICULOUS! We ended up having to go through their headquarters just to get his ring. I'll NEVER buy through this location again. I'm so glad my husband got my engagement ring and bands at Stone Oak Jewelers. Take your money there. They are wonderful people with beautiful jewelry!!
You should definitely buy your Jewelry at this Kay location. Gilda is a wonderful representative and helped me out through my whole process of getting my little sister a necklace for her birthday. If you have any questions at all, Gilda will most definitely help answer those questions and make sure you have a better understanding on anything while also keeping an upbeat and friendly attitude to ensure you have a great experience. Thank you to Kay Jewelers for helping me get a piece of Jewelry that my sister will cherish forever.
We just bought our wedding rings! Manager Lina was super helpful and made our experience one of a kind. She welcomed us and immediately started asking questions to truly capture our vision. Right away Lina pulled out many different options to help find our perfect rings. We walked in expecting to just look for mine but ended up getting rings for me and my fiancé. She was professional, helpful and just overall welcoming. We recommend coming and asking for Lina to make your experince memorable.
New women money hungry and just didn't care about the customer. Handed my wife's ring back after barely cleaning it with a tooth brush, which is something I could have done at home. Horrible service will try to go back again and hopefully see some familiar faces that always help me out. oh yeah and the way she handed it back to me is the reason why I'm writing this review. She practically threw it at me and just walked away. NO thank you for coming or goodbye which I'm used to.
I brought my ring in for a repair. It was promised 2 weeks after I dropped it off. It took 5 weeks. No one called to inform me it would take longer. I called 3 different times and got 3 different excuses. After all of that, I called again only to find out my ring had been ready for 2 days but no one called to inform me. No one apologized or even cared that I was unhappy. I will NEVER go back, not even for a cleaning. I highly suggest going to ANY other jewelry store!!
Timothy, the new store manager, helped us out right away with sizing my engagement ring! He was super quick and very friendly. He gave us all the details we needed on when the ring would be ready. He also Informed me that I was able to solder my promise ring with the engagement ring, which I didn't even know was possible. Lol. I'm excited to have both bonded! I guess I can also bond my wedding ring with the 2 if I wanted when the time comes! How cool! Thanks Timothy!
I just finished talking to a representative , Lina, over the phone and she helped me by texting me a few options of necklaces that I would like to purchase, since my phone's internet isn't cooperating at the moment. I mean she really assisted me, she sent me like 10 different options and was very thorough in the description and just everything in the process. If you ever go to this location, definitely ask for Ms. Lina top notch employee
Absolutely the most disappointing experience I've had! I've spent $1000s at this location and I'll never give this place another dime. For a "luxury branded store", it was horrendous! The representatives weren't responsive, made multiple attempts for assistance, never received any. Others came AFTER we arrived and were helped. The representatives weren't dressed professionally and failed to value the customer! POOR all round, nothing positive to say.
Honestly the best jewelry store I've ever been too. Adam was very kind and helpful, even when it wasn't pertaining to a question about jewelry for myself he still took the time to help me. Honestly don't know why more people don't shop at this Kay's, when I went to the one at North Star I was pretty disappointed in the service myself and my friend received. But thankfully this Kay's rectified the situation ten fold! Thank you so much Adam and Leo!
My husband shops here a lot and always buys the most beautiful pieces of jewelry for me and our daughter. Today I went in there and I was so excited because my ring came in early. I had it resized and only paid $59 for the resizing. Evelyn was the woman who helped me today and she was so nice and shared my same excitement. I always feel comfortable with each person who helps me. They are so very nice and helpful. I absolutely love going there.
Horrible management charged me 600 bucks for a $20 plastic mold had to call district manager in which my money was reimbursed but the so called manager couldn't explain why he charged me. Had some repair work done on my wife's ring. The ring came back but mysteriously the two sapphires didn't. After 4 months of complaining and finally threatening to press charges the two sapphires are at the store the next day...?
These guys have destroyed my beautiful wedding ring that I've had for 18 years. After about 4 attempts to straighten my diamond they still can't do the repairs correctly and this time the wedding band doesn't fit flush with the engagement ring. If I knew then what I know now I would have gone with a reputable jeweler. I'm extremely dissatisfied and saddened every time I look at my once beautiful ring.
Waited 15 minutes to get some help with a watch, lady walked past me and assisted someone else who just walked through the door after I asked for help and was told to wait. I proceeded to ask another employee for help with my watch and he brushed me off and told me they were too busy to help me today. Told me to “come back after Christmas”. Definitely see why they’re so poorly rated.
This store is anti-second amendment with 30.06 (concealed carry) posted. Don't like the fact that I have to disarm myself just to enter their store as a licensed carry holder. So, a crook who doesn't obey the sign can come in and rob it and I can't stop them and putting myself in harms way of being shot. Glad I won't do business with them. My safety is more important than a sale.
Located in Selma at the forum. My favorite location. Every time I work with Gilda, she is always so kind and helpful. Always assists me whenever I have a problem or want to buy something new. Manager Saul is also so very kind and helpful. They are my go to people. I have tried to go to the new Braunfels location and I never feel welcome. This location is it for me. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The lack of training the manager provides at this location is inexcusable. The employees are not trained to do their jobs probably and it shows. I am shocked that the male manager (rhe one with an an accent) who works at this location still has his job, he should be fired. Due to his lack of professionalism, kays has lot the business of a long time customer.
Staff is incredibly rude! Every time I go in without my husband I have problems with every time I have worked with. I went in about a week ago to get a prong fixed and the lady that "helped" me was so rude I ended up having to call my husband to talk to her. They are always nicer to him than they are to me. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
Kay’s has bend a top favorite jeweler store and has never failed me in the quality of their jewelry and the fine customer service, especially the care, time, and great effort of care that Lina has shown me. She goes the extra mile to ensure that the quality of customer service is as exquisite as the quality of their fine jewelry.
I love Kay Jewelers at as a company but the employees at this location are extremely uneducated. Called to have a simple question answered about charges on resizing a wedding ring, after 5 transfers to different people, they come to the conclusion to just bring it in. Why wouldn't they just tell me that to begin with?
Sent my wedding band and engagement ring off to be re-dipped. Picked them up today and the center stone is NOT in the center at all. It’s pushed all the way to one side and the lady, Lina, kept saying how good of a job they did even after I pointed this out. I’m sorry but this is NOT what a good job looks like!
Lina was busy with other customers, and the other worker was on the phone with someone. I was waiting and a couple walked in, she hung up the phone and went to help them. Never once asked me what I needed, note she saw me waiting there but completely ignored me. Thankfully Lina is friendly and helpful.
The store manager ,Kelly was amazing. She resolved an issue ,called me with info and got my watch back after 4 months out for repair. Better management than when they were at Rolling Oaks Mall. It was nice to find someone who cared. Thank you Kelly.
I've been by twice. Both times no one helped me. The first time it was a little busy, so I came back. There were three people working and no customers, but I was not acknowledged. I look young, but am not. I felt judged and will not be coming back.
This place is horrible. Took a watch in to get some links taken out of the metal band. It took them less than 10 minutes and was charged $40! My mistake was walking into the store and thinking they weren't crooks. Steer clear of this place!
Lina was AMAZING! And cheerful and very suggestive based on our preferences. We were treated with nothing but kindness and generosity. As newly weds, they made our day even more special! On top of a major discount above 25%off!!! Bravo!!
Went to go get my ring resized today and Gilda went out of her way to take care of me, even including setting up my “jewelry box”, and explaining to me what it was and how it works. Such a sweet lady, if you go here ask for her!!!
Tim the manager and Gilda the sales representative was so helpful and very patient with the rings I wanted. I'm a very happy customer and I would recommend Kay Jewelers in the Forum shopping center in Selma,Texas to anyone!!!
Came to look at rings with my partner not sure what I wanted at first. Lina and Timothy were super patient with us and helped us find what worked for us! So pleased with todays service! You guys are the best!
Lina, made my shopping experience pleasant from the second I walked in the door. I left feeling great and at easy with my purchase. With the excellent sale I was able to save way more money than I thought.
Lina was so helpful. She kept me informed through the whole process of getting work done on my wedding ring. She was patient with my questions and super kind! I’m very pleased.
Lina was the absolute best! She was extremely knowledgeable and had a fantastic eye. She took our likes and dislikes and found us the two wedding bands of our dreams!
Lina was absolutely wonderful. Offered great options and really focused on the customers needs. She made it an enjoyable process and I’ll definitely come back.
Lina was SO helpful!! We had been shopping for wedding bands so many times & we both found bands we loved right away. Her energy was awesome and so friendly!
Kay Jewelers definitely stands behind their products. I've never had a problem with getting wedding rings and other items inspected, cleaned, or repaired.
Bad service! Couldn’t even acknowledge a client whom was waiting for over 15 minutes. Not even a glance or a “hi”, much less a “I’ll be right with you”.
Very helpful on our next plan to getting what we're looking for. Didn't know Kay has so much diversity. Thank you Timothy for being extremely helpful.
Tim the store manger was amazingly patient, kind, and very informative, couldn’t have made a decision without him. He really goes above and beyond!!
