I don’t usually leave many reviews, but for this auto shop, I had to! I went to Rick and Katie as I thought I needed my brake pads and rotors replaced. they were AMAZING. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of this family owned repair shop. Not only did they put the car up on a lift and take off the tires to look with me if I needed to replace anything (If I didn’t they said there was no use replacing them) and showed me in detail what needed replacing and why. It was so refreshing to speak with honest people who were trying to do right by their customers and not trying to get more money when they could. Not only that but when I told them that I was not sure about some work that a previous shop had done, without hesitation Katie asked me for the itemized receipt that the former shop had given me to ensure that everything they claimed was done was indeed done. They replaced my brake pads and rotors and I couldn’t be happier. The brakes feel great and I have not had any issues.I didn’t even need to wait, I left the car with them the next morning and it was done by the afternoon. I’m ecstatic to have such a honest and great repair shop in my neighborhood and will definitely be going to them for anything I need!

I've been going to this location for years, but now that they're under new management, I've gotta say that the customer experience has improved drastically. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by the very helpful and nice ladies at the reception desk. Then I talked to Rick, the experienced mechanic, about my car's problems. I left the car with them and went home since I live nearby. 2 hours later, the car was fixed and ran perfectly. For anyone who lives in the neighborhood like I do, it's perfect. They'll call you when your car is ready and you can walk over and pick it up. I definitely recommend Rick and his staff.

I had such a positive experience with KNR. Everyone at the shop is great and Katie was so kind and helpful with my car repairs. She graciously handled working with the insurance appraiser after the accident and they repaired my car beautifully. There's no trace of the significant damage that was done to the side of the vehicle. Her communication at every step was fantastic and her warm nature made the experience a lot less stressful than it could have been. So happy to have their shop in LIC!

Came in for a Vehicle Inspection. The owner tried to pull the "you need new brake pads" argument with my wife BEFORE he would even start inspection on the vehicle. He also tried to prevent her from taking the vehicle back to take it to another shop. He intimidated her and ultimately refused to even start inspection on the vehicle. The last maintenance on the vehicle in question by the dealership was 2 months ago and the brake pads were replaced. This owner is a deceptive person.

This is where you bring your car when you have any issue, big or small. Honesty and trust are two qualities difficult to find in a mechanic - but Rick and his team demonstrate these qualities 100 times over. I've been bringing my cars here for over 10 years - from simple inspections and oil changes - to new breaks and rotors - to collision repair - and everything has been perfect. Price is beyond fair, communication is great, and turnaround time is fast. Look no further.

Rick and Kate run a family owned and operated business with class and professionalism. I’ve been taking my car(s) to them for 3 years now and they always give me their honest opinion and do exceptional work. They tell me when I don’t need to worry about something and they also tell me when something should be fixed. All I can ask for and will continue giving them my business for as long as I’m in NYC!

KNR is the best repair shop in LIC! Family owned and run, they treat you with respect and are very thorough. Rick and his wife Katie treat everyone with respect and deliver exceptional service. Went there with a few issues in a matter of days and each issue was explained so I could understand and repaired beautifully. Would recommend their service to everyone!!

Had my car window broken into, was scrambling to find an auto body shop in the area, found them based on high reviews on Google. Katie was great, helped expedite the whole process and I got my car back within 2 days at a reasonable price. Great people, true to their word, and they believe in building relationships with their customers. Will come back again.

HONEST MECHANIC!!! I am so relieved to finally find an honest mechanic. As a woman, I am always worried about being taken advantage of at mechanics. This shop is family owned and they treat you as you are part of theirs. They explained what's wrong and even showed me how to take care of the issue if it happens again! I will never take my care anywhere else.

I took my car in for a routine vehicle inspection and was told it cannot be done without a replacement of brake pads. I was surprised bc the car had just gone through maintenance at the dealership. I decided to take the car elsewhere to double check. The second auto shop took about 50 minutes to check everything and sid everything looked good.

Rick and his family are good people. Came here a few months ago because I thought I needed to change my brake pads, and left my car there. Upon inspection, Rick called me back and told me I had at least another 20k miles before I needed to change it, and didn't charge me a dime. Have gone to him for other maintenance as well. Nice and honest!

I can't say enough great things about this place, Rick and the rest of the staff are always welcoming and know me by name. Every time I bring my butterfly in they service her and the prices are more than reasonable. If you are looking for a family own and ran mechanic KNR is the place for you. The absolute best body shop in the neighborhood (maybe all of New York?)! Extremely professional, fast and honest business owners. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else to get repairs except here. I went to several other body shops in LIC and Katie was the only one who gave me an honest and fair price. Can't recommend KNR enough!

Rick is an excellent mechanic, he gives you an honest quote and tell you what needs to be fixed now and what you can fix later depending on your budget. My family has been taking our vehicles to his shop for nearly 20 years. I don't do google reviews but he is the best mechanic in nyc.

KNR Auto have been my go-to mechanic for the past 3 years. They are honest, communicative, and get the job done right. I couldn't recommend them more. Even though I no longer live nearby, I come back to make sure that my car is working well.

Rick is seriously the best. I was worried about a rattling noise in my car so my brother in law recommended this shop in his neighborhood. Rick hopped in and we drove around until the noise happened again and Rick knew exactly what was up.

I had animals chew on electrical wiring. Rather than the $3,500 from the dealer for a new wiring harness, they fixed the old one for $300. They could have told me I needed a new one and made a lot more money. An honest mechanic is a gem.
