For our kitchen reno we used Kato, with Walter being our electrician. He came out to do a quote, and within a day we had a formal quote from Kato. We decided to proceed with them and Walter came to do the rough in. He moved 2 pendant lights over by about a foot, added a new fixture for a chandelier with a new switch, added new outlets for the increased countertop space, wired in undercabinet lights, relocated our wall oven and added additional outlets for the microwave and appliance garage. Once the cabinetry was installed he came back to complete the work mounting the lights and even helped my husband get the oven and cooktop in. He was quick to work, was extremely friendly and willing to lend a hand in moving the oven when that wasn't something he was meant to do. When the work was done I got very clear and thorough invoicing that was exactly as expected. I would absolutely use Kato in the future.

I wanted to swap switches and thermostat in my apartment to ones that integrate with Alexa. I went with Kato Electrical as it had really good Google reviews. Reviews were right: - free cost estimation, - adjusting price so that it's competitive in Vancouver area, - good communication, - adapting to last minute schedule changes, - fast installation. I'd gladly use Kato's services again. Kyle has overcome all issues - some switches didn't fit because of too small box and despite that he managed to install everything as planned leaving both wall and switches in perfect condition. The only bad side is no cleanup after replacing switches, but this one is on me. On the last minute I asked Kyle to come 30 minutes later and we agreed to skip cleanup, to not break schedule with next customers on that day.

We had a great experience with Kato Electrical, in particular with Jason, our electrician. We had lost power to 6 outlets and a couple of switches in our living room, and Jason was able to methodically troubleshoot the problem and trace the very hard-to-find wire that was burnt out. He was relentless and determined to fix the issue, and his vast electrical knowledge and experience helped him find the solution. All throughout the process, he was explaining his approach to solve the problem, so I was also able to gain a bit of electrical education from him. I would recommend Jason for any electrical fix. Our electrical issue was not an easy one and Jason found the solution. Thanks Kato Electrical, you have the best electricians in the business!

Julian, our electrician (note I said “OUR electrician” as we want him in the future) was on time and ready to go to work. A charming man, who was great at his job. Instead of just repairing the outlets and switches he discovered a mistake that out condo electrician s were supposed to “pigtail” the aluminum wiring with copper. The job required some things that were not included in the retrofit. He fixed it up and went on his way. He was so quick and competent that were thrilled to have our lights switchable again!!! We needed to upgrade our electrical service from 100 to 200 amps to accommodate a new heat pump, along with our EV charger, and Jason did a fantastic job. The electrician, Mani, came to our house to install the EV charger. There were some hiccups at the beginning, but Mani had spent extra time onsite to fix the problem and installed the charger successfully. He is so professional, friendly and gave us good suggestions on how to get the somewhat complicated job done. Their price is fair, and we are 100% satisfied with the service. We will hire them to do any electrical work for our house in the future.

Service was prompt and reliable. We’re very happy with the installation/fix they performed. It still feels like paying almost $500 for something that took them less than half an hour to do is quite expensive, but it’s not like Kato is any more expensive than others. So if I’m going to spend that much, it may as well be with an organization that is prompt and reliable. Whether we should ‘have’ to pay this much, on that I have mixed feelings.

Kato Electrical was great from the moment I emailed them for a free estimate until the time Julian completed the work. I was emailed back within an hour to schedule a free estimate. Julian was polite and professional in his assessment and completed the work quickly and efficiently. Doing a house renovation, especially on your own, can be hectic. I’m really glad I found the team at Kato. What matters to me in finding tradespeople is a positive attitude that things can be done, and responsiveness. Others instead can be more cynical and flaky. In February 2022, I blew some circuit breakers and caused the outlets in my bathrooms to stop working. I shopped around for an electrician and stumbled upon Kato Electrical. The quote was reasonable and the electrician Julian was prompt and very friendly. He recommended installing better surge protection on the panel for the house as it wasn't the first time I blew an outlet. Overall a good experience.

Wow they are incredible. I highly recommend. They came by to check out an electrical issue to provide a free quote. Drove all the way out to my site and in the end didn’t even charge me, because it turned out to be a tripped gfci. This is how you build great reputation in the space.
