My children have been treated so poorly at this school and their teachers' have lacked the skill to motivate them and engage them in the classroom and in the playground. They have not been treated with respect and I have not felt that this is a safe, compassionate and interested environment to raise children for the future - with problem solving skills and understanding of diversity and differences: especially, intellectual. I read another review that the teachers are known to gaslight (stalk with malicious intent and bully) and this concerns me because vulnerable parents, especially within the confines of NSW, are often subject to malicious rumours as well as unwarranted FACS visits (seems to be a rural/regional NSW problem).

Katoomba Public School does not even deserve a one star rating. I was repulsed by the disgraceful lack of equality and integrity displayed by the Principle. The dishonest behaviour and gas lighting by the Support Unit staff highlights the overall lack of integrity this school offers. The school councillor is as helpful as a bucket with a hole in it - utterly useless. Bullying is a serious problem at this school. I withdrew my child from this school due to a serious case of negligence by Support Unit staff.

Caring is the first thing that comes to mind when you think if this school. From the friendly office staff that seem to know each child by name and treat the children with respect, to the amazing teachers. My granddaughter blossomed under the care of her great, hardworking teachers. I could not rate this school high enough.

Around 7 years ago I started this school in kindergarten and I used to always go into their library and play a marble game on the computers. Other than that it was a horrible school since it's Katoomba primary school anyways so what would you expect ahah. Never going back.

Do your child a favour, don't send them to this school. Terrible experiences, the principle has the worst attitude and protects staff misconduct.
