This place is absolutely perfect for taking a break if you are exercising or before / after work. You just have to walk a little bit from the track or the street if you park over there for a little bit. Just look at the flow of the Saskatchewan river, take a few deep breaths and feel like all the heavy things or the tiredness in your body goes away with the flow of the river. It is a really good place to watch the sunset, very romantic spot too. In spring or summer it could be difficult to find the correct time for the sunset, but the wait is worth it. If you are walking or biking around this place, you have to stop here.

Beautiful view of the North Saskatchewan River as it meanders the river valley. Great learning moment for younger children seeing the former flood plains now being populated by new homes. Perfect place to see how the river has taken the path of least resistance over the centuries. You can also see the evidence of the power behind the rivers flow eroding the cliffs around and beneath you. Left me, once again. In awe of the power and magnificence of Mother Nature. And the peace and serenity surrounding you as are caught in the beauty of the moment

Stopping off at End of the World (as locals know it), after an interesting and informative Jane's Walk. @WalkableYEG, @YEGardenSuites & @PlanEdmonton did a great job showcasing Belgravia neighbourhood. Construction of the new, safer lookout over the North Saskatchewan River is almost done. Stairs are finished, viewing platform and railing done. Just waiting for the access road to be surfaced. Wondering also about bike lockups at the top of the hill, for those uncomfortable with pushing or riding up/down?

Beautiful place to chill for a bit. Lots of cyclists on the trail. The view is pretty nice and is a beautiful location to watch sunrises and sunsets. If it’s busy parking might be a little hard to find. The only downside I found was that the fences were too high making it very difficult to get pictures with the actual backdrop but I do understand the necessity of the fences and if not complaining!

We went on a very nice walk along the trails. It was very beautiful along the river, but we found ourselves in an area that was off limits. It was a good trail and couldn't see any danger. It made us feel a little like a criminal. I was always looking over our shoulder. Bad feeling for doing nothing but going for a walk. While we were there we saw several propel on the top get taken aside by the police. Not sure if they were fined for enjoying the view.

Totally awesome lookout point to see fantastic views of the Edmonton river valley. It’s easily accessible and and not to long of a walk to get to the lookout spot. I can say that because I came with my 75 year old parents and they had no problem with the short walk to the lookout. There is no washroom facilities here. The City of Edmonton has done a fantastic job of making this an enjoyable place to visit.

Breathtaking view of the river valley; I dare say one of the very best, a good selection of benches to take in the picturesque view while observing physical distance. Many lovely dogs running in the distance at anyone time with small groups of people/owners socially distant enjoy the view and the sun. Overall a wonderful atmosphere for a morning jog, afternoon picnic or an evening stroll.

Great place to visit when in Edmonton. Keep in mind, parking is limited With only a small stretch of road reserved for parking. Many great trails nearby and a short walk down a winding slope leads to the Saskatchewan River. Alternatively, if you walk opposite the parking area, you'll find Is a flight of stairs leading down to a viewing area of a river.

Update: with the city making this area accessible to the public, I wanted to update my review. The city added hideous fences all around, although they did build a staircase. They took the trees that sort of guarded the entrance to the cliff. Other than this, its very beautiful to look out over the North Sas, and I highly recommend.

I enjoy taking my kids to explore hidden gems in the city. This is a great place to stop off and take in an amazing river valley view. It’s not a “natural” spot anymore as it’s been turned into a lookout with a concrete platform which makes it safer if you’re going with young kids. It’s a fun spot to sit and draw/paint.

A lookout at the of the end of the Whitemud Park walking trail in the Belgravia area. The lookout overlooks the river valley to the north. Great views of the river, Edmonton Valley Zoo and Hawrelak Park. One person who happened to be there said it's named after a road that used to go through there.

  • Kelly Roy

This is such a beautiful spot in our amazing river valley trail system, I frequently walk and bike ride here on a regular basis , just a reminder to pick up after your pets and take your garbage with you there are lots of garbage cans so please use them and keep our parks clean and safe !!

  • augustandmichelle domingo

Beautiful view overlooking the North Saskatchewan River. Nice to seat and relax and enjoy the view. We parked on the Whitemud Park and walked more or less 2 km. Paved pathway. Good for walking and biking. Some gradual uphill along the way. We will visit this place again.

  • Avery B.

Easy access compared to a few years ago. The view is just beautiful and the spot is quiet. I don't recommend bringing young children or untrained/unruly dogs here just for safety reasons of course. There are no trash cans, so make sure to clean up after yourself.

  • Steffen Toxopeus

One of the best views of the North Saskatchewan River. Previously known as End of the World. In the summer, you can watch the comings and goings of the rowing club across the river as well as the boat launch for power boats and paddlers. Just soak it all in.

  • Julie May

Excellent spot for lunch. This is along the off leash walking trail, which seems odd to me. Nobody has ever been hurt here, despite the appearance of danger. So, please be responsible and keep children close. Bicycle riders love the area, and I can see why.

  • T. Weisley

Here are a few highlights from my time at Keillor Point: the sunrise was absolutely breathtaking. I got to catch up with old friends and make plenty of new ones. The ice cream is delicious, and the hot tubs were really nice after a long day of kayaking.

  • Nav M

Nice place for evening walk and sunset point on north Saskatchewan river valley in Edmonton. Street parking is easily available. Loved the whole vibe. Close to university area. Walk further down 5 mins for nice and clear view of highway and river.

  • Braedon St. Onge

A disappointment to what it once was. Edmonton ruined a beautiful thing. The ruined concrete pillars are what made the place special. Now there's no reason to visit as there are other way nicer parts of the valley with better views of the river.

  • cameron ross

Ruined it. Would give 0 stars. They cut down the pillars so there's no walk out point and put up chest hight fences. Completly ruined the view. Im never coming back. (Picture from before edmonton destroyed my favorite spot.) Thanks edmonton :(

  • Chris Grotkowski

Nice view of the river valley looking west and North... can see the Valley Zoo across the river and Hawrelak Park to the North... directions may be wrong but I tried. A lot safer than what it used to be... now its fenced off for safety.

  • Haroon Ahmed

This place is a great view, just sad to see them erect such tall guard rails, it obstructs the view. It was nicer when it wasn't built, but clearly it was dangerous. Wish they had gone with something a bit lower so you can easily see.

  • Neil Smith

Lots of bugs, but you get a good view of the sunset. There isn't any good seating available, just some weird concrete half-cylinders that are difficult for shorter individuals to sit on and they're too big for straddling comfortably.

  • B Dog

Beautiful and safer than it used to be. Wonderful view, great place to watch the sunset. I kind've wished they'd kept "end of the world" as its official name, but I'm sure it will survive in most people's minds that way for years.

  • Diana Tan

End of the world re-opened after all those constructions. The view is AMAZING and the best time to go there is during sunset. You can also walk around the trails and explore the nature. Highly recommend to check this place out.

  • Claudia Ramirez

Really nice view and neighborhood. I have yet to discover the trails but a great place to enjoy. Love the river valley

I visited this place at night. I should come when the sun sets next time. I can't see anything because it's dark. But the view was so great! There is also an off-leash park and a Hawrelak park nearby.

  • 小河马 little Hippo

One of my favorite places in Edmonton. Where you can enjoy the scenery along the north Saskatchewan river, stunning. There is a trail along the river as well where you can explore the beauty of the city

  • Jessica Kim

This is my favourite view of the North Saskatchewan River. It was formerly referred to as “The End of the World” Lookout prior to construction on the viewing area to make it more safe and accessible.

  • Tammy Cooke

I stayed close to the water, not on high ground. But trails where great. Busier then I expected to be. Great trails for experienced to moderate hikers. Watch out for bicycle, they can surprise you.

  • Marlene Funk

My boyfriend brought me here where he proposed! Such a beautiful area for a memorable moment...and I said yes!

Used to be called as End of the world, this place has been upgraded (with fence) and kids friendly (you should still keep an eye on them). Fun is not just on the view, but the trails.

  • bruce rae

Serenity and beautiful. Part of the trail system is a beautiful view. Post card photo of Edmonton.

Not the exact spot in my photo but the trails at the river valley are all so lovely, many spots to stop and take in the scenery! The point has changed, though, and so are the trails!

  • Peter Yackulic

If you have stood on one set of abandoned retaining wall pilings, you have had the same experience. Actually, a pretty good reuse of old infrastructure, with an interesting history.

  • Jesse Gebhardt

Came by at night, creepy looking but lovely view. Will be coming by in the daytime soon!

Great place to do a photoshoot, beautiful neighbourhood, great view of the river, minimal graffiti(but would be nice if the city cleaned up what graffiti there is) More

  • Jonathan Nees

Interesting place, great view over North Saskatchewan River. Viewpoint is accessible from road level. You can also walk along the river to get below the "structure".

  • D L

A truly breathtaking view of the river and a great place to take a breather and relax. Usually everyone there is in a good mood and friendly, so it's a great vibe!

  • Gunnar Blodgett

This time of year is lovely. The first green is vibrant and fleeting. And the smells are amazing. No burning gas or other municipal dreck, just budding leaves.

  • Daniel Blais

Designated Prohibited Area...No Trespassing. With that being said, this is an amazing location to take beautiful pictures of the North Saskatchewan River.

  • Chantel McGeachy

Beautiful spot in the river valley for sunsets or just a quiet place to contemplate life or meditate.

Good place to go for a walk and enjoy the view. I recommend visiting during the sunset or during the day as the night view is less than enjoyable

  • Crazy James Waikle

Really great view! Was worth closing the road for the view alone. The stairs are also really short, which makes the steep climb much easier.

  • Jane S

I remember going here as a teenager and it was cool. Now it is fixed up with safety rails but, is still a great view. With nice trails.

  • Kari Douglas

Cool view ... But lots of trash, beer cans ... And a handful of drug paraphernalia.....clean it up Edmontonians it's disgusting there

  • kelly davis

Used to be a rundown point and dangerous hard to get to. But it is now an easy walk to the viewpoint.I recommend anybody go there

  • John Palfrey

It was nice to and talk with friends as went for a walk with no loud traffic sounds. It was more quiet then I thought. Not bad

  • David Mackintosh

Nice view, considering we're a prairie town. Certainly don't climb down below the platform because there's lots of mudslides

  • Sumaya Sharif

Pretty great views from this vantage point. It’s worth a visit if you’re on a leisurely walk or in the need to explore!

Cool place to hang out or take pictures. Watch out for mud and law enforcement if you plan on going past the fence.

This is a spot to get scared of if you dont like heights. I was scared taking the pictures. So picturesque though.

Just one point of view. Not a lot happening. You would be better off on the opposite side of this. One time visit.

A Good Viewpoint to see the North Saskatchewan River flowing through the valley. Spent like 15 minutes.

It is forbidden to go there. Anyway I tried to see there. It was cool but you will smell some freedom.

Great view. A lot of traffic but people move on quickly as the viewing area is pretty small.

Decent place to check out, but it lost its wonder since the renovation to make it safe

Beautiful area to watch the sunset! Just be careful because it is a far drop down.
