I have been taking all my cars to Kennedys for almost 20 years. At any time I have at least three cars and trust them all to Steve Kennedy and his team's care. If Steve doesn't know something about a car, then it would have come from another planet! Steve is always helpful and accommodating, but the business is busy and so fitting in is a matter of making bookings. But, when I have had unusual or urgent problems, Steve and one of his team have always gone that extra mile to get such little but urgent things fixed, working around their own busy schedule, within reason of course. Steve does not 'over-service', like most dealer service departments do, or rather, charge for some service even if they don't do it. He also does not 'under service', meaning if he picks up a problem that may be something different from what you wanted done, but he believes is necessary to keep your car either roadworthy at a minimum or running optimally, he will recommend and quote on that before he does it. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, well-equipped to handle any type of new, computer driven or older, simpler cars, and always delivering good results, always at prices that are great value for money (sometimes just 20% of what a dealer service department would have charged), Kennedy's are hard to go past for old fashioned quality and caring service. I have moved quite a few kilometres away from where I lived when I first discovered Kennedys, but I still go the extra distance to take my cars back to him.

WARNING! Do not use this business! I rang to inquire and was told to tow my very simple, older car up to kennedys for a service. Something strange happened in the time it took for the owner to look at the car and get back to me because when he called to abruptly tell me the motor was completely 'burnt out' and would cost over $5000 to fix and that he would not do it, his tone had become very cold and callous. Being rather shocked and upset about not having the money to fix a car that I thought had run out of battery, I scraped up a further 500 bucks to pay Kennedys for thier horrible service and tow it home. The next day a mobile mechanic came and got my car working and charged me $50. That was well over a year ago and car has worked perfectly since. I don't know if I got kennedys on a bad week, or if he hates women, or doesn't deal well with emotional customers upset by thier dodgey service but I do not recommend this place.

Stephen is one of the nicest most helpful, authentic people I know and I don't really know him...he is just my mechanic. EVERY time i have an issue he has supported me to get it rectified with no fuss and no BIG bills. Couldn't recommend them more. These guys have a great local business with a reputation to protect and they have always been authentic and reliable.

I had really difficult problem to solve, requiring repairs to a complex AWD system. The manufacturer had quoted me 5k with no guarantee of fixing the issue. These guys not only fixed it, but provided great follow up service and were 1500 cheaper. Excellent work Kennedy’s!

Good honest no sh1t mechanic. Not the cheapest but feel the spade a spade and no shady deals makes it worth the money. Have used these guys for the past few years without any trouble. Recommended.
