DO NOT use this company. I've never felt so ripped off. I locked myself out of my apartment and called the first locksmith on Google (wish I had scrolled farther). The staff I spoke to responded that they would reach out to a technician and the technician would call me when they were on the way. 20 min later the technician called and said they would arrive in 20 min. I waited outside and when the technician arrived, we went up to my apartment. Before he started, he said it would cost $180 + a $35 service fee, which seems absurd but I agreed assuming this was normal. He tried to get in for 5 min and couldn't open the door. He then said he would have to drill through the door and break the lock because he couldnt get in. I questioned him on this and he changed his mind and said he was going to make a phone call. He made a phone call and within 1 min another guy was at my apartment. This other guy opened my door within 30 seconds by banging a key into the lock. They then decided to charge me $250 despite what they had said earlier. He said I had to pay through venmo and it went to his personal venmo. After they left, I called the company back to ask them about the transaction since it didn't feel right. The customer service woman said the normal price is $19-$200 and the technician is allowed to charge whatever they want, meaning you're always going to be overcharged. I told them I was charged outside this range, and all I was offered was an itemized receipt that would potentially arrive within 5 business days. Absolutely terrible customer service and a terrible experience overall.
This is the second time using the key maker and both times very satisfied. No waiting for a person to figure out the old style machines that had operators, No waiting in line to pay for my purchase or find some one in the store to help me. Finally, the Keys always fit. Great follow-up and customer service. Definitely 5*.
I had 2 spare keys made but when I tried them both, I was able to insert them but not able to turn the key. I contacted KeyMe by email and they responded quickly. They refunded me the total amount. Great idea but it has to be improved.
The key machine experience was awesome! Impressed it worked perfectly!! I will use it again and refer my friends to this most convenient experience. When you need that extra key...go to KEY ME …
Keys were made fast, i just wish there were a few more choices in the Kiosk to choose from. I tried the keys as soon as i arrived home and they worked great. Keys didn't stick.
For the price I paid it would have been nice to get some kind of rubber on the end like most car keys. This car key I would think to be about $10 not almost $40
These are pricey keys, but the kiosks are easy to find and relatively quick. The copied keys stick a little, but I assume this will wear off with a little use.
My experience with keys made at an in store kiosk have been 100% perfect but special order keys about 50%.
Had an issue with one of my keys and they immediately refunded me. great experience
