I have been working with Kia travel since 2017. The owner/Chernet and staff very attentive, professional and knowledgeable about the laws and regulations. They were able to finish transferring karta under my name with very few documents on my hand. They were able to track down all the required paperwork from kebeles and was able to finalize the karta under my name. They did the IMPOSSIBLE and I will always be grateful for that. Chernet treats me as family, not a customer, the consultation and advice he gives always has your best interest at heart and very educated on the laws and how things work in Ethiopia, I always feel at ease after I speak to him on how to pursue certain situations. They continue to be great by renting and managing my house in Addis. The team is Addis is also amazing. They frequently check on the rented house, take pictures and email with details. They collect rent and deposit to bank. What can I say” I sleep well at night because I know I’m in good hands”. Their wekelena/yellow card/TIN number process is also fast. Biniyam took the time to call and remind me the required documents to speed up my process. All the services they provide are fast and very transparent. Over all, call their office and you will be amazed with all the services they provide.

Terrible service. They charged me almost $300 to process my yellow card. It has been 18 months and counting and I still have not received it. 14 months! I know people that applied for and got US citizenship in 6 months. This process takes one day in Addis ababa. These jokers charged me almost 300 dollars for a service that takes 1 day in Addis Ababa. 10 months and nothing. What is worse is, I have been calling them for the last 2 months asking what is going on. They keep taking my info and telling me that they will call me back after checking with the embassy. Zero call back with any updates. I keep calling and the same thing. At least 4-5 of their workers have done that with me the last 2 months. They basically take my info saying they wil call me back after checking my application, and they never do. I asked for a refund and they refused. Also at least 2 of the guys were unprofessional the way they were communicating with me. They are also not apologetic. I don't even know what to do anymore. I won't get the yellow card, they won't tell me why and I won't get my money back. I got scammed essentially. Never had this type of experience with a business. They no longer respond to me. This is bad news careful

Terrible experience with this company. In retrospective I should have followed my instinct and bought my own tickets when they had to cancel and reissue my tickets several times over because they could not properly spell the names of the members of my party despite an email I had sent with these details clearly spelled. Once the booking was finally completed I thought I was done with Kia but I showed up at the airport in Nairobi to board my flight for Addis and 2 of the 12 people in my party did not have valid tickets. We called Chernet from the airport and he told us to just buy new tickets and he would reimburse us in our return. Now he refuses to pay us back saying that he has applied for a refund from Ethiopian airlines and his payment to us is pending their response. Very disappointed with this company and more so by the dishonesty. I strongly suggest not doing business with Kia Travel.

A+ service. I usually don't bother to leave reviews. But what impressed me about Kia Travel & Document Legalization Services was the use of smartphone technology to process application. Very smooth and high tech. The staff at Travel & Document Legalization Services were responsive, courteous and professional. I called around, checked their online reviews called and spoke with the owner and staff... they were all well informed. Also asked around and apparently KIA has been helping my friends and family's with travel document application and preparation for years. Highly recommend. Looking forward to using them again in a few weeks.

I have paid $278 and waited 10 months for my Ethiopian Yellow Card. Repeated attempts to resolve this issue with Ato Tassew has been to no avail. Save your money, work with a different agency, or direct with the embassy in washington DC. These guys have no clue how to do business in the Western world! they just enjoy taking your money! A scam... I would rate them a zero if I could! Very disappointing, though they came with high recommendations!

The staffs are always available to answer phone and address any questions you might have. Cherenet and his team are very professional. Their pricing is unbeatable.
