Not bad, but nothing amazing either. A solid 3.5/5. We came here as Mum liked the menu. It was different to what we expected. The restaurant was in the outdoor market area in Market Square. It had an “outdoor” seating area surrounded my those plastic sheet blinds, as well as a smaller indoor area. The staff were decent and the food was okay. The menu was quite extensive. We got the sweet and sour fish, the pepper chicken, the shallot and chive beef, and the deep fried tofu. The food was not super flavourful, other than the chicken and the fish. The fish was probably mostly just dough, so that was a bit disappointing. The chicken was probably the best. Even though the food wasn’t amazing, the serving sizes were quite large. Prices were cheap so we can’t complain much. I’d say that the worst thing was probably the seating though. There were a lot of flies that wouldn’t leave our food alone, regardless of what we did. I would have to say that was the most frustrating aspect. Overall, it’s a decent restaurant for a cheap meal. It isn’t the most amazing meal, but you get what you pay for. If you can, try to sit indoors as there are just too many flies outside!

Stopped by for an early dinner just before 5PM. We were immediately seated as only 4-5 tables were occupied. The ordering process is a little convoluted, and we had little help from the staff since you place your order by scanning a QR code. We had to confirm that our order was even placed. They also have a membership program that allows you to collect points towards free dishes, which is a nice offer. The food was prepared quickly and was super tasty. The ingredients were fresh and not too salty. I will definitely go back. I can easily see how my experience could be different if we went to this restaurant during a busy period. The waitstaff tend to just stand around. More training on customer service could help a ton. One other thing, there were lots of flies in the dining area and it it annoying having to constantly fan your food.

Thoroughly delicious and satisfying meals in generous portions at reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient service. Substantial range of dishes and drinks to choose from. Bubble tea better priced than Gong Cha and with a myriad of flavours. Good selection of desserts too. Looking forward to coming back!

Parking
Easy to find parking just before lunchtime on a weekday. A bit more difficult on Friday evenings or weekends probably. Restaurant is right beside the carpark.
Kid-friendliness
Multiple high chairs with safety straps available. Toddler was given a plastic spoon to feed himself. He threw his bowl and made a mess but the staff said they would clean up when we asked for a dustpan to clean.

Great bustling Chinese restaurant with good vibes, good food & good service. Very popular so book and go a little bit earlier to get parking if you go on peak hour meal times. 8 of us went and the table was like a banquet fit for a King. Definitely Kings-Food.

This is the second time we've been and even though we've had to queue on each occasion, it was well worth it! There is a huge selection of Chinese dishes to select from. Everything we've selected was very fresh, beautifully prepared and the taste was deliciously authentic. We loved everything we ordered and wasn't disappointed by any of it. Service was quick and prices were reasonable. I've included some photos some of the dishes we tried and highly recommend. We particularly enjoyed the Salty Fish Chicken Tofu, Sweet Chilly Beef Strips, Green Bean with Mince and Salt & Pepper Calamari ❤️

Ordered take away as my favorite restaurant (malaya corner) was shut. I ordered 2 satay chicken with rice $19 each and wow disappointed with the taste, the rice is undercooked and is hard to chew, the container isn’t even full and it taste like they have used some sort of cream, it taste nothing like satay chicken. Disappointed. You get a 1/10 from me, don’t bother going there, waste of money and fuel.

Our Szechuan Chicken was not spicy at all and the Seafood Horfan with gravy was bland. The Belachan green beans with mince pork was the only saving grace. A very disappointing meal indeed. Lots of people were waiting for their dishes to arrive way after we have paid up.

Everything you could ever want from a suburban Chinese restaurant. Tasty, speedy meals in a sweaty, unfussy setting. Be prepared for the wok hei to pack a punch! Highly recommend the white chicken in special sauce paired with the kai lan and special egg tofu in gravy and a side of steamed rice for a perfectly balanced banquet for two.

Busy restaurant which serves a large range of Taiwanese style food. Food is ordered from a QR code on the table. It came out quickly and was delicious. I love the green beans and mince, the beef with XO was tender and flavoursome. I was disappointed with the popcorn chicken and the spring rolls. The chicken was dry and the spring rolls were bland and mushy. Overall a good place to come for Chinese food.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Fast service and the food was amazing. I ordered the cumin lamb and it was delicious, my family loved their meals too. Good bubble tea as well. The food portions were bigger than expected for a reasonable price.

The staff serving us was very helpful and obliging. They have face mask on. Thanks for keeping us safe. Food was good. This hot and sour soup has the right amount of sourness and heat. The combination crispy noodle has generous amounts of veggies and meat. We were very impressed. Will come back to try other dishes. …

It was very busy and we were served very quickly. The food was fresh and vibrant, it just lacked flavour, we were both very disappointed, the food had no flavour or any real taste of anything.

Ho fun beef was ok but fried rice combination was a big no. No meat at all found one tiny prawn besides that was a large bowl of rice fried in soy sauce. Very stingy with meat portions should be called fried rice (no meat) not combination.

Soo I googled best Chinese this place came up .. I was impressed it is kinda ticked away out back of parking area. Inside is average but food was on point. I got chilli crispy need and rice with a drink $37 and took a full container home. Lots of flavour well worth treating your taste buds.

Seating areas are not properly cleaned. Staff are rude. The food is not served in a good quality, not even an average quality. We ordered fried vegetables, hard to chew, a beef noddle soup, and beef is also hard to chew. Avoid this place if you have other options. More

The restaurant was packed when we got there but the owner welcomed us right away & showed us to our table. Great atmosphere + super friendly staff. Loved the food & we had generous portions too. Would highly recommend & will return again for sure! More

Worst service they do for Uber delivery persons, by the way it’s not the the waitress people mistake but the restaurant which they take orders and they delay in preparing food which they normally take 20min by this the person ordered will

In my experience of Taiwanese food, there exists a spectrum of how salty Taiwanese people like their food, from no added salt (more 清單) to quite salty with stronger flavours (愛吃鹹/味道重的). Kingsfood's dishes definitely lie on the saltier end

Best Taiwanese fried chicken I’ve ever had. Must try! Delicious food, consistent quality, great value for money and extraordinary customer service. A place that always puts customers first. Can’t wait for the next visit.

Somehow 5 years has passed since my last visit to Kingsfood Sunnybank. It wasn't packed when we got there around 6:30pm on a Saturday, though a queue had built out the door by the time we left about an hour later.

The Roast Duck and Roast Pork were stale. The dishes here are generally good. For Roast meats visit Little HK next door!
