This is an overpriced, overrated store. The employees and even the owners are total snobs and sadly, they do not stand behind their products. The shoes they carry are made in China and are not any better than Stride Rite (just more expensive!) The fact is that I took advantage of their big sale in late Aug/Sept. when I purchased three pairs of shoes, which is the only reason it took so long to realize that one of the pairs was defective. I hardly ever return things because it is usually more hassle than it's worth, but in this case I thought it was warranted due to the brand of shoe and the caliber of store. I felt that if I was the owner, I would not have wanted my customer to only get five uses (not even whole days each use) out of shoes purchased at my store. However, the reason I was so upset was not that my daughter's shoe was defective (hey, things happen!) It was the attitude of the employee. I have been a manager in the retail, service, and restaurant industries and I was absolutely appalled and offended by her tone and overall attitude. She actually said, "if we just replaced every defective shoe...." Then, she said there was nothing more she could do for me. I had to then leave the store and call the shoe manufacturer myself, who told me they'd be glad to fix it and apologized like any decent business does, whether they want to or not! Then I had to make 2 more trips to the store after that so that Kixx could send the shoes to the manufacturer for repair per the manufacturer's instructions. I don't live closeby, so it would have been nice if Kixx offered to ship the shoes back to me after the repair was made...Buyer beware! They are sweet as pie until you encounter a problem! ***Update- 7/3/13- The owner of this store is now harassing me via email to take down my HONEST review. This just shows what kind of business they're running. If customers cannot submit honest, fair, and accurate reviews based on personal experience, then there is something fundamentally wrong with the owners' approaches. P.S.- I now get Pediped shoes from Amazon for less money and hassle. They arrive at my door within 48 hours!

I came here like once or twice before for my grandsons footwear. The other day while i was going to massage envy I experienced what seemed to be a customer or a young gentleman exchanging words that were not very pleasant. I heard the young man asking for respect while he was getting screamed at. He later then came closer to where i was at massage envy and i spoke with the young man he explained he was cleaning windows as he gives them a service almost every week and how he didnt feel respected or welcomed most the time he came to the store. I felt for the kid cause as he was explaining you could see tears of anger trying to be held back. I had almost the same experience from the specific lady he was mentioning with the demeanor. Its not what you say but sometimes how you say it and even body language. My experience wasnt the very best and after what i had witness it was unacceptable and i will not be returning to this store. Mistreatment along those lines of race or gender should not be acceptable!!!

The most amazing customer service experience I have ever experienced ANYWHERE. They went above and beyond in so many ways. I initially went to Kixx to get my daughter her first pair of shoes. Everyone was so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. They measured her feet and we have loved the shoes so much. While there, I noticed a pair of cowboy boots that I was interested in getting for my nephews BUT I didn’t totally love the color. So, Kixx told me that they could most likely get a different color in the sizes I need. I never had to go back to the store or reach out to them for updates. They were literally personally texting me with pictures, different options and all order details. I was blown away by their personalized service, care to detail and honestly just how well they treated me. Even though the shoes are pricey, they are all such great quality and honestly worth it just because of the spectacular service! Will only be buying kid shoes from Kixx!

I dropped by Kixx the other day with my adorable "three-nager," who's extremely particular about her shoes, in hopes that dad and daughter could come to an agreement. Dad wanted a rugged sandal, (think KEEN) that would last all summer and Daughter wanted the sparkly flip flops. I quickly realized I was in a losing battle and resorted to the patience and expertise of the store owner who handled the situation like a pro! After measuring my daughters foot and providing wonderfully distracting toys to occupy her attention, she brought out several options that combined what we BOTH were looking for. It's evident that the owner cares about her customers, enjoys working with children and works hard to make the shoe buying experience pleasant for everyone. They have a wide selection of high quality shoes and also BOGO specials every now and then to sweeten the deal. Highly recommended!

We do our best to accomodate the needs of every customer and we always go above and beyond to give the best customer service possible. Unfortunately, we could not make this customer happy and she wrote this ridiculous review under a false name. We have flagged this review due to its hateful nature and we are hoping google removes it as soon as possible. If you are googling a kids shoe store in Charlotte, odds are that you have never shopped with us. I’ve visited this location quite a few times now, each time has been a pretty fine experience and they have a great selection of shoes for kids and adults. Sad to mention that I have witnessed an encounter between an employee and, who seemed to be, a customer which escalated into a discriminatory dispute started by the employee and their arrogance. I am not surprised being that on my personal record, that specific employee is notably unpleasant, but to see that situation escalate to where there was an outburst, was very uncalled for and distasteful. Employees are the face of the company and if I were the head, I would not let that encounter bypass. I feel empathetic for the customer/worker that was in the argument because we relate. For that, I will not be a returning to this store, period.

I’ve told so many parent friends about this place, it’s time to review. This is a GREAT shoe store for children. Most of the brands are companies that only make shoes for children, like See Kai Run, Livvie & Luca, Footmates. But they also carry other brands that understand and love children’s feet, like Cape Clogs. The staff is super friendly and when they didn’t have the sizes we needed in the right colors, they ordered and shipped to us; free shipment. We drove many miles to visit this shop and will do so again.

Kixx is hands down the best place to buy quality children's shoes in Charlotte. I have four children and have been shopping here for years. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and will go above and beyond to meet your needs and find the perfect fit/shoe for your child. If they don't have it in stock, they will even special order it for you. Moms, Dads, Grandparents - Do yourself a favor and go to Kixx. You won't be disappointed.

I have been visiting this store for 2-3 years now. I love the variety and quality of shoes available. The staff has always been very helpful and professional. They have allowed me to take 4-6 pairs of shoes (different styles and sizes) and not charge my card until I come back to return the ones that do not work for my little girl. Great little store, I just wish it were closer to my home. :)

Best kids’ shoe store in Charlotte hands down! My kids love going here - toys to play with and lollipops :). I love going here bc of the shoe selection and the quality of the shoes. The owner and staff are great at making sure I leave with the best fitting shoes. Saturdays can be busy so I try to go during the week. Also, their sales are AMAZING!

We took our 14 month old son here today for his first pair of walking shoes and we couldn't have been more impressed. Everyone was friendly, helpful and found exactly what we needed. They have a great selection and I love there is a local place to find shoes for children! We will be back for our children's shoe needs. Highly recommend!

Small local store, need more shops that are local in our community. Owners are personable and helpful. Even sent a text to ask how the shoes were the next week! The shoes I bought were expensive, but durable and beautiful! They did have good sales and other reasonably priced shoes too! At least take a look around!!

Went today and bought my son his first pair of shoes! First experience and we were very pleased! It was so nice to have a brick and mortar store where my baby could have his feet measured and try on shoes in the store rather than the hassle of online shopping/returning. We will be back!

Best kids shoe store in town! I took my 10 month old to get some shoes, and everything went extremely well! Employees were helpful and very kind. Not to mention the affordability, and as a teen parent, this was a huge win! Definitely will be back.

I was able to find Stride Rite and other cute shoes for my grandprincess. The associates will take all the time needed to get your precious 'little ones' fitted in the right shoe. Highly recommended!

The best in quality and experience. I Iove that they maintain a record of your childs size and purchases. That has made it easy for me to shop for my granddaughter, even if she's not with me.

If out of stock and Kixx's needs to order for you, you will be waiting. My last two orders, I've had to wait over 8 business days. Otherwise, a good store if shoes are in stock/available.
