I first visited this place in 2019 with my grandchildren and we all enjoyed the outing. On the limited estate one could see a few other animals aside from Koalas. We'd also been to Taronga Zoo, and while this is diminutive by comparison both in size and diversity, this offered us a totally different, more leisurely and personalized family experience. It additionally has a children's park. To keep them engaged as the family takes a breather at decidedly one of the most quaint, homely and stylish Cafe that mercifully carries an old world charm where -well- one could read our even author novel!! On my current trip from India I've visited the Koala Park numerous times as a stop over on my morning walks to grab breakfast. I enjoy -.nay- look forward to the outing. Vegetable pie with salad, fish and chips, brownies....it's vast fare. Mmmmmmm!!! It's a leisurely experience....and yes, it has a lovely gift Shop. Try it out.

The sanctuary is a simple and old fashioned family program. You can have your tickets online or at the place (by the time I went, the online option was not working with apple pay). At the counter you will be able to buy some food to feed the animal for an extra $3 (one sack of food will be more than enough for a family to enjoy the experience, believe me). The staff are friendly and the place is simple. Right next to the entry, there is a cafe with a simple and delicious food. There are not too many animals, but for the $35 entry ticket, it is more than fair. Adding to that, you will be able to feed and pet some animal, like the kangaroos. During the day, there are some moments where you will be able to get closer to the Koalas and also absorb really interesting information about them, provided by the well trained staff (and you will not need to spend more money to that). I think that, tough it is a simple structure the place offers, it is really a enjoyable experience for a fair price. Highly recommend!

About 2-3 hour experience for adults if you don't rush about. $32 adult entry. They have a Koala talk where you can get close to the Koalas. Feed the kangaroos area, farmyard animals, a small reptile talk where you can stroke a lizard. A small playground best for kids 5-9. Pic nic tables. A cafe. I went on a Sat and there wasn't a lot of people there, which is sad for the park, I hope it keeps going, but there are no queues. I think a positive is the park is small enough and quiet enough if your kids are a bit older (8-11) you could probably let them run off. My feedback to the park would be create a kids worksheet where the kids have to find animals and answer a question about them, and sell for a dollar with a pencil just to cover the cost, so parents can let their kids run around. Also the guy who did the reptile talk was a super nice kid.

I read the reviews and went here with an open mind. There’s plenty of good things about the park, and certainly areas that could be improved. You’ll see lots of Australian animals up close and, at certain times (like late afternoon) you can almost have the entire park to yourself. Staff are kind and helpful. Animals seem well cared for. You could certainly spend a few hours at the park and see everything. Enclosures are simple, don’t expect anything elaborate. The place certainly requires more maintenance; one poorly cut fence had sharp metal that I caught my finger on. Food in the cafeteria was better than I expected. Not many high chairs, and they could use replacing. Plenty of space to eat. I’d suggest younger kids may enjoy the park more than older kids, and my toddler certainly enjoyed it. I may not come back regularly, but I’m glad I came and supported a local attraction.

It is a great place to spend a day with family and young kids. The interaction with some of the popular Australian animals and birds was memorable. They have Red tailed Black Cockatoos which are rare to find in the city and different varieties of Wallabies and Kangaroos. The Koala session was the best of my visit. You can have close interaction with them during the session. I managed to get few pictures of Koala with the information provided by the staff member. They have picnic area and a on site cafe with great variety of food and drinks. The friendly staff at the cafe and shop is a plus. Finally, if you have young kids, you must visit this place as kids get to learn a lot about the range of animals and birds. The Sanctuary is located on a not too busy Castle hill road. There is an ample car parking available with (extra room just incase you have pram).

The sanctuary is a very small zoo, yet good for the kids to explore. It probably needs a bit of face lift and renovation to make it more attractive. The staff were friendly and there were plenty of animals to see (including bats, an eagle, a wombat, emus, dragons, southern cassowary, dingo, farm animals, etc, all of which we weren’t expecting). My 6 year old twin nephews who just arrived to Australia, loved being able to get up close with the farm animals, feeding kangaroos and petting koala, all at no additional cost for us! The park was quiet and it has a small picnic area to rest and have some snacks. Sheep shearing is one of the shows kids really liked and was conducted by an expert (a really funny guy) who cut off the woollen fleece of two sheep in a minute! It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours, especially if you have children who love animals.

I live very close by and had never thought of going here until one day where my partner and I had a free day and decided to give it a try. We weren’t expecting too much. Just to see some Koala’s but it turned out to be a great little zoo. I love how you could get to pay and feed the kangaroos and sheep. I wasn’t expecting that and loved that they didn’t charge and extra fee to do that. You only need to pay a couple of dollars extra to get a bay bag. My only wish was that we could hold the koalas but I understand that there are new police’s in place now that they are an endangered species and the sanctuary can’t change that. Overall this was a great experience! I would recommend to go early in the morning as it’s not too busy. We went around 9/10 and we basically had the park to ourselves.

I was so impressed with this place! Last time we were there was before COVID, and they have updated the place. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and interact with my kids, they had a ball. It’s easy access with a pram, clean toilet facilities, plenty of hand washing spots and out in the open. We didn’t check out the cafe. There’s a cute playground for groups. The kangaroos are approachable and friendly for feeding. And the goats are keen! We fed them through the fence to avoid them jumping on us with excitement, and the kids were very happy with that. Thank you to the team, we will be back!

It’s a family owned small zoo but it has everything u need to see. Went with my mom and we really enjoyed our visit, spent a nice morning there. Sadly they don’t allow touching the koalas anymore but you can still have a close encounter and take pictures with them for FREE. Also, we bought a AU3 bag of grass to feed the kangaroos, there were quite a number of them, very friendly and cute, you can pet them. Took a lot of good pictures. People said there were not many animals in this zoo but the point is you get a close encounter and interact with these lovely animals which I enjoyed a lot.

Koala park is a nice park with a variety of animals that one could expect to spend around 2 hours end to end. The park is setup on a relatively smaller real estate that limited the number of animals one could accommodate. Nonetheless, contrary to other comments we did find the place quite amusing and loved by the kids as they got to interact and feed some of the animals. A family onetime pass costs $86 only so you get what you pay for. I think this place cannot be compared to a Tarongo or Sydney zoo but for its size it still offers a enjoyable time for family with young kids. Staff were very friendly and always had a smile on their face which we found pretty welcoming.

I have visited here twice and I enjoy visiting the animals especially the Kangaroos and birds, You have a great selection of creatures. However I was disappointed when I entered the gift shop and saw Hats made from Kangaroo Leather, Don't understand why a Wildlife Conservation park is selling Unethical products made from Australia's own Native Fauna and therefore contributing to the largest Kill of land-based Wildlife in the world. I otherwise had a lovely time and would be happy to visit again and recommend to fellow animal-lovers once this place phases out Kangaroo products.

Lovely little wildlife park with the opportunity to get up close with some of the animals. The day we went it was overcast with intermittent heavy showers, so was quiet, but still had a great time. The keepers were great and really spent time explaining things during the talks/meet the animals exhibits. They even used our phones to take photos of the whole family group. The kids loved feeding the kangaroos and goats and getting to meet koalas up close. The Cafe/restaurant served up some great food quickly and reasonably priced. A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

Not often you can get so up close and personal with native animals, you can tell the staff take great pride in looking after the animals. It's also clear the park can do with a bit of extra maintenance but considering it was damaged badly by a storm earlier this year I will give it a benefit of doubt it's being fixed up. Got to feed baby goats, pat a kangaroo and pose with a koala. Very good for first time visitors in Australia. With a bit of a make over, May be introduced a breakfast with the koala package like some zoos or a special dinner with the norortunal animals this place could be a bigger attraction.

The park's admission price of $31 for an adult seems a bit high considering its relatively small size. However, it does offer a serene and well-maintained atmosphere where you can delight in observing the animals and savoring the food. You will find everything here except Koala Only one koala in Koala Sanctuary which is weird. It is like a small zoo where you can spend like two good hours feeding kangaroos and goats. There are dingos, pythons ,alpacas, ducklings, rabbits , and a lot of hungry goats You can buy food to feed kangaroos and goats at the entrance for $2.5 packet. Kangaroos do not eat that food at all and are super lazy but you can feed the goats and there babies. The ticket is $28 per person for adults which some of us will find expensive for a small park.

My expectations were pretty low coming to this park in comparison with the competition such as Tarongo Zoo, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that this zoo is now one of my favorites. The zoo is not too big nor too small, 2 hours is plenty of time to get around and see everything. For just $28 you get to pet a Koala and take photos with it, and also pet a Kangaroo as well as feed it.... What a great deal. The other animals displays such as the emus, birds and goats were fantastic. I really recommend visiting this place over the busier and more expensive Taronga.

This place requires planning of transport and having tickets are important. Carrying the koala is a must do. However pray it doesnt scratch you or pee on you. That would be funny though. Suggest you to carry wet wipes and sanitiser. As its required. Fun day. Pack some snacks with you and a bottle of water. There is food available at the attraction and a variety of diff animals available to see as well. These are just a few of my pics. Going in a group is more fun.

Nice place to see skme endemic species of Australia including Koalas, Cangaroos, some birds and reptiles. There are some live shows which describe about the animals and you can ho close to coalas and touch the reptiles. The get only one reptike out per day to touch and play for the guests. Wash rooms also availabe and they are clean. you can feed cangaroos and there are packets of dried grasses to buy at the ticket counter ro feed cangaroos.

Such a forgotten treasure in Sydney. Go during school time and enjoy a relaxing walk through this beautiful jungle of gorgeous creatures and extraordinary wildlife. Head down around 10am and there are shows every half hour from dingo's to koalas. Stop for lunch and then head to the farmyard and reptile show before feeding some goats and heading home. Amy is a wonderful knowledgeable presenter who is so patient with the endless questions from kids. Got bitten by some bugs so wear appropriate clothing but otherwise a great time.

Very good park. Worths the price and the time if you want to see koalas and Kangaroos and some wild life. Buy a foodbag at the entrance and enjoy feeding the kangaroos. You can stay with them and touch them. It is an amazing experience. We went by bus and I recommend it. One morning or one afternoon is enough to visit the park. There are three shows during the day, repeated in the morning and in the afternoon. One of these with koalas.

I had a wonderful time visiting with family! The animals seem well taken care of, and it was nice to get the chance to interact with some of them. You can buy bags of hay for feeding the goats, sheep, and kangaroos. There are scheduled feedings of the koalas that you can take part in too. The place is well shaded which helped keep us cool on a hot day. There's restrooms, a gift shop, and a cafe for food and drinks as well.

Hadn't visited the Koala Park for at least 40+ years. It's a great wildlife sanctuary surrounded by suburbia, but you wouldn't know it. The wildlife exhibits were interesting and relatively well maintained - staff and volunteer staff look after this place. Areas under maintenance and upgrading but didn't detract from the experience. Despite being the premises a bit tired and needing some renovation, this small Australian animals park offers a unique chance to get close and even pat and feed some of them - various wallabies, echidnae, dingos, koalas, sheeps and goats, wombats, emus, reptiles and snakes, kookaburras and cockatoos. The sheep shearing show is fun, instructing and entertaining, too. Keepers are very gentle and keen on explaining all about the animals to very curious kids. Recommended for children.

This place was amazing. Not your hustle and bustle Koala Sanctuary. Staff took the time to talk to you about the animals and their welfare. Due to storm damage in 2018 it badly needs refurbishing and money. Alan one of the keepers there was exceptional, professional and knowledgeable. Look him up when you visit. They certainly are passionate and caring about the animals there. We loved it.

We had a wonderful short trip to Koala Park. It's a quaint, older sanctuary that houses numerous Australian animals and birds. The koala presentation and dingo stroll were captivating. Surprisingly, you can even interact with a dingo! Witnessing one of the koalas with a Joey was truly remarkable. Additionally, you have the chance to feed kangaroos and goats. The goats are quite lively. All in all, it was an enjoyable adventure, particularly suitable for kids.

Well suited for smaller kids about 7 and under. Not a huge park, and safe to let them run about. Playground near the cafe. I was hopeful theyd have more koalas, we only saw about 3. Beautiful roaming peacock beside the cafe was a sight to see! And good opportunities for the kids to get up close to farm animals. Recommend for a good outing with kids of about 2-3 hours

I am a disability support worker and I took three of my participants to visit the Koala Park Sanctuary today Saturday 5/6/21. We arrived at 10am and did not leave until 2.15pm. We walked around looking at all the enclosures and went to all the talks and shows. We visited the cafe for a cup of tea/coffee. The best part of the day was being allowed in the koala enclosure to get close for a picture and patting and holding the farm animals in the farm yard.

Find this place really depressing, there is one lone penguin here that seems so out of place. Only three koalas who are great to see but they don't have much, the staff are friendly but when asked about the number of koala's stated "they are hard to get" which personally sounds terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place, it's just a tourist trap that the owners clearly keep open just to make a buck and have no interest in conservation.

Although it was a hot one today the whole family had a lot of fun at Koala Park. Thankfully most of the walkways are covered by trees and/or in the shade. So looking at the animals wasn't too hot. I was surprised how many animals where out & about. I even got to pat the wombat thought the fence. That with being able to pat koalas during the koala feeding made me happy. The kiosk was great and exactly what we needed after a hot day

Just visited with my family on Sunday. The Koala Park is a lovely experience which has been running to a high standard for decades. Great range of animals with space to roam. Many animals on display are rescued native animals that could not survive in the wild. Volunteer Natasha was incredibly helpful and informative about the animals, and introduced me to an emu.

Fun and a good family experience for kids and i Highly recommend for a family fun weekend. Lots of Australian birds, reptiles and kangaroos. The cafe is terrible, unfortunately. I order a ham, cheese, tomato toastie but only got a ham and cheese toastie. I didn't make a fuss about it but the staff came over to correct the order. Only to tell me, since I started to eat, they cannot change it. Terrible customer service.

It would have been fine if entry was about half the price it currently is. But it's got nothing on Symbio wildlife sanctuary. Place is looking really run down, rubble and incomplete construction projects everywhere, caravans and buses parked inside which appear to be there permanently. It's all looking a bit sad and depressing really, needs a few million to fix it up and turn it into something far better.

Had a lovely day today with my daughter and grandchildren at Koala Park Sanctuary. Taylor was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for my grandchildren to have the best experience with bottle feeding the baby goats, patting gently the blue tongue lizard, baby swamp wallaby, rabbits and guinea pigs.

I only make reviews when I'm really pleased with something, that's no exception for this sanctuary! The female keeper doing a koala talk this morning was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making me feel inspired to want to know more about the animals. I had a great time, all the workers were friendly and I could tell they were all passionate about the park.

It was my first time seeing koalas and kangaroos, and it was super worth it!!! I absolutely loved everything about the park, including the reptiles. I would and will recommend it to everyone who wants to have a good time with the family (oh, remember to bring food to do a picnic).

It's a small sanctuary for animals and it's so well kept. Considering it's history of building the first Koala Hospital in Australia and to protect their fur coats..you do get a sense that this environment is in the best interest of the animals and not for profit.. the family had a great walk for a couple of hours and staff were friendly and helpful..

Wonderful park, it may seem small, but it has all the Australian animals you’d want to see. Good size to spend a couple of hours. There are presentations of koalas, feeding time, and other activities to keep you engaged. There’s also a small cafe with snakes and drinks. Perfect park for those who want to be close to kangaroos and koalas.

This is a great place to visit if you want more interaction with animals and a chance to feed them. The greediest sheep in the world lives here and it WILL steal your bag of feed and swallow it whole Big and little kids will enjoy a few hours here.

Despite the weather, we managed to visit Koala Park. Nice location, even if a little bit smaller than a "proper" zoo, and yet you can find every animal from Australian environment: koalas, cangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, kookaburras, flying foxes, wombats, emus, an alpaca (?). Extremely impressed with the place. A great variety of Animals to see here from Koala, Kangaroos, peacocks, rabbits and many more. One can easily spend 3 hours here. We were lucky to get to see Koala Presentation and were allowed to pictures extremely close to Koalas. Staff were friendly. They also have baby changing facilities.

I love such zoos with no crowds. Of course they are not as popular as Taronga, reasons are obvious - so far from the city! Anyway animals look good (except of cockatoos who really need more space for life!). Direct access to wallabies and partial to koalas brings even more fun. A lot of different animals - recommend to visit!

A bit dingy and small/ old maybe, but it was still nice to go to one of the only places you’re able to touch koalas (gently), and you got to see a lot more animals and pet kangaroos. Almost got locked in though because I was still walking around after it closed. Very friendly parrot. Overall good experience.

We have been here before and highly recommend this wonderful family friendly Sanctuary. So much effort has been put into improving the park and guest facilities, the animals are well cared for and the park offers so many different birds , mammals and reptiles to see ; a must do in Sydney’s north west !

I really love visiting this park! They have special sessions to touch and feed certain animals there. Sadly you can't hug the Koala as it is illegal in the state, so you can only lightly pet them on the back. It's definitely a fun place to go with the kids! Highly recommend it for family outings.

It’s a cute place for little people and tourists to learn about koalas, wombats and other Australian animals. You can buy food for the animals and feed them, which makes it a petting zoo and poses a contrast to the idea of conservation. Overall an entertaining experience.

All of the animals are Australian native. From Kangaroos to Cockatoos and Emu. With all different colors, and species. It took us relatively 1h30min. We only saw 1 Koala, and it's a Koala park, but the Kangaroos were lazy and didn't feel like jumping! Kids had a blast

I live locally but I’ve never been there. I had a group of friends from overseas who wanted to see native Australian animals. We had a wonderful trip and spent a good 4 hours at the park.

Great little sanctuary. Was able to interact with the kangaroos and see the other animals close up. Informative signage provided much information as well.

Drived for more then 3 hours, because of traffic problems, we were be there at 16:10. We asked friendly if we can short come in and buy a ticket for 50 minuts. The blond girl showed zero empathy and said very mean that it was not possible.

One way they are showing compassion by rescuing farm animals like sheep, lamb etc. On the other side they are serving them in the lunch menu. And they call themselves a sanctuary. Also when I asked , they didn’t have a single vegan menu!

Nice to feed and pet Kangaroos! You can make photos with koalas and see wallabies. Still quite expensive for 32$ and more a zoo instead of a sanctuary. Would it still recommend.

Nice place to visit. Not too far from the city. You get to see range of animals here. But ironically there’s only one Koala in this Koala park. However, staff is absolutely kind and generous. Park maintenance could be improved more.

This place is an very nice 'mini zoo's which it is nice and calm along with that you can feed the kangaroos. Recommend families to come here

Recently migrated to Aussie. This was a treat to finally see Koalas for real. Half the time my son kept asking me if they were soft toys. Great experience!

This Zoo is quite small, but people could play with the kangaroos inside. They are friendly. Visitors could take a photo with Koala as well. Also, this zoo is good for a whole family to come here for a short trip.

Such a great experience with an awesome touch of old fashioned Australia. Wonderful staff and face to face with dingos and koalas. Should be a regular family day out for Sydneysiders, and a must see for tourists.

Amazing Sanctuary not saturated with Tourists. Interactive experience with Kangaroos, Farm animals and even a lizard or two!

Lovely walk among native plants. Impressive trees surround all commonly beloved Aussie animals. Babies and young kids love it. Friendly goats, kangaroos and peacocks... playground and cafe available too.

Lot of opportunities there. Has lots of potential to be a great park for all age. Most of the cages/capativity either poorly maintained, empty or too small (I think). Again, this place can be a real gem.

Very cute Park. The animals are a good set too. Lovely for ppl to have a friendly kangaroo encounter. The kids enjoyed it too. The cafe is nice with good food. The staff were extremely friendly and nice.

Excellent animal sanctuary with hands on experience for the young and old. Professional educators to learn about our native animals. Including a wonderful cafe to enjoy. Bob. Central Coast.

My daughter and I had a great time at Koala Park We touched and fed small kangaroos, goats, and lizards and saw koalas up close.

Small but beautiful place, where you can see Australian fauna, interact with kangaroos and wallabies, have a closer look to koalas and learn a little bit about them.

Had fun there with our kids, especially the little one. Do have a look at the Koala display timings in advance.
