My partner surprised me with dinner here on Valentines Day and it really did not disappoint! We have now found our new favourite Turkish Restaurant in Sydney- absolutely amazing flavours, high quality of food and exceptional service. Felt like we were welcomed into the owner’s home for an authentic Turkish meal. See you next time! More
I found that a wonderful place in Newtown that I've experienced this restaurant. I tasted of ballon bread with dip and Turkish sausage pide. Especially, ballon bread's flavor was aromatic from sesame seeds also four diffrent dip was fresh and nice. And cozy mood and staffs was very friendly. I'll visit again.
Konak is ICONIC! The food is delicious, and the portions are generous and well priced. The service is wonderful, especially Ali the business owner, such a lovely guy. I come here all the time with my girlfriend and my friends and always have a great time. 10/10 would recommend More
Our time at Konak was good. The restaurant offers a decent variety of dishes and is conveniently located in the heart of Newtown. The food was satisfactory, providing a good overall experience. Additionally, the prices are quite reasonable, making it an affordable option. More
Excellent food and service. We did not have to wait long, the food was freshly prepared, delicious and served in style. Upstairs seating is much better and spacious than on ground floor. Dont miss this place, if you are around the area. We will definitely visit again!! More
Yum! Great food, it’s a bit different to the usual things you’d expect from this cuisine so I loved that! Felt like I was exposed to some really delicious dishes I didn’t know about otherwise, and everything was very affordable. Staff are very friendly as well. More
Very good Turkish breakfast. Our number 2 or 3 in Sydney. Great scrambled eggs with sujuk, good clotted cream with honey, olives, fruit and bakery items. The Menemen was good as well, but not our favourite in Sydney - a little too soft. But
Had a really good time here. The place looks small from the outside but it has more seating on the rear and upstairs. Soft music, comfortable seating and nice ambience. The food was pretty good. We went for the 39$ all you can eat meal. The
Bread is the star, with the woodfiree pide here, as it should be - it is freshly baked and fluffy inside and a thin crisp top - all the textures that you don't find in most pide elsewhere in Sydney. You'll smell that fresh bread as you walk
Not a lot to say here. It’s a kitschy little Turkish restaurant. Servers were kind. The food wasn’t very special unfortunately. The dips lacked punch. The textures of the eggplant dish were a bit off and there wasn’t a lot of flavour. Vine
Headed here for a long awaited work team dinner. IT WAS GREAT. Excellent, warm & happy service; chilled atmosphere; and tasty tasty food. We had the banquet menu and did not go home hungry. You can tell the food is made with love from this
Oh, how I love showing my German partner that Sydney kicks Berlin's lederhosen in restaurants. Turkish is a tall order, as it's pretty much the only food that delivers in the capital of the once evil empire. Sadly, she prevailed this time.
So yummy! Beautiful, quaint atmosphere, friendly and warm service. The halloumi with apricot was so delicious, and the vegetarian pide was incredible, so fresh and brightly flavoured. They make their own bread and pides in a gorgeous wood
Went there with my family for bday celebration . Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Food staff atmosphere everything was amazing. They also served us complimentary Turkish tea and baklava as well for the bday. Definitely going to go
Looking forward to going back here. Nothing on the menu disappointed and most dishes exceeded my expectations. The stand out was the grilled haloumi. Everything felt light and fresh. Not your typical Turkish Restaurant here. Make sure to
Lovely family owned restaurant! Food was very unique and delicious. We walked in to see if there were any spots available however waiter mentioned the waiting time could be quite long. The chef overhead our conversation and asked us to
Wonderful experience at Konak all thanks to Chef Ali Kose and Yagmur Benli, the proud owners and chefs of Konak who put all their effort and love into the creation and delivery of each dish. It was my first time having Turkish food and
Absolutely amazing! As a picky eater I had trouble deciding what to get but everything was so amazing and worth every cent. It is definitely worth going outside of your comfort zone. I had a few dishes that I was unfamiliar with and
Konak is not only my favourite restaurant in Newtown but in Sydney - it is so good! Every single dish is fresh, tasty and the plate goes back absolutely clean. Friendly service and do yourself a favour and get a balloon bread. More
Absolutely amazing, fresh, authentic Turkish food. Sara was an incredible waitress and was so generous and helpful. The tzatziki, falafel and the knefeh were incredible. Would 100% recommend this restaurant :) More
Came here a few weeks ago on a Thursday night, and we sat out the back in the covered courtyard area. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly.
Wonderful meal with authentic flavours. Won’t say that I am an expert with Turkish cuisine but this was amazing. Great food, very well priced and just all so delicious.
Good Turkish cuisine with cozy atmosphere in Newtown. Lamb shish with rice and pide is a must try. If in a group the mezza platter will serve 4 people. More
Amazing value for the food, and it's very delicious too. The breakfast banquet was a good mix of everything you could want - salty, savory, sweet. More
Very fresh and delicious Turkish food. Ordered prawn casserole, pide bread, chicken Ali Nazik kebab, and the knafeh dessert; very happy with all! More
