A gem by the river. This elevated, secluded park is recommended to all. Its quiet, clean and well serviced with BBQs, water fountains, a nice playground, under covered tables, has 2 toilets, ample bins and surrounded by beautiful scenaries from 3 sides. I didn't go fishing, but saw many fishermen, boats and jetskis in the area. Also suits families with kids if they are loking for safe tracks for cycling or scooting. Finally, this is a medium size park, so may not suit large gatherings.

It was a great park and will be again but the March 2022 left it in sorry state. The playground is still good (above flood level) with plenty of shade, shelters and amenities. The river path is clear but weeds cover most areas. All shelters along the river have not been replaced so with most trees gone there is little shade. The boat ramp and car park is servicable. Fishing is quite good from the pebbly shore ... but no shade. The dog park is open but quite weedy.

Love this park, but no enclosed dog park for such a large place. This was renovated since the floods it has loads of parking, a boat ramp, lots of BBQ stations and even fish cleaning stations. It has an off leash part but really we need an enclosed area for dogs so they are safe from the rivers edges and the beasties that live there! That, extending the paved walking paths and providing ♿ access to dog area with a path will make it five star.

One of the calm sides of the river. Although I'm not an expert, it looks good for boating, canoeing and fishing considering how calm and clean it looks compared to the Crosby Park side of the river. And I've witnessed people doing the above there. And there's, a play ground, dog playground, biking track and a short foot path for those who may want to explore the bank and ease their mind. And benchs to relax and have a meal if you wish to.

Great for fishing, boating, kayaking and other water activities. Really open and calm part of the Brisbane River and it's not too busy even on weekends as a lot of people tend to go to College's Crossing. I think this is better for kayaking and fishing as there are fewer weeds. There's also a large unfenced off leash dog area. We've taken the dog out a couple times with us in the kayak and caught a catfish first time out fishing here.

From almost living here as a kid to now taking extended family here, I and now the grandkiddies have always enjoyed this ever changing park that overlooks the river. There's a nice assortment of kids' play area and one for the older kids. Also, they are currently making a bike track. There are toilet facilities, places to sit and a couple of tables, and a gas BBQ with a sealed road, plenty of parking and a boat ramp to the river.

A pleasant park for a picnic or river entry point. There’s a large unfenced off leash dog area next to the river which is great, and a small children’s playground and outdoor gym area. The playground is more suited for slightly older kids and somewhat limited, but there’s plenty of open grassland area, picnic benches and some toilet facilities too.

There is something for everyone at this park. You can put the boat in, do a spot of fishing or get some sick air at the pump track. There's heaps of shady spots for social gatherings and kids parties as well as table and under cover area. The dog has to be on a leash but their is heaps of space to explore and go on little adventures.

I was working on the clean up after the recent flooding of the park. I hadn't been there before that. The locals are very lucky to have such a beautiful environment in which to undertake numerous aquatic and land based activities. We are all looking forward to returning the park to it's former beautiful state for all to enjoy.

If you are thinking about taking your children to the bmx track I do not recommend. The bmx track is all run down and falling apart causing lots of injuries because the council is not taking care of it. But I do recommend taking younger children because there is a nice park that you can have a party at and also go fishing

Went out for fishing and BBQ, Only thing I was doing was PICKING UP OTHERS Rubbish from fishing along the way (I could leave it,but why?) I love my fishing but take bait bags with you and put in BINS provided.. Only problem is needs more toilets down bottom of Park. will have to go back with boat ️. …

Great new bike track suitable for toddlers - teens, plus a nice walking path by the river, and a playground mostly suitable for primary-aged kids with climbing equipment. Fishing spots and a boat ramp, too, but the floods have made the boat ramp dodgy.
Dog-friendliness
Designated off-leash area

  • Veronica Mingay

Nice park for children and dog walkers. Council are upgrading with a cycle path. Plenty of facilities, toilet block, paths, benches etc. Very unsightly, weedy bank to the river though. Since the last flood it has been left to grow awful weedy shrubs and is an eyesore.

  • Stacey Hayes

Good place to catch some catfish..kids liked it.. best bait was prawns.. must bring shade if fishing and aeroguard for flies. Toilets and playground are 100m walk from the river and BBQ's available. Bring drinking water as non avail on site.

  • Nerisse Potgieter

Green grass with play areas for kids, clean toilets, good path for rollerblading etc and nice picnic spots. The boat ramp is still closed due to the flooding. Spent the day sitting next to the water fishing. Relaxing day for sure!

  • Jake Carroll

A really nice, spacious and well planned play area for the kids. No fencing and an open drain make it higher on supervision requirements however, given it backs onto the river right next to the park. Otherwise, really lovely.

Kids are using the CAR PARK as a race track!!! There is a total disregard for the safety of other park uses. Someone is going to be seriously injured and end up being hit by vehicles. Property has already been damaged !!!

  • Tegan-Allanarvic Carran

Very open spacious park. Dog friendly and boat ramp available with parking for trailered vehicles. Lanscaping could use some TLC as all the grass is brown but other than that a perfect place for a family outing

  • Bonnie Edwards

Laid out on a steep, terraced hill, in a river bend. Toilets, good play area with covered climbing equipment on the upper terrace; open areas and boat ramp on the riverside level. Parking in both places.

  • PurrfectMistake (PurrfectMistake_)

Pretty environment, especially if you're kayaking; You get to see much more! Fish weren't hungry when I was there but they're definitely there! Only caught a 37cm flatty but others that went caught bass.

  • Matt Dekker

Fantastic place for a BBQ, playground for the kids, plenty of parking, well maintained and beautiful, totally bring the family for a BBQ But keep your leash as dogs are welcome but no leash free area

  • Aaron Ainsworth

Nice location, good amenities, disability parking and toilets, small children playground, bbqs and undercover eating areas, next to the Brisbane river. Would be good to see extra facilities installed

  • Simon Hutchison

Great place for a family day out!!! Keep in mind that the park was flooded and BBQ'S are NOT working. Has a boat ramp, kids playground, seating areas and toilets. Can't wait until it's all fixed up!

  • Christine Flewellen

Beautiful park which suffered such damage in the last floods. Will be wonderful again, great to see the public using it..fishing, playing games, scooting, BBQing, picnicking...just enjoying..

  • Peter Lonnie

Nice Park, shaded by trees. Play equipment and BBQs well maintained. Lots of grass to run and play, whole park has a nice outlook over the river. Will definately be taking the kids back

  • Danny Wood

Unobtrusive this place is not the same since the floods... I know council are trying to do works there but much more is needed. All the good fishing beaches are no longer there. …

  • Mary Cullinane

Lovely location for fishing. You will need to take snacks/lunch and drinks as there is no kiosk. Alternatively you can take the short drive to College's and use the kiosk there.

  • Tony Brown

A nice place to go for a day by the river, there is a boat ramp, BBQ and toilets. Fishing is a bit hard due to weed and reeds, all we caught were a multitude of small catfish.

  • Amanda Fischer

Great clean park. The boat ramp is good. Love seeing all the dogs that bring their humans for a walk and a play. Fishing is pretty good off shore or in a water craft.

  • Daniel

A decent spot to go fishing or put a boat in, but between tides a lot of debris seems to get pooled in this bend of the river, so its a little gross.

  • Lisa Tame

Love this park. Not only a park but it has a BBQ area and a new bike track beong built. Great area for fishing. Has a dog off leash area.

  • Rev Doddy

A great place by the river. Loo's, fishing places. A kids park and box track. Busy at the weekend but nice and quiet in the week.

  • Sally Wasef

Nice fishing spot for little kids. Fun catching catfish. Lovely playground. More than one BBQ. Nice place and not busy.

Nice fishing spot. BBQ facilities. Toilets and children's play park. Fun for young and old!

  • anonymous anon

Heaps of bugs when sun goes down. Take some shade you will get burnt while fishing.

  • Jase W

Need to make a few spots so people can take their kids and fish. Nice place though

  • Peter Koppman

New electric BBQs and great playground for kids. Lots of catfish in the river too!

  • Tracey Bradshaw

Still lots of clean up and repairs to be done after the floods of 2022
