Me and my wife had just put a deposit down for our first new construction home back in 2021. It was when we got our first "contract" that made us realize that we actually had no idea what we were doing. This is when I googled "lawyers near me" in google only to find Kormans LLP with some quite stellar reviews. Within a few hours - I had Jonathan reach out to me (by phone) and lay down the foundation and steps from start to finish of what me and my wife were getting ourselves into. It took about 30 minutes for us to already feel like we were in good hands. However, the true MVP in this entire process was Heena. I can't express how diligent and responsive she was during the last month prior to closing. She made sure that all the information from the builder was reaching us in a timely manner. She also volunteered to follow-up on information with the builder / builders lawyers when she didn't have the answer for me! The best part? despite my sometimes ridiculous questions, she always answered them patiently and respectfully. I truly owe her for making this process as smooth as it was. At no point during this entire transaction did I doubt if my deadlines were going to be hit. Really can't go wrong hiring Kormans LLP. Our son recently bought a condo, and I was helping him. Once the offer is accepted, we were referred to Korman's LLP. At first, I was hesitant because I never heard of them before. Then, I started communicating with Christina (the Law Clerk), and I was amazed by her responsiveness. Whenever I had an issue or question she responded to me quickly and letting me know what to do and/or is she would take care of it. On the final closing date, we met Amy (the lawyer) virtually. She is pleasant, professional and very considerate. She explained the whole procedure clearly and to the point. Whenever, we didn't understand the clause/issues, she answered our question explaining the cause and effect of the scenario. In general, both Amy and Christina performed their duty nicely until everything went through. The closing happened on Friday, and late afternoon, we had an issue getting the key. The building concierge told us we would not be able to find the key before Monday since the management office is closed for the weekend. We informed this mishap to Amy and Christina, and it didn't take them long to resolve the issue and contact us. We were able to get into the place the same night. In general, we are happy we used their service, and I definitely recommend the Korman's LLP.

Kormans did an extremely poor job in handling my home closing. The lawyer did not do his due diligence whatsoever and did not look into existing liens on the home before closing, after we paid them 4 figures to do that one simple thing. I wound up having to pay a delinquent tax bill and fight for months to get reimbursed through title insurance when the previous owner was being uncooperative. Kormans had the audacity to e-mail me and let me know they would usually charge $500 to draw up the title insurance paperwork on the lien they missed but that they believe in good customer service so they'll waive it. So arrogant, I will not be using this firm again in the future as this was a rather egregious lack of effort put into the most basic task, which caused my family a great deal of unnecessary hardship over the past 12 months

I was referred to Kormans LLP by my realtor. They were very responsive, competent, organized, efficient and supportive. When I was buying my first property I mostly communicated over email with the team but they were super organized with clear requests and information. David Korman was very helpful with questions. I also corresponded with Vlad Bogoslavets that helped me with inital requirements of the process. I went into the office to sign paperwork prior to closing and met with Taimoor Qureshi who patiently walked me through the paperwork and answered all my questions. The process was swift and pleasant. I also corresponded with the paralegal Alla Tumanska who was great to work with and very organized as well! I had a great experience! Recommend them to any new home buyers for sure.

Have to share my bad experience with this law firm, my law clerk assigned Shannon was out right rude, never picked her phone up, pushed me to read the emails and communicate with emails; even though I mentioned that due to my busy schedule going through emails is not possible. A day before she sent me an “email” to get the very large downpayment bank draft or else the lawyer would not be able to complete the transaction, even though this email should have been sent at least 2 weeks in advance. Very unprofessional attitude wonder if this law firm hire on the basis of family ties or professionalism. Do not recommend anyone going to this law firm, unless they rectify this poor service and give justification of all this bad service given to me.

I had a really bad experience at Kormans LLP. They were my lawyers for my first home purchase ever. My questions weren't answered and I was ignored and told that they were too busy to speak to me when I called. When I went to pick up the keys and confronted the individual who was handling my case she became extreme defensive and yelled at me in the hallway of the office. It was such a bad experience that after my deal closed I wrote an email to convey my feedback and experience. The individual who was handling my case wrote condescending emails back again being extremely defensive while cc'ing the entire office. It was so bad that the individual in charge of my deal ended up being fired. I have never gone back for any of my home purchases.

The service and communication from Kormans is excellent. Farah was a great liason between us and the Lawyers. Yashkaran the lawyer in charge of our file was great at explaining all the paperwork and answering all our questions. However, I do have to say the disbursements from the firm and hidden fees added up to a significant amount, more than one would expect. A better job can be done of sharing average disbursement costs ahead of time, so as a customer you are not shocked.

Being able to do everything, including all signings, online was very convenient and they are using the best software I've seen for this purpose.
