My partner and I came here on a Wednesday afternoon to watch a sporting event. The pub was about 30% full, had one bartender on and a manager, who chose to partake in watching the sporting event rather than manage. We were greeted quickly by the bartender but after that there was a lack of care about the rest of the experience. We each ordered a beer and shared an order of wings but unfortunately the hot wings never came as the bartender forgot to ring them in. I understand that it gets busy and these sort of things happen. We asked about the wings after waiting for 45 minutes. 15 minutes later, and an hour after originally ordering them, they arrived but were the wrong flavour. Again, not a big deal, it happens. The things that bother me are that we were never checked on, never asked if we wanted another round when our drinks were empty, plates weren't cleared from the table, had to ask for our bill and nothing was offered regarding the poor service. When I suggested maybe we get a discount, the bartender was nice and went to ask his manager, who was sitting with other patrons and watching the game, however, the manager seemed annoyed and waved his hand as to sluff us off and did not care that customers could see his reaction to us asking for a discount for poor service. Things happen, I understand that as I worked in the service industry for many years, but at least show in the slightest like you care about customers. I usually do not write bad reviews or even complain to servers about things as I understand what it is like, but I feel like this is worth while. Oh, and the wings seemed to have feather still in a few of them.
DOUBLE BOOKED THE UPSTAIRS PARTY ROOM, LEAVING MY GUESTS (20+ PEOPLE) AND ME WITHOUT A VENUE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT!!!! First off, I have been a regular customer at Kramer’s for about 4 years, and have 4-5 times rented the upstairs second floor “private party” room for various celebrations. I have always had a great time here, but yesterday I had the worst experience ever! I had rented the upstairs floor for another event for about 20-25 people. Turns out there was a DOUBLE BOOKING, and another big party was happening upstairs when I arrived!!! I called and the manager called me back a few minutes later, saying there was a confusion/misunderstanding and that he is going to see if we can “share” the upstairs with the other party. Turns out they had a huge guest list and it was not possible (that is what the server who was at the restaurant told me). I then tried calling the manager who did not pick up, and later sent a text: “Hi, I'm trying to figure out how and where. I'm so sorry, look like there was a reservation that I never saw”. Then nothing thereafter. I said I wanted the downstairs floor to ourselves but because it was karaoke night they said it wasn’t possible!! Can you imagine how it felt expecting 20+ guests to a private event and your booked space is not available??? On a Saturday night??? There was a minimum spend of $1500 which we could have spend downstairs! Instead they offered us 2 tables! And I have never heard a word from the manager!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, and none of my friends or myself will ever go back here.
I feel this to be an unsafe space for women. On Thanksgiving Monday, we went to Kramer's probably around 8 pm. It was a quiet night and we could have enjoyed our time there except there was a very drunk and disruptive guy who seemed to be an employee there since he was carrying boxes and things to the back. We were seated at the bar and he kept brushing against us while he walked around. I stopped him and asked him if everything was okay because he kept brushing against us despite there being plenty of space in the bar to walk around. His response - to abuse us drunkenly and claim he was the owner of the bar. The bartender later confirmed he was not the owner. We paid for our drinks and food and left soon after. Meanwhile, he sat at the end of the bar and kept yelling and came over and abused us again. One or two people kept asking him to calm down but the female bartender later gave him a drink also. We ignored him after that but he also tried to pick a fight with another visitor there. This incident has convinced us that we'd never go there again, it felt like an UNSAFE SPACE FOR WOMEN. We will discourage anyone from going here.
Very grumpy owner. Usually there are specials when asked owner responds saying no specials if you like drink or get out. I am surprised at this attitude in a city like Toronto. Edit : firstly I like kramers. Food is good and staff are great. Secondly you seem to have mixed me. Perhaps you have been rude to multiple people. And also this is not the first time I have seen you being rude. You can do all you want you can charge 200$ for a beer. You can put up a wall outside. Don't generalize by saying nobody tips. I have always tipped because of the lovely service provided by Chris and Kate. It's definitely not a must to provide specials I agree and I guess you know what's best for your business. But being polite and courteous doesn't cost anything. If it's something you have offered in the past you should communicate it. If you have a problem with participants not tipping inform them or the organizers to mention it. Asking someone to get out just for asking for specials is trivial.
A few weeks back I visited for lunch, on a Friday. I ordered the quesadilla, and it was supposed to have pinto beans in it, but it had baked beans instead?! It was edible... But I would not order that again. I asked if they had coffee, the server said yes so I said can I have one please... But it never showed up. at least it didn't show on my bill at the end though. My friend that was there with me ordered a vinaigrette salad as advertised on the menu and she was brought some other type of dressing that was not vinaigrette, and when she asked for vinaigrette they brought white vinegar. The server had no clue what malt was. Meanwhile the server was taking frequent smoke breaks out front in full view of our seat. Overall not a great experience. I might go back one day but only in the evening
Friendly Owner and Staff who care about their food and guests. Had the burger with bacon and cheese with a side of onion rings. Solid meal especially with hot wings to complement. Laid back atmosphere helps loosen work/life stresses. Good selection of liquor. We started with a pitcher of Long Island Ice Tea that was gone in record time. Situated on the north east side of Yonge & Davisville. Easy access from Yonge Street. Although the front door can easily be missed. Look for the bus stop, it's right beside that. The main floor has no views/no windows other than by the front door. Think bowling alley with a long bar on one side and tables on the other. Singles to groups can be accommodated.
Funtimes always happen at Kramers! It has been awhile since I last visited this place but I felt at home right away as soon as I stepped in. Crowd vibe is young and hip and crazyyyyyyyy!!! We went for karaoke Friday hosted by Andy. People who sang were not shying away to have a great time. And we did so as well. Bar staff were super chill and always smiling. Prices were ridiculously affordable so you basically have super fun with friends and leave the night with still a chunk of change in your pocket. What more can you ask for? A fun destination for midtowners and an alternative getaway fun hub for downtowners who wants to have fun midtown style!
I (we) have been frequenting this place for 3 years. In this time we have had our Shih Tzu with us while we sit in the outdoor patio sitting area. The last time we were there (Sat June 10 / 23) for food and drinks, our pet was with us. We were served. No issues. Today Sunday June 17 / 23, I was refused service. The server gave me a reason of "Not dog friendly". No further explanation was provided. We were discriminated against as dog owners, who may very well could have a Service dog with us. Which to my understanding are allowed to accompany their handler into an outdoor patio.
Great mixed drinks and price with the bar rail special ($4) and reasonably priced pitchers. Food portions are much more than what you pay for with fries starting at $4 for a small plus when you eat in the portion is more than enough for a meal. Bartenders are very likeable and provide quality service. However the atmosphere is ruined occasionally by the trivia/karaoke nights which not only make it nearly impossible to relax, they also turn up the lights seemingly the highest brightness. As long as you avoid these nights it's a quality neighbourhood bar worth visiting.
Sketchy management, was not concerned and tried to cover up a random and unprovoked attack on my husband and friend. We were sitting at a table just talking to each other when a guy came up and punched my friend out of the blue and then when my husband tried to stop them, proceeded to punch my husband 7 times in the face while bar staff watched and did nothing. We called the police and bar manager said the footage was not clear to identify what happened. He told my husband to clean his face and essentially walk it off because there was nothing he could do.
I've been going to this place for karaoke and trivia at least once a month (and usually more) for at least a dozen years. I came into Google Maps to write a review about another place, but I was asked to write a review about this place, and now I kind of feel like I can't in good conscious go without giving it a great plug. The food is solid, and the tap selection is both varied and rotated regularly. The staff are really friendly. This is a neighbourhood bar with a lot of class and soul. I can't think of a bad evening I've had there.
The night I was at Kramer's I would have to say the service was horrible. There was only one server for the whole place. The food I had ordered was good but it took close to a half hour just to get a bowl of soup and onion rings. Even though the wait was long the food was good. It seems that this place has a trivia night every last Monday of the month, this is the night that I chose to attend. Had a great time at the trivia night met a lot of great people. Kramer's is conveniently located close to the Davisville subway station.
I was visiting an event upstairs and just wanted to have some food and relax on the first floor in quieter atmosphere and couldn't. They just refused serve me food cuz I was an attendee of the event. I had to walk to another place to eat. The server was fine though but she referred to the manager directive. So manager... It's not nice to turn away customers like that. Still can't understand why I am worse than other customers and why I wasn't allowed to have some food from menu for my money. I really feel bad about that.
Hosted a birthday party in the upstairs portion. The venue was very accommodating and laid back leading up to the event. This put us at ease and made everything run smoothly and organically. Everyone had a great time. What makes this review five stars is that the lady looking after us, Chantelle. She was amazing. Super friendly anytime we needed anything she was on it. She was up and down the stairs so many times, whatever we needed she made it happen and quite personable! A gem of a server. Thanks Kramer's.
Came across this place when looking for lunch. What a little gem! Sandwiched between two fruit markets on the east side of the street. Unless you're looking for it, it's actually easy to miss. We had the guacamole and chips, and their Georgia salad and cream of mushroom soup. Amazing food! everything tasted so fresh... definitely a must try if you're around the neighborhood. Great atmosphere and Andra at the bar is a jewel herself. Thanks for the great service and food! We'll be back for sure!
Pretty dysfunctional service tonight with our waitress completely forgetting to enter one of our meals and not even clueing in after she delivered three plates to a table of four. Messed up simple drink orders and didn’t even bring napkins until we asked mid-meal. Food was fine, nothing special, but the price helped justify it. Wouldn’t recommend for anything more than a super casual drink and light bite, but even then there are probably better spots in the area.
Kramer''s Bar & Grill is the place to be. I have been visiting this place for more that 3 years now and I find it very welcoming, accommodating, friendly and very respectful. I have tried all the food on the menu. Everything is very tasty and hot when it comes on the table, that means the food is freshly prepared. I love all the menu they serve, but my favourite one is the chicken wings!!! Even writing about it now makes my mouth watering!!! Mmmmm. ........
For years we have been enjoying Kramers patio with our dog. The first time we confirmed with staff she could join us and they were very welcoming of our canine companion. We were even there last weekend for dinner with her. Today we were informed Kramers is not dog friendly and they wouldn't serve us. No signage posted to this effect ans no answers to questions as to when and why this came in to play. Please, in support of all canines BOYCOTT Kramers
I usually only go here every so often for a beer after work as it is nearby. The bar is usually fairly empty at this time. There is usually a few regulars hovering around the bar. The staff are usually pretty friendly and attentive. There is normally a drink special of some sort each day. Usually it's a rotation of a single brand of beer for around $5. They have a number of tv screens so it would probably be an ok place to watch a game.
I only come here for the Mundolingo meetup on Tuesdays, so this is a review for that. It's far too crowded every time. Granted there's only so much you can do, but they have one bartender for 100s of people which is kind of ridiculous. They should also consider rearranging the patio furniture for more standing room, as it gets shoulder to shoulder out there. Overall I think they should be doing more given the size of the group.
Let's start off by describing the generous portions here at this establishment..... The nachos could and will feed more then one. The atmosphere is calm and pub-like with a great beer tap selection. They also have a unique front styled patio space that is the best on the neighborhood and should be highly considered when compared to others in the area. All in all come check the place out I don't think you will be disappointed.
Amanda made our experience and expectations very satisfactory. Very honest server that does not take advantage of one such as me that is not used to drinking by ensuring that my friend I left behind got my change and actually said to him I hope he gets home ok. I live close by so that was not an issue. No one bothers you and the staff ensure you bother no one as they keep an eye out.

Oh jeez, where do i begin. No ambiance, a blown out speaker in the corner quietly playing music and lights cranked so high you'd think you're at a ball game. Decent drink selection but lemme tell you, I've eaten here twice and both times it was just sad. The nachos are these miserable stale chips lightly sprinkled with cheese and mystery sauce. The salsa is closer to bruschetta mix. Just overall bad experience
Expected little... Got a lot! Went in with my son for late breakfast/early lunch as we were running low on time and options. Hidden gem. Server was handling all the tables and doing her own drinks as well. She was amaaaaaazing!!! Spoke to my 11 year old like a human being. Made a small meal a lovely experience. I couldn't believe it wasn't her place. Old school staff attitude. Should make her boss very happy.
Cozy neighborhood pub/restaurant. The mushroom soup was homemade and delish and the fried chicken was like I haven't had in 20 yrs. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and not a bunch of salt and spices to cover the taste of the chicken. Our waitress was smiling and seemed happy to be working there. All around a great place to stop and have a cold beer and a bite to eat.
Food was delicious! Had the fish & chips, calamari, wings, and sweet potatoe fries. Food portions were larger then expected, fries were nice and crispy Price was really good for he amount of food ordered, they usually have a daily special, $10 for fish & chips. Staff were on point and very friendly. Happy to see they have take-out. Will be coming back for sure.
Somehow I felt comfortable here from the start (have been two times by now). It's so good to have a nice place like this in our neighborhood. Nothing pretentious, just a place for people in the neighborhood to hang out. I have seen how people support each other's karaoke singing. It gave me a warm feeling. I also liked the range of songs people chose to sing.
Dropped in on a Saturday night and I had a great time. It wasn't very busy, but I'll chalk that up to the extreme cold weather. The selection and price of beer was really good. I also enjoyed the food. Bartender was friendly and did a great job. Location was right across the street from the subway making it easy to get home. Highly recommend this spot.
Took them 40 minutes to give me a special of the day burger order (I requested no changes or add-ons). at the 30 minute mark when I asked about my order, I was told it will be 2 minutes, 10 minutes later my food arrives. Great servers, great events, but unfortunately this will be my last visit. Kitchen staff: Get your act together.
I love this bar a lot and have so many positive memories. However recently when I have attended for karaoke the DJ has been very rude. It has happened consistently on 3 occasions and I don’t know what his problem is. He is clearly a capable DJ, but his unfriendliness has really negatively affected my perception of the bar.
It was my first time going there on a Saturday night after work and the bar staff, Dan was doing Karaoke, and Ben the owner were all really friendly and accommodating. All the people there this evening were very friendly. It's nice to go somewhere where the people and staff are not pretentious. Thank you Kramers.
Kramer' Bar & Grill is a great spot! Their upstairs private lounge area is perfect for hosting events. I've been doing graduation parties at Kramer's for the ESL school I work at every month since last spring, and I plan on continuing these events for as long as possible... Really great place, and amazing staff!
I had an amazing time hosting a family brunch at Kramers! Christian was super helpful from the time I made a reservation to the day of the event. The food was amazing, the upstairs patio was perfect for a nice afternoon with the family and service was great. Everyone was happy! We will definitely come back!
love this place! the food is made from scratch and delish. they have a cozy main floor easy to access, where they host PubStumpers Trivia every Wednesday night, which is a hoot. they also have a lovely patio upstairs too that doubles as a party room for events. great spot for a casual drink, check them out
Brutal place. Just brutal. We went in to grab a drink and some apps on a Saturday afternoon, about lunch time, and the bar tender had left to run errands. Had a kitchen member up front who could only serve water. We waited about 10 minutes the server never came back. What an awful, awful place. STAY AWAY!
Came here for the leafs game. Stayed for the food and drinks. The food was awesome, wings are huge and generously sauced. The tater tots are bomb. The service was super quick despite it being a busy night. Also drinks were cheap which is rare in Toronto. Great spot to catch a game or just hang out.
Food is tasty, regular bar fare. Come here if you wanna watch the game with friends and family, it can get rowdy. There is an upper floor where groups can quite comfortably gather. I believe there is a language exchange club actually that meets regularly here. Portions are decent for the price.
The rudeness of one of the staff members is astonishing. 1st they make me wait there while clearly seeing me standing there and some guy cuts me off for service and gets served before me and this person rudely tells me to relax when confronted. Spend your money where customer service is valued!
If you're looking for a pretty generic bar with great bar food and a great beer selection, this is it. It's not a restaurant, it's not a dive, it's not fancy. Any time you're looking for a drink and eats after work it's the easy choice. Try it, if you're considering it I doubt you'll regret it.
The guy with the karaoke is a disaster, 3 tables since 9 pm we asked for 5 songs we had to wait 4 hrs before getting a song. Totally an illiterate at computers and life, do not come here for karaoke. Food and waitress are good but the karaoke is a freaking disaster, Tino will put you to sleep.
This bar is conveniently located near Davisville subway and very near my place. I am a regular there, staffs are very friendly specially Clay(left) and Chantel. They have language exchange on Tuesday evening and karaoke on Friday and Saturday. Love the ambience. Good food cheap bar! 5 star!
Hadn't been here in years. Recent ownership change, updated decor, and some delicious ribs made the night awesome! Great taps, neighbourhood vibe. Too many big screen TVs for me though. I'll be back more - oh, and the ribs were a TOUCH dry. Nothing preventing another go at'em though.
Great local neighbourhood bar @ yonge and davisville. Staff are great!. Karaoke on friday/Saturday. Trivia on Wednesdays. Staff very accommodating for sports events on the tv's. It's alllllll good!

This pub has a "Cheers" vibe - all types of folks are stopping in for drinks and food, there is a cast of regulars hamming it up at the bar, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend the karaoke nights too, very fun environment for all levels of ability.
Very friendly place. We went in without a reservation to have some drinks and were pleasantly surprised. Very laid back crowd and surprisingly all of a sudden we were joining their karaoke night - probably Friday's only-. Nice variety of beers and appetizers.
If you want a fun night out, this is the place. Friendly staff, friendly people, relaxed environment and i have never been to place that had so many amazing karaoke singers. My fiancee and i love popping by here. Food and drinks are very fairly priced.

Used to play darts here all the time - the staff was super friendly, and the drinks and food are priced well. The upstairs allows for dart leagues and parties, and it's a good sized space. Location is great - right near the subway station.
I was seeking a venue for my music school's 25th Anniversary staff party, so I was calling all the pubs on the subway line to find one that has karaoke on a Saturday night. When I called Kramer's they were very friendly and took my
Very underrated bar, great atmosphere with friendly people. Karaoke nights are always loud and fun. The biggest PRO about this place is their specials, cheap drinks and cheap shareables, staff is friendly and very attentive …
Bartenders remember us when we go in, food is very good. Good draft selection and hours. Street side patio as well as upstairs level. Mediterranean sampler is very nice to enjoy with your drinks. Will be visiting again for sure.
We celebrated a friends birthday by reserving the top floor which could have accommodated much more than our small group required including the patio. Staff were friendly and accommodating and it's a great central location.
I have to say that I had a very bad experience at this place. I came inside forgetting my water bottle in my hand (by mistake) and the "owner" came and snatched the bottle out of my hand and threw it in the garbage instead
This is a great local spot to go at any time. Their Karaoke nights are a lot of fun to watch and their drink prices are reasonable! I've also had lunch here and the food was GREAT. Chicken wings are also very good!
Nice place, great ambient, very friendly and fun. Promise that the next time I'll have the courage to sing a song. Like the food and beer. Maybe, I'll suggest that the gin n tonic could be a little stronger.
This is my friend's favourite place. Friendly service and yummy poutine. Unfortunately the nachos were disappointing so I won't be getting them again. But will definitely visit again and recommend to others.
If you haven't been my Kramer's recently it is worth stopping in to see the amazing results of the extensive Reno's and menu updates. A great place for breakfast on the weekends. Fast and friendly service.
Great bar, with a fantastic roof top patio. Great selection of beer on tap. Decent prices and kind staff. Bar is clean and has a wonderful atmosphere. Great place to hangout if you are in the Midtown area.
We stopped in today for lunch. The fried chicken was excellent. The chicken wings were very good. We both loved the onion rings. The waitress was a delight and very personable. We will be coming back.
Quick and friendly service. Great food, had the Chicken Curry. The naan bread could use less butter, but was excellent otherwise. The bill was substantially less than expected! Get the beer special...
The food was sooo salty. Both the poutine and the salad were extremely salty. But the bartender was the best!! She made the experience super memorable! Cheers to her for doing the best job …
Found this place while searching for Irish breakfast. Tried a few other places, but this one takes the cake (or the pudding). Great food and very friendly server. You can bet we'll come back!
It was our first time here. The food was okay, was asking for the dressing on the side of the salad but they forgot. I like the grill chicken (in my Caesar salad), which was very tender
Forced to give tips; Bartender forced a tip upon each drink order. Would place the order on the machine, then tap the tip button himself and confirm before handing over the machine.
Great service and good food. Everyone behind the bar were good at their jobs. I had a cold drink promptly when needed. Would go again and highly recommend for a peaceful night.
I had an awesome visit at Kramer's. Friday night Karaoke at its best. The crowd was very friendly (and forgiving), and just a great time had by all. Can't wait to visit again.
The karaoke was SO fun, and is also free which makes it even better. I’ll definitely be back just for that. I have yet to try the food but perhaps on my next visit.
Found Kramer's while in town on a work trip. it's better lit than your average bar. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great burgers and good place to watch a game
Love the lights on top of the bar. Great service, nice tap selection! Tried a new beer here last week, Chipie (Quebec)— definitely a new favorite for me!
Prices of drinks were fair and staff were friendly. The food was surprisingly good. Kramers is a great spot for a late night drink with some friends.
Fun . Lots of taps. Good service. Karaoke on Saturday night. Looks like it's turned into a good local for the new density at davisville. On the list.
Great family owned pub. The burgers are awesome as are the chicken wings! I've been taking out using Ritual and it is always fast with great service.
My experience was excellent; enjoyed the drinks, poutine was tasty and the portion was generous. Good music, good atmosphere. Will come back.
Great roof top patio. Delicious honey garlic wings and nachos with pulled pork. But best coconut cream pie home made!!! And great service.
Beer and decent food. Decor is basic and clean. Large portions. I appreciated that the music in the afternoon was muted so we could talk

Love this place! It's been here forever and never disappoints. Great staff, drinks and good fun. Kareoke Friday night.
Great neighbourhood haunt! Food is in house made and **unreal**! They also just introduced new special pricing!
Friendly neighbourhood bar with good food, good drinks and replaced atmosphere, a chilled patio in the summer
Catherine was awesome! My mum, sister and, I had an amazing time on mother's day! She was a great bartender.
Pub food, but many items with Mexican flare. The quesadilla is great and so is the bowl of beans appetizer.
Was with a large party of about 30 and the staff was fast and fantastic and the food was really great.
Sound system needs an update, especially for karaoke but the bar is chill and they have a cool patio.
Good beer on tap, and the fries and nachos were well. It was the perfect space for a nightcap!
This is our go to place for lunches during work hours. Service is fast and food is good !
Nice place. Music wasn't too loud. Decent sized portions. Good beers on tap!
