A fuir, à toutes jambes. Affligeant et déprimant. De sinistres beignets tous secs avec pratiquement rien dedans : un peu de gras et une trace de confiture presque impossible à identifier. Ces affreux beignets ont l’air de vous regarder avec des yeux morts et aspirent toute la gaieté de votre âme, à la manière d’un détraqueur. Un gâteau au chocolat baignant dans son nutella. Un personnel très désagréable et incorrect. Au moment de payer, ils nous ont demandé de payer plus que ce qui était annoncé. Un sinistre cauchemar au cœur d’Amsterdam la belle. Nous avons laissé les vilains beignets sur la table. L’ensemble de tout cela nous a rendus tristes, nous a coupé l’appétit et nous avons mis 20 bonnes minutes à digérer la mésaventure qui avait l’air d’une mauvaise blague. Venant de prisengracht, nous sommes entrés dans ce traquenard par impatience de trouver quelque chose. En descendant, seulement quelques pas plus loin, la grande variété des restaurants de toutes sortes et saveurs s’ouvre devant soi. Faites ces quelques pas de plus.

Als die Dame bemerkte das wir englisch sprechen übernahm ein Mann die Kassa. Gewählt wurde ein Muffin, ein Donut mit Vanille Füllung + kleine Flasche Wasser. Preis 36€ mehr als angeschrieben auf den Karten. Ich wusste sofort das es nicht stimmt, aber dachte mir, egal Urlaub ;) Der Mann flirtete uns noch frech an, als wir um eine Rechnung gebeten haben. Antwort: Sry er hat keine Rechnung nur den Bankomat Beleg. Ich glaub das sagt alles! Und dann das schlimmste, Muffin STEINHART und roch nach Schimmel und Dreck! Donut Ok aber auch nicht weiter verspeist aus Sicherheitsgründen!!! BE CAREFUL!!!

Hemos madrugado para conocer la ciudad y es lo primero que nos hemos encontrado abierto!! Mira qué siempre miro las reseñas pero... Vi el escaparate con los pasteles muy buena pinta y... Equivocación 100%. Tanto el camarero como la camarera poco por no decir nada agradables!! Le he pedido una cosa que venía en la carta y me han dicho que no podía ser!! Cuando le hemos pedido el desayuno, amoldando nos a lo que si tenían de la carta, lo he visto bastante caro para lo que ha sido!! Así que hoy he pagado la inocentada En fin una y no más Santo Tomás. No me extraña que en el tiempo que hemos estado desayunando no entrase absolutamente nadie.

When passing by this store we noticed amazing looking sweets so we went in to have a better look. The staff weren’t very friendly but we craved a sweet treat and they looked delish so we ended up with an eclair and an oreo brownie. We had to pay well over €14 for both which was a total shocker and we already felt sorry for buying right there and then and knew it probably wasn’t worth the price we paid. Once home we tried the sweets and it only took one tiny bite to taste the bad quality of these products. Old and cheap and we ended up throwing both away after that one bite. Stay away from this place with their highly overpriced goods, bad service and extremely poor quality.

Avoid this place at all costs!!! We were greeted with rudeness and paid over €18 for 2 coffees, a bagel and a pastry all of which was less than average food. My pastry came fried/grilled with chocolate all over it which I didn’t ask for and wasn’t told about. So we asked for another and they couldn’t seem to understand why we wouldn’t want it like that. They eventually gave us another all whilst shouting in another language. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a place. The new pastry had hairs on it so I didn’t end up eating it. Hygiene here is poor. We wish we’d have read reviews before coming here. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Absolutely horrible. 1 Oreo waffle, Club Bagel and 2 coffees were €32. I never write reviews but this is something else. My girl got the waffle, she likes sweet things and she HATED the waffle, the bagel was OK, nothing special, but more on the low side. As someone who appreciates actually good coffee, were mostly bad but drinkable. DON'T COME HERE. There are places in this style in Amsterdam that are actually really good. But avoid this one.

The first impression is deceptive. We ordered a crepe for 7€, which was completely different to the crepes in the display window. After eating 1/3 of the crepe we found a hair in it. So we talked to the waiter, who asked us if everything is okay. He pretended not to understand, though the hair in the crepe was clearly visible. When we wanted to pay, we were told off by the lady at the cash register, why we did not aproach her. All explanations that we have already spoken to the waiter did not help anything. She insisted that we pay tje full price.

!!!DO NOT GO THERE!!! - 10 STARS!!!! The food is under average and way overpriced! The staff forgot half our order and wasn't very friendly when we reminded them. I ordered a brownie, a ham and cheese toastie and a croissant. The brownie was 5€ and tasted like it's been laying in the display for a few days. The toastie was 5,5€ and is literally just two pieces of toast, one slice of cheese and ham... so very dry and not worth the money!! The croissant was OK. Bottom line is, dont go there it's a tourist rip-off.

Absolutely disgusting food. How can anyone have the audacity to serve food so bad? Everything looks like it has been out for a while so we asked the waiter if they would make us a fresh waffle, he said he would. We had two very different meanings of fresh. His version meant semi reheating an older waffle and drenching it with some chocolate sauce. The waffle tasted like rubber and he charged €8.50! Complete rip off! The tiniest bit of effort would make a massive difference to this place. They should not exist.

Extremely overpriced mediocre shop. Was in a hurry and need a very quick on the go bite, so I got lured in by the "bagel" sign on the window. Ordered 2 bagels without really looking at the menu and was shocked at the 10 euro price! 5 euro for a mass-produced, mediocre bagel. I know it's my fault for not looking, but this place is exorbitantly priced for the items offered. The bagel was fine, but surely not 5 euro good. Definitely look elsewhere if you have a chance, unless you don't care about price.

Lieu à éviter, piège à touristes qui ne mérite meme pas une étoile! Je suis allée manger la bas avec un ami, nous étions les deux seuls clients et l'attente entre le moment de passer la commande et le service était très longue. La qualité de la nourriture servie est médiocre (bagel dur comme de la pierre et sans saveur) pour un prix trop élevé. L'accueil glacial de la "serveuse" n'a bien évidemment pas rattrapé cette expérience qui nous a laissés sur notre faim.

The desserts were okay, but extremely over priced. It was 8 Euros for a single pastry, which is the exact same as the ones you can get anywhere in the area. It's not price competitive and the pastry was okay, but nothing extraordinary so I am not sure why they are charging that much. I sat at a table and there was a freaking cockroach crawling on the booths, which just grossed me right out. I imagine they're all over the food, too.

Ik ben nog nooit in zo een onvoorbereide zaak terechtgekomen. De helft van wat er op de menu staat was niet aanwezig en de service was middelmatig. Een tip voor de bedrijfsleider: zet je zaak op orde! Zorg ervoor dat de klanten de beste service krijgen wanneer ze in uw zaak binnenkomen. Lukt dit niet? Blijf dan niet het geld stelen van de klant. Zo duur ook nog voor de laagste kwaliteit. Schandalig!

I don't write reviews easily, but this place can go bankrupt for all I care. We went in there because there was no night store nearby. Lost 28 euros for 2 small fruit pastries (she claimed she made them herself, which I don't believe) and 2 Maaza tropical bottles. Prices are badly indicated, so look carefully before you pay. In retrospect, I should have just refused the order. 0 stars if you ask me.

Waffles and cakes looked amazing but beware the prices are outrageous!!!! I bought 2 waffles and some churros and was charged 36 Euros. I should have refused and when I said how expensive they were was told prices are that same everywhere!! I think not and also my kids did not like the waffles and the churros were pretty awful and I'm not normally fussy. I feel like I was robbed!!

Ripp off!! 12 euros for a strawberry cake an 10 euros for a donut. When i asked for a receipt there was a "luxury waffle" and 2 donuts on it. I asked him to explain this and then he suddenly pretends to have problems to talk english by using an annoying accent. Strange situation, i was just so surprised that i already had paid him... and the strawberrys even tasted rotten...

Fatal!! No vayais!! 10 euros un gofre y 8 euros un trozo de tarta! Café, colacao, tarta y gofre: 27 euros!! Robó total y el café es malisimo, la tarta es un sin más y el gofre está bueno pero no lo suficiente para costar 10 eurazos! No lo recomiendo para nada, hay mil sitios mejores en Ámsterdam y mejor de precio aunque sea una ciudad cara para los españoles.

Sadly not a great experience. My partner wanted a stroop waffle and we saw one here. But it probably had been in the window a while as it was dry and cold. Some of the reviews here call for it to be closed but that's strong. It just needs care and attention to quality and customer. It's in a great location but is not getting great reviews.

10 euros for an old waffle throwed in the trash bin after one bite. Nothing looks fresh there. We made the mistake not to check the reviews before buying. Don't do the same. Also, they don't accept card payment which is suspicious. Everything in there looks expired or sitting for a few days until it's completely hard rock with no taste.

Ok, so we were high and in a desperate need for a coffee and something sweet, so we felt into a trap. Though looking very cute from outside, cakes were awful! Anyway, 3 of those and 2 coffees = 25€ ouch! And no toilet in the end! Luckily Amsterdam has good places to offer as well, it's just they are not on the main streets, obviously.

Chocolate cookie was good, the bagel was alright. The coffee was under average and the orange juice was alright. I paid 27€ for these 4 items - so absolutely overpriced and feels like a tourist trap. Happened to me, shouldn’t happen to anyone else. Amsterdam has way better places to grab food - unfortunately we were in a hurry.

Dit is echt een graf zaak: ware afzetterij van 5 euro voor 2 bolletjes ijs, wat ook nog eens heel slecht ijs was; zanderig en grinderig van mondbeleving. Het ijs leek wel gemaakt van poeder. Als ijsliefhebber kan je dus beter deze tent vermijden. De bediening is ook apathisch. Nooit heen gaan!

Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Preislich etwas überraschend - 12€ für diese Köstlichkeit. Aber okay - man kann sich ja vorher nach den Preisen erkundigen. Jedenfalls war diese Kalorienbombe mein Tageshighlight und hält von der Sättigung her bestimmt bis morgen an.

We has two bagels, one was mozzarella and tomatoes and the other was chicken curry and lettuce. The tomatoes werent very fresh but overall they were quite nice. They were overpriced and it would be good if he wore gloves whilst prepping the meals. However nice, attentive service.

Charged 5 euros for a muffin that was only 3 euros in the shop across the street. Looked at me like I was a thief when I told him I had taken only one. I mean, it wasn't even physically possible to fit more than one muffin in that tiny bag he gave me. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Bijna niks was op voorraad, de chocolade op de wafel was echt oud. De wafelsmaak was wel oke maar de saus en chocolade was echt niet te eten. Daarnaast waren de prijzen ook te duur voor de kwaliteit.
