It's a decent gym and this is my opinion. It has a lot of older women who dont know how to workout, which i blame the staff for. Members even use the machines as punching bags(no wonder the machine breaks) I've brought complaints up to the staff and haven't noticed any changes. First of all, staff there are not friendly except for a couple of the receptionists and staff don't seem to care about educating the members during orientation. Members who use the saunas pour scented oils onto the electric powered heat, which is hazardous, and I've pointed it out to a trainer. Showers don't seem to be properly cleaned because of the mediocre build-up. Paper towels are not often refilled. The womens room is always hot and smells like BO. Further, understanding that its a public space, parents bring their children for swimming lessons and use the change rooms while other women walk around naked or the child is fully naked. (Inappropriate opinion) Fights have broken out in the men's locker rooms which staff is always unaware of. A female had fainted twice and no ambulance was called by staff. The gym mats are all torn and there are no new replacements. The guest trainers yell at you to get out the studio even though the class hasn't started. A lot of things can be enhanced to make it a better place. This is a busy location and there seems to be no order. Staff just sit at reception or at thier desk on their phones, especially in the later evening. All members are paying for the facility without proper etiquette. I also referred 2 members who signed up, and I didn't even receive a thank you or some type of member loyalty reward. I hope the gym improves. I bring this up as I've seen little to no changes.

So nice and clean! The staff are really nice and the facility is so well maintained! One of the best locations I have been to in Canada! I’m editing this to my current daily experience. The staff are nice yes, but they don’t care to go walk the floor for club pride and put away the weights the way they are supposed to and do in other locations. Enjoy running around the gym finding the weights you need. The gym has gone down hill real quick!!! The change rooms are dirty, there is either no paper towel, no soap or no toilet paper. The mirrors are always filthy doesn’t matter what time of the day you come. There is always either no sanitizer in the workout area, no paper towel, no machine disinfectant or they just do not work and no one can be bothered to change that! The machines are covered in a thick layer of dust/dirt and look like they haven’t been wiped down in years! And let’s not get started on how long it takes them to repair/replace broken items whether it’s machinery or lockers!

A decent two story LA Fitness that replaced the old AMC Movie Theater a few years ago. Compared to the other LA Fitness locations in the city I'd say this has the most diverse set of equipment and the most flexibility in terms of using all the equipment. Unlike the signature location which is old, stale and extremely messy, this location looks and feels clean. While the management doesn't care about the clients, if you're just here to use the gym, they should not factor in. Relatively small weight area but if working out during a non peak period, you shouldn't have any issues. There is a women's only gym area, squash courts, basketball courts and cardio area. The trainers let you use pretty much anything and you can even work in the area that is exclusively set for personal training. Parking lot is decently sized and it's just off the 401 exit. Of the 3 in Toronto I'd rank this #2 after the Warden location.

Loved the gym, most of the staff is great and it’s a nice setting to work out in. My last experience as a customer threw it off being that the manager was very disrespectful, unprofessional, childish and uncommunicative. As a member you’d want to be treated with respect and addressed properly in any scenario but a dispute between the manager and my guest that didn’t need to happen got escalated BY the manager and could have been deescalated or not have had to happen at all. The experience left a bad impression and I won’t be going back to that location for awhile if at all. Peers of the manager were looking at him awkwardly and people chose to leave and not sign up based on the way he conducted himself in the moment. It’s sad how it played out, that was my preferred location to go to. Only giving 2/5 because 1 staff member doesn’t represent the whole group.

I started going to this gym at the end of May and was really disappointed at how they handled a situation when my wallet was stolen from my LOCKED locker. The night it happened the manager on duty told me that the operations manager would be able to check the cameras outside the locker room and help me find out who stole it. I called the gym several times on the days following the incident, and I was told that the operations manager would call me back, they would then hang up right away without even letting me leave my phone number. The operations manager NEVER called me back. This gym lost two customers because of how disrespectful and unprofessional the staff, especially the operations manager, acted. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I am very unhappy with this location and will not be returning to LA fitness.

WORST MANAGED LA IN THE GTA! I've been a member for over a year now and frequent manly locations and this location by far has the worst management. Over the past year there has not been a single occasion where everything was operational. Half the barbells have been broken for months. When informing the front desk it seems Management is aware but doesn't do anything about. (See photo of rows of benches with no bars) Majority of the lighter dumbbells have been brought into the girls only section and not returned. There is broken equipment that has been replaced but management hasn't gotten to throwing out on the gym floor. You can also count on the pool/hot tub being closed at least once a week and when opened is often very murky.

Sharing my experience after being trained by some of LA’s personal trainers; I worked with Shay, Fareed and Victoria. All were excellent trainers and demonstrated their expert coaching in unique ways. My most recent personal training was with Victoria. She was outstanding as she worked with me closely to ensure I get the best out of my training sessions and outside of training. She put together a personalized workout plan and provided guidance on meal prep/diets. Victoria is super accommodating with your schedule and that made it easier for me to become consistent at the gym. Lastly she helped me become super comfortable at the gym with the machines and equipment, which gave me the confidence I needed to reach my fitness goals!

This location is at Kennedy Commons. It is one of the more larger and older locations but is not a Signature club. Large main floor has machines, free weight section, cycling room, women's section, pool. Upper floor has all the cardio machines, squash courts, basketball court and studio. This place gets very busy at peak times. Alot of carpeting and with the pool and humidity, it results in a musty atmosphere. My main gripe is the free weights and benches. As others have mentioned, they are a mess and the lack of bars for the benches and racks is comical. With at least 8 benches and 3 or 4 squat racks. You can only find 3 bars. This makes the it seem more like a wifi lounge to nap than a place to make gains.

I JUST SPOKE TO SOMEONE OVER CALL. The guy was rude. They got no respect for customers duh! You have your job because we pay not because there is a gym. The gym is running if you have customers. Bloody learn to respect the customers and have some manners to talk and be polite to them. I have visited the gym at different location and requested a cancellation explaining that I can’t make it in the time of 9-5 only on weekdays because of my work schedule but they are charging my non stop and not able to find a solution to cancel the membership. To all the customers reading it, make a wise choice not only quality space that would make a difference a quality environment is also equally important.

Hello folks. I just switched from fit4leas to La fitness. My experience is so frustrating because there is no proper way to put dumbbells. It is never in order like fit4less so whenever I need dumbbells I have to search entire gym which took 10 minutes so they should improve that. Nobody is putting back weights so that’s headache. Gym has only one small bar which we use for cable push down that’s not enough for everyone. Whenever I tell the. Staff about bar, they give me false hope and say we already ordered. I highly recommend people to don’t make membership here. It’s not worth it to-spend $50 per month instead go to fit4less. Very disappointed

The worst gym I have been so far -Dissatisfaction expressed to LA Fitness in the United States; however, no response received. -Unorganized facility operations. -Management appears clueless and disengaged. -Training and operations managers observed frequently using phones, seemingly unconcerned about client needs. -Swimming pool closures occur randomly without prior notification. -Lack of responsiveness and perceived rudeness in handling complaints. -Absence of a structured plan for personal training programs; described as disorganized and random. IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!

Probably the WORST LA fitness I’ve been to. Visiting from the US so not sure if this is the norm and people have just come to accept such unsanitary and filthy conditions but I want to say LA fitness has standards! At least in the States they do. I’m not sure this place even has any management here. If so, then why is the equipment worn down, broken, weights misplaced, machines out of order. So much so that I actually got cut by one of the machines. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen I’m not even kidding. SMH

With all due respect to the personal trainers, Do not fall in the trap of Personal Training, they just want to lock you up in a contract and then you are on your own. I signed up for the personal training and we had no follow up after a few session for more than 4 months. Disappointed and frustrated. The Reason I signed up for personal training was to pay you to hold me accountable. The silly excuse they give you is they have over 5000 members and they can not manage everyone :)

This gym has like only 3-4 barbells in total for all the squat racks and benches. It is impossible to get a barbell free to do bench presses or squats. I left the gym countless days without working out, waiting 30 mins plus to get a barbell free and failing to do so. Also the gym is not clean. Weights are never organized. Bathroom is never clean and always stinky. Not worth the 50 per month. Fit4less is way better for lesser price. Thinking of cancelling my membership.

How hard is it for the cleaners to use an old toothbrush to clean around the water fountain spout. Black mould on the shower ceilings. Several staff sitting in the sales area instead of someone putting away the weights. People hogging the benches and squat racks. Taking up residence at the equipment. One guy working out with no shirt on or string tank top, with construction boots sweating all over the equipment. ( I thought steroids was banned)

When you go there for sign up, they provide you limited information just to make you sign up. Afterwards, there are additional charges that will surprise you. I didn’t like the behaviour of the person who signed me up. It was way different when i first signed up and when i went back to inquire about surprise charges on my card. I literally recommended other gyms over this or maybe I didn’t have good experience with this location.

Writing this review to recap my personal training experience. I had Victoria and she was amazing. She made a tailored plan for me and went over and beyond outside of training hours to check in and keep me motivated. I truly miss working with her. As for the gym, I would say it is pretty good. The only negative is it gets super crowded these days. I think if they extended the hours of operation that would reduce busyness.

Several machines been tagged “scheduled for service” pass 2 months. jacuzzi be tagged at least twice a week. Cleaning wise I would say 2/5 .Ever since I registered to this location they have not fix the shower head for 4 spots it is useless I complain to manager, and employee does not look like they care I WOULD NOT recommend this spot AT ALL I WOULD SAY FIT4less way better then this location.

Victoria is so good, she not only transformed my physical appearance but my mindset towards fitness as well. She teaches very uniquely and she is a sweetheart so would definitely recommend her as a personal trainer :)

The entire washroom always smells disgusting It is more than a month that they have not washed the area. Strong smell of urine comes in males change room You can use the entire washroom area, the smells come all the way to the locker room and shower area The workout area never has sensitizer, there are just couple of bottles and all of them are empty. I truly like the group classes and the customer service rep that signed me on was polite and helpful. However, their process to cancel membership is intentionally setup to be discouraging and almost impossible. Front desk staff is indifferent and lack knowledge to basic questions. The pool could be maintained better and the change/shower facilities need an update.

I've been swimming at this location since last year, almost everyday.The pool and the jacuzzi maintenance is terrible. Often both are out of service or the water is cloudy. Also, when I'm out on the gym, some machines takes months to be on service again. At other facilities, all these doesn't happen. Many people is upset. Hopefully, we can see changes, soon.

Overall, the gym is spacious and has good fitness classes, but it’s not the right fit for me. Member/client service is an absolute fiasco. I had to call 3 times and spoke to 3 different people to freeze my account. Everyone confirmed and no one did it, and everyone had different information, it was ridiculous. I don’t highly recommend this gym much.

Terrible customer service, when I went to use my free trial to get a feel for the gym I was directed to a very rude asian salesman who talked very quickly. He was very passive aggressive and dismissive. This person made me feel unwelcome and made remarks of me being suspicious and planning to steal some things.

HORRIBLE. The entire LA fitness team are just looking to make money and use whoever they can. They don’t care about anyone and the place is disgusting. I got injured and was unable to use the gym and all they said was “sorry nothing we can do” 70$ down the drain. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!

La fitness is a rip off gym. So many hidden charges they charge you on freezing your account if you are not coming to gym and then while unfreezing you are charged again although they charge you every month for the duration your account is freezed

Reasonable gym Has all the equipment you need for full body workouts. The washrooms were clean as well. I found it a bit smaller and conjusted compare to other LA fitness branches. There is also a basketball court which is always packed.

The pool's hot water hasn't been functioning since Wednesday, and despite three days passing, the staff hasn't made an effort to fix it. Their lack of attention is quite irresponsible.

The jacuzzi is the filthiest. Stains and grimes along the edges of the jacuzzi. I can't even see my feet at the bottom. Came back months later and nothing has changed.
