Listen, this is a place to recharge from the toxicity of modern life, take repeated walks around the park then add a visit to the spa afterwards and you'll be thankful for it Horse - I met a cute brown horse as I made way way into the forest, he was quite the stallion Oxygen zone - walking by the fern plant community, you'll notice the unmistakable purity of the air around there. Pure air feels cooler, and like breathing in normal air after licking some menthol. Your skin cells would be happy you passed by too! Monkeys! - Say hello to the monkeys, there are some young agile ones that keep jumping around in their cage() There's a clearly raunchy male that did a cute mating walk show me he is the Alpha. I think his name is Alex. The tour guide would tell you Alex* dislikes to see men with women. There was a sensitive female. I held my hand out to a younger monkey that totally ignored it, the female reached out to hold my ignored hand, it was precious, then the little monkey suddenly got interested and was all over like 'me too!' Eki forest - These trees hold years of evolution observed in silence. Pay homage to their resilence and wisdom. The walk through the forest is refreshing. Take a moment to 'forest bathe' a sign in the park would tell you that the Japanese have found forest bathing to be stress relieving and helpful for many health conditions, they call it Shirinyoku Dam - What is nature without water? A calm dam awaits you here, you could sit and enjoy the serenity or you could walk the perimeter, while the surrounding plants sway softly in the cool breeze, serenading you. I did both and spent the better part of my stay here. There are fishes too! You could see them from across the railings Art! - Stop by the art gallery to enjoy some indigenous works Symbols - This is understandbly a choice location for Nollywood shoots. You may see symbols on walls or on the ground that may be remnants from their stages
If you love nature, the is the right place to visit! With nature at it’s peak, tranquility, absolute clean environment, excellent customer service and a wonderful tour guide, I love this park and I’ll definitely visit again. I also think more can be done on this park even though its major objective is to preserve nature. There are only few animals. Like one of the attendants said, it’s not a zoo so do not expect so much. They animals there are either rescued from a careless owner or donated to the park. The reason the park is scanty is because people are not donating to them. I met a tortoise who is 108years old. They call her Mama T. Her picture is attached. There are few games on sites too which were very useful e.g snooker, volleyball, donkey rides, swings (my best part) etc You’ll definitely have fun if you go with a fun group. Just go with a music box and good to eat. You can always get a perfect spot for few hours picnic after the tour. Go and experience it too and share with us. Kindly let me know this review has been helpful. Goodluck Ms. Dara
Lufasi Park is located in the Sangotedo area of Lagos, right beside Fara Park Estate. Entrance fee was about N1000 each for adults and N500 for children. Lekki Urban Forest and Animal Sanctuary Initiative (LUFASI) is a nice very picturesque green space that’s focused on preserving the environment, it has lots of greenery and when you go there you would most likely meet musicians who come to shoot music videos. There’s a horse and your kids can take turns riding the horse, the horse looks clean and well fed. There’s a play area for children also. You can ask for a tour guide and the guide would take you round, giving detailed information on the park, plants and animals there. It’s quite a walk through the park but you would love it; there are donkeys, ducks, a rabbit, goats and lots of monkeys and some other animals. There’s also a small lake on the site. It was a really great experience, I absolutely loved the place and the staff were really nice and helpful.
Lover of nature? Here is the place to be. Amazing scenery. Enough space. You can get lost..the deeper you go, the more quiet and nature you experience. I love this place! Oh boy! Who ever that is managing here, is doing an amazing job. Did I mention the place is well guarded..like there is a staff available at every corner. I love the fern garden,so beautiful. Then the monkeys..they took my beer♀️. And our sleeping tortoise, who bluntly refused to come out of his shell. This is a good place for all outdoor activities, hangouts. I witnessed a marriage proposal. However, from the road, you will never ever know there is a place like this. No! no!, something needs to be done! The park must be properly fenced. This place needs to be advertised! People do not know there is a place like this. This is a waste and under used if people do not visit. This is one place you can absolutely relax.
I was overwhelmed by greenery, fullness of nature, pure air, and tranquility when I visited Lufasi Park. The quiet that welcomed me after about 40km of drive time to get to it was therapeutic. My mission was to take a brief tour round and get illustration ideas for my book of poetry. But the vastness of nature was so much my friend - Uwem Udoh - and I got lost on the magnificence of this park that we simply did lots of sight seeing while he took pictures. There are many spots to chill and relax. There are many spots for gatherings and getting together. There are various spots for animals sight seeing. There are lots of spots that make you feel like you are in a safe jungle. And lots more. The best way to describe here is to ask you to go see it. It's a long way from Mainland. It's even a long way from Victoria Island. But it's worth the journey.
I really enjoyed my time here..Guys!!!. This place is beautiful and serene. Once you get in you are free from Lagos hustle and bustle noise. The staffs around wee friendly but I didn’t like the fact, we didn’t have a tour guide to take out around, though they were like sign board around..I also got to meet with the monkeys ..quite interesting, they all have names and unique personality and there are lakes around too, so many tall green trees.I also stopped by at an art gallery inside the park..beautiful designs.I met with the artist we go to talk about each piece and he makes rally lovely bags. This place is a must visit if you’re In Lagos or you just visiting!! Check out my YouTube channel-neilsdesigners I’ll be posting a video there cuz I vlogged almost everything!
Basking in Nature’s delight at @lufasipark Lagos, Nigeria. •LUFASI is an acronym for Lekki Urban Forestry and Animal Shelter Initiative: dedicated to the preservation of natural habitats in urban areas for use as a field laboratory to interact with and learn from nature. It’s an ideal park to de-stress and become relaxed by •trekking through the woods •listening to the birds chipping •feeling the breeze through the trees •breathing in fresh air and smelling the fragrance of the trees •yoga meditation in the garden •kayaking •fishing in the lake •and watching the sun set. Entry fee is 1,000NGN per adult Kayaking fee is 2,500NGN for 30 minutes per adult. Thinking of nature therapy? Picnics or general relaxation? Then you should pay a visit to @lufasipark
It was a serene place suitable for picnic with family and/or friends. The place is easily accessible with adequate parking space. There is a little playground for children with swings and other play things. They also have a small animal rescue centre where they keep few wild animals especially monkeys which the children might find fascinating. A solo traveller can also go there to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of Lagos, relax, reflect and meditate but if you are looking for activities or thrill, I don't think this place would do. Also entry fee for Adults is just #1000

I loved and totally enjoyed my time at the park. There are no restrictions to bringing in meals, which was a big plus for me. There are guides if you'd rather have a guided tour but the park was really easy to navigate. The authorities are big on recycling, so as you progress through the park; you'd find labelled waste bins. The park was well trimmed and properly raked. There's a play area for kids. Likely the cheapest and most pleasing experience that money can buy. It's best to have cash at hand as there may not be other alternatives to make payment. There's also an art store where you can purchase prints or other souvenirs if you so wish.
Lufasi is a great place to go to when you want to clear your head, take in fresh air or exit the loudness of your environment. I had a great time there with my very good friend and I would like to go there some other day when I have the time. It's also a spot for family picnic, friend hangout or generally, company hangout. Although there are not many activities on the ground, it would be nice if you can create an itinerary of activities before coming so you don't get too bored, that's just how peaceful the environment is.

I totally enjoyed myself in this oasis and sanctuary of nature in city of concrete/steel. The pristine air, animals, trees and lakes as well as opportunities for games (football, basketball, table tennis and chess), a children playground, swings and raffia roofed meeting halls and art gallery were breathtaking. Let's I forget the forest bath spot is something else. My visit to the park was facilitated by my being the winner of 2021 "vulture poetry contest" that marks the 1st Saturday of September in every year as International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD). Thanks #lovingnature
Lufasi Nature Park is a pristine forest reserve in Lagos. It is a privately acquired green area with natural ecosystem still protected. There is also a provision for keeping rescued animals. A pond and martial art class is organized here. There is a playground for children with a wood house. To enter Lufasi we paid a fee of N1,000. A staff welcomes visitors then a guide narrates the history and milestones of Lufasi. Climate and environmental management lecture and wildlife videos are played for visitors too. This environment is serene and conducive for reading or meditation.
Escape the city at Lufasi Natural Park in Lagos—a serene oasis of native trees, vibrant flora, and peaceful pathways. The park's well-preserved habitats house peacocks, monkeys, and other wildlife, offering magical moments for all. Educational guided tours emphasize conservation efforts, while the picturesque lake invites picnics. Ideal for nature lovers, families, and those seeking respite, Lufasi Natural Park is a must-visit to rediscover the beauty of the natural world.

Such a calming place, literally once you walk a few meters in it's like you've travelled miles into a forest. All you hear is calmness, birds and the sound of the trees in the wind. There is a play area for children and young adults, there is even a few table-tennis tables. A big lake with bridges going over, as well as animal section that has monkeys, donkeys and horses. Really enjoyed it and wish to visit it again. Entrance price was 500NGN in Aug 2023.

I visited Lufasi Nature Park with high expectations, but I left feeling disappointed. While the entrance fee was indeed affordable, it unfortunately reflected the lackluster quality of the park. The maintenance of the park was subpar, with unkempt pathways and poorly maintained facilities. The low entrance fee may have attracted visitors initially, but it was clear that this came at the expense of proper upkeep.

I experienced nature in a very long time. The quietness of the nature park plus the refreshing feeling of the sounds of birds and the scent of the trees, grasses and shrubs in the forest. It's a great adventure in summary. I experienced total silence and peace in this place. Living in the city will make you forget the feeling of total silence and quietness until you visit Lufasi Nature Park ️.

I personally love lufasi Nature park . It's one of my favorite,if not the best park so far in Lagos state,Nigeria . It's very calm, good for picnics. With a thousand naira as entry fee, you are assigned a tour guide to take you round ,showing you the entire park itself . Food and drinks are allowed, although there is a food vendor at the park where you can buy something to eat and drink . I do visit the park alone sometimes ,just to stay out and read a book. You should visit .
Best advice is go as a group! It will come in handy for bonding games, team retreats and even Ultimate Search, but certainly not for a lone ranger. I didn't find anything so exciting apart from the trees and nature experienced during the long walk. Also the sun seems to be at its best here, nature park right. So grab a sunscreen and sunshades for extra protection. If possible, bring a hand-held fan, as contrary to what we thought there was no natural breeze.
You want peace and quiet to camp and to enjoy nature? Then you have to come to Lufasi. I call it the tamed jungle. Go to nature and get nourished. And the good thing about the Park is that the creator is always looking for new ways to make your visits memorable. In other words be sure to see a new upgrade if it's been a long time you visited.

It was a very serene environment. You get to breathe fresh air, if you are looking forward to sitting back and watching the beauty of nature and forestation, you can go there, but if you wish to see animals, Lufasi is not a zoo, they have just monkeys and a sea bird which they will later release into the wild.

Took my son on a field trip to Lufasi and it was great. Affordable and everywhere looked really maintained, staff were friendly and Nike our tour guide was patient, warm and had a great knowledge of the place, we went on a weekday so it was practically empty which was perfect for social distancing. I recommend the place if you need some time in nature or want to bring your kids to explore.
I was really looking forward to see the animals, birds etc usually mentioned by Mr Desmond on Nigeria info But I was really disappointed that I didn't see most of it and the place was really scanty. It would be nice if a small cage was created to put the animals by day so we can actually see them, then you can return them at night...... Imagine coming all the way ☹️
a nice nature reserve and animal sanctuary. This place is great for children activities. The fresh air around is great. There are events center and sports area for gym. There are also some animals domestic and wildlife around. There is tortoise that is said to be around 50years old here. #nature #park #wheelchair accessible #kidsfriendly Green #environment
Amazing every time! Our favourite picnic spot in Lagos . Attraction includes- *tour guide *sizeable kiddies Playground with space for football and basket and volley ball *mini zoo *farm Animals *horse ride *hike *lake view *table tennis table etc *space for activities / shoots etc If I remember correctly Entrance is about 1k per adult and 500 per kid.
Awesome experience, cant believe the place is privately funded, saw the owner forest bathing under one of the trees. It could do more by having more wildlife though. Love the fact that they had play area for kids. Quite refreshing, the peace and tranquillity you will experience would make you forget that you are a stone throw from the madness of Lagos
Nature's place. A gift to lagosians. The air is good. The place is beautiful. The lake is just the best view ever. The total serenity of the place makes you want to stay forever. A sure bet for picnics. If your love language is quality time, then that's a place to be with that special someone or even just yourself. I love every bit of the place!
Feel nature in its purest form. I like the fact that they maintain the place. It's a cool place to go when you want to feel nature. Few animals in here. Secured and enough car park space. Safe to bring kids but you have to watch over them. There are mosquitoes so be sure to come with an insect repellent. I liked the time spent here for camping.
Visited the park unplanned but it was worth it. Love the serene environment, Feel good of nature. Aside the duck and monkey I saw, was expecting to see more animals (birds, peacock). I've recommended to a few friends and colleagues to come enjoy nature.

The park provides the much needed walk in nature that is needed in Lagos. While many photos of the birds in the park are available, I didn't get to see any especially the endangered hooded vulture said to be in the park, although I heard birds chirping.

Lufasi Nature park is indeed a stroll in nature! The air inside the park is so clean you'd forget all your worries immediately you set foot in the park. It is highly recommended if love serene environment and would love to bask in nature either alone or with your better half or with the kids as the pack is children friendly also.
Lufasi Nature Park is really a park as the name implies. Very clean and cared for. A good place to relax and enjoy nature. The areas I love most are the forest bath the Lake. It is usually very busy on weekends than on week days. The summer time is also the best time to visit. During the rainy season it can be muddy in some area.
Very relaxing place to enjoy nature in Lekki, Lagos. Cleverly landscaped with flowering plants, palm trees and forest fauna and flora, and 2 ponds. Animal shelters had horses, donkeys, a turtle and various monkeys. Very clean and delightful.

I had a great outing with my family. Apart from trekking the forest trail and spending time around nature, I was able to do some kayaking in the lake for the first time. Great place to hang out. I would recommend though that they invest in getting more animals there for a wholesome experience.
It's okay. Quite a very spacious nature park with vegetations and trees of different kinds and a mini zoo. Although the place is cool, I feel a lot more could be done with the experience of the park so that one could have unforgettable memories other than just nice natural photo backgrounds.
PERFECT spot for those who want an escape from the hassle of the city, serves as a rescue centre for endangered species. Home to many amazing animals. Good place for picnics, sports, forest bathing, drawing close to nature, cleansing your lungs and reconnecting to your essence. …
Nature at its best. If you are one that loves Peace and solo moments visit here. I saw an interesting animal “the cervit cat” the tour guide said it’s poo is an essential formula for quality perfumes

LUFASI nature park is beautiful. a visit by oneself is nice, it's even nicer if you have friends or family members. lots of spaces for picnics, indoor and outdoor games. it might. it be as active as the Lekki conservation centre, but it pulls its own weight. Nature lives here!
I had such an amazing time camping with BackpackersLagos at Lufasi Nature Park. It’s so beautiful to know that places like this exist in Lagos and one can spend quality time with nature. First time also seeing a live civet cat. Beautiful experience! Would recommend 100/100
I met other tourists and my knowledge of this tour area. It is interesting to have this sort of park with heavy growths almost surrounded by residential areas. However, the distance covered was quite short compared to my usual tour experience but it felt great at the end.
Best to experience nature in its purest form, it away from the busy life of Lagos, with different species of animals. It has a natural AIR FILTER which makes the ambience more pleasant

The problem is the lack of activities and things to see, sure it's peaceful, quiet, etc but unless you intend to sit around all day doing nothing, you are going to get bored fast. Was in and out in less than an hour, more needs to be done to keep customers engaged.
A serene place to Meditate, have a picnic with family and friends, relax and take beautiful pictures. A place you can just breath fresh air and strategize on your goals.

Very serene and picturesque with really friendly and knowledgeable staff. The whole park is kept in pristine condition and its layout and programs are well thought out. A good nature escape in Lagos once you can get through the traffic to get there :)
Lufasi offers silence and serenity to everyone tired of the Lagos wahala. They have animal sanctuaries, friendly staff and not aggressive sellers. There are a few trails to walk on and playground, monkeys and horses. Loved the place!
I totally enjoyed Lufasi park especially the Mona Monkey, I liked the calmness of the lake and the beach sand. I didn't see any wild animals because I didn't venture into the Ekki wild forest. The place is serene, clean and beautiful
Relaxing. But went there to shoot a music video so if you are looking into that it’s a great location to comfortably build sets around and spacious

It was a really Serene environment and peaceful. The lake had some fishes with green and yellow fins. There are a lot of places to sit and have a picnic. The male receptionist was a bit weird though.
The serene ambience is more than one needs to recalibrate from the Lagos stress. More needs to be done to upscale it to a recreational part though.
